Welcome back to the on the Bale podcast:This is another euro preview episode and once again we are doing it just onthe eve of the group beginning, which is a shame, but unfortunately the powerouted to throw the schedule into the mud. But if you haven't checked out theother, four episodes do go back and listen to them, even though the firstmatch days happen for those groups are very entertaining content. In myopinion, anyway, the videos will be up in the next twenty four hours. So ifyou haven't listened- and you prefer visual content for Fred to wait forthat, but before we get into the Group E stuff make sure you go check out allthe socials and if whatever you're listening or watching in make sure youget around us on there, whether it be subscribing following and all that goodstuff, that D be greatly appreciated. So Group E, it's an interesting group, actuallythere's some good sides and he and there's obviously no group of death oranything but I'd, say similar to group see the Nethla. U Crane Group, it'squite evenly match, there's no clear dead side. There's no clear titlecontender could be a group that provides a bit of an upset, so theteams are pole and Slovakia, Spain and Sweden. So we'll start with Poland inthe last ten they've picked up fourteen so they're a good side. They've gotsome really good players, but you can't do have to admit they are out of formbased on that figure. They've had a fairly tough run of fixtures, however,in the UFANOS league they've had a tough drawer and in the U F qualifyyour o qualifies they've face one really good apparents, so that hasdefinitely been a huge factor behind their recent form values and I don'tthink, that's necessarily representative of where this team is atwhen you look at their apparents like solace and sweet and they're, probablynot at the level that the teams have been playing and losing to or duringtwo or so. I don't think. I think we're going to take that with a bit of agrain of salt in terms of gold, school they've scoredsixteen girls and ten games. Definitely not shabby at all, not not a strongpoint, they're, obviously not scoring bags, but once again these are againstsome of it, the world's best defences, and they have conceded thirteen H H,which is one of the higher figures we've seen. But once again the pointstance they've had to tough opposition, so the gold different is an ideal, butneither figure is alarming it, but neither figures either. You know, feel fugue with conferencewith this side. So, looking at the last four performances in the thousand andEighteen World Cup, they didn't make it out of the group stage. I think thatwas a bit of a shop. I don't remember who was in that group, but I do recall.People were a little bit under whelmed with their performance, two thousandand sixteen years they made the quarter finals, which is a good good result.Twunty Fourteen Old Cup didn't qualify in two thousand and twelve years didn'tmake it out of a group stage, so don't...

...quite have pedigree as the likes of aSpain do in big tournaments of recent times well to be first Spain. The lastthree haven't been great, but before that they were really good, and Swedenalso made the quarter finals in the last World Cup. So in terms of big tornform- probably not the pick here, but when you look at some of their playersin the seasons that've been having in Europe. That is a reason why youpotentially think they're a good chance getting out of this group, so their keyplayers obviously Rabbit Levin Robert Levados Ki is obviously one of the beststrikers in the world has been for the last five or six years. People were saying he was robbed forBalance Door last year and he's probably with the running again thisyear, so he came in terms of big fire, duits, Big Five Leagues. All my startswill be, as they have been the whole series that his second in terms ofexpected goals and expected assist combined, excluding penalties. So thatsuggests how good he is not just to you know, having creating chances forhimself. You also create chances for others. Any obviously finishes thoseoffered a very, very high rate. He has four shot a as the fourth mostshot on Tiet per ninety out of all the players in the big five league, so he'sgetting a lot of volume on on goal and he's also not wasting them like some ofthe other well known strikes, so yeah he's just really clinical strike up.Arguably, the Best Ri, I think you'd have to say, is the best strake in theworld right now, so he's going to be leaving the line for Pol and he'sdefinitely going to be a hand for for the others. But the question is whetherhe's going to get that same service that he does at by an Munich and thatit has been his issue with Poland. He's got a pretty good goal scoring record, but he just doesn't see the volume of chances that he does at by andobviously by and dominate pretty much every game they're in where polly inSpain it's a bit of a different ball park. For that sound like Levanto, haveto do a lot more pressing and all that kind of stuff butt. He will be theirkey to success, he's likely going to be scoring upwards of fifty percent oftheir goals. They score in the tournament and if they get out of thegroup stage and progress further he's likely going to be right up there forthe Golden boot race. One of their other key players is ther man betweenthe six Lucas Fabians. We know from Westham, obviously formerly of ARSTAfame as well, but he's been one of the best most consistent, most reliablegoal. Keepers in the Premier League in the last three seasons, you'd have tosay, is right up there with some of the best in the league, probably a top fivekeeper across the last three years, he's just continually making ridiculoussaves and keeping West Ham in some games that they probably don't deserveto be in. He was in the top twenty five in Europe's top five leagues for safepercentage, and also it's pretty sophisticated stup, butit's basically the amount of expected goals. If you save pretty much, is thebest way of putting it after the shot has been taken, so that doesn't includelike blocks and stuff. Like that, but...

...it's if someone shoots- and they have athirty percent chance of scoring- and you save it- then that is point threeof an expected goal saved if that makes any sort of sense, but basically justshows that he is one of the world's best goal keepers, so he's going to bea huge factor, so they're pretty good on it, either end of the pitch, whetherit be Levaney, finishing or Fabiani saving. But potentially the weakness isbetween those two and that, unfortunately, that's where themajority of the ball is played. So one of their corner stones has beenthat ever reliable for the Polish national side for a long time is cameglick I used the center back and yeah he's going to be he's a without being disrespectful. Heis reaching the end of his career now, but he's still likely going to be awork horse in that defensive set up. Are they have Parta Zalinski? He willbe a bit of a creative force. Doesn't a bit of everything made the Sary outteam of the season this year in the cinema position and there's some of thekey players in Poland? They probably don't have the depth that they did in previous tournaments, but they'restill got that top line talent that playing in some of your biggest clubsso yeah. They definitely are looking at like a good chance of getting out ofthis group. It's just a matter of how far they go beyond that and we'll gettalk about that in the predictions moving on to Slovakia. They are theweakest team in this group in both ranking and also form they've onlypicked up thirteen points in their last ten games and haven't had a tough fixedout like the compared to the licks of Poland andSweden. So they've only scored ten goals in their last ten, and that iswhere the issues lie. A lot of not to type cast a lot of these easternEuropean sides, but a lot of them are very similar and they have solddefensive their very passionate sides, but they struggle to put the ball inthe back of the net, and this is going to be a huge issuefor so lark year. They can see to ten only consider eleven girls, sorry andbut they only scored ten, so conceding. Eleven is certainly not an issue and that will probably have them in mostgames and the conceding one goal, but when you're only scoring one poor game, especially given the fact that the opposition they played in those tengames are, for the most part weaken than the three opponents they will playin the group stage. It's not good reading for sbark in their last fourtournaments. They have been called five o three and they've made it out of thegroup stage in the round of sixteen made it out of the group stage lost inthe round of sixteen of the years in two thousand and sixteen. But the key player is Martin de Bribe. CutHe's had another really good year, he's a little bit of injury interruptedseason at Newcastle, but still like I mentioned about Fabian Sky asbeing one of the better keepers, a lot of the non big. Why now West Ham and areally really good season, but the...

...traditional top six below that there'squite a few good goal: keepers that over perform they face a lot of shots, especially when they play against the big teams and they keep their sides init and Martin de Brav CA is a perfect example of that is been really reallygood. Arguably was probably the best goal keeper last season the seasonbefore the one that's just finished, so he's going to be a huge factor, fullSabaki up and one of their well known players is Milan. Scrinia talked abouthim going to man, united and all sorts for about seventy mill a couple yearsago. Some of that US has died down, but he once again made the seriatim theseason and will be a bit of a pan in the butt really foropposition strikes our big tall center back. So yes, so vacare not predictingtoo much success for them will see how many points I pick them ending up on,but definitely not a easy beat fany of their three opponentts or are movinginto Spain. This Spanish side is definitely the most fancied side in thegroup for good reason. They have the most known names, but not only thatthey have a lot of players in it, really really good form for their clubs. They've had some notable savage actings believe I SCO wasn't, including thesquad. No Rama, dred player was included in Quadulta, so that includeslacks of surgery. Ramos Marker ASENSIO, which was pretty controversial.Obviously the manager with roots from Basel Lona could be could be the reason, but you know someof the round which Ed players didn't have the greatest of seasons, belooking at the Spanish side. They have picked up twenty one points in theirlast ten games, they've had a not the most difficult draw as you'd expect ateam of their quality to have, but hasn't been the easiest last ten gamesfor them. They scored twenty four goals, which isreally really promising and they have only conceded sick so that gold of fatthat goal difference is really really exciting and positive for this team and they haven't had the greatest recent success. It has to be said that Golden Generation Wall- I know they called thebelt and team. The golden generation- probably can't call Spain that, becausepretty much all their generations are pretty gold, but that Dream Team ofaround two thousand a D, eight twenty ten, the success they had definitely hasn'tbeen backed up in the last couple tournaments. They they haven't made itpass around as sixteen in their last two Atensi, including the twenty itenwill cup and the thousand and sixteen euros didn't make it out of the groupsin two twenty fourteen World Cup. But that was a bit of a group of death withthe Netherlands and Chile and they obviously one the twenty twelve euros. However, it is definitely a new look team at the two thousand and twenty one,l, two thousand and twenty euros, the key player I would like to know- andhis is most likely going to play, but he is not a guarantee and that is Lewis.Alberto he's capped off another brilliant season atlots. Soon he's been one of their man...

...created. Well, he has been their maincreator for the last two or three years and it's been a huge reason behindShiro mobly success and the lot sosie as a whole and his tarts are justridiculous. He is in the top twenty five in Europe's top five leagues forkey passes passes into the final third passes into the penalty area. He hasthe most bored progressions in the whole of Europe, which is justridiculous, as in the top twenty five f shot, creating actions penine, as alsoin the top twenty five for ball progressions with the ball so dribblingand he's just a he's, just a gun. Here's the second most dribbles intothe final third there's, basically no stout where, in terms of baldprogression, that this guy isn't so he's a master at picking up the ballaround halfway and really putting it into a dangerous spot. He plays thatten roll can also play on. The wing plays a second striker very flexible, and he is someone who not a breakout campaign is is definitely in the Primis career and is not young by any means. But this could be a tallant where hisname becomes a household. His name becomes household really wellknown. Don't know why he's somely over theregoing to become a household nat is what I'm trying to say, but I'm trying tosay in a fancy away, but I do not have the voked for that, but he is obviouslywell known by Syria fans, but that's probably where his existence is known.Limited to that, where I think if he has a really good campaign- and thesestart suggest you should, if he plays anywhere like that or like he does- forlate he's- going to become one of the world superstar in soccer and he'sgoing to become someone who might even going to move as lat'so have been inreally really good form Champions League football, all that good stuff. But there could be bigger things to come for him. Who knows other playersonce again, the Spanish team, one of the hardest starting excise to put anfinger on there? No one really knows who's going to play. To be honest, butsomeone else, I'm also excited to see his rogery look is moved to man, city, the last two seasons, and I guess it's brought success to the club, but Iwouldn't say he's being a ground breaking signing at all a shownglimpses here or there definitely suits the pep system, but has definitely not you know he doesn't start every gamethat rotated phonating through there. A few other players have tried thatnumber six role, and this is definitely a campaign he's in the prime of hiscareer and he loves playing with this Spanish side and if he gets the nod inthat midfield, he is going to be a key to their success. Another master ofball progression, a really good at dribbling through the lines, has areally hard tribal percentage, is also does a lot on the defensive side ofthings, obviously, as a six as in the top ten for Barerecoveries, and he isright up there. An aerial percentage so...

...really well rounded midfield for Spainwill probably bring another element to their team, as most of their playersare just very technical, and the next guy I'm going to talk about willdefinitely bring that as well. So I don't think this girl will start, butas we see with walls, what we did last season, the two two Utan nine hundredand twenty campaign, he can be one of the most damaging impact selves inworld football. That is a Damara, is a drivel machine, so strong. He has the second most successfuldribbles per game. In Europe's top five leagues, which is just ridiculous- I dobelieve that is behind the one, an only Leo Messy, so nothing to stuff outthere right up there and ball progressions dribbler. So he's liningfast, very strong. It's just going to take everyone on down that line, sohe's going to be a handful for all defences and hopefully sees enough gametime to have an impact, so that will definitely be down to the manager butyea interested to see the stamp there Dumbaro or I can have on this toiletand they've. Had A lot of players make team in the seasons Radere made theteam in the season for the Premier League, Danny Alma, made it in theBundes League Jordy album made it. That must be his fitful sixes in there.Every year were for La Lega, Marcus or ante, made it off the back of reallygood campaign for outlet a matred transferring from somewhat of a centraldefensive, central, mid field to a lot more attacking player, and she us nobis who actually missed out onthe squad, which is a bit controversial. But he had a really good season andthat just shows the depth of Spain that sound, like him is missing out. So,even though he's pretty old but yeah Spain's definitely going to be one towatch at this tournament, one of the bigger wild cards I'd have to say. Iknow people are looking more extreme and the likes of Turkey, Ukraine wellbefore the torn. They were anyway, but Spain is definitely a bit of anunderdog ow. We saw it only less than eight months ago where they, whichGermany, six neel so they're, definitely a very, very good side, andthen the final team in Group E is Sweden. Obviously the main player of note for Sweden isLatin Ibrahimovna. Unfortunately, he will not be playing announced hisinternational comeback and he got injured. So that is a huge shame, forSweden would have been a huge draw card for every one watching if la Tan wasleading the line for them. But they've got a pretty handy depity inAlexander Isaac off the back of a real good season for Roll Sociedad made theLaw League team, the season and he's going to be their key. But as a teamthey've picked up fifteen points from their last ten competitive games andthey've had a fairly tough run of games as well, so they've been tested againstsome of the Europe's best are. They have only scored fourteen and concededthirteen, so low scoring affairs from both ends for Sweden, but that's thatsolidity is definitely nothing to...

...overlook in these sort of tournaments, especially when the place goes through, because if they can, you know, grindout a couple drawers here or there and then beat Savare, which is the game youexpect them to win. They can easily cruise through in as one of the bestthird place teens. They obviously made the quarter finals of the thousand andEighteen Wall Cup getting knocked out by England, but very good achievement.A group stages in the last two years and didn't qualify for the twentyfourteen well cup. So they're, a bit of a hit in Mis side, are similar to a lotof the Nordic nations. You know they've got a lot of tenchemistry and stuff like that, not necessarily the depth of someing like adem mark, but they do have a lot of top line talent and a lot of young, exciting players, some of them more solid players include Ekdal, who Ithought was really impressive for the two thousand and eighteen well cupCenami believe applies his trade in this Seria August, Inson also probablyputtering. That name but he's a left back in the ones. League he's also hada pretty impressive season, so they've just got some really solid players anda lot of them have played together for a while and they've got some exuberantyouthful exuberance and the likes of Alexander Isac, so a yeah, the they'reanother. While car this group is really one of the hardest predict with Poland,Spain and Sweden. All sort of unknown quantities to a certain extent soreally excited to see how this goes kicks off to night. Spain play Swedenand Pon place the Bark Yard, but that will lead me into my predictions forgroup be, but my predictions for groupes follow so tonight's game. Weare starting off the pole, so bark Yar. I just think I don't. None of theseteams are in great form, probably excluding Spain, so I don't thinkthey're going to be too high scoring, but I'm going to say Poland just outclass, so larky one now I think they've got too much class on their side, Spain.I reckon they put out a bit of a notice to o the rest of the competition. Ithought they were pretty impressive against Portugal and that friendly, although you know they missed a lot of chances, tore morata. But I think Ilike that. I, like this team, there's, you know, there's obviously some greatplayers but there's not too many absolute certified stars like some ofthe other nations, but they're just do a lot more well rounded teams than someof the other nations, I'm going to say they really make a statement and wentthree hill against Sweden. Moving into match day to I have Sweden,Business Levaka. I've got Sweden winning to one. I don't know. I justdon't have great hoits for Sabaki this tormenting they have and ough to cutthe mustard in a fairly tough group and Spain, Poland, pollen of a decent squadbut they're out of form, and I think they may be past their prime, as Ithink they were maybe in their peak in two thousand and sixteen o thousand andeighteen. I think they might be a little bit past it here. So I'm goingto say Spain to would to nil and then match day three, the big one probablydeciding second place. Sweden versus...

Poland. I've gone on one old drawersthink both teams will be too solid for one ofthe others to score two or three goals, and I think they're both good enough to breach the others defense and then I'vegot Spain being Slovakia, three nel. I just think Spain will be too of luckyso telling that up. It means I have Spain going through on nine points.Probably what most people expect. They might drop a game here or there, butreckon that we goes through fairly untouched got Poland, just beatingSweden to second spot, both finishing on four points but polen going throughon gold difference swining it third, but they will definitely qualify forthe best the place team as with four points, and then, unfortunately, I haveso larker going home on nothing. So I know North Masagan surprised us lastnight, so maybe savate will have something similar in stall in store for us, but I trust the otherthree thanes a lot more and I think Spain are legitimate, dark walls forthis competition so hope you've enjoyed that groupe preview I'll, be bringingyou a group F one tomorrow and stay tuned for that one and also stay tunedfor more euros, content coming up and the videos for the podcast. So thanksfor supporting the PODCAST and we'll catch you next time, cheese.
