NRL Rounds 7-10 Review - Episode 39

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Lachy joins Hamish to review each NRL teams' performance over the last 4 rounds. The boys give each team a rating out of 10 and discuss the positives and negatives at the halfway point of the season for each club.

Crowd. Cheese settle. Welcome back to the on the ball podcast. This is episode episode thirty eight, thirty nine th I leg it just looked at this an episode thirty, as you probably just heard, joined by my older brother Lucky. Welcome back, may go misshow you done? Good. Thank you. And, like we did a month ago, almost to the day, we're going to be reviewing the last four hounds of the NRL. So, although I probably don't talk about it that much on this podcast because I understand obviously a lot of people don't follow it or, you know, they have their favorite sports that include stuff, I afl and stuff. So I like to keep it a diverse range of sports that we talked about here, but n rls probably, in terms of definitely watch ours, the sport I followed the most. Im not sure if it's my favorite sport. That's probably a conversation for another day. But yeah, so I've got lock here and we're just going to go like we did with the AFL review in the last cent our of you. We're just going to go team by team, hit hit them up with a rating out of ten, just discuss how their month has gone and you know how their seasons. Looking moving forward to the final, well, we're now exactly halfway through, so there's ten rounds left. So it's really starting to set up for finals and you can really see who are going to be the contenders and stuff like that. So, without further a do we'll just move in. We'll just go straight with the alphabetical order again like last time. We'll keep it all the same. I think it worked pretty well. So we'll roll in with the Brisbane bronchos. Would you think of their month lock? Shocking. Yeah, I think we all expected some improvement given the teams that were they had to come up against. The thing they play the warriors, titans and the dogs, and I think a lot of people, and myself, expected them to probably get two or three wins there against those three week sides. But they've failed to do that and they're in probably the biggest hold the clubs ever been in it's history. I don't think they've ever been in a position like this. Well, certainly since I've started watching that Irell I've never really seen the bronchos in absolute turmoil as are now. Like I've the old urmil turmoil for the bronchos would be like when Ivan Hen Jack was coaching and they came ninth or ten or something in the miss they like that was should be sitting the fan there. Now they're, you know, arguably the worst term of the competition at the moment. Yeah, and I don't know exactly what we said in the last month, but looking around five and six, they did lose, but they lost it too good teams and manly in the night. So you would have thought moving into these easier games they would have, as you said, been looking at maybe three wins if not for as these four teams are a lot weaker on paper, although the Tigers are sitting in at seventh at the moment. But yeah, very disappointing from there. And to come away with one win out of for and they got convincingly beaten by the titans and the West Tigers. So not not another good month for Anthony See bold and his fellow coaching staff and players, although it's a tough decision to make because obviously he's got so many years left on his contract. I think he's got full left or something. So would be a huge financial burden if they keep this up to the end of the season. It I'd be surprised if you kept the job. Well, the boards given him five wins. I've win the last ten, ten, which I think is pretty stupid. We pretty stupid things are for a team. Coming Fourteen is ambitious and I'm not too sure if that's going...

...to turn into better performances really, because I don't know who was saying it, but it's kind of clear that the players already aren't playing for the coach, because otherwise they would have started putting in more effort. So I'm not really sure how that's going to change it, by giving the coach and ultimatum. But you know, proof will be in the pudding, I guess. So they're sit in fourteen. They are two wins outside the eighth, which probably isn't the worst situation considering how bad they have played, but at this point I think finals is a is like that. That's that ship has sailed. They've got harder fixtures coming up, with only three or four games that you'd probably say they are a strong chance going into, and every other game they're going in heavy underdogs, like this weekend they're going in at seven odds against the storm. So atsun call, which is pretty rare to s see for Bruce and Broncos team. So yeah, not, not positive signs in Brisbane. In terms of a rating, cheese, I'm not sure if there's too many numbers to choose from here. Out of ten, I'll give them one. Yeah, I got one. That's something. It can be much worse. That's only because can you give a team as zero? Well, if they lost to the bulldogs, I would have given them sir. That is true. Yet that's I haven't they haven't even shown anything, and even like game like, the bulldogs are very good team. Yeah, and they were celebrating as if they'd want the body premiership. Yeah, exactly. And the problem is for them now they're going to get a few players back from injury, so they might start playing a little bit better, but now they've missed like the opportunity against the weaker side. So even if they're playing a bit better against the storm, the roosters there's probably got to still going to get smacked unless they somehow dramatically improved. Yeah. Well, the big thing for them as well I get Dave feedback, think sometime the next two weeks. Yeah, and obviously he's probably one of the most impactful players in the game and whether that inclusion him coming back into the team bill, you know, get the boys fired up and start and make them St upwards more effort in and just put better performances. And I'm not sure, but the they're just stuffed at the moment, the Broncos. I think that just they want this season dowend. For sure. It's a pretty bad situation because, like seabold, I'm not saying he's coach well or anything, but like he has made a lot of attempts to try and fix the team balance and stuff like that. Like every week there's two or three changes, but none of them have worked really, like, I don't not even a single one. I think he's been addressing the key change, like the changes he needs to make. He's been dancing around them, like yeah, I think one week he made a change which was moving coreotes from the wing into the back row. Like how much of a difference is not going to make? Where the key problem for them is obviously in their halfs and their spider at the moment. And they did say today that apparently Milford's at fullback did and join his cross in the halfs. Yeah, but I'm not sure. I'm not sure whether they'll do that because it's been reports for last three weeks that they've been there with that they've got to change the spy, but it hasn't happened. Yeah, I'd really like testing you, but I think he's a bit underdone. I don't think like I have been looking at him with rose tinted glasses, but realistically he hasn't played well at all. In such a key position you can't of need someone who can put put in a bit more of a shift. Nothing against him. He's obviously only like eighteen or something, so I'm sure he will improve after his first, you know, four or five games of his career. Yeah, so not not good footy from the Bridgman Broncos, unfortunately. However, moving on to the team that they did beat, so that's an interesting, you know, little concept there that we're doing the Broncos of one and now we moved to the end the team they'd beat, the bulldogs, currently sitting at the bottom of the table. They are two wins off fifteen as well, so not ideal for them. I think there's been three coaching changes this month, which is pretty insane. You don't see...

...that too often, and one was deem pay he quit. But do you reckon it was a bit of I think the board. I think the board told them. I told him sorry, that he was done last the year. Okay, and then he's so I think, yeah, well, what I read was that they said that we're not you shouldn't have a new coach the club in two thousand and twenty one. So he said, well, I'm just gonna leave there. Yeah, so that's probably the biggest news out of this month for the bulldogs. But they did go owen for they had queren for and back. I think he played the whole month. If I'm not they didn't play the second half of the weekend. Yeah, kind of look like he was out with an ancuous looking foot injury, which is a bit of a concern because they didn't seem to be too much contact, which are always the ones that are a bit frightening as a fan of Kure and foreign. But yeah, for losses, and fair to say they didn't play too many good teams like, yeah, the West Tigers and the rabbitos in the A, but at the time of when they played them they weren't in the greatest form. And then they lost to the Broncos and the dragons, who were probably winning book games and the bulldog's eyes, has to be said, they were very close to winning that game on Saturday, which probably would have changed their outlook on this month for a little bit. But Yeah, Oh, and for however, in terms of against their expectations, they don't have the loftiest expectations. Do that? They don't. Well, we don't of them anyway. I'm sure in the club they, you know, aren't expecting to go on for every month. But I'll just give them a three. I've given them the two. Yeah, a little bit of leeway, but yeah, and the other big news for them is that they're probably signed a contric for three years. Yeah, which is a big moment in a begin for the club, and I think there's probably going to be some more signings. And now its think hero ware and I was leaving, but they've been reinstated with the club. But I think he doesn't want to play it. He doesn't want anything to do with the bulldogs. So I want to hear where he go. That's they every everywhere I've been reading it's camera. That's to fill the judge. Even jove. That's actually a really good pick up would rat a highly. They would need that. They'll have some space as well with him leaving and then get leaving also, so they need that bit x factor in there for pack. I'd like that to see that. On a more positive note, Luke Thompson has played his first two games. Looks really lively. Against the broncos, had that little one on one jewel with Pang guy all night long and although Panguy probably on that jewel, he really stood tototoe with one of the better middle forwards in the game. So that kind of just shows the caliber of player he is in the kind of source that he is made of. So he's probably a fairly exciting prospect for bulldogs fans, you'd say, in an otherwise pretty bleak looking mouth. Yeah, hasn't been great for the bulldogs. I don't think it's. The rest of the season is not going to be much prettier. Yeah, then, moving on to a code, another team, who sack their coach, Paul Green. The happening this morning, did it not? We're recording this on Monday. I think it did. He that happen that late last night or this morning morning. Yeah, so Paul Green's gone. Apparently there's rumors that he's going to the Warriors Geek, which would be interesting because obviously there was a time there where he was one of the highly rated coaches. But looking back now it's kind of hard to tell whether that was just because they had Jonathan first or not. But how they go this month? They had an up and down month. They played really well against the nights despite not doing anything that last twenty minutes got pole axed by the eels and the roosters and they put up a bit of pretty strong fight yesterday and penrith. Yeah, kind of similar. I think the Tigers played better against Penrith, but kind of similar way we're kind of seemed like penrith are going to win most of the game but they really hung in there for as long as possible and I think Pennris scored a try in the last thirty seconds Nathan cleary, so that blew out that school line a little bit more. They're sitting in twelve.

Just on top of that fourteen pack on six points. So what you what are you thinking about the cowboys? Mate, bit disappointing. I mean they've I guess we're sort of aren't getting a really good view of what the team actually is like. Yeah, yeah, they obviously no world beat as at the moment and I think I had high hopes from that started year in terms of finishing around eight or night, but that probably won't happen this year. They're just well, obviously we they've got two young halfs as well, so they've had more going to out for most of the season and Valentine homes is injured now, so that've had some injury troubles. They just have struggled defensively against the rooster. has really tall them apart. Yeah, really exposed them on the edges. But yeah, no, it hasn't been a good month for the cowboys with our poor I think Paul Green quick actually, but I don't know if it was a similar I might have been a similar things times hard to the bulldogs. But but yeah, so we're interesting to see what they their future coaching movements are, because they do have some good talent on that roster with some good upandcoming players and they've already got some well established players there. So you know they are don't think they'd be too far off playing in the eight. They just need to make some more important and more I mean better evaluated sidings. I think, like I think the siding of me submasters as hasn't been great so far. He's sort of playing quite similar form football to last year when it was at the Tigers, and I'm happy to see him as out of the Tigers to be hold there. Yeah, and so, yeah, I don't know much that paying him, but it's almost as if they didn't watch him play last year. Just got off his two thousand and eighteen. There was almost just like a shot in the dark that they were hoping the last year was the one off, not the year before. Yeah, so, yeah, they've got a full week in Queensland, which is full months orry in Queensland. They've got three games in towns will and then one, well, this is assuming that the fixtures don't change you to covid or anything, and then a game at the Gold Coast. So that's probably not the worst situation for them that they can, you know, bond as aside up at home with whoever their new care taker coaches. I'm going to probably be a bit generous on this one, but I'm going to give them a five. They beat a good team the nights. They put up a good fight against penrith and they went down all, Beit fairly easily, to two of the better teams in the competition in the EELS and the roosters. So if this was their opening month, I probably would have rated them a bit lower. But I think I've adjusted my expectations for the cowboys because we kind of know they're not as good as we thought they were going to be. So I'm giving them a five. What about you? Yeah, I've given the three. Yeah, I just think just appointing. I think. Yeah, like, therefore, they were stuck in it yesterday with the panthers. But look, at the end of the day, the panthers weren't playing their most fluent and cohesive attire football, and they don't. They don't blow teams off the park really penned with. So I sort of just strangle you down. Yeah, they like you. Car's a kind of hard score points against them as well. Yeah, it's always a low scoring a fair agains. Some of the always win by like one, two, three tries, but be an just disappointing from the cowboys again, I think. Yeah, and although they do have a full month in Queensland, they only have I think, three or four of their remaining ten matches or against teams outside the top ten, so outside the top eight. So it's not looking good for their prospects. That got manly in the raiders in the next two so it's not really going to get easier for the men from Townsville. Now moving on to the dragons, who honestly probably have one of the more positive months. I think it's they're tough one to judge because in terms of the ladder and their last five weeks, in terms of the results, it's been pretty positive for them after what was a grim looking start to the season. But I still don't think they're playing the greatest footie on the actual like on...

...the field. A lot of their tries are a bit fluky or they just come down to well, like, for example, on the weekend it was just absolute routine kick and then Lomax just pulls up like one of the best catches I've overseen, chasing through at full speed. So they're relying a lot on that and they're relying a lot of Matt Dufty, who's probably been one of the most informed players in the competition over this last month. What what are you what do you thinking about St George. Look, they've definitely improved over the past four weeks and compared to their first six games of the season. They didn't look like betting anyone after the first six weeks, but they've, you know, putting some stints. They think they when they played camera and the roosters this month and they didn't get blowing off the park, which is a good sign. I guess a bit of improvement there and obviously had a last mate winner against the bulldogs, but I get the bulldogs kind of handed it to the end by knocking that ball on. Yeah, so you know, look, it's definitely an improvement and I feel like they've finally started to figure out where to play everyone. That's taken them two years but they've finally decided wherever and's just kind of play like we can just lock hunt at the Hooker, Norman and the halfs and then Matt Duffy at fullback. So at least they have some sort of clarity around what the team is going to be like every week, which makes preparing for the next week a lot easier. And the more games that they play with each other in these positions and there's no chopping and changing in the key positions. I think it's something going to do them a world of good. Yeah, I just look, they still need a bit of they're still not great, but they they're getting they're getting better slightly. You're getting better. Stay like Ben Hart like. There was a few of the ones when he he would just get out of me half run across field and he'd expected forward to be coming under him but there was no one doing it. So sort of gets a bit sloppy sometimes. But I mean he's only played hooker in the ourther handful of times over the last couple of years, so I guess it's just natural. Yeah, as I was saying, I don't think they've been amazing on the field, but it's pretty hard to ignore their results. All four of them have been pretty impressive, despite only having two wins and out of the four games. I'm actually going to be very, pretty generous, I think here. I'm going to give them and give them a seven. I've given them a six. Yeah, just because I've had very low expectations for the dragons, but now they sit one win outside the top eight and their two losses came to in, as you said, in time matches against the grand finals of last season, so I don't think dragons fans can complain too much about that. They've got a big match this weekend. It's actually in away game for them, but it's at Jubilee Stadium, so pretty lucky there, and it's against the sharks, who are not. So with a win there they could leap from them, which would be pretty big for them. So yeah, that's it for the drags. Matt dafty seriously impressive. I thought he was just run. I have to say I was critical of him. Yeah, he's actually pressed me a little bit. It's passing ability. I didn't really know if you had that in his game, but he's proven otherwise. Lomax looks like he's gone to the next level after kind of a slow start to his career, but that's good to see. Now moving on to the EELS, so they're sitting in second. They got toppled by penrith after this weekend's loss to manly. Those very quite close game, though. They're obviously been playing with have they had the whole month without Moses? I think he got injured in the Raiders Games. Three Games now. Yeah, yeah, so that's obviously being a big out for them and then they had madow out on the weekend, who hopefully is out for this weekend as well as the Tigers play them. So they went three wins, one loss. They had a very tight win over the raiders. That was the one where guthough, you know, kind of played off his head and keep the field goal. Gutho is sitting second in the Dahim Medal. Yeah, it's kind of crazy to think about. YEA, honest, he only got overtaken. He was on top spot...

...last weekend but got overtaken by our man Harry Grant. So love to see that, especially heading into a paramount of tigers clash. Tough one to jarge. I I can this this paramount of month because it's kind of like, yeah, they've done pretty decent. They've had three wins, one loss, but very tight gaming. As to night. It's very tight gaming as the raiders and a loss to manly, who haven't been in good form. What are you what are you thinking? I think they did pretty well, considering, obviously, besides laugh the gaming as mainly they did well without Moses. Strifield came in and was nice and solid. He he played his role. He's putting him some better performances and he did at the dragons, I guess, a better club to come into. And, you know, Dylan browns really stepped up and showing that he's, you know, one's Day, could be one of the better five bats in the competition and he's still only twenty years old. So I think they've had a pretty good month. Really, if they could have won against me only, it would have been a well, obviously going for it. I was a pretty successful month that it would have been ideal. Give it that the Miss Moses for three games or three and a half games. So they've they've done pretty well to me able to maintain their structure and continue to perform weekend week out despite, you know, probably I could be their best players been out. Yeah, they've looked good until the weekend where their attack looked a little bit sloppy, especially in that first time. I've just didn't really look like they wanted to be out there. On the weekend. I think bill browns had a bit of an off game, but that's expected after he's been really good all season. Basically, I'm going to give them an eight. I was going to give them as seven, but I thought Moses out, if any team misss. You know, HP level player who's plays in such an important position such as halfback, you'd expect them to take a bit of a dip. But, as we said, three wins, two of them against good sides and raiders in the night. So yeah, I'll get them an eight. I gave him seven. Yeah, I'd just seen the last on the weekend was pretty bad. Yeah, they it wasn't like it was a close and they lost it in the last ten minutes. They were blown out of the park. Of the first ten, fifteen minutes they could just never, never, call their way back. Do you have? Do you have faith for the tax this week or not? Really Really, I think partm I were going to win, to be honest. But yeah, you have no never know. Now moving into the Newcastle Nights, another team who's had a bit of an up and down month. I don't think they played their greatest footy this month at all. Really, they looked better on the weekend, but those kind of just because ponger refound his form that he is kind of missing over the last two weeks. And when saying that, they do sit in fourth, they're above the roosters, they're above the raiders, are above the rabbiters. So if you told the nightside of the start of the season going halfway, at the midpoint, they'd be above those three teams. I think they would be. Tell you you're kidding. So they're probably pretty tough. Without the fans, they went to into they lost to the cowboys, which is a bit of a concern. That was a pretty bad game from them, although the cowboys did play really well. They want a very sloppy game against manly, lost to the eels narrowly and then they beat the rabbitos on the weekend, despite deciding to fall sleep with fifteen minutes to go and Damion Cook just started running rings around them. I'm going to give them. Well, this is a tough one because I don't know whether to go of my preseason expectations or my expectations heading into this month. I'll give them as six, although they still it. Do still sit in position for on the ladder, just not some of their finest performances, and I didn't have the highest hosts and the coming to this year, so that's probably why it's not lower. But yeah, I'll give them a six. Yeah, I'll give them a five. I think look obviously that's mainly because of their lost not of Queensland, which is a pretty poor performance. I really got blown out of the water the opening...

...up of think Calis got twenty points in the first half. But you know, if they can just play the full eighty, there we've they'll be fine. They'll be playing finals footy. I mean they're in fourth place at the moment, but they just there's just periods and they games where they sort of slow down and switch off a little bit, which let's see other team back into the game. And then they've also had some trouble over the PO pongers. I think three of the matches this month I think he only played like fifty to sixty minutes because he's keeps get knocked out by someone. Yeah, so you know that obviously doesn't help having your fullback and one of your key players missing a quarter of the game each week, which is a bit of an issue. But he looked like you play one of his better games on the weekend. He was pretty scored a pretty good try and their Ford packs to their Ford packs been pretty good. That's probably been the big thing this year is that for packs really stepped up and it's not star started, but there's valuable players everywhere from that, from the one through to well three, eight through to seventeen. The Ford packers valuable players everywhere. Yeah, well, that's sad to see. Some the weekend I think that was the first time they hadn't had any injuries the suspensions and they had the Sea Metaudia and Mitch Barnett on the bench, who are and big fans of both of them. So just shows how deep and high quality their Ford Line is. And you expect it from Mike Clemor and Daniel Syfeedy, but blokes like Jacobs Ifeed, they've really taken the next step, which is really one of the big reasons why they're in number four in the ladder. So and obviously piercing pong of been awesome and Bradman best is looking like one of the comps best centers, Cremans, I didn't yes perman, as well as superbous so far. Yeah, curt man has really stepped it up and now kind of Watson's back. So really looking good for the nights, though they're not a team I'd like to play in finals because, as we kind of saw in that first half against the rabbitos when they're on like they're seriously dangerous team. Yeah, correct. Now moving on to the pen of Panthers Round again. That I think I'll I'll rate Ivan clears her out of ten for this month. Just showed that he's probably the worst bloke in the NRL. I'm all about it. Bit of Banti. That's good. So they actually went for and I they're sitting number one on that ladder. WHO DID THEY LOSE to? It been WHO's peneth loss of the EELS. I remember that tip pen within and they drew to the nights. So that's all that's stopping them from an unders undefeated season. So far. They've beaten the rabbit O's. As you said, they love a close win. They beat the RABBITO's tigers and cowboys by two tries all less, and then in round nine, bit of a points fest against the sharks, with seventy points or eighty points being scored, something crazy like that. Yeah, eighty. Took me a while to get the mask on there. So yeah, they're looking really good. Similar to the night so I was didn't have them anywhere near the top eight. Well, that's a bit may on that. I probably had them like ten, but I definitely didn't have them coming into minor premiership contention. So, yeah, it's pretty hard to rate them low at all. I'm going to give them a nine, very close to a ten, but just because some of their wins weren't that convincing. They're very close and like the Rabbitos, tigs and cowboys, they're not, you know, the rate the roosters all the nights or something. But yeah, I gave them a night as well. I think I would have given them a timber their attack. They just struggle to score points. Really well, I've not struggle to score points, but besides our sharks game, they haven't really been able to break down any of the other defenses that they've come up against. Yeah, so that's probably not a concern because their defense is pretty good, but it's more of a signature vivant clearly style higher these low scoring games. Yeah, Defense Wins you the match. You'll score you you know with these teams are going to just score like two to four tries and then it's about, you know, reducing producing the...

...opportunities that you give the the opposition team to score tries, and they've seemed to do that quite well, and even yesterday's gaming US cowboys, they didn't like the cowboys scored ten points or something, but one of the most through a pretty good individual try by Himi Soo tab you I fedale. But besides that I don't really recall too many, too many chances that they actually gave the cowboys that, let alone sets in there at twenty. So for them it's really defense wins matches. But they will get their test, I think, when they come up against the Russ and things like that later in the year. They'll that will really test out of that defense because if they can, the defense can hold up against those teams, they can still manage to score those four tries, they you know, could go quite far on the season. But I just I don't think they're at that level yet. I think there are. They're a little bit away from being in that top bracket, I think, with Melbourne and Sydney. Yeah, it may be paramatter now. I think they're going to win the minor premiership, though. I'm just looking at their fixtures now. I think they only play three teams in the top eight as of right now. So, as you said, I don't think they're the premiership favorites or anything. I probably wouldn't even have them in the top four premiership favorites. But yeah, definitely think they're strong contenders for that minor premiership, especially with a soft draw. And Nathan cleary has just not sure why he's our dad really has something against he's a great player, but I'm willing to distance the fact that his dad is Ivan cleary and he is a serious talent. Like. Yeah, I think Mitchell Moses, although has been hard done by by that injury, I think you'll find it very hard to wrestle that number seven. I'm for the blues. The performances that clear is putting since he's come back from that suspension of been phenomenal. I mean he's there was that discussion about whether you pick Moses or clearly, heading in to the state of origin series, is Shue at halfback for New South Wales, but I think I think there's no question now as that yet theory. Do you just say everything? Doesn't he like? There's very few players who like maybe I can monster, he's another one who does this, but usually ever, a game manager or like a game breaker, and he's both. He and he's also really good defense. So yeah, he's not afraid to come out and hit blokes. Defense. Yeah, it's runs a ball, e. they, as you said, does everything and he's only twenty two and his you know, turning into one of the best, best stifacts of the competition. Yeah, right up there was like she's of great power. Yeah. So now in to sell Sidney, the boys from the borrow straight another strange month. They've just not been playing greatfoot you have their all season really, but it's very weird season. Can't think of a single game where they've put more than forty minutes of good footy together. I honestly think times on the weekend that last twenty minutes is the first time we've seen Rabbitos at full flight and it was really exciting stuff. It could have been down to just the night switching off, but they look deadly all the all the boys were cut and cutting loose, and that was without the trail. So chuckolate trail back into that mix and it's pretty deadly stuff. But, as I said, that's twenty minutes out of the what eight hundred minutes of this season so far? That's not really good enough, is it? They lost to Pendrith beat bulldogs bit tigs lost the night, so probably lost the two games you'd expect them to lose one the two games you'd expect them to win. So for that reason I'm going to give them a five. In terms of the results, probably could have been looking at like a seven, but I just don't think they've been playing that well in their wins all their losses. So what about you? Yeah, I've given them the five as well. Look, they do come away with two wins, and that when against the Tigers, probably the better, one of the better performances of the year was. They really just kept the Tigers out of it. It wasn't as if there was a brilliant strategy behind their win. They just for that first half. They just didn't drop the bold and give away penalties, didn't...

...give away a set restarts and they just kept the ball in the Tigers half. So the Tigers didn't have any opportunities to score, to score whatsoever. So they kind of just shut the tigers out and that gave the last twenty minutes of stuck. Tiger started to get a few opportunities and they started to score some points. So they're not they're not the best team anymore. I don't think. But they have shown that if they can play an erroless game, which is quite hard to do, but if they can play, you just smart say Footie, that they can keep teams out of it, because when they've when the other teams flow firing at them, it looks like they struggle to be able to hold them off. Yeah, but in saying that, they aren't eight. So, considering that we've not been impressed with the way they're playing, to be still being eth you'd probably have to take that. You know, you'd be worried if their worst football was seeing them sitting like twelve or something. But I have to say I do think they to make finals because I don't know that the teams below them. You got the shark. I think manly will make it, despite being in the below them, and then the Tigers are above them. I still back them to finish. About the tags, but the tires are a pretty tough drawer. Yes, eason, but if I'm the Roosters, the nights, the EELS, penrith storm, I'd be happy to draw the RABBITOS and finals. I think they're probably one of the less potent teams. Yeah, out of that lot really actually probably think they are the least out of that top ten. So well, you'd probably not be too mad if you've got the sharks. Yeah, I mean, therefore, pacts under performing. Car Well, I don't even know if it's under performing or whether it's just this good. So outside of cover, Marie really, who's a WHO's great player. He played, we paid quite well against the guys. Think probably his best game of the year. Yeah, he was really good in those last twenty minutes as well. That really got the firing. Yeah, steward, what's seward's played all right this month, who has been good? So has been good. Yeah, he's still in the younger though. So yeah, and then George tour just is also putting a few good shifts. But apart from that, yeah, it's not. But then he puts in good shifts, but he has plenty of errors and penal yeah, as like, I don't I don't think too. Toll has been great. I do get up nights not getting on. They do get dry our next year, but it'll be interesting to see whether they chase another forward to try and you know, Bush the forward pack up a bit. Yeah, maybe get someone from England again. Well, I don't remember that guy's that Luke Thompson's prop partner? I can't remember. He's like fat's Haggy, I don't know. Now on to the raiders. Speaking of Englishman, we've got the half Englishman, half Kiwi's in the raiders and Jack One. They're sitting in sixth, tired with the Roosters, who they did beat on Thursday night. Really impressive performance by them, probably one of their final games at the season. I think they've been a bit rusty since the first four weeks of the competition where they look like they were going to be going straight back to that grand final, since half time against the storm n three. That's great point. They lost that game against the EELS. Highlight of their month was probably Cory Horse Bra I thought about that. That's funny, cracking it, giving people the bird in the crowd. Give it to Madison to see I like that. I will I will bash you. Yeah, but yeah, they lost that, which was probably a pretty bad loss when you consider Moses was out from like the twenty minute and they got dominated by Gutho, who I'm not sure if that's the great I don't think you that wanted to fit to be cut open by guthough it's not like you've bowed down to some king. Well, he's killed King Gutho. Yeah, but I mean, yeah, then they beat the dragons by only a try. That game was a bit of a war of the drains. Almost stole that one actually. Then they lost the storm and then they'd beat the right roosters. So they do look like they're slowly warming up, but that attack is still a bit of a worry. It's just nowhere nearest fluent as last year. And I don't know why I haven't mentioned this yet, but Josh Hodgson is out for the year with an acl so yeah, that is probably not going to put that into my rating, but in terms of Raiders...

Fan Rating, that would definitely, you know, lower this month. Yeah, yeah, that's true. That's really hurt their premiership hopes. I know you think he's a little bit overrated and a lot of people are saying last time he got injured they did quite well with her Villian at Hooker, but I'm not too sure if he's going to be able to, you know, perform in the big games and see them over the line. But they do have good harves pairing, good plays everywhere else. So who knows? Yeah, I've given them a seven, but that's mainly I would probably if it was against any other team, that win against the Russ if that was against any other team, would probably be five or six. But that was a pretty good win to knock off the roosters. So I've given there, as I said, give him a seven out of ten. They are just finding ways to win games, though that sometimes I look out of it. I mean, even against the storm, they stayed it, stay in it. They stayed in they stayed in it, which is, you know, good to see for the raiders and it's a positive thing for their fans and means they even if they're a bit off, they can still find some points here and there and, you know, not get beaten by twenty points, but, you know, lose by trial to and I mean if they can just get the attack going, they can start scoring for four to five, four tries a week, four to five tries a week, or win more for the night or more. I mean they'll win most of the Games of the do that. That just seems to be the main issue of the moment and I think, like you know, chance probably is having the same impact on the game is he did last year. They're probably missing coming, but Sayes probably missing. AIDENC'es are a little bit just like he seems to be a bit more of a controlling figure than George Williams. Like George Willions, is a good player, but I think he's main strengths running the footie also. Yeah, one straight, yeah, and he like he can't keep. But in terms of managing the game, I don't. I don't think he's better than season. Was it that he's vain strength is having a limebreak every time he runs because he's knows is yeah, fifty. That try. Well, that trying the weakeny score was super here. I try shows a glimpse every little every week. Yeah, a little five minute patch where you like, Geez, yeah, it's just want to say him get in there. I just move the park boys around the park and you know, picky spots like a like clear, he does, I guess. Yeah, and and Sherry Evans just sort of want him to be directing the boys around the park. But until that can happen, I don't know how many, how many points are going to be able to score each week. We think as well, obviously as well as George Williams. halfbacks always important. I do think Shans is a big indicator on their success. I think in the last two weeks they have looked better and it's because he's slowly getting into the season. I think he started really slowly and it's only recently where he's slowly getting back to he's a long way off. It's still because his form last year was insane, but he's slowly getting there, slowly getting a little bit more involved. So I think if the raiders, especially with Josh Hodson Out, I think if they're want to go back to that the big dance in October, I think chance is going to have to really lift his game and that will see big improvements in this raiders team. I'm going to give them a six, pretty stiff because you know they're only well if they beat the EELS, which is only you know, guthing missing that field goal and then going down the other and kicking one, you know you're probably looking at the eight, maybe even a night. So it's pretty stiff. But yeah, I'll go six. But not the worst situation in Cambra, as we were saying, for the rabbit as they're not playing their greatest footy and they're in a sixth and then they're playing the rabbitos this weekend and then the cowboys. So they probably would like to get two wins out of that and all of a sudden they're bearing in on that top for so not the worst situation for the green machine. Now into the premiers. The roosters bit of a tough time to I think, for the month. Yeah, they lost to the storm, in arguably game of the year. Right up there with that was the same round as pen retigers. They're probably my two game of the year so far.

And then they lost to the raiders on Thursday night. So they play fourth on a three Thursday night matches and, similar to the raiders, their ratings probably affected. Well, like, I'm not going to include it, but realistically it's probably affected by those injuries. They've had a lot of bad luck this month. Sam veras and Victor Radley, unfortunately both did they sew which will see them out for almost twelve months, and then Daniel Tupos out for the three months or something. Well, sure about the specific days, but yeah, so that is not ideal for them at all, albeit probably less influent. Like. I don't want to you know, bag out someone who's spin inch of twelve months but probably less influential than like a Josh Hodson. So they've probably not had it as bad as the raiders. But debatle you know, Victor Radley was playing really good footie and also like not even just their ability. It probably hurts the hurts the boys to see one of the fellow men go down. I think Victor Radley's a big loss to the roosters and Josh Hodson is the raiders. Can't I think that. I think what Victor Hadley does for the roosters is extremely hard to replace. But launch and touches the ball every play. Yeah, but yeah, but the hooker like he comes in and can still do the same role that Hodgson does, even though it's a different role that headily plays. He can still come in and the game play just changes a little bit where the hook it doesn't have as much the influence in the game. But the lock is starting to become one of the key positions in the league at the moment in terms of that being able to use that forward as a ballplayer to get your half another man outside. So what he did in his ball playing ability is just incredible. I think. I think he's about are. He had a pretty good year this year. It is a shame to see him injured because, you know, I think it was going to be a big year for Victor, but a victor, the inflictor. But but I think that's a big loss because they don't have a like for like replacement necessarily. Well, yeah, don't even know if I exists in the competition. Very wanted to, I can't marry or something, or rejected Roy of which is sort of like a like Foru like in terms of what they bring to the team in attack and defense as well. So that's a you know, that's a big loss the roosters and they've, I think they got isaactly you and Tuck Yaho rotating in there them and who I mean? They're both good players. But it's going to be pretty, pretty hard and I don't think they've got to be able to replace a victor brings to the side, which hurts them. And always the two Bohos as well, because he's carries out of the back of exceptional as. He's always a big part of you know, given their forwards a rest because he they can rely on Tupou to get like, you know, h ten meters every career when he's taking the first hit ups at the set. So yeah, part this is probably a bit stiff, but I'm going to give them a for purely because they're expectations would us so high. Like I they could win for for from for and I probably wouldn't even give them more than than eight like that's just how high their expectations are. And there two wins were against the dragons and the cowboys, who you'd expect them to be every day the week. So yeah, I'm going to probably a bit stiff, but I'll get them a for. What about you? I got them the six. Yeah, they lost to the loss of the storm. Was What? By field goal on our penalty goal. That's right, Jack Friend. Yeah, and then they'll let by try on the weekend to the raiders. So like, look, they've lost. They they've lost their two games in the last like five minutes of the match, and I don't think there's anything to worry too much for. The rest is, if you're USS Fan, they've lost four games this year, the six and four, I think. But I don't think there's anything to worry about. The haven't really they haven't fielded a full strength team. Prages, like there's always someone getting injured, pulling out in the warm up. But I think they can. They can they have that? Yeah, they can afford to rest players, where other clubs might have to play them, like if someone has a little grown niggle...

...or something. Other clubs and I'd be like look, we need you to play. But the roosters like look, will you can have a week off. Will bring someone in like a Bartow for Marris whatever. Will bring a Gavalo in, like the week against the cowboys, are brought run hall and Incovalo in for Mooris and to Peron. They want like forty points. Yeah, Commali, scoed far T. Yeah. So they've got guys on the wings who, you know, come in and coming in, filling where needed. So I think it's too much of a worry. And look, Teddy's playing some pretty good foot of the moment. They just need to, you know, tighten up. I think defensively they'll be a bit annoyed with their loss in the weekend. I think they had a few soft tries. But once they get the once I can start figuring out that defense and, like, you know, making that solid each week and seating ten points a week. They're they're not going to be looking back on it. Think they're very good team and I think they're still the team to beat. Yeah, hundred percent. Then fifth and they've got a fairly easy run home, to be honest. Their next three include the warriors, times and dragons, so probably racking up points to French of a hundred and twenty in those four game, three games alone. So I definitely think they'll be finishing the season in the top for if not at the very tippy top of the table. But yeah, no, not really, not that big of an issue really where they come. It's kind of just got to have everyone fit for finals. They just finished hop for I feel if you're them, yeah, top for you back yourself to win the first week, the other week off and you're the Seeo Ga for the prelud hundred percent. So now moving on to manly, there's a lot of teams like they're like the rage and the rabbits kind of where they're almost been under performing. Obviously heard a lot by the loss of turbo, which I think happened in the last round the last month. So that's effect their play a lot. But that went on Saturday was huge against the EELS, who have only lost one other game. That would have done heaps for them. If they had lost it, they would have been tied with the dragons, one win out of the eight, which would have been a bit of a worry and I'm sure, like the lads, would have been saying like a well, without turbo, we can't do it and stuff like that. So definitely big for them to get that win. However, they did lose the three games prior to this. They also the sharks and dragons, which is not ideal at all for a team who will probably we're looking at top fall, let alone guaranteed top eight, and then they lost to the nights in a close one. So yeah, it's hard. It's hard to say because obviously they've had a lot of injuries, not just turbo. Actually they've had Dylan Walker, two powers, Mr Bit, thinks, Sarah, Mr Game, slowly, slowly, Mr to. I think so. Yeah, it's been tough for desy in the boys, but huge win on Saturday and purely on that fact I'm going to e with them a five. The three games before it probably warranted like a three or four, just because they have high expectations, but that's a big win on Saturday might even push it up to a six. Actually, yeah, I've I'm tamped four or five now. I'll give him before. I'm given them before. They had a great win on the weekend against the als, yeah, which was much needed to turn the form around. But they lost the sharks and they lost the dragons, who were both, you know, teams that they definitely should be beating, and it's just it's unacceptable to be losing to those teams. I mean, I get that you need turbo dial walk and stuff like that, but they see themselves as a team that could potentially win the competition. And yes, you got to like your most influential player, and then you've got one of you better players as well, add injured. Be You still got DC there. You still at Jake Hboi, which they still got some good players for no a bike, except for the last week. You Got Mighty to power like Sioh. You got guys who can go there and do the job. So they'll be disappointed with how the months gone, I think. And those two, as I just said, those two losses pretty much unacceptable. Yeah, it's a loose to the sharks and the dragons. Yeah, hugely because, like you, compare it to paramounter of done without Moses, Nathan Brown Madison on the weekend. Yeah, it's pretty disappointing,...

...but that's a big win on the weekend. Looking forward for them, they've in the next three. They've got the cowboys and the warriors, but they do have pain writh in the middle there. But that is a brookie. So you know, they can kind of do anything a Brookie, can't they, as they showed on the weekend. So interesting little spot they're in because the teams around them. You definitely say they're a better side than that, but kind of hard to argue when the results aren't, you know, confirming that. They're moving on to the SHARKY's they've been scoring a lot of points. Really a second in points scored, I'm pretty sure, but only behind the roosters. They cracked the forty every single game this month. Juicy says they went three in one. They're only lost came. Oh No, they didn't crack the forty in that one. That was pinner. Sorry, they're only lost was that game against pain rith where they went down fifty six to twenty. Four. So yeah, they've been scoring a lot, but their defense hasn't been great and they two of those four games. Where's the titans and the warriors? However, in saying that, if they just go with the team Shins, team Chean strategy of I school, more points and you are win, that seems to be working for them at the moment. So hard to really argue with what they're doing. I'll just come out and say it straight away. I'm going to give them an eight just because, although they haven't been the greatest team, they've been now to form seagulls and then to lower teams in the table. I didn't have the biggest expectations for them this year. I thought they were going to be that one ten, to drop out of the eight and probably drop below the likes of the tags, night's Penrith, which they have on the ladders so far. But yeah, three wins out of for for a ten that I think I tipped to come twelve or something. Fair play. I'll give them a night. I've given the six. Yeah, yeah, they won. They wont a few Games, but beat the titans and the Warriors, Games that they definitely should have won and probably by the margin that they did. They did beat many, which is a solid effort. And then, obviously the game against the panthers is pretty shocking. Can See fifty of points to the panthers. They were really bad that game. Ye, not great. So that's why I've give them a six, I think. Yeah, they're winning games, but they've had a lucky, dry thing, not lucky. Dropped an easy draw last four weeks by the penrith game, and I think the latter says are a lot better than they are. I don't think they're the greatest football team playing coming around. And like yesterday they smashed worried the warriors, but there was plenty of mistakes and errors in the game. Yeah, I'll get us with the scoring. This many points, but they just want a way to score. I mean the warriors also don't help themselves a sort of just invite you in the score whenever you want. But but yeah, look, I'm I wouldn't be getting excited about the sharks form. Like I know I want three of the last four, but I wouldn't be getting excited it at all. I'd be very shocked if they made finals. Yeah, sho think they're worse than all eight teams above them and then there were some manly to sit below them. Yeah, probably a bit generous for me given them an eight, but yeah, as Locke said, probably just a rating that it's fair for this month and probably not the general of outlook for them this season. Now moving on to the stormers, not the actual stormers, rugby in team, the Melbourne store. They've gone foreigner. The Lad's been brilliant, sitting in third. They've been the warriors, the titans. So same as the shark, he's there. But then they've come out and pumped the two grand finals. Will Not pumped? They beat the two grand finals of the last season. So I'm just going to come out straight away and say it's a night for me, even with ten exception. Yeah, beat the beat the team to beat and gold point. Then come up against tough defensive side of the raiders. They got the win there as well and then they absolutely dismantled both Gold Coast in the warriors like made it look like a training rund of both...

...those games have been brilliant months. has only been back for one of those games. Do you got? You Got Injurine? The warriors going a thing. Yeah, yeah, they're playing good foot is, smiths playing great footy, the whole pap and hours is starting to get into it, and there I've got no complaints. I think they've played exceptionally well over the last month and you know, people start writing them off and after I'm sure the first couple of games they're saying, Oh, you know, they're still they're still not that top two side. But the former show this month shows that you know, on their day they can they can do it, they can still be one of the better, the one of the best teams in the competition and you know they're probably up there is probably the second or third best team in the cop I'd say yeah, hundred percent, and I don't know what's happening with covid obviously, obviously it's worse down here, but if they are to sneak into that top too, I wouldn't want to come down here and play them. As you said, definitely one of the better teams in the competition and in terms of favoriteism, if I had to put money on anyone to win the premiership, I'd probably have them second behind the roosters, just from experience, which probably is one of the down falls of the EELS and penrith. But yeah, pretty pretty stiff not to get in them a ten. As she said. Haven't really put a foot wrong, have they are really like Tino and Nelson off the bench. I think that will. It works a lot better than them starting because the impacts a lot greater. And I like Brandon Smith starting in the middle. I think he's been playing really well scored himself a few tries as well. If there's anything I have to nit pick out, maybe just be I think the outside backs are playing their top footy. But if, if they're the only people in the seventeen not playing their best, like doesn't really matter. So yeah, pretty pretty hard to criticize Bellamy storm at the moment. Now charging on to the titans. Cheese ISS tits. The titans coming in fifteen. Not even sure where their three wins have come from. We're one of them. Oh, they've actually won two out of four. Pretty decent too for the month. I don't think I've watched the Times. It's actually no that's alive. Watched every in their old game this month. Just have made a tension probably falling sleeve cop time. They've been the bronchos in a big one, because those kind of a game where everyone was tipping the Broncos to bounce back and pump the little brother down the down the M one, but the Times did the did in verse. They came out and said sorry, lads, we are actually not that bad. Then they probably were like, you're not going to expect consistent week in, week out performances from them. But from their point of view they were probably really disappointed with their game against the sharks. They they came out and then they just weren't competitive. They it was type for maybe the first fifteen and then the sharks just got away from them. They beat the warriors in a close one, very close one actually. I think they scored in the last two minutes or something. That will maybe the warriors chose the last two minutes. I was remember. It came down to the wire and then they got pumped by the storm. But let's be real, we have low expectations for the titans and probably don't expect much else in that kind of game. Yeah, were were you thinking for the Daven the six, just because they've one two games, but they'd beat the warriors and the Broncos, two of them more out of form teams in the cold and they're, you know, still not playing great footy, but they have shown improvements up on the last the first six games, which is a good sign for Justin Hole Brook and his men. It's just figuring out how to get them to play consistency, consistently so and whether or not they can do it against some of the better teams. They do bit the Tigers, but I think before the end of the season when over the next ten weeks, they'd, you know, they'd be trying to aim, I'd say, knock off two of the better team, two teams that are above them. That's art taking out the Broncos, warriors and the bulldogs out of the equation. So that I think that we look at to try and beat two of the other teams. Lean they do play the dragons, so that probably be looking to be the dragons and, you know, trying to pinch a win off someone somewhere. I'd say they actually so currently that their fifteen, but they are tied twelve on...

...points and they have quite a few winnable games to come. They've got the cowboys that they got in at home and they've got the sharks, they've got the dragons, bulldogs bronchos in the space of three weeks. Yeah, the cowboys is a game they should also be trying to aim to win. So that's five games where they wouldn't go in his favorite but they would definitely going is like the chance. So if they can sneak three or four out of those five, all of a sudden they've come eleven or twelve and they've had a pretty decent year in hole brooks first season. I don't think they've been playing great footy, but I don't think we can expect that. And purely on the fact that they went two wins out of four and they're sitting in technically tied twelve, I'm going to give them a seven because if they can get a win in the next couple weeks and jump ahead of that cowboys, Warriors bronchos group, if they're sitting in twelve like I think they would be very happy with that at the end of the season, given the fact that then they haven't really shown that much this year, to be honest. So I think they would be doing very well to come twelve. Now the warriors, Geez with about Cobb a couple average sides late here we've got the warriors. Do they winning game now? They didn't. I know they beat the bell process. It's wherever. That's just everyone. Yeah, but yeah, they got pump by the storm, went down in a close one to the titans and they got pumped by the Sharky's and they beat the bronchos. So bit of a mixed month for them. I think Steven Kenney got sacked after the first round of this month. Now toddy Payton is the care taker coach and he's probably not having the most enjoyable time of it. And Yeah, Raj Age looks really frustrated, doesn't he? Got To feel for him. Yeah, and I doesn't look like he's enjoying at the moment at all. Roger, yeah, we can week out. He's producing top tier footy, someone that belongs in the top four side and fortunately he's playing with a bunch of guys they're not bad footballs. They just probably just obviously not up to Rogers Standard about. There's a ploty bad players that team. Yeah, they do have a few players back from injury now. They've got the force and mamalow back. I know they couldn't get in the park together Coultos back from injury. NIKOREEMA had a couple games off, I think. So that is kind of a positive thing for the way. Do you have four players go back home this week, though? Yeah, exactly, and their run does not get easy at all over the next month. They've got the roosters, tigers manly in penrith. So if they can sneak win out of that, I think they should buy a lottery ticket. Yes, yeah, fair. Yeah, it's going to be very tough for toddy in his toddy Patton, that is in his first season of coaching. But who knows, they could bring in Paul Green mid season. Yeah, savior could. Yeah, but yeah, I don't want to be too harsh because they didn't have the greatest expectations of them, did we? I'll give them a for it's not being pretty from them. I think that loss of the Times would been really disappointing because they were probably the better team in most of that game. And then that loss against the sharks. As we were saying, the sharks haven't been outstanding in terms of the footy they've been playing, so they would have been disappointed to concede forty six there see, I'll go for yeah, I'm in between two, three or four. Probably Three. I think if they had beaten the titans, I probably would have bumped up to a five or six, but they lost and you know, that's a game that they probably should have won and they probably needed twin as a what I was a weird one. Either team probably needs to win that game. Someone has to lose, obviously, so you know, I'll give him a three. They've not been playing great footy. I feel like the sharks was a potentially winnable game on the weekend, but they just shot himself at the foot to any hours bad defense. They just let you know, pretty much handed the sharks three tries early on, which, you know, I took them out of the game twenty minutes into it. So you know that I do themselves any favors at the moment. Then they're win against the Broncos was kind of good for that.

...was good for them to get a win, toddy Patton get a win and yeah, bliss, they needed to win. They needed to be the Broncos and you know, it was good to see. It's good. He's good to see them going to win. Yeah, and that leaves us with the final team. The worst club in the NFL. Tigers. We've got the tags, who are sitting mighty fine in seventh. They are top of that pack of team on ten points. So you got tigs, rabbit O, Shark Seals. But points difference is doing bits for us, which is the shock. We usually sitting at negative thirty with everyone else on positives around us. In terms of this month we've gone, Geez's actually not great, forty two into two and two, but we've only been the dogs and the Broncos and then we've lost to the RABBITOS and the panthers. In terms of results alone, I think you'd be looking at four or five, but in terms of the way we've played, album got to give us a six. I think in that lost to pen Rith we were very good against a really good team there. As I said before, that was one of the Games of the year for me. Really high intensity first sixty minutes and a kind of you know, got a bit sloppy with all the fights and stuff, and then our dispatchings of the broncos and bulldogs. All though you would expect that from a team who's pushing for the top eight Um characteristic of the Tigers to really put the put the foot down on the throttle for the whole eighty and I think we played really well on those games. So the RABBITOS is probably the only one that you'd be disappointed with. Well, personally I'll cop the panthers loss. But yeah, I was disappointed with the rabbitos one, but the other three und happy with. Sol Roll with the six. Yeah, I think they're in between five and a six, but I've ended up going with a six for the Tigers. Obviously, you said the wins against the bulldogs and the broncos are great wins and they really tore them apart, which all tigers fans we pretty please with that because it's not a regular occurrence for the joint venture. But they're lost to souse, probably not ideal. That's a winnable that was probably a winnable game for the Tigers and you know, the sales came out and just played smart footy, you know, risk free footy, I guess, and they really expose the Tigers out on that left edge defensively, which is a probably a game the Tigers would want back and have a Redo it it, because I think if they had another crack they could they probably would get a win and I'd say but you know, look, they've they've the big thing for that in this year is a magic Mike McGuire hasn't been afraid to drop blokes after a poor performance. He's done it quite a few times over the past month and it seems to be working for the minutes reaping the rewards. You guys. I've been Jim Billy Walters on the weekend. I haven't played for four five weeks and they come in and play pretty good games and you know, the tiger has been forty eight nels. So obviously whatever Michael Guire seemed to be doing is working, which is good, and it's also puts to all the players. I've noticed. You know, if you put it about beerformance like, your spot in the side is not secure. Like if you put it about performance like, I'm not afraid to drop you. So the only blow crews probably not going to get dropped as her grant. And do we even if the grand played a few back games here and there are probably wouldn't get dropped anyway. Yeah, she's a gun, but being nice, some good signs of the Tigers. I definitely look like they're improving as a club. But they do have a pretty hard draw to finish the season. I think the last five, five or six weeks they play play a lot of good teams. Yeah, they play a lot of it do looking at it last time. Im not going to go into two and too to depth for it because it's just a general nurl one. It's not a tags potty. But yeah, it's not looking great for us, is it? So over the next month we've got the EELS, worries, nights and bulldogs. We really need to be winning the warriors bologs if we want any hope. And then we probably do it like this. Sounds ambitious, but we probably do need to get a result from one of the EELS or nights games just because of that fixture we have coming...

...home. Otherwise we could be sitting at ten or eleven come the next time we come down and sit for this podcast, because you know, the sharks have been putting on a lot of points. Rabbits and manly are slowly starting to play better footy in the dragons seem to just win, which is a worring sign for the tags. But you know, we'll give it a well and we've got a Dallim front runner. Yeah, that's true, probably one of the first time. They also need to make sure they win those games because I think, hatting it around fifteen, they're probably going to need to be for four points clear of the eight if they want to make finals. Yeah, they want to make the top a the neay to make sure that two wins clear of nine place. HMM, to give them a, you know, good buffer to be able to afford to lose some games, which I think they're going to at the end of the season because I got to play the roosters and eels and the storm things like that. So you know, it's the whole season can pretty much but dependent on the next four five weeks. Yeah, like they come out and somehow when for all of a sudden, now you know they're probably sitting in the top for looking fairly safe for finals, but if they come out and win one or two, well, you know you're sitting down with the cowboys and dragons. So it's a big month for the time and it's a tough ass to win those some of the teams they play in the last five weeks. It's tough ask for any team the competition to win. Yeah, when against those teams secously great side at the moment. Yeah, playing really good footie. But yeah, thanks for joining me. Mat was missions pleasure. A really good season of man our footy so far. Highly recommend hunting. Gotta get around a fellows. I'm not sure I'm promoting a supporter. That's just direct out victorians. Yeah, what? Well, if a Victorian is got to like an hour and twenty into an RL podcast and doesn't watch NRL, yeah, because just a great bloke and you know, you'd hope they'd tune in soon. But yeah, really looking forward to this second half of the season. It's been a really good year so far. Although there are probably four or five teams that are just absolute drops, I think there is ten or eleven teams that are really exciting to watch, especially that top six or seven. There's been two or three really good games each week. So I'm really enjoying it at mode and I've made a bit of a comeback and tipping this month. Yeah, your five. Think the margin was out to eleven points and one point from first to me, and now it's downs as couldn't have been eleven. Yeah, maybe I'm putting may maybe a lot of men, nine or yeah, but now it's I think it's up to five, five or six, and I'm no longer in last. I've overtaken mom so laugh's good. I tip manly over the power. Probably the greatest issue in my life is late, late, they change for me. But yeah, that's pretty much all I've got. If you are listening, I don't really know what I want you to do. Just thanks for listening, for listening to this podcast. Yeah, just listen to the next episodes. But quite a diverse rangers process.
