Hello and welcome back to the on the ball podcast. Now, as you can probably tell, this is not your usual host, Amish mccorcodal. He is off busy with exam so is Christian Pilcher, so I'm going to be taking it solo today. I'm going to be talking about the round fourteen review as well as the round fifteen preview. We're also going to have a bit of an AFL draft segment in there on bit of an offseason duffing myself COPP a lot of stick for it. At the end of the day it's just one of those weird little things I'll love to enjoy about the AFL. It's just awesome to see plays being potentially put into new jumps and all that. So we're going to touch on that for a bit. But let's quickly dive into the round fourteen review. At the time of recording, this is the Thursday night. Currently Brisbane and Geelong are playing. I've actually got that on right next to me, so every now and then I'm going to a very, very quick glance at the score. At the moment, at the time of recording, it is thirty one to one, Brisbane's favorite quarter time. So it's been a huge game so far for the Lions. Lucky Neil has heard his shoulder slightly, but I guess when you're hearing this you'll know exactly how that's played out for him. So round fourteen. We're not going to talk about it too much. There was only about five games play plaid, but will quickly recap. It off with the game of the round to long bulldogs. This had all the hype going into it and it certainly delivered. We obviously all know. But the GARY row and kick after the siren. This game was a huge test for the dogs going to GM HBA. It's probably the most demanding task for any team in the competition, going down there and playing the cats at the cattery. Just about no team gets it done and unfortunately the dogs joined that list of teams. They were seconds or just even a kick away from sealing that victory, but of course the man Gary Row and put it through. I was actually at a bar and Brighton and a few boys next to us on another table. One of them had five grand on the cats to win and headtohead. So strange about that one, but obviously paid off. So they were one of the winners of the week. For me, two cats. I'm not going to put the dogs in as a loser. I'm it was a very hard for match by them. Their stars bond to Pelly mccrae obviously stood up for them, had huge games in the midfield and it was yeah, it was a big gutting to not see and get up because for most of the match they were the better team. Josh Bruce was having one of his best games for the dogs. Are Norton was also a good target up forward until he got hurt. But yeah, it was overall a huge game to watch and probably one of the Games of the year, if not the game of the year. So that was an unbelievable one. The next one of the day after was gold crows port. This didn't quite have the same atmosphere, I guess. It was obviously just ports straight from the get go, apart from the first goal kick by the Sun's por just completely ran away with it. Charlie Dixon was huge up forward for them, but overall it was the big man, Willem drew, the Hamship corcadal host look alike, that took it away in the midfield for them. He's keeping Tom Rock leffe other side of the moment. But Twenty seven touches and seven tackles, alongside Oli wines, who had a phenomenal forty three touches, basically all. I'm contested had six tackles and eight marks as well, so it was a huge game for poor just to rack up a few stats really. They also have the emergence of Miles Bergman off halfback. So for those super coach punters out there kind of took Lucky Jones as roll. So it's great to see a local boy in Mylesberg and get a big opportunity for them down back. As a huge game for myself, mast put a three legs am goo multi on for Connor Rosy. To kick three is the big risky wine and the obviously did it. So it was nice to pocket a bit of cash there. I am going to put Gold Coast as a big loser out of that game, more so than Port Adelaide winning for obvious reasons. This time it was at Gold Coast home ground, so there was always a potential of a gold coast to turn up. However, they didn't been king their speary. They're sorry. Their spearhead and attack was kept to why I say two goals is more so the three touches that highlighted his impact on the game. It just apart from took Miller in the midfield, who stood out with thirty one, and Jacklock, coaches and will power, a very good at half back, there was just no real standouts for them at all. So it's just the continuous Gold Coast display where they have a lot of sort of tense twenty touch players that don't have an overall impact on the game as much like Sak Kilda. So yeah, there's another disappointing performance for them and we're going to talk about how they could potentially improve with that in our so in our middle of the episode segments. So going on to the next game on that day, it was, of course, north Melbourne...

Brisbane. But blockbuster game? No, I'm just kidding, but yeah, I guess we all sort of went into this hoping that North Melbourne could replicate as performance from the previous week. Obviously drew with gws in what was probably the match of the round, surprisingly, but north film were always in it. It was kind of helped by a bit of wet weather footy in the second half, a lot of kid test. It was bit of a scrappy game but over all the lines we're just too good. Obviously North were very, very lucky to stay in it. The lines obviously where then they're inaccurate cells with Ford and behind. But yeah, the end of the day, lines were just too good. Obviously killed him in the middle lines. So jared lines and lucky nel obviously had sixty six combined. Zack Bailey was another standout for the lines. They're just continuing on his day's awesome form. Is just going on to show the competition that he is the real deal. is going to be one of the US exciting players to watch over the next sorry, over the the years to come. He had twenty nine disposals and I can't recall him every getting that many, so that's probably a career high for him. Also kicked a goal human clock as well, with thirty one. He just continues to solidify his authority. Is the number one pick in his draft, alongside the likes of Toronto and fellow midfielders. So that was a bit of a scrappy game. Not much more to be said there. Can't really call morth Melbourne a loser out of that one or the lines of winner so just a scrap of game leading up until gws and Culton. Well, Carlton's woes is continue. I think over the last sort of two or three weeks we've all expected Carlton to get this one hard fought victory. No more honorable losses. And you know not in true Culton fashion, all their fans would start booking, sorry, would start canceling their September holidays. But it's just still not coming. It's just another not even honorable loss. This time this was just a gutting loss. It was a match that was well within their grasp in terms of matchups. But unfortunately, yeah, just once again the giants is too good for the Carlton. Obviously, two ball and straight to seam Welsh. I think many saw that coming. I certainly did. Was He was going to come into my super coach team, but because of that reason I went and paid up for Jared Lyons, who I was very happy with. But yet well, obviously two ball went straight to Welsh and it just sort of set the tone from there. No one really from Carlton got going in the match. I think Matt Kennedy was probably one of the only blowing lights form in this game you had twenty seven coming back into the side, also eight marks and four tackles. I was solid. Gave me, but apart from that it was all gws. They obviously let toby green just get off the handle with four goals and twenty touches. Was Big dodger here and there, you know, a few trippings and or tripping attempts and all that. Was Interesting to see him after the game say that he's not going to change the way he plays. I mean, you know, we all you all have your own opinions on Toby Green. I personally love him, but obviously to see these sort of acts is probably not in the spirit of the game. He it is always awesome to have a bit of a competitive edge, but the end of the day you don't want players sort of, you know, trying to like it, in Toby's case, not get free kicks, but you don't want to see him injuring players and, you know, affecting the result of the game in that sense. Another one that got off the handle for gws is Jeremy Finn Layson, who only thirty touches, but within those thirteen he had ten marks and five goals. So he's just one of those players always gets away from Carlton. They always seem to let their forward lines, especially the lights of Toby Green, one of those sort of medium size forwards kicker bag. So that was always coming. But yeah, Finlayson, the giants have been looking for a bit of a tall Fort Avenue to gold. Look like they've been missing Jeremy Cameron for a little bit the last few weeks. I think I touched upon that an episode or two ago. But Finlayson just stood up exactly where he needed to. He must have heard my criticisms, probably an avid listeners are on the ball podcast, but yeah, he was huge for them. Josh Kelly rolled ankle. We all obviously want to see him out there playing and doing his best footy, so I did. Isn't serious. He's playing again this week, so love to see him out there. I'm eysa coming all over the place when I saw that he was named this week, so that's obviously very good for him. So another good one for the giants. They managed to just stay within grasp of that top eight, but I think it's getting to the point end of the season where it's just every game that goes on. It's just falling a little bit, a little bit more away from their grasp. I think the lowest ranked team, that is Richmond and Sidney and all them. But I just we just can't see Richmond falling out of the eighth. It's just not going to happen. So the eagles the other team that's in that bottom three with those other two teams I just mentioned. But it's just it's just hard to really see those teams fall out of the top eight, especially with the giants draw the other week. So it was obviously going for the giants. Another reason to not write them off, at least for the next...

...few years. But yeah, this one was certainly a loss to Carlton, if we're going to classify that was just one day. Just they needed to win given everything that's going on, especially with the the review that's going to be happening. And David teagues. Yeah, we don't know where he's going to be the next year. And Patty Crips, I think that that deals just about solidified but you know, still hasn't signed and by the looks of how their list is going, they're going to have to lose one big fish. They got a free up some money so the likes of McGovern who's somehow on sort of upward of six hundred seven hundred Kane, Zach Williams? Yeah, don't know about that. Um, I'd love to see this sort of output per dollar that's being paid for him, because I'm not sure it probably stacks up against the likes of, you know, the likes of the top end players in the competition. You know, I'd love to seek comparison between Brodie my checking him, for example, my check. Obviously I think he's sure. He's off the rookie contract now. But yeah, just talking about apple per dollar paid. Don't know about that one. They're so while she's going to have to sign, I think he will. Is A type of loyal lad to what not that I know personally, but it's seems like the type of lad who would stick to the team that drafts him. He's just one of those dream boys that gets drafted there just sticks to the club, does everything you want them to future caps and obviously and he's going to be staying. So honestly, you throw out the likes of, you know, is it going to be Harry mcquay? Obviously, probably not. Like who is it going to be. We don't know. I think the likes of, you know, Petrovsky seat and Zach Fisher and all those sort of w eight boys that are I think Zack fish is obviously good enough to be in that team. Patresky seat and we don't know. Shows a lot of potentially common fens are crying out for him to be playing. But yeah, it's just where it's going to come from. One player all this money that they need a free up or just maybe a couple of midpaid players? That's going to be very interesting to see in this and the next offseason. The following day we just had the one game, but it was a very close one. Hawthorne Essen and the bombers just ran away with it in the last quarter with a thirteen point margin. Once again, not going to really name any wins or loses here. I guess the bombers it was good for them to beat another team that was sort of compared to them prior to the two thousand and twenty one season. So in that retrous in that respect. Sorry, very solid win for them and one of the glowing lights, not just of this game but of the whole round, was the performance of Jake Stringer. Obviously, much to my sort of disappointment, it wasn't kyl Lang for that really got to go in that midfield, not that he deserves to, because my God, I don't think I've ever picked a worse hundred and Seventy K player my super coach team. He got a mediocre s emty, but blime you, that man knows how to butcher a footy. Anyway we're going to. We'll talk about that later. But Jake String I had twenty nine rolling through that midfield, had seven tackles, four goals and just a lazy hundred eighty ranking or super coach points. So just absolutely showcase. What just the sheep potentially here. So the sheep potential he has. We obviously did the redraft of his draft in two thousand and twelve few few episodes back and we all found it a bit hard to Plu to position him, and so I think a few US sort of went sort of five six and I think I can't remember who it was. I think someone didn't even include him in there. So not that I blame them. It's very hard to put to redraft him. You know, knowing string a, he's probably going to do a foot or something next week and he's going to be out for another three to four but it was awesome to see him rolling through that midfield and having the impacts that we all know he's capable of. Another one that stood out for the bombers was nick hind again, much to my life, I've sort of got mixed feelings about this. So he had twenty five, one goal and probably about fifty running behaudss kills, exactly the type player we need and we got rid of him for pick seventy, which I think we passed on. So, you know, fantastically smash. But they're saying Kilda. But yeah, it at the end of the day it is awesome to see any kind playing to the best visibility. He was obviously drafted as a running halfback. stupidly we played him as a half forward. Hence why we moved him on, because we needed to get rid of either him or Jack Loney. Ended up being hind and now they're playing him in the correct position. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. But clearly saying Kilda is not full of genius. So yeah, it was awesome to see hind up and running about because I always liked them as a player, good old from be but yeah, unfortunately he just we just didn't think that he would be any good a half back, but he clearly is. So to have twenty five a halfback is unbelievable, given the amount of impact he has with every disposal. You know, he's just about fifty, fifty meters game just with his legs and then he obviously disposed of the foot and side o the S. that's awesome for him. The return of seem drape with as well was awesome for the...

...bombers. Obviously going to be or probably be, their next Ruckman for the years to come. So that is the review of round fourteen. Can you believe you're already fourteen rounds into the season? It just, it honestly flies by round one s who did not seem that long ago at all. But Anyway, so they've got about nine rounds left until the finals, which is obviously the best time of the season. But yeah, the end of the day, sort of sad to realize that we're already fourteen rounds in and well, but at the moment fifteen rounds in now. So quick score update as well. Not the AON's really in a cake because you're all going to know the fine result. But the moment it's three thousand eight hundred and twenty in the second quarter. So the cats have kicked a few in this quarter to sort of claw their way back. No Pun intended, but yeah, I was. Actually it's just keeps his will kicked one there. So score it update for absolutely no one because everyone's obviously knows the final score by now. So we are actually going to touch on a little segment that I have come up with. I figured it's probably the best week to do this, given no one else really has this obsession with the offseason as much as I do. It's one of my little one of my little things I I just love. So I am going to skip the top eight prediction because it just seems to be the same teams and a different order every single weeks. I'm just going to take a week off that bit. We'll get back to that when we have a the other guests on the podcast. But what I'm going to do who? I'm just going to spend maybe one or two minutes about on each team, just talking about maybe what they need in terms of where their list is at and what they aiming to achieve over the coming years, and I might just sort of throwing a few names here and now. Who they could targets. Some of them have been raised as off field targets. Some of them just haven't even been mentioned before. So, you know, for those listening, don't go and if I say one name that none's talked about, don't go and send it to you, you know, your known journalist, and tell them to publish a story and tell them that I said this is going to happen, because I'm just going to throw these names out there for the sake of variety. So we're going to start off with we just going to go in alphabetic order. I'm going to start off with the Adelaide crows. So, as we know, going into this season the crows, we knew they were going to be sort of bottom of the table and they have surprised. They are not bottom. For, believe it or not, five fourteen rants in the season, then all bottom, for they are actually sitting in twelve, above my saints, who were, you know, tends to be top four. So that's that's very nice. They are also bub the likes of Cultson and Collingwood, who would have surprised. Few are so who would have surprised many in the offseason. So they have exceeded expectations. I lost I saw a few comments in the preseason. There is a draft de called Jason Horne who is a South Australian blondhead midfield, goal kicking midfield who is tuded to be top five. Actually Tad to be top to at some point. So Human Day coss have been talked about a lot for that number one position. Had Lots of sort of Adelaide fans talking about we need to take this season and just so we can get horn across. You can imagine what his nickname is. So yeah, they've actually exceed expectations. May mean they don't get that sort of top three or four picks. At the moment I think they're actually sitting at picks seven. So really for the Adelaid crows the moments just a back getting young talent in. It's as simple as that. So preferably see Ath Australian base. So no one really wants to leave, but it they can really just cover all ends of the park with this one. So you know they've got obviously the emergence of drawdan butts down back. They've tried and tested Nick Marie. At times you don't really know where he's at. Daniel Tye is obviously nearing the end of his career. They moved on Kyl hard again in the offseason, so a tall defender would be nice. One name that is South Australian and has popped up in recent ears as Brenning Cox, bit of a swing man, so we don't really know where his best foot is at yet. But the end of the day, Adelaid Dude. Also probably need some support up forward for Phil Thorpe, and we don't really know where fault he's at. or Elliott Himmelberg. So cocks bring him in. You can try and test them at both ends of the ground. Hopefully nails one should do because he is an immense talent. So that's just one name off throw out there. Jake Riccardi as well. I'm probably going to talk about him a few times this podcast, or at least this segment. Sorry, giving is all sor what he could do last season and he's absolutely killing it in the seconds. Just still can't get a game. So he's one that I would keep an arm this offseason because it's clear that he's got the capability kick bags as a forward. He has also been try and tested as a sort of a halfback, so a bit of a versatile swing men there as well. So He's another one that I'm going to throw out there. Dylan Stevens as well, is the see Auth Australian drafted couple of years ago. Just can't quite break into that Swan's lineup. A few of the young beard fields of kind of overtaken him, the likes of Chad Warner being was in that same draft, errol Gordon and stuff as well. So Stevens, don't know how he's going to quite fit into that swan's lap and left unless he obviously lists lifts his form. Obviously being see...

...out Australian, you know, could be a perfect play for the crows. The target. Okay, so onto the lions. They are in the premiership window, as we can obviously tell. I've picked them to come at the top of the table last week after, you know, talking about whether they'll even make finals earlier in the season. But they are in the premiership window and I think it is going to obviously be for a few years. They're elite players, you know, the likes of mccluggage and Jared Barry, Harris Andrews, you know, Lucky Earl and jared lines on even old as well. So they're going to be in there for a while. So it's just really about attracting elite talent, whether it's, you know, mid to late twenties. Could even get to experience in there as well, similar to what they did with Luke Hodge. So yeah, it's just going after a premiership. They may need, like, I'm going to throw this name in there again, Brendon Cocks. So they obviously have the likes of Harris Andrews Down Back. They've got Darcy Garnho's on the sidelines of the moment. They've got Markus Adams, WHO's in there? We don't really you know. I think he's having a pretty okay season for them, bit of a Lucky Henderson type season where you know you just completely come out of nowhere as a bit of a mature age body. But we don't really know where he's at. That forward line as well, mcstay hit would have Dada has working nicely. So don't really need any for targets for now. I just hope that they can take the game to another level. Midfield's fine. So it's really just about solid find that backline. I think. So Brend and cocks another one if you want to try and test him down there. That's all I say really. Maybe just the likes of Viking a price, someone like a Harrison petty who's sort of up up and coming young but obviously he's proved himself to be a pretty good lockdown defender. Just someone like that. Don't hold me to that. Here's a South Australian boy, so maybe he's another on the crows, as we mentioned before, Kuld target. But yeah, it's just really about attracting players were about to enter their prime or in their prime now the lines or go for experience. So you know, they can still roll with drafting the couple of kids every draft, but I think, yeah, the the last sort of seven or eight years they've gone to heavy at the draft of lines and they have had obviously a fair few hits, but they have also have a had a few missus. But I think their hits they've had enough to build their list, as we've seen, I think, in the year with Harris Andrews. Looked the other day. They are they had about six or seven blokes they took in that draft and I think I'm Andrews is the only one left. So just goes to show you can just pick up blows and maybe all Australian plays in the s. So maybe that's what they should roll with the lines. Maybe pick up a few mature ages here and there. They can have an immediate impact my help with their premiership windows. So that's the lines done. Now Culton is a big one. So as we've seen over the last sort of a few years, they have had a lot of missrs. They've obviously seen now when we seeing Whi was obviously going to be a future captain. But at the end of the day they just need to help, probably a little bit all over the park. So I think the midfield, we saw on the weekend they one of the Center bouncers, Walsh, was in there by himself, just occupied by DEBOR crips. was absolutely gassed and their third midfield was Patty Dere. No further explanation needed. So I think they do need a bit of help in that midfield. Obviously Matt Kennedy. Somehow he isn't getting a run in there really and you can't keep throwing patty down on them in THY center bounces. So when they should probably go after his Adam Chera. He's probably going to be the biggest talked about name released the years so far this offseason. Obviously a free oh boy, but he was drafted out of Vic Metro and, as we've seen in previous years, Vic Metro is the type of ore, the type of players to fill a bit more at home in Victoria. Know, they usually urban, you know, brought up an urban areas. Sorry. So they are sort of city boys. You know all the you know around the likes. You know, they are sort of very brought up in these areas around the city. So it's yeah, it was all. It was always going to be one of those names that are talked about to Willie come home after a few years of us you sign an extension. But it is going to be a very interesting case with Adam Cherry. He's obviously very talented midfielder, very smooth mover. Picked up in as pick five in that national draft and he was one that I really wanted at saints at pick seven or eight. Unfortunately he didn't slip through, but he's an immense talent. He is one that could help them out there. Obviously roughly same age bracket is Sam Walsh in a few of the others down there. So would be huge for them or another one they could go after his Josh Kelly obviously going to be another huge name that's going to be talked about this offseason and he has been in previous years. He is obviously a huge talent worthy of big numbers on a contract. Does have those injury issues, but when he plays in the midfield he's one of the best in the competition. We all know that. So when he doesn't have Leon Karen as coach, may well be a brown new king tender. So I'm going to throw out a third midfielder in here as well, one that has been raised in the past few weeks. You've got Tom Mitchell. Hasn't mean linked to Carlton, and we are talking about our Carlt and are going to have these money issues. But at the end of...

...the day, you know you can't have like a mcgunn sitting on seven hundred K and just, you know, doing what he's doing. So whether you ship off someone to get in someone in that midfield that really needs help, I'm sure that's that issues going to be raised, but someone like a Tom Mitchell to get in there maybe take the load off Patrick crips. Obviously we need all know about his body, but someone like a Mitchell again in there and give the hands out to walshing crips who can obviously get it forward. That would be huge for them. And also maybe some help up forward as well, especially in the smaller with the smaller guys. Sorry. So maybe a few blokes like a lucky shot to Colia from freemantle. They've got a few of those type of mid too small forwards, I think cold just need a bit of energy, obviously down forward, because they are going to be saying goodbye to Eddie Bets, as is the whole afl world. It's going to be a sad day when that happens. But they are going to their replacement. They've seen the emerge of Matthew always. I don't know if that's how you pronounce it, but we're going to roll with it. So we've seen the emerges of Matto. He's this year. He's obviously been a nice target for them, but someone with a bit more zip, maybe putting a bit more pressure on those defenders would be very handy for them right. So onto collingwoods. Look, it's just about draft. He's really I think, with this list that they've got. They've obviously got a lot of experienced guys down there, likes of still side bottom and pendabreing all them, but unfortunately they're not going to be taken into the next premiership unless something dramatic happens next year. So it's just about their next list and which list is going to take them to that premiership. So they're obviously going to be getting Nick Day cost the end of this season. He's going to be huge for them. He'll be playing around one. He's just absolutely dominating it in in I think it's the oakly charges he's playing for. Could be wrong there, but they have had a few people mentioned that he's having a bigger season than rail, bigger SAS in the world like. And this is scary because every year he seemed to be having an up and cooming the midfielder that's having. It's the bigger impact than the previous one. So these players getting scary good. So it's going to be awesome to see how he's going to go, but it's just a matter of whether they can get a few more players other than just nick cocks. You obviously don't to throw all your eggs into one basket with your draftdees. We've unfortunately COLLINGWOOD's Miss Lists. Management in the past years hasn't been as a'm been great. We're going to leave it at that. So they they had did have to ship off, obviously true, law and Stephenson. I think Phillips left for more so just getting a bit more of a role friendly, just a bit more of a friendly role. Really. I did have to ship off those two and by the sounds of it it's not over yet and they've still managed to only end up with pick sort of thirty and forty and fifty miss draft. So how they done that, not quite sure. It is quite astounding. But as we've said before, you can pick up the likes about Harris Andrews in the big s. So the end of the day only stop out getting a few kids in a few mature age as well. We've seen Bowie McCreary be drafted and he's actually, you know, up there in the tackles and inside forward fifty this year. So he's obviously been huge from the probyn playing a massive part in that lineup in the years to come. But yeah, it's yeah, it's whether they can maybe trade up, get a couple of earlier picks and see what they can do. Yeah, they've obviously got a talented list of the moment, but we've seen that it's just it's just not going to take to the next premisure, unfortunately. So it's a matter of hoping that the likes of you know, this sort of middle age players, like you know, a brand and may night for example, and just stay and get hopefully provide a nice benchmark for the youngsters that are going to col be coming in. So onto essence and they are pretty well set off around the ground. So in the midfield they have bolsted, yeah, bolstered that with Joi Orwell in the offseason. Obviously injured for most of this year, but he is an absolute talent and he'll be playing in that midfield in the years to come. And the just the emergence of Darcy Parrish Really, I'm has been absolutely awesome for them. Obviously solidified himself is just a brownlow contender this year so easily and there in the years to come. Zack Merritt's just resigned, which is huge news for the bombers. Likes Dandy mcgraith going through there. We've just seen what Jake Sprit strake, stringer can do, and Kyl Lankford, well, I mean he's been the whipping boy of vessel in the past few years and he's been my whipping boy for about a week now. So we've seen what he could do in the last few weeks before, coincidentally, up brought him into my super coach team. So they've got and you know, just the likes of throwing Demon Smith and stuff in there. They're very fine in that midfield. Indeed, down back they've got the likes of Ridley, who obviously had a stellar year last year, just getting more games into the Zich Thatcher. You know, they're pretty well off down there. Maybe becauld could use one or two more, given the likes, you know, Hurley's obviously going into a time and soon, and the likes of, you know, gleason and Ambrose, you know, the sort of guys are they once had a hope for, aren't really getting games now and their careers looking more and more certain. But a also a forward target is probably what they need as well. So the...

...like of Cooker is going to be nearing the end of his career. They've obviously got Harrison Jones down there, who had a stell a game on the weekend against the hawks. Got The riding sty nomination, and well deserved. But maybe a bit of experience down there. So I'll just going to throw this name in there again. Obviously just contradicts what I said about experience, but Jake Riccardi is one that could bolster that forward line. So Human Harrison Jones could provide a very nice forward pignship in the years to come. They've also obviously got paid a right in there, but what happens with him don't really know. Could provide a nice little trio attack with a right a Riccardi and Jones right, obviously switching with drape when needed, and then the lights of stringer and Kate Lankford on the wing. Just keeping around the ball, please, for the sake of my super coach Teamer, you know, has stringer down there as another target. Hopefully get him to attract a bit of a lesser experience defender. Haven't play a few more of these breaker games? They would be elite for the bombers. But yeah, the moment, as far as it goes in the midfields pretty much set and that's a very good place to start when doing your rebuild. So onto freemantle, just a bit of way. Talent is there. Is need there really. So the moment their midfield is obviously good. They getting games into the likes of SRONG. I think he's attended the most center bounces for them this season. We just huge for playing his third year, but maybe just one more that can roll through their take a bit of bit of pressure off his shoulders to he can maybe go down forward when he needs to. Maybe the likes of a Jack Ross from Richmond or as we've talked about or not. Haven't talked about, but the AFL world has Quinton Knichael, who just can't get a game for just long somehow. Any other team he would be but someone like him, who's obviously a Wa boy, that can roll through that midfield and just a bit of a bigger body and with a bit of pace as well. He'd be awesome for them in there. Would love to see him getting some games just anywhere really, because there's no better player on there's few better players I actould like to watch when they're fit and firing. The Quinn Knichael. He's obviously not. I had many opportunities at it, but when he has blod he's set the world on fire. And then a Jordan Clark as well coming off halfback would be very handy for them. Obviously another wage along boy that can't get a game for the cats and maybe they can swing a bit of a package deal there free and see what they can do there. But it's a bit of Wa talent to continue this nice rebuild. I know a few people sort of expected free to be within finals contention this year. I wasn't as optimistic. I still thought there were a few years off and looks like that estimation is sort of, you know, come to fruition. Doesn't look like they'll be making it this year. They have provided a nice push. They are and eleven, I think there were ten. Think there were ten maybe a week or two ago. But yeah, just a bit of Wa talent can you to continue this nice rebuild. And then Joe long as well. Like they arguably got the best list on paper in the competition toolong and they just really need to win a previous shit with it. I think this year is really it's going to be their best chance every year from here on in there they're likely who's just going to go down and down as these players get older and older. It's going to hit them hard along a few years. They really need to sort of get some reward for what they've done. So maybe just yeah, I mean at the moment, along all obviously all the in be focusing on this year's sort of the next ten to twelve weeks and September and what they can do. But maybe the offseason just get a few more kids in, just so this sort of blow that's going to happen a few years isn't as dramatic as it's going to seem. As Ruckman as well, is obviously a big issue for them. Not a big issue, but you know, they never really seem to have a set one shut. Dicey was one that was the cuts are obviously going to go after, but he's just resigned and he was today. He's obviously huge player for three Oh so very glazy. You sticking there. But yeah, just just a bit of rock support for the cat is really what's needed. Apart from that, not too much else. It's just about winning a premiership with the cunt list that they've got and then Gold Coast. Well, it's come to the point where they've got enough talent. They've actually sort of proven that point today by saying that their first picks going to be on the table to get some experience into their team, preferably a forward. So they've sort of just answered the gold coat seeing the this Seg, the gold co section of this segments with that one. So whether they need another extra tool defender to help out seam Collins and whoever hells down there, I don't. Think look, coaches, isn't really a lockdown. They've got likeights of Cris burgs and all that. But yeah, just just someone to help out down there. You know they've only got a few games into the likes of Kle Graham and you know, all these type of pots come thing all the top of my head. But yeah, it's bit of Tall. It's all timbers really needed the Gold Coast Suns. Bit of support for being king too is needed. So just someone the likes of calm Callum Coleman Jones. So would be huge for them up forward to give Benny King a bit of assistance but also to swing into the ruck to help out jared wits. Imagine that jade wit's a two hundred and eight centimeter forward target. Would love to see what would happen there. But...

...yeah, they've they are fine for talent. Now it's they don't really they can't really keep on going to the draft the suns, because they are they're just going to keep on getting kids in that are going to develop and you know they're gonna have great careers down the road. But you know, some leave, some stay. The ones that stay some develop, some don't, and the ones that develop, well, it it's it's hard to get your career to exactly where it needs to be to be an elite player if you don't have experience around you, because you know, it's hard to get leadership because you can only get so much leadership from your coach and coaches at the end of the day. On me as just a CRICKETER, I've found that the most sort of coaching and mentoring I get is actually when I'm playing the game rather than, you know, sitting down being told what to do. So at the end of the day I think, yeah, they just need to bringing some experience from other clubs, whether that's the likes of, you know, Mitch Wallace, who just can't get a game the dogs because obvious selling their vice captain would be huge to them, or, as Sept Ross from the saints, bit of help in that midfield as well, not that they probably need it, but more so for that experience just sort of meant helping mentoring the likes of Maddie Rail and I. We're ends in and all that obviously took. Biller was born and bread and Gold Coast. Now not born, sorry, but you know, drafted and obviously progress his career Gold Coast. So he's never really had any sort of strong mentors, part from probably Garry ublot that he's played with. So just the like to save Ross could come in and teach him a few things about what to do, probably not how to keep because I don't know, don't know how say Ross continues to at least be highlighted as a very, very good player, given how horrenders his ball us he's by foot. But yeah, just a bit of experience it if for Gold Coast. Really they can't keep resorting to the drive because it's it's just not really getting them anywhere. I know it takes time for these players to develop and these players are still developing, but they now have enough. They have their foundation of youngsters to take into that next level. They need a bit of experience and then hopefully going to start winning these games, especially, you know, outside of metrocon where they do tend to struggle. But enough on them. So there on to g us, it's more just to beout trying to keep their players. They've got a very strong list on paper the giants and a few of their kids that they are blooding this year or not blagbage, getting more games into it coming time, coming on really well, specifically in the defense, the likes of Connor Ride and Jack Buckley, locky ASHIAAC coming. These guys are all becoming regulars the team now it's becoming really promising for them. They obviously no one's quest of trade yet good signs for the giant so far this season. But yeah, it's just about keeping their players. Keep Josh Kelly. It's gonna be huge for them and just maybe it's another extra toll defender, obviously, with Field Davis near the end of his career. Seeing Taylor's obviously been a huge underrated player for them in his career so far, but has been injured for a lot of this year has exposed them a little bit. Had they have had to use, obviously the kids that they're bringing up, you know, the Jack Buckleys and the items, but just some of a bit more experience, maybe someone like a Zaying Cordy, I know obviously, you know, just maybe just price some one away from a team's best twenty two, like a Zane. So just to give a bit more experience down there. Obviously when Nick when Phil Davis leaves, and they're just getting a few more games into the likes of Iden and but Jack Buckley and whatnot. So that would be huge for the giants. But yeah, it's just more about keeping these plays and just solidifying this team, because I don't want to ride off the giants. I'm not going to refuse to. With the current list that they've got. It's ridiculous how much talent they've got on that list and the fact that they're sitting in well not they were seeing a lot lower than that earlier in the year and you know everyone was saying Leon Cameron's gone, but they have risen right back up and just proving everyone that they still have the talent and they are still going to be a top eight chance next year. In fact, I've probably got them in my predictions for next year. Donna, who the Hell I would take here? But probably no one at this point. But YEA, at the moment, look j justus. They've got all the talent in the world. I've got abundance of top ten, top twenty draft picks. So and they've just gotten a few more in and the likes of Tanner, Bruin and them. So at the end of the day, definitely not rying them off. It's just about keeping their players and just growing a bit more cultry. Yeah, so, in a sense, gdo versus a little bit irrelevant in this section about what they need in the offseason. Yeah, all they need is just a bit of cohesion, just to you know, go away and get some team building exercises done, just you know, build a bit of life, buit a heart, just to hopefully keep the list intact. So on to Hawthorne. If you Allis to Clarkson, turn this off because I'm going to talk about what I'm going to mention. One whether you don't want to hear kids and just like that the triple. Yeah, the Police Department just enter my house to come and arrest me. But yeah, so it's just about getting the kids in really to go off just because they need more. You know, they can't obviously go on to their next premiership list with the experienced guys that they've got, obviously likes of Brust and all their becomes with twilight their careers, they're not going to be in their...

...next so in their next premiership window, slice of you know, chat wing guys and all this in that be confused by these sort of trade ins. They obviously we're going on a bit of a downward spell since that sort of dynasty. And Yeah, to get these guys in, you know, I'm here as well, who're all searching for success. Obviously hasn't gone that way and because of that I don't hate the idea of training out of Tom Mitchell for a top rapt pick. So maybe something like that for the Hawks. Maybe just getting a few kids in that haven't really gotten a game at other clubs. But we're pretty highly's hawded his junior's few port udelaide boys, Dylan Williams, who actually is making his debut this week for Port Udelaide, so good luck to him. But it was very highly touted as a junior. was ended up being drafted. I think dirties and I'm not mistaken. But you know, coming to his draft, hear was actually talked about the top ten. So someone like him can maybe bring out the best of his ability. Also, a Sam Hayes was, you know, it was in fan of drafts, in the top ten, very strongly linked to Collingwood in his draft here ends up going in the S. given that rough did you know everyone sort of realize that you don't really need to pick a rock met as a top five, top six pick. So, you know, up sliding all the way to pick, you know, picking the S and continues to be the unlucky. His speed of the AFL. He's always in the in the mix section of port. I laid. He's always a swear half the weeks. Is Always predicted to come into lineup. Never even hear about him at twenty on a Thursday night when the teams are released. But things cross he gets his chance soon. But you know, maybe it's at another club like a Hawthorne where they just need to bring him kids through the draft, but also from other clubs that they maybe haven't had a chance to get to reach their full potential yet or just even get an opportunity. So that would be very solid for them. Please don't report this episode just for, you know, saying the word kids, because that is what Hawthorne Need. And Yeah, sorry, I was closed. You can tune back in now. And so on to Melbourne. What they probably need is just look. I mean they've been this surprise packet of the competition this year. They're pretty well set in in terms of midfield. Obviously the emerged of James Yes so Jimmy Jordan, has been huge for them. So he's really just just removed that part of what Melbourne might have needed this for this offseason. Obviously don't need any more midfielders. Their defense is obviously being proven to be one of the hardest to crack, especially with the likes of May and leave down there. Harrison petty also coming on very nicely, who you know, definitely didn't float him as a Trade Tiger Adelaide in Brisbane earlier. But yeah, just so maybe it's a little partnership with Cozzi pick it up forward. Is what they could do with. Just he's obviously a one man Mosscare of fleet down there. Charlie SPARGO's coming on nicely but tends to play bit more up the ground. If I'm not mistaken so well, I'm imagine the likes of Cozzi picking and Isaac Rankin in the same forward line. That would just I would be so close to becoming a Melbourne support, not that I ever will ditch my own team, but would be so close to just watching every single week if you had it a fall line of cozy pick in an eyes act rank and in the tall forward line. It's a bit of it's a it's a bit of a weird one with Ben Brown and Sam Waitoman. Neither of them are in their best twenty two. Both of them are fit. They are top the ladder Melbourne. So I magine if you said that at the start of the year. But they're obviously coming on very nice with Bailey fritch obviously probably having a career best year, Tom McDonald down there's obviously being very serviceable for them and then the likes of, you know, when Jackson and gone both interchange down there, obviously give them the goal to every game, which is very handy for them. But yeah, it's a bit of an interesting one where the careers of Sam Wiedeman and Ben Brown are heading, especially with Penn Brown, who just moved to the days this year, is fit but conquered a game. So maybe just a bit of a bit of a partnership down there with Cosi pick at as another electrifying small forward. Yeah, I know Isaac's obviously a South Australian boy and his name is probably going to come up in the years to come. Get for that exact reason. But just imagine a Ford Line of Cofzi pick and Nis at rank and that would be amense. But obviously, onto north Melbourne once again, just getting a bunch of kids in draftees, just rebuilding this team, because whilst they aren't the you know, many tellt them to be the worst team the competition, the competitions ever seen. This season they are currently sitting on six points with a percentage of so obviously it's not really a season that kangaroo fans are going to want to remember. But it hasn't obviously been disastrous. They've had a few surprises, the likes of Nick Lackey's just continuing to come on as a so soul toll for it, but he probably does need a bit of support down there. So maybe I'm in the mention this name again Jake Riccardi is one that they're probably going to go after. I think I have heard this one actually floating around the realms of twitter, but he is definitely one that could fit in well to for a nice partnership in the US to come and Nick Larkin Jack Riccardi. That flows nicely at the time. Could definitely see that happening. They'll obviously have been linked to Jack billings as well. He's very, very close friend of Luke McDonald. So whether that happens or not, I...

...don't know it in terms of saying killed a point of view depends what pickle would get us. But with the all the kids coming in, a Jack billings would be nice to sort of give a bit of mentorship. Obviously he's not a veteran, but someone's been there in the competition now for about eight years. was obviously a pick three, so knows how it all goes. As a top draft e in the AFL would be very handy for them just continue to continue their rebuild once again, someone like a seam Hay's from Port Adelaide would be handy, given not sure where their rucks rat in the current point time. Obviously Goldie is going to be entering the twilight career. They just drafted Jacob Edwards our the midseason. Draft another local boy. Maybe a partnership of Human Sam Hays in the future, you never know. So just a few kids there to bring in North Melbourne. It's really that simple. So yeah, on Support Adelaide. Look, they've got a very good team the moment. They've got a very nice balance of youngsters and veterans in there. So just maybe just to give a bit of support in the midfield, given the likes of, you know, boken wines are going to be entering, more so boake. You know either the man's you know he's he's not unfamiliar man in the squad of s of the world now. So just a bit of support in that midfield. Maybe. Obviously the likes of will and drew is coming on very nicely, but you know, maybe it's another hard body midfield, maybe not so much like an only wines. Maybe be someone that can use the ball nicely off the boot. I know only one's got about hundred fifty fantasy but only a hundred super coach on the weekends or very tempt runted performance from him. Someone that can use it nicely. There's also a hard body in there, you know, someone like you know likes of Jack Graham, Jack Ross from the Tigers. Maybe not not, not saying that elite kicks, but just, you know, a bit of pace in there, just a bit of toughness, just so that when boat does depart they do have players to just rotate straight into their they obviously do the likes and you know, butters and all these guys, but you know, obviously not tough, tough bodies. They do have a few of them. You know, the likes of rock cliff. You just can't get a game seem Pale. Pepper rocket does have just about in you every injury under the sun the moment. But you know, pepper don't really know where he's at his career at the moment. That, yeah, just something to rotate through there when those guys get a bit tired. You know both usually misses a few games now. Still Bit of Sawn. It's just a resting every now and then. But I think one of the main told two of the main tigers day and be going after the next few years. A lococious and rankin obviously see Australian boys. I think they went on record to say that we're going to be coming for them in a few years. When they got drafted, which is a very smart were very interesting play by them. Whether even if they could just lend one, they'd be awesome for them just to have all the coaches running off halfback or a ranking in that forward line would actually obviously be huge. Obviously port of rotated with a few of their small forwards this year and previous year's vantage can only go on the park once in a blue moon and you know, Boyd Horse Cock would cock and obviously knew the competition. So he's coming on arrived. But you know, just you know, obviously can't thet a spot really so just like to those guys, Robbie Gray's obviously entering the end of his career as well. Those two a be handy. They're probably got those two names of the top of their white boards in their recruiting department. So no real news breaking stories there, but to that they're definitely going to be targeting. It'd be very interesting to see if they could land one, maybe even both. Richmond, I talked about this today. Actually I drove all the way back home from warnable today with my girlfriend who's a richmond support us. So had a had a long time to talk about various topics. One of them was Richmond and I was asking you what she reckons I should talk about in this segment. For them, we came to the conclusion that's with their list of the moment. They've obviously had their dynasty. They've, you know, obviously been one of the best sides the competitions ever seen the last sort of five seasons. So whether they don't win another premier sure to do the end of the day. Their list has been a success. So last few years it's been huge, you know, every lots of those players have won three premierships now, so it's really been just period of time to remember for the Tigers fans. So whether they're obviously going to be pushing for again this year, probably next year as well in Ray Walt's probably last year. So it's just the likes of you know that this year has been very tough and they've always had a lot of injuries. That are a pleased that midfield part from that, though. You know, both ends of the ground it been pretty well off. So maybe just a one or two more midfielders to come into that team. Just you don't have the likes of relying on Kalie, likes of Collie Orkins to have, you know, fifteen plus center bounces, you know, in like his first season, not that I would at the moment anyway. He's disposal uses and fantastic. But they do obviously have the likes of these blokes in the wings, you know, the Jack Rosses and Jack Grand the Jack Rame is obviously very handy playing in their best twenty two, but just the likes of, you know, here they've got a few kids that they've tried and tested, you know, like will Martin. All that. They're you know, they've haven't come on as well as maybe they could have at another club. So maybe just...

...a bit more of a tried and know known to perform well at a full ability type of midfielder. Of some of that won't probably cost him too much. Maybe like a sempl pepper for example, to come in provide a bit of ferocity and there he's very much the type of play that would probably suit Richmond just more sort of get the ball down. It's that forward line, you know, use to pace, use your strength. It's not so much about skill and pinpoint hitting targets. Get the ball for those exactly how rich and play. So maybe someone like him would be absolutely perfect for them. But also try and get kids in, because when these players into the twiter of their careers they are going to be a bit worse off. Just so they are going to be the only going to be hit pretty hard because, you know, all these players are roughly same age bracket. So when they all, you know, like the Cotchins and the real worlds and all these guys and a few is, sort of hit the end of their careers, they are going to be left for a few holes in the list. So maybe just, you know, bringing someone like a seampower pepper, just just so this sort of midfield disaster doesn't happen again, or if it does, they've got a few more cogs in the world they can use. But yeah, just apart from that, suspectetting kids and really to stand the flow of the disaster. Not Disaster, sorry, just the blow. There's going to probably a care in the next four years. But apart from that, yeah, obviously you're smooth. Selling is a richmond supporter. I'm very envious of you guys, but one play or a couple of players that have been linked to Richmond actually is adn't chair and Tom Mitchell. Not sure if either them really fit demographics there. Obviously chairer is has been talked about recently, but he'll be entering his prime in a couple of years. But that's probably just in timee. When Richmond might be entering their stint in the bottom ten for I don't know how long it will be, whether they even do or not. Odds are they will point need a few years to sort of do a little tiny, mini, mini rebuild. But yeah, whether you bring in an UN chair or notts who sure will obviously be a very good player for them if you did, but you know, wouldn't come in and like it wouldn't be like a talking point every week. Well, it wouldn't be in really end of its alling points for Richmond, given likes every I've got the dusts of the world and they've got all these star players. I have a feeling chairer not sure he'd be attending every center bands might just be another sort of playoff halfback. Maybe, you know, a batchet wholly cause of quit to the end of the season. Could sort of playoff half back for a bit but yeah, I've I just have a feeling chair and might be better off going to a team like Carlton where he really can play his role, move into that full time midfield role and solidify himself as one of the smooth movers of the competition in those midfielders and as a midfielder. Sorry. And then Tom Mitchell not sure fits the way Richmond plays a high possession midfielder. So high possession, low meds game midfielder is that's obviously exactly him. Richmond do tend to lose the disposal counts most weeks, just or at least their players don't mass high numbers given the fact that it's all just get the ball forward use their intense ferocity and pressure to do that. So not sure how Tom Mitch would fit in with that. I'm not sure if that either those trade targets would be suitable for Richmond and their demographics, but will be a very interesting to see who they go after. And then on to my saying kilder lineup. I obviously blabber on about every week, so I'll definitely try and keep this section short. I think the number one thing that might look up. I'm only going to try and I'll talked about our list a few weeks ago to disaster. I don't think this list, if it continues going way it does and our players don't develop into these AA plus grade players, which is what we were kind of relying one, I don't think it's going to get us to another premiership. I think it's worse than we all think. I think it's going to be another sort of long drawn out, confused rebuild, given the fact that we've got all these guys that we drafted. You know, some of them is a top ten picks, but then it's not delivering. They're not going to that extra level. So number one thing, I think we need it. Our biggest weapons, sorry saying Kilda, is ability to use Ron Marshall and patty rider as a sort of rock forward. Combo would probably they probably aren't. This is not a coupercretch moment that the probably are the best rock for Combo when fit in the competition and given riders obviously very old through this all. Next you will be his last, just someone to replace him. So Marshal is a in in that sort of rock forward. COMBOT Marshall is the guy to play sort of sixty percent forward, forty percent right, whereas rider as the obviously he'll play the bit more of the Ruck. So just a bit of a Ruckman that can swing forward as probably what we need. That's why I really liked the he hadn't been even talked about with set killed. The like of maybe a Shawan Darcy would have been perfect, but obviously he's just resigned. One that I would love to bring in as a Matthew Flynn. We've obviously seen how could he can be in the ruck at gs when monthly wasn't playing at the start of a year, especially against us. You know, had a hundred and forty super coach game in his debut. I think was absolutely phenomenal. But since Munthard's come in he's been a bit more rough and forward and he's been a very good tiger for them up forward. He's got some very good hands on him and can't keep the footage, sometimes sideways, but he would be one that...

I would be targeting. If I was saying it's because he's obviously he's probably going to be there. He's there aiming to be the number one right for the next few years. Given months. Obviously, you know we don't know how long he's got left, but kevity's already retired once, but we'll see what happens there. But yeah, if II the chance says, I'd be trying to go after Matthew Flynt just so that we can continue to have this rock forward combination because, look, it's the only weapon we've really got at the moment, so may as well try and replace with what we can when one of them goes down, and then just the likes of maybe a look. I raise this question to much clear on trade radio. I think last season about we need like a smooth moving midfielder. We've got likes of Zack Jones and Jack Steel and break. Well, you just got we hadn't got bread crash that point, but we were going to, but said Ross and all this guy's that just can't keep footy. So we did a smooth mover in there. Some with a bit of composure. I raise a question of Josh Kelly, who had been linked to for years and years and years. He said no, it's probably going to come from a guy like a haunts of clock. I tend to agree, but like we've seen, we haven't really seen these guys sort of come on. So I'm just going to throw this out there again. Josh Kelly, obviously we don't. The salary cap is getting to the point where it is stiged to fill up a bit. Doesn't help. You've got Dan Hannebury, who's on a lot of money. Is Big Bucks earned at the start of his contract, which I don't think many people understand. He's not on as much now, but he's still on a fair bit of coin. So to free up someone like him at the end of the season, maybe like a said Ross as well, who just looked to me honest, I don't think he's not cold be our best. He's not going to be our premiership twenty two, if we ever flipping win one. Maybe moving on a few of these boys is foreple bit of cash. Someone's little bit younger, bit more of a different midfield to what we've got at the moment. Someone like a Josh Kelly playing fulltime mid would be perfect. But yeah, just so on like a Matt Flinn. Give a bit of support to Max of King Down there. Look the back line. I don't even know what's going on there. Like Google, howd's come on very nice, nicely put. Apart from that, don't really. I was going on at different every week. Calm Wilkie, sorry as another one. That's been very solid for us. But you know, Kuffield was very good last season. Looks just lost this year. Been Long. I can't don't know how he even plays to fit. Don't even even know how he sets foot on the Park Ben Long, let alone played defense, probably the most important part of the ground. But yeah, the end of the day I'd love to see us go off the map. Flynn. That'd be awesome to just to get just to continue this two prongs rock forward attack. It's obviously our biggest attack, the biggest sort of weapon at the moment. would be huge if we could get him across and down to Saint Kilda, on to Sydney. Just about getting more kids in. They've obviously brought in a few guys have been really good. They've got a very good success rate. This one's with drafting players and turning them into Solo best twenty two players. So obviously brought an errow goulded and braiding Campbell this season. Chad warn has come on as well and just almost appears like those. Many would probably think he was drafted last season, which you know, it was the year before with Dylan Stevens, who is one that hasn't really come on, that we talked about. That could be floated as a potential Adelaide go home boy. But yeah, it's just more about getting the kids in there. Obviously going in there in a very nice spot. This one's there are in the top eight, top that there at six actually at the moment. So if they want to continue this sort of push to play finals, just a few more guys that giving me entering their primes they really want to make a strong push. But yeah, apart from that, about getting kids in who are very talented just to maybe just make a bit of a just sort of set the foundation for the Swan's the next sort of ten to fifteen years. So I'm that's probably a stretch, maybe sort of ten years to really be a very strong team of the competition, much like to long we've done the last on ten fifteen years. You know, they barely ever Miss Finals. So just, yeah, a few more kids like that and just some guys that are sort of entering their prime so they can push these finals. Maybe a bit of experience in there as well. They've obviously got likes of Josh Kennedy and Luke Parker in that midfield, but maybe either end of the ground. Buddy, don't know how long he's got left, but yeah, someone to support Logan McDonald. But as well as that defense, someone support Tom mccartin. So maybe just, you know, the likes of Jake Riccardi Support Logan McDonald. Obviously is an experience, but would be handy in the future. You know, at this point of time, seems like he's going to every single club check recarding, you know, maybe a branding cops as well as of some guy just mentioned countless times to this episode already as well. But yeah, swans can really do anything in this offseason and whatever they do it's going to benefit their list. So it's a nice position to be in for them. The Eagles now second last team we're going to be talking about. Their list is aging. We all know that, and it's just the better of how they approach it. They can go down the point of getting a lot of kids in rebuilding this list that doesn't obviously doesn't need a rebuild. Yet they're in the top eight, but all these guys are sort of nearing the slight ends of their careers, or at least the time of their career where they're going to start to maybe backtrack a little bit. So maybe whereas they want to get more kids in just to sort of make sure that they don't sort of hit a brick wall and a few years when these players starts to go into retirement, or whether they just bring in a few more guys to continue their premiership window while they do. I don't know. They cancel to go...

...either way about it. A bit like the Swan's what they could probably focus on is bringing across Wa boy hatch along that can't get a game. Is obviously a couple there in John Clark and Quincon knochle. They'd be very handy for them. Obviously we've seen what's happened with west coast midfield this year, Elliot Yo and Luke should we are pretty injury prone. So getting a quit knockle in would be quite handy for them and a John Clark of halfback would be handy to with Shannon hern obviously nearing the end of his career. He looks about a hundred but still obviously getting games. But yeah, the end of the day he's not going to be out there forever. So those two boys before we would be handy for the Eagles outfit at up to stadium, much like for Frio. So will be an interesting ballot at the end of the season, given both teams probably going to go after them hard. So we'll be interesting to see whether we know one'll end up somewhere and one will end up but the other place, or both go to one or neither. It's gonna be awesome to say what happens there. And finally, onto the dog so look, they've been one of the surprise packers this here. Not so much as Melbourne, but they obviously have been huge. SEC second on the ladder best midfield in the COMP. The emerge of Bruce up forward with in partnership with our Norton has been huge. When also in timming this coast down there is just a whole another level. Maybe can just strengthen this defense a little bit. Maybe a couple of lockdown defenders. Absolutely no idea who they would be. Maybe the likes of been Patton from the saints, who's obviously is is an underrated lockdown defender, but can't really use the footage. You know, someone like a braid and May. No, I'm not saying he's going to go there, but you know, you never know if he wants to seek a premiership perfect fit for the dogs, given pies don't only know where they're going to be going. If they do enterrepremiership window in his career, they'll probably be near to the end of here. So if he wants to seek one a bit earlier, never no, maybe the dogs. That could be a shock move. That happens bright and made answer the dogs. But yeah, part from that don't really need too much attention to their list of dogs, about making Georgejamara doesn't leave, because that would that would make a few draft. He's nervous as they get, as they get draft to the dogs, because no matter how good you I could beach on the chopping block after a year or two. But yeah, apart from that, the dogs don't really need anything. It's just very similar to the cats worrying about September and the years to come. It's very handed. Their list is quite young, so this sort of strong period form is going to be lasting a while. So the big question is whether they can just continue this in this isn't just a one season thing. Don't think it is. Obviously they are very, very talented and it was a bit silly having let likes of bonds of Pelli and Dune clear and all that running through the midfield and they were only sort of just on the fringes of the eight last couple of seasons. So it's very good to see them up the top of the table there. So maybe, yeah, just a sort of small lockdown the fender. When I say small, you know, just lockdown the fender would help them down down back. Not so much a key decision player them. But yeah, that concludes that segment. I've got on a lot longer than I thought it would. Were already over the hour marks of sorry. Hey, miss if you can be listening and editing this, we're going to move on to the super coach segment now. Now I've been talking the last few weeks. I've been planning for this inevitable round of fourteen by that just occurred. Everyone was staffed, everyone had a had, you know, between ten and sort of sixteen players. I, on the other hands, no, it was a bit of luck as well. I didn't have shy Bolton or change. Sure I didn't those two guys. Everyone sort of seemed to have or a color mills. I shot up in the ranks. I finished with one, nine, three, two, which could have been a lot better. Now my trades. I brought in jared lions. I brought in Caleb Daniel. We yeah, it's not a very common bringing. Sorry, trade in, but I needed to bring in two guys apart from lines. I need to bring two guys are about sort of seventy each. So I brought in this. was made this call right up until the the first bounce of the Geelong and boardogs game and I went with Caleb Daniel over Jack Scrim short. It was down to both of those two. Caleb obviously just has a bit of a high ceiling, so I went with him to finish off my defense and I had to swing let into the midfield and I went with Kyle Flipping Lankford has my other pick. Are just regretted it the second I did. It. Should have got nick kind or a toby green. That would have made my score, you know, a one ninety, sorry, one hundred and ninety or even two thousand. That would have been phenomenal in this by week. I for the round. It's very, very annoying because I came three hundred third for the round, but that is factoring in all of the play, all of the look, let's call them dickheads, that make around fourteen specific team from the start of the season. So basically, if you're not familiar that, what they do is, you know, just make they'll have their own separate team, but they obviously do every week in round one, but they also have a separate account that they focus on one specific week in the by as one of the by specific weeks. So they'll only have premium players from the teams that are playing. So they just dominate the round because...

...instead of struggling to fill eighteen spots and having a few rookies on field, they have eighteen premiums that are all playing. So the lie. I check the live ranks the end of the final game and I was about sixty seer. So it was all right. I would have been about actually, no, hang on, I think I was actually actually, I can't. I think so. I think I was about sixty or seventy and I would have been top ten if I'd gone for being hind or toby grant. I didn't. Obviously, in hindsight, worst movement done or second worst move I've done this season behind bringing Isaac Aney. The end of the day obviously went very well. Still came three hundred and third shot up in the ranks from what. I can't remember what, from B I shot two thousand three hundred, thirteen spots all up to one thousand, two hundred and forty nine. So it whilst everyone sort of went down, I shot up and I'm now within the top one thousand, two hundred and fifty. So I'm actually ten spots ahead of pill juice, obviously one of the boys on this party WHO's I've scored four points more than him, I think. So it's literally just one tackle. So to me a nice little battle between him and I'm not sure off ham is going to come close, given he's, I think, battling to stay in the top thirty K but yeah, it's a few sort of highlights from the weekend from my players. Jared Lions, I loop hold him as soon as I brought him in. Very happy with his one hundred forty one. I went with that. Didn't go born to Pelly, which order only cost me sort of two points. Lucky field, very nice to see him get one hundred and twenty we're all kind of waiting for it. The ones that brought him in. Daniel very nice to at triple figures. Jordan really as well. Was Back with a hundred eleven. was taking kickouts, which was very promising. Tom Stewart, somehow I only got a hundred and twenty. Tom Mitchell, another midfield of a probably many people brought in during the buyers given. He had the round twelve. Got A hundred forty, which was very handy. Couple of rookies under performed a little bit. Giant new can only got to twenty four. It's a bit unfortunate, but anyway, you know, it's as long as he just sort of stays in the bench, maybe gets games here and there. It's not really that to make cash now's just about playing as being there if we need him. You know Hollands will combine for a two hundred and thirty four. Happens about every week now, which is very handy for the guys that have them, including myself. So this week I wasn't doing trades up until now. When we jarve an MP I'm going to wait until tomorrow, but it sounds like he's going to be out for the rest of the season. So it's a very tricky spot because I've only got en K in the bank and there's just no one I want around the four hundred and seventy k mark is a Ford. So apart from like a Tim membry or a Jake Stringer, who are both due to I like k. But then it's a matter of probably sideways trading them again. Once that happens, that's just two trades there. So you may ast use the two tradeslop grading, so I might actually bring in your kind this week. So I have him so I don't regret it. So that's sorry. So I don't miss out another one thirty, which will just kill me, given I was about to bring him in. So I probably going to it going to be end up doing that. I'm at the moment projected two thousand, four hundred and eighty eight, which is probably where one's projected at this point of the season. Always ends up being that two hundred less than that. So don't get your hopes off if you're projected is like two thousand six hundred. But yeah, that's in me my super coach route. There's not too much now as we get into the home strettured the season. It's just war about making sure that your team's full premo and that if you have any outs, you have bench cover or you have trades. Just got to remember to say those trades four finals, because you'll be surprised at how many times you really wish you would save trades through the year. I'm not going to bother going through the team. I was going to go through the team matchups for this week, but we're already an hour and eight minutes in, so I'm just going to sort of list them off as I go through the my predictions for this week. So Brisbane Geelong have been right. Now it's halfway through the third quarter. Lines are up by six goals, so I actually tipped along. Very smart move for me. So we'll see what happens. There's very good to see the lines hopefully get another win here. Looks like this a bit in as well, a few spotifiers here and there. I think it's probably based around the market, kind of lucky neel situation, which is it's good for the game to see the best players go up against the best tigers. But Anyway, so we've got Richmond sank Kilda tomorrow night. God help us all at a saint kild supporters. Samson Bryan making his debut, which is very interesting given they haven't actually dropped Choller Common Jones. So I think it's going to be the Tigers. There's just going to be too good for them. They have hit or not not hit. So but this season has been as strong as previous seasons. But at the end of the day this is just the typical richmond you know, they drop a few games in the middle of the season, people sided doubt and then they fire in September. What better teams come up against the to get to regain bit of Forman Say Kildare a. We do have memory, marshal and Ross coming back, but the end of the day I think this is just just going to be a richmond walk in the park. It is at the g you know, predictted is to be six plus goals, probably generous to Saint Kilda. Then on too, Collingwood Freeman. On Saturday at one hundred and...

...forty five the pies regame. Brody Grundy. I'm going to be interesting game at Marvel, not the GE the dock is also get five backs or a few big guns back for this one very tight contest. Probably going to go the pies. Obviously hit a little bit of form last few weeks. They are missing, going to be missing to go ee. But the end of the day you know you're bringing grundy and Adams take out to galery. You know you're probably you know you're not really worse off, probably better off there. Obviously I'm missing Darston warn now as well, so when you factor him in, you know we'll see what happens, but you know it's probably the net result is probably even so it's to me very interesting game. Of that one. Free Aren't the strongest performance at Marvel. We obviously saw. They were obviously lost heavily to Carlton early in the season, which doesn't usually happen too much. But Young I want to be gone the pilots in this one. They found a little bit of form. Likes, if you know, probably Cox, who's just come in and does in Cameron. I reckon we're going to kick about four or five together and I reckon that's going to be enough to give them a winning margin. Then on to North Belbourne, Gold Coast. Blockbuster game. This one. One hundred and forty five on a Saturday this is a blunt stone. This is honestly a flip the coin. Really depends which gold coast shows up. If it's the talented one, with the talented list they've got there, going to be winning by the end of the day. I think North Melbourne to get to get the chocolates here. They're going to enter the double points in terms of, you know, playing points. I guess so, I. Double Figures in terms of playing points with because they're currently on six. Need for for to get to ten. So I think they're going to get the four here. Just the one inclusion for them with will phillips. Tom Powers going to miss his first game, unfortunately, but he's had a very good site to his career. I think North Belbohen they are going to get the aging to get the chocolates here and it'll be very interesting to see what happens. It's given me interesting to see which game everyone watches, whether they watch the close but I don't know what way to describe it. not infamous but, you know, funny game to watch in North Melbourne, Gold Coast, or whether they go for the more generic Collingwood Free I'm going to be gone for the north in that one. Though, in terms of tipping, will be very interesting to see what happens, though. Port Adelaide Sydney is the next one. Type of game that Cyndey cut upset, but I think Port Adelaide I will might just have them covered. They do gain aeril golden back, who, you know people probably doesn't seem like a massive inclusion, is actually leading for average goal assists in the competition in this first year, so that's huge for them. Dylan Williams making his debut for Port Adelaides. That's huge for him as well. But I think port they're going to use the Adelaide creates their advantage here. I think they're going to get the chocolates, but you never know what the Swan's they've had a very promising year sitting in six and it is the type of game where they do upset. Buddy Franklin could come out and just put on absolute shows. You never know. Will be very good match. I think Saturday night, bomber's Day's huge matchup this one, especially if jake stringer can continue how he played on the weekend. I'm sure he's going to be getting a big run of the guts there. But yes, it's another huge clash at the g I think it's going to be closed, as I think the days really had the CAPER. I look, every time I talk negatively about the days, I feel a bit silly given how well they're going, but last time I did it paid off because I said that the crows might upset them and they did. So I think this one's going to be close. I don't think the D's have the really blow out Essen and because I think Essen and there are very sort of high scoring, you know. So they're attacking team and not a conservative team. So I think Essen that are really going to test MELMOUR's defense here. So it's gonna be a very interesting matchup on Saturday night. Whether I see the game remains to be in question, given I'm going to be having a couple of drinks that night. Let's keep it at that. So we'll see what happens there. But I'm very intrigued to see what happens. Just did not make sense that. Don't pay attention to that, but it'd speaking for an air in ten minutes now, so the words are stiding to come out in other languages. We now we've on the Sunday gws Hawthorne, Democrat and Gebrass making his debut. The man that looks about twenty five to thirty is only eighteen going to be playing down back. Unfortunately, Jimany INP for everyone's super coach, is out, maybe a season ending injury. This one's initially one at the MCG, actually gws Hawthorne. It's tough one to tick now that it's at the G Gubus aren't obviously the best travelers, especially when it comes to Melbourne, but obviously Awthorne aren't one of the biggest teams of the competition. And Yeah, it's just so. It's whether generous. It is going to be a test for them whether they can travel or not. I know many people just going to think judo has talented list tip them, but Hawthorn on the type of team that will turn it up in a match where they know they can win. Clox is obviously the best coach and competition and he knows how to beat every single team and I think it's going to put those skills on display on the on Sunday at one undred and ten, because I think hawks are really going to give the giants and run for their money. But I do think the gihants are going to get the chocolates. I think it will be a close one down to the last quarter. Going to wait and see, though. It's going...

...to be huge that one. I think, think many people probably looking looking over it. I think I'll be a very close contest. However, entopre the match of the day, it'll be west coast and the dogs at optis. That one is going to be huge and that one is almost a flip of the corner as well. We know how strong the eagles are at Optus, but the dogs are obviously second or let out, one of the most informed teams in the competition. But the eagles are regaining Tim Kelly, Luke Showy, Brad Shepherd, McGovern huge, very stiff to the likes of Luke Foley, who's been omitted. You have a very strong game against Richmond a couple of weeks ago and look Edwards is on the extended bench. So those could be a couple of the most so the stiffest exclusions in a field history. But we'll wait and see what happens there. I'm actually going to be going to eagles here. I think they're going to use up to stadium to their advantage. I think that forward line as well. We talked a bit, I think I touched upon last week, that the experience of delongs attacking trio and Cameron Hawkins and rolling will be the reason that they defeat the dogs because they're attacking trio, of Bruce and what, sorry, attacking J I really of Bruce and Norton is more superior. Obviously came down to the last kick to prove that point, but the end of the day I think that will also happen here with West Coast and the bulldogs. Arguably West Coast had the best forward line in the competition. But I'm actually going to be going to eagles here. Yeah, regardless, I'm going to be captaining botton, super coach. I will see what happens. And then lastly, well, well, this is an intrigue, intriguing game, Carlton Adelaide, I'll tell you what. If the blues drop this, prepare for all hell to break loose. I love this is on Sunday and forty because all eyes will be on it and I would love the crow to come out and just just get a really hard fought win and just kill them with pressure and speed and everything like that, because be awesome to see Culton have another gut wrenching loss. I'm sorry for any car support as listening, but I I love to see you guys lose for Keeven St Kildo sort of on similar pass in terms of listen have been for the last sort of a few years. So we'll be very interesting to see what happens there. I will be going for I will be going for the crows, but we'll be tipping Carlton Probably. I think this will be the type of win that they're going to get all the conference and really saying it's fine, it's fine. You know I'm going to cancel with September holidays. I'm going to the grand fine, we're going to be there, whereas you're only just beat an Adelaide. But we'll wait and see what happens there. That's going to be an awesome game. I will be Tipping Carlton, but if Adelaide, when, I'll tell you what. It's going to be a great Sunday night and it's going to be a great weak after that to see what happens in the press with Culton. However, I think that is just about going to sum up the recording I've been talking about now in fifteen minutes now. So you're probably seeking my voice if you've managed to stay on this long. If you have, well done. If you haven't, well, obviously not listening to this, so bugger off. But anyway, it's been awesome for Hamish to give me the privilege of hosting this episode, not that he really had much of a choice. I pressured him to him into letting me take this opportunity, given he wasn't available. He was key just just sort of give the potty your week off. I was like no, no, no, I want to do this one. I want to see. I'm going to go solo. So, apart from the sort of you know, remarks or sentenceism might have come out Chinese, you know, it was very cool to get this opportunity to talk just about footy and just talk absolute dribble. But yeah, it was. Hope you took a bit out of that sort of offseason segment. If you did, you can hopefully getting insight into how much ill of that bit of the AFL. If you didn't, fair enough. You join the night and I'm percent the population is sort of roll your eyes whenever I mentioned it yeah, Awesome Week of footage to come up. So Awesome Week of footy coming up. That's probably a reason why to end this episode now because I'm starting to speak absolutely gibberish as I speach. I cameras taken a very but looks of it a very courageous mark is it's just about knock knocked out bread close with a knee. But go to the third quarter there in the Brisbane Gelong game, about four minutes and that's just what I've seen. That's a huge grap so I'm just going to end it here now we're at an hour nineteen. Good luck to ever run in super coach and TIPIC and punting. I think we're all going to need it. But yeah, I will catch you guys, probably next week. Cheers.
