Welcome back to the other ball podcast. This might be a new episode or might be continuing on from the group paypreview. I'm still not sure whether to do an episode per group or an episodeper two groups, but we'll see how long this one takes and that will probablydictate what we end up choosing. But looking at group be here for the EuroTwo thousand and twenty we are looking at, obviously the favorite one of thefavorites for the tournament. Obviously the favorite for this group and it'sgoing to be the red devils in Belgium, they've acquired. If that's the rightword, to use twenty five points in their last ten games, which is quitesimply and incredible. That is equal second out of all the contestants inthis year's competition, so they are one of the most informedteams and they've also had arguably one not arguably statistically one of thetoughest runnings, I think their third or fourth, in the strength of schedule.Difficulty so they've had a really really good leading to their tournament. In thelast two years, they've scored thirty four goals and ten games. So that'sreally real, really impressive. Something we've always been a bitdumped out in by this team is how they haven't been able to. You know rack upfour or five goals, a game with the attacking talent that they have attheir disposal. So that's good to see them starting to get some rhythmtogether and go against they've conceded ninegirls against her, also pretty pretty handy. So this is a big tournament forBelgium and general they've. Look, I don't want to be pessimisticand they've got some good young players. Your tilman they've also got was Le forfiner at less star, obviously, a lot of great players, and I'm not mentioning, but in terms of the Gen genuine stars, the genuine guns that they have we'retalking to Brian Ow, we're talking aldovrand, we're talking hazard bits ofthis is probably their last chance as a group to really win a major title. Ithink the World Cup and two more next...

...year. I guess I guess that's not toofar out of reach, but I think it's a big ask for a lot of players attheir age. I think most of their squad ers over the edge of thirty one of theoldest squads in the competition. It's a big ask for them to produce some of their best footballwhen there thirty ture an Tirty, three thirty, four, so right now most of themare still in their prime, but coming into the back end of it. So it's goingto be a really really big tournament for them. I think this is their bestchance. They've had yet, I think, other years their squad might have beenbetter on paper and the opposition might have been weaker, but I think nowthey've played together, for you know, eight or nine years as a court group. So by now they should be as good as a club side. So I'm expecting reallyreally big things from this Belgium group. They came third at the thousandand Eighteen World Cup. They made the quarter finals of two thousand andsixteen years and two thousand and fourteen World Cup and that's sort ofsince this golden generation came through looking at their key players. This this dam, an its got to be Kevin to bryner. One of the best players inthe world right up there for key passes. Third Amongst Europe's Big Five Leagues, also believe it or not. While I guess, assists a lot of goals. So it's notthat confusing, but he's in the top twelve in Europe for expected goals, plastic spes expected assist, minus penalties, so he's got his hands all over a lot ofmen, cities, goals and most of the people above them a are now strike is awinging. So it's impressive that he does that from midfield. He is third interms of big five leagues for shot, creating actions, his right up therefor passes into the opposition box and he's also right up there for dribblinginto the final third. So he does it all passing, shooting, not necessarily defensively, but that'snot his job. Dribbling is just an absolute gun and if he has his bestinternational tournament to day that could go a long way into seeing theelgin left their first international...

...trophy and he's going to be a key to ithas adds obviously not in as great form as he has been at previous tournaments.Look aces in really good form, he's also going to be very violent for them, but I think de Brian, at going forward in attack is going to be their mainweapon. A nother one of their guns is courtois now little lot as talked aboutgoal keepers, but I think international tournaments is where a lot of goldkeepers back in name for themselves. Just coming to my head. I know a lot ofthese are in penalty. Shoot outs, but I know John Pickford kind of developed a little bit of a legendState is really for his performances in the thandy eighteen world cup and thenthinking about Mexico's keeper go o Chela. He likeI'll, be on side and even really know what he does at club football, but whenhe puts on that, Mexican Jersey becomes age with the best goal keeper in theWorld Watch the USA. Mexico highlights of their nation's league final theother day and he was on absolute fire like he has been at so manyinternational torments in the last ten years. So go check that off. Youhaven't, but caught Toi, reon, adred keeper. Obviously, a big name, bigplayer in general, is a big man, but he's going to have to have a reallygood tournament for them. We saw in the two thousand and Eighteen World Cup yougot. Lorry had a really good tournament bought France and keepers generally doplay a big role in their team success. So Co twis could have a big torame he'shad a really good season for a matred, and another guard like to mention isJeremy Dochu. Now he's not going to be starting eighteen year old from Ren Renhave produced a lot of exciting talent in the last three or four years, he'slikely going to be on the bench, and I think he should come off the benchbecause he could have a real big impact on how this team goes in the lasttwenty minutes of games. He is in the top twenty Europe Big Five Leagues forsuccessful Driggs per ninety he's also in the big fire top league top twelve...

...in progressive dribbles per nine, soreally good with ballet fee and can imagine with some tiring bodies. I canimagine he is youthful and Esias M. coming onto the field, maybe replacingsome of the older boys like hazard and stuff like that and just cutting apartdefenses, especially in the early stage of the tournaments, but I can't see whyI can't do it the whole way through so shared. U is one who could have alittle bit of a break out tournament off the bench for Belgian and I hope hegets that chance because he looks to be a really exciting talent for them.Coming through Buyeh they've just got so many really good players, theirteams, absolutely stacked. CARASCO is probably not even going to get thereand he's been a revelation palate come try. This year you re Tilmas, he'sgoing to be at the base in mid field. Had A really good year for Lester citydress, Merton's, probably going to be there he's at another good year at hisclub and Lekakisera, as I've mentioned, they've all had really good years all, respectively, making their own leagues team of the season. So Belgian hugechance of winning this thing will talk about it later in might knock outpredictions preview and moving on to the other group be sides.First of all, looking at demark they're actually really highly ranked in thepaper world ranking like. I can't even remember what it is, but when I wasdoing my research, they were really really high. They're picked up twentypoints from their last ten games, so pretty pretty solid they've had alsonot the easiest of drawers. They've scored, twenty three goals, pretty solid and only conceded eight. So no one's really talking aboutDenmark, as they probably have been in the past tournaments. As you know, their star play Christian Erics and it's probably past his prime and someof their other names like man, Brathay and stuff are all past it, but there'sstill going to be a very, very good team and they made the round of sixteenand the thousand and Eighteen World Cup didn't qualify for the thousand andsixteen years or twenty four ten well cups. So don't quite have the bigtorment pedigree there, like others, but they're, a really, really good team. Some of the look I'll be honest, their...

...players aren't in the greatest of formsimilar to Wales. Like I mentioned in group a but as a team. I think they'rea lot better. I remember watching some of their nations leagues hearts andthey had some really good. Performances are some names to mention in terms ofstatistics. I don't know if either of these two are either going to start, but Wakem Anderson, I'm probably saying that real wildly, but it's probablylike Swak, actually don't know how a Danish person would say: Walkin Waki, I don't know a but theSendabad from Fulham. He was in the top fifteen for clearances and yeah. He was just a really dominantforce that played some great long balls. Every time I watched follit was reallyalways one of their best players and they've also got Cole. Nearly us don'tknow much about this blow, but I know he's an absolute aerial threat, sowatch out for him coming on and playing a bit like Artan Zuba does from Russiajust being an aerial presence. We're going to see a few of these tobstrikers is Tartan. I think veg horses going to start for Netherlands we'vegot Zuba from Russia, and this guy could also have an impact for Denmark,so watch out for those two guys, maybe not start in the first game, but theymight have an impact later on in the tournament, so Denmark, the secondfavorite, to win this group, and that is probably why and now these two teams that on thegreatest of form, but definitely not worth sleeping on Finland's, they havepicked up seventeen points in their last out. Ten appearances had a pretty easy fix. Urup, it's gotto be honest, it's got to be said, only scored, fourteen goals and that'sdefinitely where the worries come for this team they've played a lot easierteams and they're going to be playing in the tournament and they've beenstruggling to school goals. They don't have that much creative talent, movingforward defensively, they're, pretty rock solid, a bit like Iceland that wesaw the then sixteen years who obviously had that infamous run into. Ithink the quarter fiance it was beating England, but Yeah Timo Peruke, behonest, is really the only player of note. I Know Lucas heredity is there agoalkeeper been a legend of Labor...

...cousin for a long time? Not Don't thinkyou still the Aracama a gone to Frankfort or something, but I could bewrong. I could be getting at mixed up. I could be getting the clubs completelywrong, but I know he was a good one is legatee for a while, and Timo proke hadanother good year for Norrich and the championship, so he should be coming inred hot form and he is about the only player. I know. To be honest, I knowthey have Camara the centime from Rangers. He had obviously a good yearin that rain is title winning season of dominance with Steven Gerard. This isthere. I don't know women last time they made a your opinion championshipor if they ever have, I'm sure they have, because it had some good playerslike ye are litman and but they aven't made a last four big ear: European AlWorld Tournaments and they're really a surprise package. No one knows whatwe're going to get from Finland and then looking at rush up the fourthteaming group B. Seventeen points out of their last ten, so on par withFinland, but they've actually had an easier schedule, believe it or not. They've scored twenty goals, so Goll scorings not as much as an issue forthem, but defensively they're, very, very leaky, conceding sixteen, which isright up there, the worst of the tournament, so that's a little bitconcerning they didn't make the quarter finals of the twenty eighteen World Cup,but that was in Russia, which I think definitely need to be taken intoaccount before that. The last three big international tournaments to place whatended in the group stage so yet look. They are too many key players of notethey're, more just a very compact, solid unit, wise say that and they'vegot one of the worst defensive records in the competition. But AlexanderGolovin is probably the name. Everyone do as he put plies his trade for Monicain Ilega. He is their star player very creative. Remember one of his one oftheir friendlies. The other day pin is ball to the back post. I might havebeen off side sing, but it was a delicious ball. Zuba is a very wellknown name but yet Golovin. If they're...

...going to go on a bit of a run, look tosee, it may be a little bit bit of a break out from him. This tournamentGolovin this year, he's been really good in terms to keep passes, ranked tenth in terms of key passesacross the Big Five Leagues. So He's had a pretty good year for Monaco is probably going to be playing a wing offoff an edge for this Russian team. They don't really play with a CAM, so he'sprobably going to be playing off a wing and hopefully we're going to see a lotof balls in to Zoba from him. So it's going to be interesting to see how theyplay gains for Group B are going to beshared between Denmark and Russia so copenhag and will be hosting all threeof demarks games. Russia will be hosting rushes to and then the othergame between Belgium and Finland. I believe it's being played at SaintPetersburg for Russia, not Moscow, and now in terms of a prediction, we willonce again use the match. Predictor on the euro website, so looking at Denmark,Finland look, I can't see Finland scoring to many goals to be honestagainst these teams. We just mentioned that Belgium of a good defense. Denmarkhave a good defense, Russias isn't great, but yeah. I just don't sit inscoring too many girls. So I'm going to say Denmark, I'm actually going to backhim in and I'm going to say they win three Neil here I think demi might comeout of the gates. Hot Belgian rush up, it is in Russia, do believe yeah it'sin Russia, so that could play a fact or not. I know the crowd capacity is adifferent for every city, so that's going to be something we're going totake into account, but for me, Belgium, it is going to be too strong for Russia.Russia's defense is very leaky, so I could see Belgium scoring four goalsand I don't think Russia gain on the scorched. To be honest, that moves usinto match day to where Finland and Russia is actually the opening game ofthe Round Fina Russia war. I would like...

...to get around Pinem, but I just thinkbecause it's in Russia, it's really really not going to help the finishside, but you know what let's show film lit a bit of Love: Let's go to all drawneither defenses sensational, neither attack or sensational, but let's hopefor open affair that just they just throwhaymakers in one another, the demark, Belgium, two very, very solid teams. Ihave a bit more faith in Belgian than demark in terms of being a bit moreconsistent, but it isn't Copenhagen that could play a factor. So I'mactually going to say a Georgia once again, as I said in the first game, so not saying bedim going to win all threegames which is interesting and then moving into match day. ThreeFillan Belgium look could be nasty for Finland. To be honest, I'm going to sayfor Neil actually we'll go three, because they do have a better defensethan Russia and then for Russia. Demark. It is in Copenhagen. Demark are thebetter side. Russia S got a sold attack the SAGO to one to demark, so that willbe it for group. Be deviling up some of those results. I Have Belgium finishingon top finishing above demark or gold difference. I've got them having a goldofferance of Seven de Mark with four, both picking up seven points. Movingthrough to the knockout stage: I've, Russia, finishing third, on golddifference both picking up one point: Russia. I have a negative five GodFrence Finland, negative six. Russia won't go through. So if you listen tothe Group A preview, I basically ruled out Switzerland, so look out, I'm goingto have to maybe start showing some love to some of the third place teams.Obviously it's hard to predict because there will be some upsets that we justdon't see coming, but it's going to be interesting to see how group beunfolded, whether I've got anything close to that. So if we are doing twogroups an episode, this will be the end of episode, one of the Euro preview andyou will be able to find group ND preview very very soon. Otherwise this will be the end of thesecond episode and you'll be able to...

...find the group see preview very raresoon. Likewise, so thanks for Trani in again, let me know how you think up bewill unfold, whether I've been harsh on filling or Russia, whether I've beentoo nice to Belgium and Denmark. Let me know your thoughts and we'll move intogroups, see on the next episode.
