ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Hamish's brother, Lachy, once again joins On The Ball however this time, he's the subject of a sports themed interview conducted by Hamish.

OCHIS iwelcome back to episode ten ofthe on the ball podcast. It is, as I dist mentioned, the tenth episode so afairly special one. To me. Personally, I did not think I'd get to tewn Ol I'dmaybe get to like three and then hang the boots up. I guess I could probablythink isolation to that, but once again joined by last episode, guests, locky mccocodil, the host of the watcher podcast welcome Allo Overun. It's a good o heave. YouBACKMA YEA star performance on the last one. I thought probably picked the bestside, so yeah thet, mayhe I'll, give it to you play yeah, no know it yourself today I's just going to be a generalchat, really I've kind of been interested in doingthese kind of episodes where I just interview ther like family or friends, but because it's the Ontebale, podcast and th most episodes are about sport. Most of the questions are going to be sport related, but yeah. It's not goingto be anything like too deep. Just going to get to know bit about yoursporting life really so can't see why we can't just get straight into itreally. So, let's just start with an easy one. What is your favorite sport actually give me your favorite sport, but also Iwant your top three in order. Reggia League's my favorite sport. Do you want me to explain on ir? Isthat yeah, just ju you can just o know I just like O knowwell. It's alwaysbeen a part of our lifes. I can remember watching back the firstmoment, so ICAN remember, watching Rabe League G, like two thousand and three ofour thes pictures of Dud taking Ito Games. When I was, I don't even think Iwas one or whatever it's probably been one constant in mylife is going to hug beleague matches in watching Robyou League, and I just love all the aspects of the game. I love theplaymaking, a bit abilities of the harts and the part ballpassing andrunning, and just the big boys like just seeing Idon't know just the contact and everything I just think it's a tactically underrated game and I justlove like the tactical side of the sport and then I'd say my next to cricketwould be second eve played it. Since I was ten, absolutely love cricket, it's prettymuch. The high logt of each so remember, just watching watching cricket all summer, justliterally watching first session two hours andgoing out lunch playing backyard cricket then come back when it's backome watch two hours and go play. BACKOUR CRICKET AND WATCH THEM PLAYBACK OU careetr. That was like the holidays to me. Well for us, and then third thirds basketball. For me, which isonly like a recent thing over the past couple F years. I think, since like twothousnd and fifteen, maybe I started getting into basketball and I've really like a touch to the sport. Ithink it's just a really interesting sport. It's different to the ones t atfollowed previously, because it's only Fav Erside. So there's more owne us ona single player, which I I think it's quite cool, how one player could sortof go all right like I need to win this for my side, yeah and they can justsort of take over and Domina, which yeah, I think it's pretty cool allright! That's interesting! I'm notreally surprised by though I probably would have. Actually I guess you have football's football'sjust outside. I guess you have Fike Crel Lif, Bu'm kind of surprised, waitwhen you made that decision. Do you think about playing it as well or strictly watching? Well well, for mecrickets always like because I've always played it. So that's alwaysthat's always part of it. But if you had to go, if you have to watch one sport for therest of your life and play one sport for the rest of your life, but youcan't watch any more than one and play any more than one which ones would ypick. I'd watch rug, be league and I' probably play re. Oelly fight cricket TAT's, a yeah.Well, if I was Goo to Bostell play basketball butball, not very good! Well, you never trod I ma Oul be so your chain about those memories. You have inlike two housand, an three o four, I'm assuming that your earlies sportingmemories yeah there's I can picture day andCagoli in the. I don't know if you remember the house, but the front room,I think Mein double there watching manly can't re who they're playing waslike an Armo game and they were playing is like Oh four or three o four. That'slike the earliest memory. I've got a rugby league, but then there's alsopictures of me games when I'm like a year Ilwatching Balmaine so which is pretty...

...cool, yeah Atslu, never never saw boutmane, unfortunately yeah. I like I on T, obviously don't remember because I waslike I think I was like ten or eleven months year, t ten or eleven months old,but it's a pretty cool like thing doing you flicking through the photo albumsand I'm just like a little baby with e Boutmain Jersey on his. I think it'spretty cool yeah. What is the sport that you've played that you have enjoyed the least like you just neverhave an interest in playing that sport competitively again. I don't know because all the ones I'veplayed competitively arc. I've really enjoyed it in Lik. If there is potential that I might ploylike, I probably won't but, like I wouldn't mind, playing like like socceragain and all that stuff Li plan, a couple as here and theyre like bit ofunion, I don't know it'd be more likeathletics and Shit like that when we used to do athletics, like I probablywouldn't do that again, just because I'm not yeah just because like likeit's fun when Youe like twelve and stuff, but now I'd only be like down todo like sprints like anything over two hundred or hundred meters of Yo like nait's not my boys, Utyeah it'd probably be athletics but Yeah Guy, like a Lo Al, there was areason like I play those sports because I C enjoyed them so yeah, the e o Ye asYouwurl just turn about soccer cub gas. I just thought F something there shouldbe like a league in winter and there's like five sports and you play like fourmatches of each sport and en not abod idea, because, like I'm, the same likea few of my mates would know the last couple years in terms of soccer, Ihaven't committed til like roundfol yeah, like I just not really interestedin playing four months of one sport, except for cricket, but yeah I'd be actually interested inthat because, like I actually do want to play Ruggby League, but I don't wantto play a whole season yeah it's I don' play a couple matches and then soccerI'd love to just play three or four matches of winter yeah. The other thingis regularly. Is Sports I'd love to play it again, but I don think I willjust because won playing a white man's Com. Well, yeah, it's slike! Some ofthe guys are come up against just so buddy big, it's just like. If you don't like go tothe gym all the time and stuff you kind of struggle, it's like defent, likeTryi, to back, tackles on the big what bops in, like you, actually you're,pretty sorry oft or the Games, which I don't mind being so like. I think it'spretty. I love being sort aftor games, but YEAHPA little fear factor the bigbig Polonasians round in the EUS. All right, I cary. If you had the abilityto become professional sportsman in any sport, ifyou're, choosing, which wawould it be, I've got to same money, money asidemoney I sae paid because Iwise, I think I'd go rug.Beleague, yeah, just ecause whet I'm trying to play for the Tigers would besick like hat over and then obviously you get. If you're goodenough, you get the opportunity to play origin which ivlways that's one of myfavorite sporting ementa state of origin. It's just soricand, it's socool! Just getting out there getting to represent your state in this like it'slike a quite a unique ravelry. I think yeah, where it's like rep football, but repsport doesn't necessarily have the rivalries that like club Fhot, he doesor club sport does. So I think it's always. I think it's like a uniquething how and also like the whole Itjeniqin, howit's just two separate states, but like those two states, that's like allthey're watching that night, like people Ik, don't watch Magbi Leaguewatch state of origin, even down in Malbourne L K, some People Watchcharlins that you so mymates. Even People Watch it and it's JST, like it'sjust cool. I remember just like the emotion of like following the game andthen you go to school and stuff and like when we went to school in Brisemanlike you just be getting lipped off at school and like had a few mates who didsupport fals and Tas, like a bit of like traubelismd sort of thing yeah, which I the think was cool and, like obviously iric and representing Yorstate in front of eighty thousand people aidsore than like fifty five at son clubs. Pretty like it's a prettyir cing. It bea pretty cool thing and then you see some of the magical things that happenthere and just the atmosphere of the Games is its incredible ROK and yeahnew SAA, as probably the team I'm most passionate about. I think what whatabout you? What's the team or country in a sport that when you watch ityou're like most passionate I'd, say the West Tigers Yeah just because theyve always like it'sjust nattually, be part of my life think and then butt. I think I'm morepassionate about it. I when I was younger, I think when I was like, liketwelve thirten years old I'd like would watch it, but I don't think I wouldreally like get into it too much, but I think that changed Lort of Wen me movedto Melbourne and then, when I started playing union at school, I got right into it.Probably, AH probably be that but like I'v also passed about new sevalers, butI' take the Tigers just because it's a like Yo passion about the blues forlike six weeks of the year, whereas the Tyger I six five six month, thing Oeah for me.That probably, is the reason why I'm more apassionat about the blues, though, because it's like a three time event: each year whereit's like, I know...

...like I love the tags and stuff, butthere's twenty six round. So it's kind of like each match is a bit lessimportant, tha an origin in my opinion because like if you lose to originswhile you fose series yeah, that's trud away for another year, that's true, butI yeah I ju shout th Queen Sandes up, take the results of the Tigers more andlike I'll, get more pride out of it like the Tigers playing well than thetwo ail to shit tea yeah. I know it's been pretty rough, APETO GONTA say yeah.Maybe we appreciate winds for the Tigers, more ECAUSE, theyre, shittingthet. I was like o what the poice Shit as well yeah, and I mean just as wellrase like since I started following baseball like the rockets, has sort ofbecome like my second, like club team, like I like aFoll, a lot of sports and but they'd be like theyd start big starting to get upthere. I think as well. Do you find it like similar to what Iwas say about theblues and the Tigers? Do you find it harder to be as passionate about asingle match for them, given that they play eighty two matches Ar Ohit's slackno ecause like I can still get up like I passionately. I can still like whutI'm supporting these teams. I could like, if it's a shit game, I can stillget up for it. Yeah and you know, because you just alwayswant like I just always want them to win like I don't cop them losing really.I just want every time I support like to win at Lik, no matter what so yeah I coan always get into it,especially like it's always good jode, becauseyou're also sort of barraking for the play. Well. I know this Bass Wut you'rebarrking, for the players to play well, like I like James Harden, I know he'snot universally loved or anything but like I want to see him do well liketo prevous Cretle critics, Rong and all all these haters and stuff so like Iwant to Se Ando well every much so that's sort of like that's anotherthing, inbassible and the same with like be league. I guess you want to seelike the players that you love play. Well, like you, don't really want them to play shit so that sort of thate keepsyou in it as well. Yeah Iis James Harden your favorite sports person.Right now. I don't know I've got a weird definitywith Michael Jordan and that's I like never obviouslywatched him playend, that's sort of happened before the dock OAS. Well, like I've read some of his book and I've watched some of his past Games andall that, but current player would probably be probably be like James Hard orlukebrooks. I thing from the Tigers Yeah, the two: Does I lash to a messageto be hon yeah, I love messy, but I've always like yeah he's always been there.I've always loved him as well. But U, I don't know like if I was to pick tothat I'd take Hardenin books, I think ha mess. You would probably be nexther's your favorite cricketer of all time because you haven't is you secondfavorite sport BV mentioned Crickea Yeah Wel, it's Wei's a weird one, because that's like it's almost been a year round thing wel when I was younger so and because there's its like Australiacricket in Australia when, like the national teams, here, it's not likeJunn most of the time, it's not great, like we usually smack the oppositionexceptif its like Inyour England, or something Bab when ino comes out, sometimes wesMashin, so i'Mhot like as passionately supportive of the team itself, but Istill love watching it. Soi probably say, though, that myfavorites were Clarky, I think of all time. Yeah Mik Cli is remember when hewas like in that extreme, when it was in that rich venof form late, twothousand and Leven twelve thirteen. It was just awesome to watch yeahrememberw. We used to have hes bad yea he's bats. I had twoof his bat othing yeah and obviously, when we startiincricket, he was like O, Yellow and red one. I caN'tememr W T was called. wasthat a Slov and job yeah? I use that for season or two yeah, and now nosthe, blue and yeah. We gbe J, three of us get the blue one even then came intoyeah we gotta Fli Christas like fucky Ye, so stu yeah, because, obviously, when we started following cricket, he was coming through yeah, that's trueactually, and he so I've God some of his innings in someof his moments in his career, I've alwaysstuck N my minds, bowing, which is good yeah th t that one against Indi warsticks to my mind. What what's your favorite men, Pilshitapodcast on this, the very first one yeah? But I I know it's a bit of atough one to ask on the spot because it took me like a day to think of my topfive. But what is your favorite sporting moment of all time? So we'retalking like a vent or lo ament, like Mak somthe, crazy happen somethingsmalle than ten minutes. Well I'll. Give you a few nomines and irpick so the first one is obviously the state of origin last year which we'relike enough to be at where Todey's go. Scores. Ind, like the last ten seconds, win the game which was nuts wey. Are you doing live or justanything? Oh, so it's not live or just craz sin. San T, oh well, I'll go! Youcan do both okay, so I'll. Give you I'll give two of my best lives, sothat's up there and then the other ones that central coast prisman rawgrandfather yeah, which is crazy, but I'd take the bluesbecause I suppor the Boyce. So I take...

...your bloys over that and then ones thatI haven't seen live but was watching it at the time. Therwere Cai shot from last years, one of them yeah I'l. I couldn't believe thatactually happened and then yeah. That was up there for me and I didn't evencare about basketball. So probably this one is on the negative side for me,but living pool second lage against Barcelona and Champions League yeah. That was like traumatizing to watch as like a bit of a Bassa Fan, so it waskind of like pretty hard to watch, especially cofhing up a three no ledbut yeah. So I'd take the I o Tknowis like all recent stuff, but that quite I likan never see. I don'tthink I've ever seen anything like that. Choi, yes, a quis shot. That was crazy. What about? What's your favorite sporting event? You've been to there's two of tha: STICK IN MY MEMORY: Ol Three! So there's the two thousandand five pole r final, the tiges dragons yeah, it's my earliest memoryin life. Oh really! Wi! I don't know. I think I have a couple vague memories ofChs and four, but I can't remember t much like I remember kind of what Ouprimary school. An caltegoliy looks like and a little bit of our house, butthat's kind of the first clear one, but it wasn't actually the anything aboutthe RECGULA. It was just our cousin, bopeop Don yeah, so that'd be out there just because oflike that's the Olhy time. I've seen theTigers play finals puttdy, and it was the first time that theyd got TOA grandyeah live first time they got into grandfidel in six. Was it sixteen years since Balmanyea sixteen years since belme made it, and it was just like crazy to seeeveryone just like, because I was like ten five minutes left and you just knewthat they were going through and it was like everyone's just Gong crazy yeah dad talks about that. YEATHAT's talkhetalks very fondly about that and it' say the President's Cup last yearis probably the best one a beeach Hil Soi didn't expect have like. I lovelike I started getting Ti. The golf recently like last started playing oerthe last year, andstarted watching it a bit and like that's that was awesome. Yea Man.I think I went three of the days yeah at the moral Melbourne Yeah and it waslike it was just so cool I can just seenglike tiger and stuff as well, but you just like walking around like you couldbe watching any random golfers, like you o drink in a couple of beers yeahand we had family friends down as well. So Ias like a m pretty good, and it'slike a great it's like great atmosphere. There I don't know maybe Drackin, like the Australian fans, made itbetter, because I honestly I don't mind golf ever like I'vewatched the writer cup and the masters in the past and like being imfatuatedby both, but I thought live. It was going to be Averg te best and it wassick. Like that's probably my favorite, I sort of expected a little bit likethat, because I've seen it does get rotof quite a bit like especially theyea seein that on TV, but I didn't expect it to be anything like it wasIkei was pretty cool yeah like it's almost like Someroy, all just Bein. There yeah this crazy. When, like I don't know, even though it's kind oflike I don't really rate it, how they're quiet like it's like in tennis, like if theyr on just talks, it wouldn't matter, but it's kind of coolwhen, like everyone goes quiet, and then you see the shot and theneveryone's like cool. I think it's like cool how it's likeit's almost like. A respect is paid by like this yeah fans. Tat a ter to theGods, a like, like will give him some quiet, but as soon as hitis the balllike people to start on nuts yeah. It was like the perfect mixture between, like tennis and like rokbille yeah, it's COO, because it's like tennis, everyone's respectful and stuff, but they make you be too respectful to thetpoint where it's like a bit ridiculous, Lisoin Yeah. I got o the great memorylike mean Yma. One of my mates were there on the Friday and, like tiger wasliterally like he put a ball into the crowd. SFEET like ran over to the balllike tiger woods was literally standing like two meturs for us, and we werejust like this yeahing cool eys. It's like one of the like the greatestathletes of all times, just like right. There, like Wittha Iwas reach, almostyeah. I, like I remember the Sunday like the Saturday morning, was reallycool because there was when I went there, wasn't that many people thereyet because it was like eight o'clock but yeah the Sunday afternoon was sickbecause yeah and like saw heaps of celebrities and stuff yeah, becausethere was like a rollix markit or something and tit was like this balconyand there was like sort of like five celeberties on you just chatting on theBALCON just watching tiger yeah, it's credible and like I probably didn'teven appreciate it, that much but seeing tig woods, pretty cool likedon't think no I've seen Roger but don't think I've seen anyone of such ahigh calbor play yeah es. Definitely the moon for most famous APLATOOF, thesame live yeah but yeah. No, that was Alat. You've talked about Rugkpyleague, beingyour favorite sport. So I'll just ask you some questions about righ be leguein particular,...

...so you said: lukebrooks is yourfavorite player right now, yeah? Who is your favorite recculeague player of alltime? Favorite of all time, it's probably AF TOR, say BenjieMarshall. I think MOS, like similar reasons, is Clarkylike when I started watching it et was like coming just coming through yeah, and I can remember some of the things o used to do. I canremember some of the things even thoug was so young, like six years old orsoing in thousand and five. I can still remember some of the things he used to do in thefield like. I can remember the try set. U Begins Te Shark when he steps pastlike six people yeah. I can remember where I was on that day, like what we're doing and things likethat and then just to watch him turn into the playerhe became was pretty cool. And then you just had like this guy who was regardedthis playen, the ill playing for Yourd club and he'd always been he's like a he'd,always bee it, your club, it's not like they went out and bord them or anything, and then he turns into bhest play. And then you start making finals again inlike two thousand and tend eleven and like to see them actually like playreally because obviously they haven't been back sence in the finals, but it'sjust really. It was really cool to see him like lead the boys but thet od Wena bit sour a few years later, when he left hi progbby and then play forlihe the dragons ofthe bronchos, but then to come him to see him come back, was pretty cool S.Liri is like come home yeah it's coming home to finish his career, even thoughhe did that feel like it was less sounding. That is that a wordsoundyeon know: Itas aring thin, yes, less souring than Robbie FA, Robbi Farres was o. Why they, because I was pretty UNTE. I guess, because Mbenji left to go to anothercode first, so maybe that yeah thos a I oul, beless OFA, debarce yeah, that's true yeah yeah he's probably my favorite of alltime, but I love like I love like guys like Todesko as well, like I know, there's some people like that. Dad doesn't like him, but Um. Hey be up,there is like one of my favors of all time as Welli, so but yeah Benji Benjetakes the cake. What's WHO's the best player you'veever seen, the best thebest Wari was saying, probably probably jt Joe Thurston yeah. I thinkjust me just gun like just that's all I can sayreally gunplayer. One thing that sticks out the most for me is the Thingis twothouder and sixteen fihtwas in the finals, and he did that, like, I think, Morgan scoed baby and he did like the flick past Morgan. It waslike an extra time or soething like just like flick. Pastter morgans, crazy, yeah he's we's a great player to watch. I remember when he used tolip off the refts as well. He was like real angry dude. You still like tollthem episode the rest to get Ain Shit Yeah. I O around. Don't even know whenthat happened but, like I feel like he just went from a dicket to good blo, because you could hear it and like the reftmark, and you could just hear himlike spraying, the Rafli, Colum and ffit, and all this stuff is like Ohyeah, that's right used to, like I sarl used to think it's a bit of a Grub, butan he sort of changehis image abit but yeah. He was like always the man and to do it for the cowboys when theyneeded it. Someone to do it like played a lot of finals fordy with the cowboysand then obviously with Queensland son, some pretty like spectacular thingsplaying for Queensland and you always just hated to see m lining up begainsyou in origin, yeah. If there was one thing you could changeabout robilly. What would you change change the interchangerule? What wouldyou change to? Well, eventually, I think you'd get tothe stage where it's like football. When they come off, that's it Ye B. Ithink you'd have to gradually do that by reducing inte change by like twoyears, so that the players could gradually get fit over fit over thecourse of few years yeah cause. I just think this guys, like Nelson, nothingagainst Nelson aself. o Solomon, like I think, is good player but, like I thinkthose players not necessarily the most skilful football, is but theyre, justbig yeah, Lik Theyre, just these big guys that play thirty five forty etsagame so big in their fi yeah, from what I've heard about ruggy league inthe past when they used to have used to be when you go off your iht flick, apparoently, the last fifteen minutes as Chao slace, because all the youngerfite guys no younger but like all the smaller fet of guys, would be able tolike get in there and actually make a difference to the game which I think makes it excite makesmakes it exciting, obviously opens up like he last fiften minutes of the game, which swould be pretty cool to watchthese days, especially with some of the skillful skilled, skillful players thatwe've got. I the League, now yeah, but I think it'd be interestingas well, just because there's like forwards, like payintars and stuffcoming through play like eighty minutes anyway, so it wouldn't bother thoseguys but it'd be cool to see. I think Youd'd like sort of get rid of some of these big Bobbeers, though, which would be kind of good for the game because they just like playthirty five minutes, a game which is like even play off of the game. It'skind of bizarre but yeah, that's...

...probably the one thing, I'd change, which obviously in turn, hopefully creat it more and exciting andentertaining product yeah. That's nouth, tbat, rug, relly I'll,just chak a few hypotheticals tat he! So if you could go back to one sportingmatchl event of all time, whenever you want whatwould you go back and watch mels in the pals? No, would me Malifi,I love to be n, the crow actually could AC bcause. You probably be twentypercent chance oping coming to punch the face I it'd probably be like. I would have loved to watchMichae Jordan play, but if I was to pick one apparently the ninety eightgame, six of the fmbeo fins is incredible. Like I don't know, ifyou've seen the footage because it hasn't been shown yet so he gets to late. So this is like thelast minute so they'e down. I think they might be down my few points, ARDsoyhing, but he gets the layer. So he gets a ball run straight through layerand then so. Bvisy is the last game. BFOR IT retires yeah and then you talget the ballback theye taking it down, and then he strips he steals a ball ofOtin cam alone then takes hit back up and they're like down by one, maybe orit scores level, and then he drives uck to the paint and like stops and Thaksort of pushes the guy off and then, like that's the intro shot when he'slike jumping up and they like cut it and th you like jumps up and then bangputs it in like together, wind iheard, that's like crazy sequence, just likein your career on is that the last Mattheseri yeah, that's the last MECbefore he retires the second retirement but yeah I from what I've heard peoplein like some American journays talk about how that's just for a guy who's was regarded asthe best evir. To finish. Ot Not note like that. It is pretty like it's likealmost like a story. Yes, it's like a fairy tail lending, almost yeah Mobescript, ind of thing, so that would be pretty cool and then that yeah, that's probably the the tough e Ganlid pick yeah. There'sbecause there's obviously a lot of things I'd like to go to. I have noidea what I I'm gonna see like yeah. I would have there's games like sort of like the Ofive game. Two instead of origin with like Andrew Johns, plays like a greatgame. Yeah, that's more just because you put it in like a incredibleperformance rather than like a moment like a more of a special moment likethe Jordan one, I guess maybe two thousand and fifteen in our ogramfinal yeah. They would have been called about, but it's like the same as allthe sporting moments that, like I've watched on TV like the Chai shot like Iwould have liked to have been yeah such a cool, I'm trying to think of like aWorld Cup final, but giyls going to say Ingo winning in it was sixty or sixty six sixty six andbut then I was thinking the crowds would have been so different back. Thenthey probably wouldn't have ee yeah like Ratti the the twohousand six SOM would have beenweird just because it was like a weird game as well like Yo. Had Thak wisitonhit the cross bar and stuff penalty and then get sent off like the Spain nettleones, one would have been cool o within. He has to Screnn Exta time that wouldha been sick. I just Don, I remember, went not twenty Scole that bs Ba yeahyeah, so I was getting on to spa n the eve Hilture, I'm doing a painful, mostpainful suporting moments and I've just realized Australia, evleto and the sixHaus to be in there. Oh Yeah Yeah Anyway, another hypothetical. If out of anyone, who's currently playing sport. If you could see one person play live, who would be Lebron? James, Oh was the bronz Jamesandle ssye would be war to just because they're too, at the peakof the powers, yeah they're, both probably the best players in theirrespective sports, both two of the greatest of all time, their respective sports. I think it would just be ijust, be cool just to see like theaura and the presence of the two different players like they're, bothdifferent sort of athletes, as well like persona personalities likeLabron's bit, more of an outspoken dude Erwas, like messys sort of like quietjust like goes under the radar just makes his makes his football to thetalking which I' just tar in that Barcelona. I think it's O, like theCanadian that Flix a Sain, the bar loner docco. I think I watch twoepisodes and you just like started getting insight into just who e is, asa person is Tah. It's pretty pretty cool, just to see these guys and justlike a candid sort of in acandid way, wher ther sort of just like a normal, almost just theye, well out theyre, just like normal plocs off the Fel, butthen when they come on the field ar like when they're in public they're,just like these superstars, so they'd be like the two I'd probably put messy actuallyover the Bron. Just because I like Jus, got a lot bessy but they'd be the twodudes like. I would love to see yeah and if you could see one not obviously not a player, becausethat's what we have tostas you, but if you could go see one sporting event like fin for the rest of your life, like as in Sov phrase very badly. Is...

...there one sporting event that, likewhat's the Pon event that you would most like to go? Watch, that's a good question. I'vive been an NRO gram padal andsomeone whos Lov mobilig as much as I have like, as long as I have isprobably up there just to go to one of the grandfathers, but that probablywon't happen till the Tigers make it hopefully soonish, which probably Wain't happen anyway. But U champions like Finwall, be up there, just because of the atmosphere andstuff and then probably probably like an NBO fillers game. SoI'm actually because we've meade an the NBA but I'veapparently like the intensity andjust the atmosphere and the feeling of a finals or playoff Gameis, prettycrazy yeah and the good thing about those ones compared to other finals. There, like homegrounds yeah and were like, for example, the AFL gram. Finalthere's a hundred thousand people there, but maybe forty thosand ar neutralsyeah. That's true, yeah, it's more of like an event thin uncle av been tothey pogram Finon yeah e watch like five batches yeah. I don't really haveany like incentive or anything to go. Watch an AFOGRAPH INA lot. EA, I morelike, especially on that day, I love the Gono mates place. Something ee is it'smore, I think that's more fun than just go o the game watching it yeah the finals, Aber Finals willprobably be the one just because yeah a d like I rememberon te like it just seems so loud in there and those Aranisan, becausethey'r close to readers like would be id be so loud eah. So as I as fenishured me and pople yaregoing to be discussing this in a podcast in a few days. But what is your most painful sporting butmemory moment Jeez? I should Nott know I try not tothink about these to yeah. I was quickly brainstalling. Last Nighti isabsolute struggle because the thing is like tigers and Neu. Southwales Thar'sbeen a lot of moments. Ut Yeah new, so as Iwas Liking, nine dix outspecifically was like eight traight years of them losing yeah on't know, maybe Tige is losing to the roost.Isn't that final, I thousand ND ten yeah to guys I didn't even know. If Iwas that sad that day I feel like. I was just like surprised. They mad fibecause we're in a friend's house and they were rusas supporters, so thatprobably meant it worse, but it was just the fact that I was like as well. It's he longest game I'ht belike I've. Watched goes into like the hundred minute. Maybe so I's like theextra time was just kept going and you're just like. Can someone freakingcommitters win this come me win it and then they scored son, canny dowt. Ithink scores like a hundred madter try in a cept or something Tokira cantcatch him itwas just like, but yeah, that's probably the Tiger's game. That's that hurt the most. I think, becausethey've had like opportunities to make the finals, but then they get likesmark sixty nel. So it's Sikeli over early on, whereas I went intwo hundredyenits because they had a chance to make the finals, but, like I don't knowwhy I wasn't even that denastated. I was like nervously heading into thegame, but, like twenty minutes in you were like we're, probably not going towin this Matu and sharks for it like a lot better yeah, whereas, like thatroosters game, like the Tigers, were better, they should have scored so manytries in Thei, first AFF and you're in it for a hundred minutes, which is twenty mines longer than normal regulague game. So it's justlike an extra added, precious sort of thing, yeah and then I'd say honestly, the Barcelono living for ones actually pretty. That was pretty tough because that'slike could imagine, because you guys always take the Piesce, always changemy Perra team. I finally settled on Artal yeah, but Barlon has been likethe one soccer team or one football team that I've always followed like. Iwas the first kit, overgot yeah. I think when I was like seven years oldor something I've always grabbed. I think it was notlike a messyou anymore, like number nineteen or something so I've alwayslike gravitated to them, and I've always like watched Mycmach Orounya. No, I think I had a run onto Yo, havehad I've owned, like Tentenal soming Bas on jerseys, be I had a Msse like old Turkoise blew away one withnineteen on the BAC N on ther one as well. Yeah like I've watched T at I've,watched their three champions. Lik Final wins in the last ten years, alleleven ears now and because they hadn't made it in likefour four years or something final. So I was like watching that and with threeNowa lead you like it, they should get home and then it's like that corner thequarter hurt that heard the most because it's just like that's just lazyyeah, it's like that's just lazy, defenden yeah, that's probably up thereas well. All Right, I give you permission. Well, I want you to have abit of me time here. What are your top three like most proudish favoritesporting achievements or moments in...

...your sporting career? Quite a talented sportsan I'll say somyself playing rugbi league. I know it's inVictoria, but playing first Gra, drug beleague and Victoria, I'm pretty proudof that. Just because it's I've never really like I've neverplayed Rugu League really until yeah, like I played, will I frend finishdschool, but I never played rugby either tilllike year, twelve, so I was pretty but I'd always payed rugby, like touchfootywhen I was Youngi like played it at school lunch time and all that sort ofstuff and like Throwoun, the Foorty with you and dad. So I always thought I had like thepassing Skil but like actually play and see that I could actually like play andwasn't like shit was kind of like proud and just like to get there and Yeuactually train like part of the footy club, and that was also big for me, because I don't have anymates Tho play rightreally in melon, so to go to a club with I didn't know, anyone there was was obviously a bit like not scary, butlike a bit a was bit anxious at first, just because you're like I don't knowwhat these guys want to. Think of me like I haven't, actually played Roveyour league before then you like Orock up and then you d. They just like, takeyou and is rint on the boy sort of thing yeah, which I'm really proud ofthat and yeah just to be apart, like some ofthose guys, like actually pretty good players so as like just to be aroundthose guys kind of cool, and it's also different, because it'snot like theyre. It's a luck of quite a different culture, because a lot ofthem were Polynesian from like they wote from like somemoral tonge yeah, sothey had like different beliefs and just went about and like live differently to how I do soItas kind of cool to get a different perspective into like how they treatpeople like how they like go about just like every day, laugh and all thatthing so like it was pretty cool. Like I learned quite a bit so that be up there and I'd say I don't actually well our cricket. I ways always have I'v got quite highexpectations on myself for cricket SELT's, not like I've got to the level where I want toplay it. I haven't achieve that yet so t is that, like a individual inings orsomething really love to proud, the probably themost proud innings I've played is the when I swote a hundred and eighty, Ithink, two years ago, against Footscrabe, we chased a three hundredand fifty, which I think is a pretty. I was pretty proud with that innings yeah, well, the chase threed and fiftyin the sqol. Just over half the runs o like that's a pretty big yeah death. That's a pretty big moment for me and also just to prove that I can make. Ilike a really like really big score of fun. If I like really set my mind to it, so that also helps with like thementality side of my creder career, which is always been my downful.Knowing that, like, I can make big like big hundreds, if I reallylike step my mind to it and like knock with down and play hard yeah yeah, that's probably the proudest like individual performance I've had,and so we ended up winning the gane quite comfortably. So that's probablymy most proud individual moment and then like playing first eleven representingYau School First Levon with cricket was always big MOM. That was always a bigthing for me, because ever since I went to St Pes and Brisbine, that was alwaysa goal of min was to try and play first Leven for Thi School and then wonce. Iwas there to realize what playing for the first eleven at that school andthen obviously whe we went to halebry realizing what that meant. Throug ablike to be representing theschool was and to be like part of the best livingcrikeers in the school was like a pretty cool thing like something I wasn't really going to takefor granted and yeah and then obviously playingfirst. I know as fag biat schools and how many people play a halered butplaying first fifteem with the school a waning. A PREMISEIP was pretty cool but say my pro and then probablyanother moment would be so they so the ruggileague and th a hundred a d eightyand then my next month. Third PROUTES morentwould be playing for that Western unaffording school queens. An carnival yeah because I was in. I didn't actually expect you a pick forthe team, and then I got picked, and I was around quite like that's probablythe most talented team I've ever played in Yeah A. I think, there's been acouple. There's been a couple like Queens, Lan, Futures League players, NThere's been two or three of them: haveplayed for the Queens Land. Second, eleven well under twenty Threeis, now yeah, but I think they've scriped itactually so its back to second eleven whov play for the second Leven hour andlike I've, played really good first grade Careeris, so fine Brisbin, but yeah that was like really Talentean. Then I had a quite aDece ad, a quateical cartival. So I was like I was pretty proud to go, play inglike the Queensland Championships and...

...think I might have been like the secondor third top run score and just O, like that's like a good accom. I felt likethat was a quite a good accomplishment. Yeah. Definitely for me! So Yeah! I wasquite that's another one. I was quite proud of a that was also one of thefunnest like yeah. FUNAST teams have been a part of yeah troops. If, if there's people listening, who playedRep Crick an Victoria whatever Brisban, does it a bit differently? Because it'ssuch a quain SINC? Sorry because it's such a big state, you travel for rapcarnivals. So, like I traveled to the goal coast Loke, you went to cans and mccy yeah do go coast as wellyeah, so you would travel and then stay with your team for a week and likeobviously with the coach so thats they were pretty elite and they were likearound Christmas time. So it was always good fun! That's enough for sport! So now I'vegot a few more questions. Just general, I was planning on asking. I wasplanning on doing a podcast with all the family members and asking thesequestions, but I've decided to do individual interviews with each member. So what's your favorite family holiday was being on and why hisis a tough one, because some of theones who've recently been on teven like unnbelievable yeah Jesus is tough, the last yeah it'stough. The last two WAV been ONA bin, Crazy. She probably when we went to Canada and La well. We ssor in La thatwas probably my favorite Gwe, like we love going in the snow as a family, andI love my snowboarding. So we went to whistle Er for a week and a bit withanother family, family friends who have been skatting in ne zeal and beforewith and to go to whistler. I the first place was cool walk around like I justlove the whole vibe of Wis SLA yeah, it Wasack with a little village and stuffa play, penty of pubs and bars. It's like yeah. You just go becausethis wis the first time I'd been skiing overseas. Where I was eighteen,oh yeah. Now I was a changer man, but likeI was twenty, I was twenty and we had like. You were nineteen eighteen, seventeen yeah te IG teen, that in you and then like we had alle like Allean, WilliamStuff Ho were like yeah. We had friends yeah we had friends who like could comeand drink with us as well and stuff when you're in Japan you're like notgoing to go to the pub yeah. So Li Don, it was quite a cool experience to be atthe snow and you can like drink and stuff and Goe pups and, like you, canmeet different people and, like me and Oll had a a night where we went to likecarryokeba or something we just like were pretty pissed in them. We like wehad a bet, fun and then yeah. It was just cool to ski. On that mountain, itsmassive and I loved, I just loved it wasawesome like the whole vibe of it was awesome, like I loved in the sameNiseco in Japan, like the whole vibe of just staying on the mountain, and it's snowing like you, can't driveanyware Cou Hove, a cass you just like walking around taking buses and stufflike that which is cool, yeah and then yeah, I loved tower. So we didSan Francisco Laes, so two places I want to I've wanted to goto and like we saw, we saw an NBA game there as well, whichprobably pushes that probably makes it the best. Because I like THAs surrealgoing to an Mbagan, then we saw that we saw the warriors, so we saw like KevinDeran play and stef carry, which was pretty cool yeah, that probably en the best one andlike just saying La and stuff and actually going to America, was prettypretty lice surreal yeah. If you were stuck on a deserted islandand ye were lucky enough to be landed therewith one other of our family members. This is immediate family, so CampbellMumdad me, who are you wanting by your side? That's a tough one yeah! Actually, I think I know about pbecause I take cae, but there's not there's not going to be any lottops oriny there. There so oactoally be interestedg td, beInteresteng to seein go yeah. So I can't even talk about that really, butI think I take you because we could like credit, foord you or something, and then we we have quite a few shared interests, so yeah I probably be ableto ecause you. Probably the only of the three Ho just like would be chilledabout it. Oh yeah I'd be like Mom Dad before some othe manic flars to lot well I'd panic myself, soI need a bit of a foil next to me, I think yeah it'd be a cool, be like reallife, SOM Bliba yeah, not because you can like talk footy and stuff andcricket like if we could create a foot of youlike we could find a coconut and plastas of what Yowar saying yeah ifSOMF Piy, that on survivol our family...

...yeah each one of us on a differentseries who would you back Togo ther furthest, including yourself, which ba I actually really like to doit? Would you back yourself together firs, I don't know it's like difficult, though, because Iprobably would back Yeu to be honest, because the thing is, I feel like mom.She has great social skills, but I think she would just take everyone facevalue, so I think she'd get plaid pretty easily Lik. If I got in likereally good physical condition, I could I think I'd do all right. CANDL wouldbe all right. Yeah Cambe would be good. I think cam would be quite good, butit's like dad would be bad. MOM would be bout, it's just like a hard. I don'tthink I'd be very good. It's a hard thing to try and like get a hold ofbecause wellite hard concept because like without having no without knowinganyone, who's, actually done it, its not likeyeah and like I don't know howmuch pressure that situation puts on you and then obviously you got to take intoa you to take into the fact that they'renot eating a lot then no like they di they could be dehidratedthey'R, not really getting sleep you're going to be hungry, you'r just Gointo,be like etally, a good point, your gon to be yeah, that's true and he gets hangryyeah good shit actually Beeah. I E I'm the same thoughsometimes out, O seep. I could be a little grunpy bit. I think I'd be allright because there's a lot of time to just like you can go and chill out for likean hour or something yeah buyeah, be you can't really take ano.The account like just being hungry sleepless like sleep, deprive mentallyfatigue, physically fatigued and then you're, obviously with peoplethat you don't know so you have to get have in get to know them as well enyou're playing at the end of it yeah the end of the day, you're playing thegame, so people will be pissed, but you could just mask it yeah, so people andpeople are going to be trying to potentially for you out things likethat so hard, be it's a big hypothetical yeah be a tough thing todo, but it be something Ti'd like to do. Wan Day, Arikan Yeah, all right final, one you're approaching the age where soon you're, probably looking to travel, exporesome places where's the first place. You want to go so one country,Spain me for me. I want to see I'd love to see Barcelo to play and then just to get ahold of Spain asa country like get a concept of the culture, because I've heard some good thingsabout it. So I'd be called to like spend sometime in Spain and obviously get to watch hom football. There then just to get the part of thatSpanish culture would be pretty cool. I think like great food, yes, well bepretty cool trip. I reckon any anyway that comes close to it. Oll Spain, likeI'd like to do like Germany, Italy as well yeah like let's be real. If you'reGong to Spain, you probably wouldn't just do, span yeah and then I want toto. I want to go to Gibralta one day. Well, HEU's, just a bit of aroni yeah. You can do that self, Spain, so you can do that yeah! It's Suct, a ranm thing Iwant to do and then, like Brazil and Agetina Wuld, probably be on the list somewhere yeah just to go,get a hold of those cultures really just see how, like Idon't really know what it's like over there. Like I've Sayen that you've seelike videos and pictures and stuff, but you don't really know till you go yeahsort of thing right, at's, that's it really! That'sall I've got so thanks for Joiingmeg may beautiful osis is a nice littletent episode, special one of Mone wit, L MAC, so yeah sheus joining me nors. Iknow you've got two UNI Assirmons to do tomorrow, so thanks Youyon time out oyour day, yeah, that's right! Actually I didn't, I didn't say who I thinkwould win survivor. I think Campbell would' have the bestshot. I V yourself. I win xsodo myself. I don't want to say: Okay Pus I've watched a lot more survivorthan yeah. They have so I've got more of A. I think: I've a OOVERGRASS AAgame in the TA and Shit like that, but yeah, I think Cambell. If he couldcontrol his emotions. I think he'd be quite good. Yeah because he's aentertainer, so yeah Tso people like and me can they can get along witheveryone, yeah yeah and, like he's Lihe's, actually quite like he's,vreeze fit and he's quite like actually athletic. So he do your on challenge aswell: Yeah so and he's competitive, so yeah that could also La Jus damfulthank o Peti different, O Liv Someone Tae ow yeah yeahno. That's that'd be myAyeah anyway. So if you want to go get around like he has his ownpodcast, the watcher podcast it is, it hasn't had too many episodes uploadrecently, but once the oreal season gets gowing, theres, O and also he'sgot an episode next week, planned about...
