Welcome back to the on the bald podcastanother episode of the best potty going around, and today we are here again tochat about some more NFL action. This week. It's a bit different, not goingto be doing an NFL fancy episode going to wait to do that with the boys in thecoming weeks. So I'm going to be doing a review and a preview all one. I haveoriginally filmed the the review on Tuesday afternoon and the file did not record, probably corrupted so.Unfortunately, I better do it again, so I'll be doing that and I'll becombining it with our preview as well. So it should be a good episode. It's anice warm spring day in Melbourne, so sor. If there's a bit of glare comingoff my tshirt or something tried to lower the glare coming off my laptopbut yeah I mean my son is kit, my stripes and most my cricket hat and I'mlove and life. So yeah NFL week, five was a good week, some very hectic games, but as usual going to go through my winners and losers, I did a nice littlesort of debrief of the round on Tuesday, but unfortunately, a lot of it has sortof gone over in one ear and out the otherat this point of the week. So I'll just begun through my winds and loses andthat might trigger some thought process, but my first win is obviously got to be thebuffalo bills. Massive prime time victory over the Kansas City, chiefsand you'd have to say right now. If we're looking at the Super Bowl, I'vestill probably got the chiefs as the favorite to be the AFC participant. But if we stop the seasonright now, buffalo definitely the number one seedand the issue is even if I think the chief might be better at that time ofthe year. If they keep going with this this rate, both teams, like the bills and the chief they keep going at this level. The bills are going to be locking in that number one spot they're going toget that week off and they're, going to have three home playoff games or tohome play of games. That can't count, but yes, two home playoff games leadinginto the super bowl, which would be a big, beneficial, a big benefit for themand could be the difference between them, winning or losing the ACchampionship game. So that's huge for them. They look like they've, reallymarried up there. Their last two seasons for the best possiblecombination really like they've, look got the defense from two thousand andnineteen that was one of the best of the camp. They've got the offense intwo thousand and twenty. That was one of the best in the COMP they've marriedto those two together and they're playing unbelievable football right now, apart from a week, one lost to the steel, as it's been a pretty muchflawless season since then, they force four turnovers from the chiefs in thisone, which is very, very rare. The chiefs have been pretty turn over proand so far this year compared to normal, but still the defense was definitelyapplying a lot of pressure. They had eight point one yards per play inattack compared to the chiefs, who, on the average five, so that's just acomplete demolition, are not even close, as the school board did ended upsuggesting and for the rest of the season. Their strength of schedule isthe second easiest league wide, so yeah right now that number one seed islooking very, very good and a home playoff run could definitely be on thecards for the Buffalo Bills, which would be huge for them and thefranchise. I just seeing the way they've built that roster, soimpressive, there's like no like obviously Josh Allens are very, veryquarterback, but there's no one. Absolute start. It's not like Green Bay,where there's arid rodgers, who you know if he plays bad. The team goesfrom exceptional to pretty awful pretty quickly. So I just love the way they've built theteam. They've got twenty two thirty, just really really solid players, someexceptional players and, as I mentioned,...

...like they're, not relying on one playerlike I'm, not really that worried if they have one injury at that, willobviously like Josh Allan getting injured but touch wood, but yeah. Idon't think like one or two injuries are really going to change the way thatteam plays where another team might really struggle to cover those injuries. They've got really good depth. They've also got the running game going thisyear, which they haven't in previous years. A single tarry in past yearshasn't really been able to get a going himself. So the combination this yearof a second year, Zac Moss, combined with a single terry, with a better oline. Yeah this I ing to run the ball, really really well Allan's running wellhimself, so yeah right now, Buffalo look good on pretty much all France andthey look like a scary proposition for anyone to come up against and you would have to say, like it's good, that they're fitthey're running a any good defense, because when it gets cold in buffalomight even stow they're just going to be a scary opposition. My secondbiggest winner is probably a road one, but I've got the Philadelphia Eagles. They had a huge comeback wind over the panthers held the Carolina offense toeighteen points, which has been pretty good to start the season. One point they were, according to theeast, being game cast. They were at a ninety one point four percent chance oflosing the game it was in Carolina as well as adds to the impressive feet.Herts didn't have a very good day at all. I think he had a QB rating of likethirty, but they still got the wind, which is important that it's importantfor a team to have multiple ways of winning this and the defense got the job done on thisoccasion and I'm not I'm not the biggest fan of Philly, butif their defense can keep playing like this, there attack has enough big playpotential, but they can produce some upsets like this one. They restrictedDonald to an eighteen point, four qb rating, which I think is one of theworst. You can get picked him off three times and they held the wrong game tothree point: six yards per play, which is pretty hard to do against thepanthers, so yeah big win for the Eagles and look I'm not the highest onthem, but the NF wild cod situation. Right now islooking very, very messy, obviously, with Russell Wilson's injury, theniners aren't looking great the N FC East teams. Apart from the eagles, don't look great either Washington and the giants are pretty bad. They've justbeaten the panthers, who would be one of their rivals for this? The sands ofdecent and then the NS north teams, the bears and Minnesota Vikings, don't lookgreat either. So I think if there's a team like Philadelphia who can reallystep up, they could definitely make the playoffs and go on a bit of a run for the rest of the season, because I'mpretty sure their rest of schedules are not that bad compared to the people inthat wild card race. I D be a ridiculous achievement, considering Ipredict them to win six games coming into the year, but I think they areplaying quite well next up. I have the Pittsburgh Steel is they had threehundred and ninety one total yards offense against the Denver, broncos BigBen average, sixteen yards per completion, which is just a massiveimprovement on the last really eighteen months, the offense has been strugglingpretty much the whole time and they've been averaging very low completion ratenumbers, because you know the they just haven't.Really. I don't know whether the or lines being poor or whether they'vejust not trusted big band, but yeah they've, just been a lot of shortpasses. A lot of check downs and it's good to see them airing it out a bitmore. He only got sacked once so. Clearly, the Oline did have a lotbetter game and they averaged four point two yards for carry which doesn'tsound immense but considering their averaging about three yards for carrythe last couple weeks. It's a big improvement for that or line and thewhole team keeping the Broncos to nine ten points is pretty much what weexpect from this defense. Really, we expect them to keep teens below twentyfive points on a regular basis and really their ceiling just comes up downto whether they're offense is good enoughto put up more than that so, and they showed this game that they definitelycan do that so...

...yeah, I'm not! I haven't been high onthe steels in the first month of the season, but if their defense can playlike this every week and their offense, can you know play good two weeks out ofthree all of a sudden. They might just wrack up enough winds to feature in theplayoffs the broncos went to for twelve on third down. So that's really wherethe game was one and lost Fer, either side, brilliant third down the fencefrom the steels, but that is pretty poor conversion from teddy and hisoffense. Our losers got to start with the KansasCity chiefs. I know they came against the very good buffalo bills team, butthey got annihilated at home and there's no two ways. You can say that s is just factual, I'm not tooworried about them. As I mentioned, I would still have them as my favorite tomake the Super Bowl from the AFC, but they're just not playing good right nowand in particular defenses. We got beginning to be a bit of a Warry, because in previous years, at times throughout the season, their defensehas been an issue and they've sort of always got it just good enough for theplayoffs. But at this stage it's going to be have to take a drastic change and they do have time to fix it.There's I think, twelve weeks left in the regular season. So that's a longtime, but the issue for them now is they're likely not going to be getting that number one seed andthey're not going to have that home avenge. They have had in previous years, which you know might be a bit of a shock to the system for them. They alsohave the second harder schedule remaining so further, emphasizing onthat fact that they're probably not going to get much home advantage in theplayoffs who knows they could even be a wild card team, but the way the chargeas are playing right now, which would just be ridiculous and something Iwanted to know. I'm not really a biggest believer in these sort ofpatterns in these trends, but something I did notice last year is a bit of acurse of a superbowl loser. Four of the last five superbowl losers have gone onto miss the playoffs in one of the following two seasons. Now don't get mewrong, I I'm not saying the chiefs are going to miss playoffs, but just sayingthere does seem to be a bit of a hangover from losing a sum ball, because you know you sort of gone so far yet come away with not much. I knowlike winning they c still very impressive, but people always say there's a hangoverfor winning the Super Bowl, and maybe it's actually a big, a hangover to loseit next up. We have the raiders, obviouslydon't want to get too much into it, but the biggest reason there in the losersthis week probably has to be John grudden getting sucked for his emailsthat were found to have discriminatory language towards a lot of people. It was obviously originally just the one email about the NFL playersassociation president and then an investigation found there was a wholebunch of them. There's rumors that there's a petition to get it released, which would be well. I don't know like it. I guess itwould probably actually don't know what whether that would be good or I like it,would slam him for the rest of his career, but he might deserve it. Basedon what was said so yeah, it's a tough situation because we don't really knowthe details, but that is the letter of the law that he has been sacked and bythe sounds it. That does seem justified. However, what's even worse for theraiders to console consolidate that L is that they lost to the bears at home, scored one touchdown only. I know it's a good bears defense, but this offenselook like one of the best in the first three weeks, and they did this exactsame thing. Last year they played really well in the first three weeks.People got excited and then they just went back to being the same old raters, who are probably going to win eight or nine games and miss out on the playoffsso yeah. This is definitely a concern for the raiders they're going forward without a headcoach, while they've got the assistant coach stepping up, but you know what Imean and they're not playing great. They haven't played great the last twoweeks. They averaged only four point: three yards per Plat, which is justreally really poor...

...and yeah. The home field is not lookingas intimidating as it did at the start of the year three point: two yards percarry on the ground so that really weren't getting much going in theground game and they had a hundred and eighty eight yards from twenty twocompletion. So around nine yards per completion, so they weren't gettingmuch going on the ground. They were being very conservative in the passinggame and they also gave away ten penalties. So yeah looked not muchreally went right for them. They did only keep the bears to twenty point. SoI guess the defense is still playing well, but their offense right now is definitelyconcerned because last week as charge as I think they only scored fourteenpoints as well, which is not going to be good enough down the stretch if theywere thinking about making a little wild card appearance. Finally, the seahawks of my third loser, obviously Russell Wilson out for around probablysix weeks, there's been reporter saying, is out for a month out for eight weeks,so we'll just go half and say six weeks. They are two and three as well. Theydon't have an easy strength of schedule coming up and they sit last in theirdivision right now. So that's really just enough to paint the picture forthe seahawks. It's not looking good at all. I think right now, the storylineof Russell Wilson's, looking ever more likely as this look like their sort of stagnating thisfranchise. Really the last three is hasn't been much progression. Ifanything, it's been regression so yeah really disappointing Russell Wilsonsaid he will only stay if they improve what's around him and the defense hasgotten worse. The weapons haven't improved and if he like, unless they Idon't know what could really swan. But if that was really his decision makingprocess, he wanted things to improve around and there's absolutely nothingto suggest that you should stay and I'll be honest. Just from offenseone of you I'd like to see im leave I'd like to see you go somewhere else, seewhat happens. The defense is just really really poor right now andthey're, a weird team, because you look at them and, like you, compare them tothe rams you compare to them to the box. You compare them to the chiefs and yousort of like question how they on the same salary cap, because they justdon't seem to have as many good players and sounds stupid but, like I waslooking at their salary cap and there's not really seemingly anyone who's likeon a massive contract that doesn't deserve it, but yeah right now, there's just seems tobe a lot of people who are may be earning a little bit more than theyshould be, and that's all that added up is not working well for these sea hawksand in the past it if in hasn't been great but their offense is sort of madeup for it, and that was not playing as well this year. The only thing in their favorite rightnow is the fact that, as I mentioned for Philadelphia, there's not many FCwild card challenges like it's, not looking like a very strong conferencewith very strong candidates, but yeah for gnomes to play for six weeks again, some tough defenses as well and if they make the players from here, will bepretty miraculous re covery for Pete Carroll's men right awards ofthe week. My Ns player of the week is going to go to devant Adams. Twohundred and six receiving arts from eleven catches was part of a Pakistanthat had a big win in over time over the bang wills had one touchdown areyou which that touchdown was the last touchdown that the pack of scored atthe end of the first half so yeah. This guy is just unstoppable. Really at thispoint, he's probably getting double t him pretty much every snap and he stillmanaged to find two hundred and six receiving yards. I know he's getting passes from probably the bestquarterback in the COMP, but he is also himself probably the best receiver inthe COMPSA yeah. It's just a nasty Jeo to come up against for any defense andit's really hard to hold him to anything less than ten catches. Ahundred and fifty yards at this point he's an absolute freak and he just canget open in any situation. He was obviously part of the whole field.Gulls fiasco. I think there was five Miss Field goals, Cross Ministry, MCperson miss to it's, not Mc Ferson,...

...think about what you are saying:Americans. It is mick person, but anyway devant Adam Tennessee playerthe week. Also she hated to Tom Brady, who had a blind against the dolphins. As player the week, I've gone with Lamar Jackson, thirty seven completionsfrom forty three attempts. Four hundred and forty two passing yards for a manwho apparently is not good at passing. The ball for passing touch down. Sixtytwo rushing yards led the ravens to one of the craziest comebacks. I've seenculture up to a ninety eight point: four percent chance of winning. That'sjust outrageous, like you think about that that game gets played a hundredtimes and the algorithms are saying the ravens win one and a half time so yeahthe fact that we got to see them do it is just ridiculous. They were downtwenty two to three at that point after Lamar's fumble in the third quarter hewent off or for on touchdown drives and yeah. It was just absolutely incredible.Come back from him and he looks like a bit of a new man this year, the firstyear he was pretty much just a running back last year they tried to converthim into more of a passer with running back likethreat, but the passing game just wasn't there, and this year they looklike they've, successfully, converted him for the better, and he looks likean obsolete, lute weapon right now, Justin Herbert also shout out. He had ablinder himself led the charters to an amazing shoot out victory over theCleveland Browns and his performance was very, very impressive. I have had to move inside, not sure the podcast well bit weird there in thelast couple minutes. My laptop overheated, it was too hot, apparently, which we love to see, and I was up to offensive rookie of the week which I'llgive to Nagi Harris absolutely had a blinder for the steel is, as he hadsort of a year, he's been playing pretty well in a poor offense, but thisweek the offense was better and he was a big reason behind that he was ahundred and twenty two yards or twenty three cars with one touchdown twentyyards from two receptions as well in the air s. He was part of a big wind, didn't even finish the game actually with cramps and they actually loved yousnap count, which was quite interesting, but I reckon that might a bit provedbeneficial. There's not many guys realistically, who can play you know, eighty five plus and the amount of running back injuries are. I don'tactually think it's worth it. So I think you actually get increasedefficiency when you decrease some of their snap counts. I think that's.SMART Footy from the Steel is coaching panel. The Honorable Mentions KadareTony, obviously, he's probably the main one, but the reason I didn't go with him. It wasthe fact that he got swallied at the end of the game. Also, he was part of aloss. So I like to to people who are parable, win Jamaca same thing, part ofa loss called pits. He had a really really good breakout game as well. Hewas close and Davis Mills actually had a pretty good performance against aimpressive New England Patriots, Defense Defensive Play of the weekDarius slave for me, not really that close Dorman James and evison griffinwere both good Doran James. However, he was part of a team that conceited aboutforty two points, but he had a good individual game and evison griffin wasgood as well, but Doris sleigh up against the panthers had one tackle fora loss. Two interceptions played a hundred percent of defensive snaps, help dj more to forty two yards, which has been a rare feet this year, bronsbeen conceding about a hundred and twenty tohim a game and they won the game eventually, and a lot of it was off theback of those two crucial interception. So yet dare say for me back to hisprime form: Where is one of the best quarterbacks in t the competition? Hewas our defensive player of the week...

...for this one, all right, preview timedon't have curtises predictions in at the moment, as he is back to work whichwe love to see. But do you have men pilchers, so we'll be running itthrough them. My sure bet of the week is being piledto actually on the same here I've Gone Kansas at Washington, Kansas by Ibacked in Kansas by eight, and that was my largest margin for the week andthey're, paying it all thirty, four and yeah. I just think it's really like. Ithink I've tipped Kansas before for a bounce back victory and they didn't butyeah Washington playing pretty too bad right. Now they got pump by the saintsand they only just beat the falcons the week before the chiefs have had apretty tough run of fixtures, and I think this is a bit of a breather forthem where they would just come out and put up forty points and show the worldthat they're still the one of the favorites for the Super Bowlupdate in the shaw bet: Standings, I'm still under feated just and far fromfour pulters four from four as well and Curtis is fire from six, so pilch gonecancer as well interested to see who curtis goes for upset of the week. I amcurrently three from four, so is pilch and Curtis is two from seven, so he Ihe's got some catching up to do once again in Pilch have gone the same,we've gone charges of Baltimore. I'll, be honest. I did by tips this weekthere, obviously because of the by there's fourteen games and I onlyactually tipped one upset which is not going to that's not going to happen, but that's just the way I tipped and we are the only one we both back towardscharges of Baltimore. Now this Mattos are great becauseBaltimore a run heavy offence and the charges are really really bad againstthe run. I think there might be the worst defense against the run on thecompetition, as we saw last week and, however, saying that the Ravens runninggame hasn't been great right now, the Mars definitely leaning on the path, alot more and the running back situation has sort of called up to them. A bitlatebras Murray he's had a couple good games, but you know he's not the sameas jk Dobbins and guss Edwards and that sort of stuff, so yeah and TysonWilliams has sort of been frozen out of the offense at the moment. So, whoknows they should, if they're, SMART, Baltimore they'll go back to a lot morerunning, plays and go to a run fish game, but we'll see how they that goesand hopefully the charge is sort of like they have got to understand thatthat's a weakness by now and that they can address that and the childersoffense is absolutely humming right now and the Baltimore D it's playingdecently, but it's not as freaks as he once was. So I can see this being a bigbig game like I could see the charge is winning- maybe thirty, six to thirtythree or something. What have I actually tipped the charges to win byI've Tippin to win by two so yeah? I think it's going to be close, but forme this is the most likely upset and pile just gone the same thing on thespread side of things we are at arm at forty three percent, six from fourteenpilchers killing us at sixty eight percent. He is seven and a half fromeleven and Curtis is struggling three from nine at thirty three percent byones this week. I'll be honest, I'm not really. The biggest fan of any of themost of my tipping margins were quite similar to the lines offered by thebook makers, but this week I've gone with the giants to cover at the ramslook. This depends heavily on the injury front for the giant Sake, one'spretty much guaranteed our gold, a I don't think we'll play. So it's amatter of whether like shepherds slate and come back and obviously if DanielJones plays if Daniel Jones is ruled out. I probably don't back this spreadthat much, but if Daniel Jones plays I do like it. The giants. Defence Yeah-it's not playing great right now, but it's certainly not awful. The ramstheir offense has been sort of starting the last couple of weeks. They haveplayed some better teams, but yeah. I could see like nine and a halfa pretty big line, so that's really...

...where the logic comes in and the giantsoffence if Danil Jones plays, has been playing pretty well recently. So Ithink they've got enough points in them to keep it close. I have tipped therams to win by where other rams on my list. I've got them to end by six, soI've got them covering just and then my other one. I've got three here. I'vegot lost begas to cover against dembal once again, not huge on this one, obviously, with the whole coaching fiasco, it's also in Denver which I'mnot a fan on, because it's a big home ground advantage for the Broncos. However, Denver have not looked great the last two weeks and neither have theraiders but you'd have to say the raiders have sort of play. Actually, Idon't even seen this play better opposition, but anyway, I think theraid is maybe have a little bit of a bounce back game. I've got it veryclose to, however, the line is three and a half. I have got Denver to win byone, so I've Gott Denver winning head to head, but the raid is to cover and Iwould not be surprised if the raiders on the game had to head it. Adivisional match up as well, so they're always a little bit more unpredictable, but yeah right now. Denbar theve massive injury toll and even though theraiders have a head coach out, I think they could cover that line. Then, finally, I've got Tennessee to cover against buffalo another one, I'm notthat confident in. I don't really like backing other dogs to cover as much asI like backing favorites to win by more than the handicap. I've got Tennesseeto cover five and a half. I've got buffalo winning bath. Three, I justthink Tennessee is always a tough matchup for teams, because it's veryunusual to face you know a Dere Kenroy, who has thirty five carries orsomething like that face a team who will still run the ball if they're tenpoints down so yeah, and hopefully they get some of their players back.Hopefully, AJ brands a bit healthier this week. Hopefully Holi comes backand that could go a long way into this prediction coming true. It's alsoTennessee home game. Tennessee haven't been playing unreal of late, so yeah, Ithink maybe buffalo they've had their big win. We've seen it a couple timesalready this year, like we've seen it with Baltimore, I think the week afterthey beat the chief their next week, wasn't great, so maybe buffalo thatthey maybe they saw that as their sort of super bowl. They come in underestimate the tines and it's a close fine. So I've got Tennessee the coverfive and a half pitch. He has gone the giants cover as well. He is gone thechiefs to win by more than six and a half against Washington. I don't mindthat one at all, I've got the chief to win by eight, but definitely could seeit being big. I just think Kansas they're going to be thirsty to showthat they're still one of the best teams in the competition and some someof the you know. Some things just haven't been go on their way like onagainst the bills. Their receivers were dropping balls that they would neverdrop and they ad a running back intro during itwith cliders alar going down so yeah. Maybe this is a bounce back game forthem they put up forty Washington's offenses that good. So I could see themwinning by more than six and a half and in similar vein of things, he's goneThursday night football, which I don't like predicting on because they usuallyunusual games, but he has gone Tampa Bay to cover against the PhiladelphiaEagles. He has got tempered to win by more than seven. It is in Philadelphiaand Philadelphia did have a decent winning inst the eagles, my onlyagainst the panthers. The only thing I think pill might be thinking here isTampa's offense. Is that good? They might score like thirty five class, andI don't think the eels Eagles have that in their locker. So I could see thethinking behind that one. However, I don't like backing Thursday nightfootball and Philadelphia coming off a decent win and the defense is lookinggood right now. So it's an interesting one from him. One thing I will feel inout about pitches. I don't know if this is a coincidence, but he's a giant fanand he's back giants to cover and then he's back the Washington football teamand the Philadelphia Eagles to get...

...destroyed. So maybe is betting up withthe heart and not the head there, but anyways that's his predictions. Sadly,we don't have curtises right now the man's working hard. So you can't blamehim. I have not done the TV schedule for Australier because I have beenrushed to do this since the review didn't upload properly, but that's beenit for another on the ball podcast. I know this week's a bit different. I'vechanged location, my laptops almost died from being too hot, so I'm notsure if the footage is a bit weird half way through, but thanks for joining me.Let me know your predictions four weeks, six in the comments or in my instagramdams, and we will catch you next week.
