Cheese. He's settle. Welcome back to the on the ball podcast. This is episode eighty eight of the show. Welcome back, Piach. How I you, mate. Thanks right, unreal mate. How are you? Yeah, I'm pretty good as well. Actually, nice weather today, Melbourne. Always lists of spirits. But once again back to talk about the NFL in real life. Week eleven review these. I'm coming through the back end of my uni exam, so the podcast content might start to get a bit more creative in about a week's time, but we'll definitely be keeping these NFL ones up because we're loving them at the moment. We've changed the structure a little bit today, but pretty similar all in all. With scrapped the match of the week. Bit of a pointless way to start it, so I reckon. We just get straight into the meat and Vegge of the episode, the winners and losers. A lot of winners, a lot as loses. This week there was a quite a few upsets. Are Actually I can. Yeah, but who's your winner of the week? Or One of your winners? Taysom Hill? He surprisingly got the start over Jamis this week and he easily led the saints to a win over Falcons division rivals. It was solid through the air, nothing special, but rush for two touchdowns and got them a good win. So that's really good for his career, I'd say. And he's he's going to remain the starter in in your leans until breeze comes back, you'd think. Yeah, and like it's a big couple weeks for him because this is likely going to be Moll it's like most likely going to beet breezes last season. So who knows, if Taysom keeps this up, he could all of a sudden be the guys going to replace breeze and New Orleans, or at least for next year, and they might see how it goes. But yeah, hundred percent big week for him. I was pretty skeptical. I think we both were. I think we thought it was pretty stupid they weren't playing Jamis, but obviously Sean Payton knows more than us, so fair play to them. And Yeah, I think he's he has a solid contract, but I was reading something about it today. There's like a way he can earn more next year or something if he meets a few requirements and then moving on from there, he can earn a lot more if he plays well and over the next few weeks. So yeah, great start to his qb career in the NFL and will be interesting to see how he goes this week. My first winner of the week is the seahawks defense. They finally rocked up to a match kept Kyle Murray's Arizona Cardinals to just twenty one points. A lot of the NFC teams have a big deficiency and this was the seahawks main thing. Their defense had been pretty bad all year and yes, Kyle's injury did help a lot. He wasn't running as much because they didn't want to risk him getting hit with his shoulder injury, but still keeping a divisional a wild car opponent, however you want to view the cardinals to the Seahawks to twenty one points a huge reason why they ended up winning the game. They kept Kenyan drake to two point six yards per carry and they kept deandre Hopkins and Christian Kirk both pretty contained, which is not the easiest task. So huge week for the seahawks defense. All of a sudden you could see away that the seahawks can win the NFC if that defense does start to fire and moving forward in the seahawks have like one of the easiest schedules remaining till playoffs, so it's going to be interesting to see if their defense can keep it up. I know they don't have the toughest matchup this week against...

Philly, so it'll be interesting to see if they can keep a keep a lit on whence in the offense? There but good signs in the seahawks in terms of their defense, definitely, because we know they can do it on offense. So d you reckon they are a chance to win the NFC or do you still think we haven't seen enough from them yet? Now I'm going to say they they won't win the NFC, that I think the packers and the saints are clearly better still. Yeah, who would you take right now out of the bucks and the seahawks and chuck the Rams into that? Actually, who are you taking out of those three most likely to win? Well, let us little spoiler. Were about to do our NFC standings, but I've got the rams winning that division over the seahawks. Yeah, interesting. Interesting. Do you rate the bucks or not? Really, have you gone off them now? I've got box above seahawks as well. Interesting, interesting. So, yeah, big couple weeks for the SEAHAWKS. The got a key working on that defense if they have any hope of doing things. But good stuff for them. Do you have any other winners you want to mention? Yes, Sir Andy Dalton. Sir, he's not at him of night, at him because he's he's finally delivered. He played two or three games before getting can cassed and Bendernuti came in, but he looked pretty Boris in those games and as a result, the cowboys looked like shit. But this week tough game against the Vikings, who have been in great form, and Dalton rocked up got the boys over the line. Believe it was in Minnesota. Not a hundred percent sure about that, but yeah, huge win for the cowboys and that's very good signs for Dalton and the cowboys going forward. Yeah, Dallas and Washington were my winners, actually two of my winners, both both of the same reasons. Basically, they had both have big wins over the weekend. They went from unlikely chances at winning the NFC east to both becoming genuine chances. are over overnight. Basically. Yeah, as you mentioned, Dallas upset the Vikings. They held down and cook to four point three yeards for carry, which I thought it was pretty impressive given what they had given up to pass running offenses in over the season. And yes, the Elan and Jefferson did cause them a lot of havoc, but to keep the Vikings to thirty one points, to twenty eight points. So that they did. They did sold there and, as you said, Dolton leading the cowboys to scoring thirty one points. It's a pretty good effort. In terms of Washington, though, they got lucky against the bangles. The bengles missed to field goals in the first half. Both hit the post, I believe, and then burrow went down, obviously around halftime, and then in the second half Ryan Finlay went three for ten, including an interception. So Washington got away with one there. They probably wouldn't have won it if burrowed in go down, but look out in the NFC, she'll take what you can get at the moment. And now that puts them tight on the same level of wins as all the other teams, despite being perceivably worse. But based on the five thirty eight algorithm. I don't know if you're aware of that website, but they have like mathematical models to predict all sorts of things. But at the moment their NFC east percentages are Washington said, eighty percent chance of winning it, Dallas Twenty three percent, giants twenty five percent, Eagles thirty five percent. So very close. They're still the two outsiders. But they play each other this week, Dallas and Washington, and if Dallas win they become the favorite and if Washington win and Seattle beat Philadelphia, which is what we would expect, then Washington actually becomes the favorite. So huge week this match. But yeah, big, big week for these two teams. Obviously, with Philadelphia losing as well to the Browns, highlights how good their weeks were. So but yeah, Dallas, they go into NFC favorites and for me personally at the moment, just with their remaining fixed, I just...

...think even though the Eagle probably have a more solid team, considering dolden is the QB in Dallas, I just don't know. Back Dallas at the moment. Who Do you reckon is going to win that one out of Dallas and Washington? May? Yeah, I think Dallasall win that one quite easily, and it's in Dallas as well. Yeah, I can't if they can stop the vikings run, they should be able to stop Washington's run. And then look, look, Alex Smith is not a bad quarterback, but if you if you're putting it down to Alex Smith having to cook to beat you, you're looking pretty good to win that. So yeah, I'd definitely go Dallas there and all of a sudden they're almost will not a lock, but they're looking very good for playoffs. But yeah, as I mentioned, Philly had a shocker once again. I think they've been in the losers section, along with the Ravens, more team, more times than any other team are. They lost to the browns. Only gave up one touchdown and they still lose to a lost which is kind of been the story their season. Their defense has been pretty outstanding and their offense just hasn't really been able to back that up. Went through two interceptions, miles sanders had a fumble. Travis Fulgan, for the second week in a row, was the most targeted receiver and he walked away with one catch. In terms of my votes, I know this isn't the bell and end all, but I do a top ten for each week and whence is now one of only two quarterbacks who hasn't pulled at all in any week. Out of any quarterback with more than six starts, Nick foles is the only other to do that. So at the moment that's not happen. Even really a great, yeah, position to be in. I think that's because drew lock and can both picked up votes for the first time over the weekend. But yet not good. From whence he considering? You know, you got blokes like Joe flacco have already pulled. And Yeah, moving forward, they've the seventh hardest schedule in the in the competition, whereas Dallas have the twenty nine hardest and New York have the twenty hardest. So, yeah, interesting. What do you stand? I heard I was listened to a podcast say it talked about this for a little bit. Do you think they should bench, bench Caston Wentz and give jail and hurts a crack? Not? Yeah, I think I had. I saw a Doug Peterson say that if they did that then it would be giving up on the season and I completely agree with that. Like they're still real snips for the playoffs. I don't think I can't really see hurts taking them there. Yeah, fair enough, fair enough. Whence definitely needs to lift though, if he wants to keep his job there in the in the long term. WHO's directing? The other winner direct and will see went to the another team next season? I don't know. It's a tough one. I think the eagles have a soft spot for him because they saw what he could do in like two thousand and seventeen or eighteen when he was leading MVP at the halfway point of the season. But yeah, it's getting to the point now where if he hasn't really been able to take advantage of this situation this year, where the rest of the divisions been absolutely crap, it's kind of like, well, when's he going to step up to the plate? I think they would give him one more year, to be honest. I don't think they would pull the pin on him yet, but I think next year, jail and hurts like it would, he would be a genuine chance to become the starter, like in the midpoint of the season. But JAREK and he should go somewhere else. Would you reckon? I think it depends a bit, but I don't know. Yeah, obviously depends, because if they make the playoffs somehow winning game, then all of a sudden. Yeah, he's a hero. So, but if they really believe in hurts, then I could see them shipping went off next season. Yeah, the thing is, like, what was the point of getting him? Like if they don't make playoffs this year and they like I think, if they miss out on playoffs, who show? I think they should give it to hurts next year, because otherwise, what was the point of way listing a second round pick on a QB...

...if you're not going to back them in? Because, yeah, but yeah, I probably agree with their stick for Wentz in the short term and then, if things change, maybe look elsewhere. But yeah, do you have another winner you want to mention? Now got two winners to losers. I've got a couple more winners to mention. So my first winner, of my second, like I don't know how to say that, but my third win. I think I'm up to now. I've got quite a few here today. Big Win over the packers. It was the Indianapolis Colts backtoback weeks of scoring thirty four points. Their defense is still pretty solid, but they held the packers to twenty eight points, which is pretty good achieving. But satistically, their pass defense isn't actually that good. It's like the middle of the road, but they seem to just pull out the big plays when it matters, which is like, as a defense, that's all that really matters. Jonathan Taylor finally showed something and I think that might be due to the fact that they're they're passing game is starting to pick it up and that's going to cause defenses to look at the past more, where before they were just purely running. So I can tailor. Will have a bit more room to work with there and hopefully could hits hit some form get moving into the playoffs for them. And this week they've got the titans once once again. They only played them two weeks ago or something, but if they beat the titans this week, based on that five hundred thirty eight algorithm, they go up to an eighty five percent chance of winning the division. So huge match this week, but the colds are put themselves in a very good position of making the playoffs when seemingly it looked like two weeks ago that they were going to miss out. So yeah, it's been a big fortnight for the colts and but they've got to top it off here with a win. I reckon because if they lose here, then all of a sudden that feels like the bubbles burst a little bit. But I think. I think they're going into this times match. It's favorite. Do you like them against the titans or actually think the titans are going to win and consequently win the division? But in the the real deal they've looked really good over the past month or so and yeah, I could see them going deep into the playoffs. Yeah, it's it's a huge amount because with the state of the AFC wild card picture being so packed, there's so many good teams in there, you want to make sure you win the division used to confirm your spot, because we've seen with the ravens they're now out of the picture at the moment. They're sitting in the eight spots. So yeah, it's pretty cut throat in that wild cut situation. So huge game this week, but massive win for the colts over the packers. And then my final two winners. I just mentioned the AFC wild card picture and so I'm going to mention the Cleveland Browns and the loss Vegas Raiders. Miami and Baltimore both lost and that's all. The browns and the raiders stocks increase hugely. The raiders did lose, however, it was like a final minute loss to the chiefs, so it's pretty like. If anything, their stocks probably rose, in my opinion, and the browns one an ugly game against Philadelphia. To win a match with one TV shows that they're they've got it solid defense as well. The raiders have the second easiest fixture remaining, which is also a good thing for them. And the browns they're up to seven wins and I feel like they haven't really fully clicked yet. I don't know about you, but all their wins seem to be in weird fashioned so who knows, all of a sudden, if they could find some form moving into the playoffs and they sneak into that wildcut spot, they could be a dangerous side, because if you're a team with seven wins and you haven't played at your full potential yet, that's pretty frightening. And then themselves have the nights eat ninth easiest fixture this week for the rest of the season. And they've got the jags this week and you would expect them to win that, which would take them to eight and three, and from that point it would be pretty hard to see them miss the playoffs. So big winners with the browns and the raiders. I reckon ye who we all loses me. Yeah, I can't believe that browns are seven and three, to be honest. Yeah, it's crazy. I don't like. I don't know how...

...they've gotten to that point. But yeah, but Um, she obvious huge loser and it's not his fault, but Joey Borrow. Yeah, cop to freak, freak injury tour pretty much every single thing in his knee. It's going to be out for minimum twelve months, apparently, so people. Some people are saying he's like going to be ready for round one and I just don't understand how that's possible because I'm pretty sure he's going to need a minimum of twelve months if we go off how long it takes AFL players to recover from that sort of thing. But I'm yeah, he's likely going to miss a lot of next season and yeah, it's just really unlucky. But hopefully you can bounce back. Yeah, usually the earliest you can come back from an acls like nine months. Yeah, it would be round one, but but he's doing everything. Yeah, exactly that. That's a clean acl where with other stuff. Yeah, I don't see that happening. Yeah, there he's. The Bangles is a whole of one of my loss sadly, borrow going down, as you mentioned, but as we were just discussing, I didn't even think he'll be back for around one next year, which probably means. Well, we can easily put a pencil through this year and probably means we can put a pencil through next season as well, which is a sad thing to see. YEA, as for Bengals fans, but I think this is an opportunity for the bangles. Their offenses look pretty good this year, but I think it's a good chance for them to look at their defense. They've got a how long they got to the rest of the season? They go likes five weeks, six weeks to work out what is decent on their defense and then they've got to look next year in the offseason how they can improve that, because they've got the offense. Now, they've got their stark quarterback and now they've got to start to build a decent defense to help him out, because can't have can't make him school forty points every week to win. So I think that's probably their mission for the rest of the season. So it's not all completely doomed, but yet not great son lines when you can pretty much pencil put a line through two seasons based off one injury. So yeah, and as angles, another extremely important thing they need to do is just build that offensive line because, yeah, B I was being sacked on average about eight times every single week and that has cost him a year of his career. Yes, cross him an acl so yeah, they need to get a better offensive line. Yeah, Hundre snic handy agree with that. To tell you, are not not great things for the Bangles. My who's your other loser the week, because I've got a few, so you hit us for that one. Yeah, another obvious one. Tom Brady had a bit of a stinker of a performance against the rams. Rams are very good defense, but Brady did not look good at all and he's been copying quite a bit of criticism for his performance on social media. Our Mate Curtis was absolutely abusing him, calling him a bottom five quarterback in the NFL, which is a little bit harsh. But yeah, Brady will not like that at all and I think he's going to bounce back as he always does. Yeah, but yeah, he's he's definitely he's caught the spotlight for all the bad reasons this week. Yeah, I understand. Agreed. The box as a whole, they're staying to look a bit shape. Like they've had a couple like blips. You can say, yeah, fair enough, it's a weird year, but all of a sudden they've had four or five bad games and then you start to question are they actually good team anymore? So yeah, big, big couple weeks coming up. They've got the chiefs this week, which is a huge game in prime time. So going to be interesting to see how that one goes down, because their primetime record absolutely sucks so far this year. Think they're like Owen for something. So I think they're one and three, but the win was against the giants. So yeah, and then him to livet and yeah, exactly. So Brady needs to lift.

Their teams are whole needs to lift. They're running games being pretty awful of late as well. So yeah, a lot of things in that buck and his team needs to improve, but it's got to start with the quarterback. And Yeah, hundred percent agree with their mate. My I'll start with the ravens. Like I don't want to half of them too much. They've basically been in the losers section every single week. But whilst a tight game to the times and overtime, they got Derrick Henry in the last quarter, happens pretty much every week, and in overtime it wasn't actually the worst performance. I then the times are pretty good team, but for me the issue is the current playoff pitcher. They're now out of it and it's done to look a little bit worrying. They don't have the toughest schedule moving forward that they play a few good size obviously the stealers this week. So I still think they're a good chance to make in the playoffs, but it's starting to look a bit worrying at the moment. They've had their in really bad form. The Times are starting to become the bogue team almost. They just seem to not be able to get over that hurdle. But given how packed that AFC wild card picture is, yeah, I'd be starting to get a little bit nervous if I was a Baltimore Fan, because they've still got covid issues, they're still got injury issues, especially on defense. Well, now they've got it in offense as well, with the running back situation this week. So yeah, bit, bit worrying for the Ravens. Like I don't think they're out of it at all. I think they're still likely to make it, but yeah, yeah, they they needed turn the tide very quickly, otherwise that AFC while cut pitch might get a little bit too crowded for them. So yeah, warring signs. They're my second last one in the packers. I know you're a big fan of the packers, so you probably won't like them to being here, but they lost a big game to the colts and that's they've only played two teams with positive records at the time and the colts are one of them and the buccaneers with the other. So they've had a very soft draw draw. They have the lowest strength of victory of any NFC team with more than four wins. So it's fair to say they've been like they've been bloody loved by the NFS NFL fixturing department. But yeah, easier strength of schedule in the NFC all season and they are only seven and three. So look, I don't think they're bad team at all. It's more just a concern of whether they're going to be able to do it in the playoffs, given how light their regular season fixture has been. The face flee one the NFC north. But in the grand scheme of things, this loss was pretty big in my opinion. Yeah, I'm just going to bit worried about the packers now. There is no clear standout in the NFC, which is in their favor, but yet they keep having slip ups in the big games that we want to see, something that makes us think they're solid candidates to win NFC, and they did not provide that for us this week. But there's actually quite a few good games this week and they are in one of them, the bears. It's probably not going to be the most attractive game to watch, but it'll be interesting to see how they go up against one of the other biggest defenses in the competition after losing to both the bucks and the colts. So it'll be a good test for the Rogers and his men. Finally, the dolphins and my final loser. They've now actually will get to this in a bit bit of a little bit of a sneak preview. They've lost. They've exited my playoff pictures. Sorry. After their loss to the broncos tour was obviously been should fits. He has been talked about a lot. It was part injury, though, but I also do believe as part performance and fits. He actually outperform tour as soon as you got in. So they're not they're starting tour again. I'm not saying they're going to bench him this week or anything, but questions probably going to be asked. I actually reckon right now fits. He is the better man for the job, but I know they're kind of looking ahead at the future as well. But yeah, the broncos held them to thirteen points. They are a good defense, but that's not really good enough for a team vying for a division win, division title, win. The broncos defensive line absolutely killed...

...the dolt dolphins aline. The Dolphins Cubi's got sacked six times and on the ground they only went three points three yards per carry. So yeah, worrying signs for that dolphins offense. It just was not moving at all. And I was having a little look at their results and they actually have the lowest strength of victory in the AC of any team with more than four wins. Going forward, they have the easiest fixture remaining, but the A as I keep mentioning that AFC wild card pictures absolutely stacked. So with the way that offense is performing at the moment, I think the defense kind of sugar coated their last couple weeks with a few touchdowns and special teams as well. But yeah, now as soon as they don't put it put a score up, then we see that this offense really isn't functioning that well. Big Game this week, though, against the jets. This is got to be a huge bounce back game for two I reckon. I reckon is him for a big one. But yeah, I'm start to get a little bit worried about the dolphins after being pretty high in them of late. But yeah, that's all I've got for my losers. Before we get into the next one, just to reminder to feel free to get around the potty. I've got to mention it earlier. I should have said earlier, but I well, if you if you're still listening, feel free to subscribe or if you're on spotify or podcasts, feel free to like review. The potty would be greatly appreciated. Or predicted. Way Off. Bracket mate dot join us. Just do it. Do you have your original predictions? or You just going completely fresh last week. I'm going fresh or start of the NFC? NFC. Yeah, all right, so I've I've got the seedings and everything. So, sad one I'm going with the packers over the saints. Little bit biased, but I still back them in back in Rodgers to get it done and the saints don't have drew brees for at least probably another month. Saints to Rams to take out the west and the giants to take out of the east. Still I think it's a little thing in the gene. Then I think it's between them and the cowboys at this point. Yeah, obviously anyone's game, but I think they're the two favorites and the giants have actually looked a lot better recently. And I've got the buccaneers, seahawks cardinals running out the wild card spots. Yeah, I've got very similar to you, just a bit of a different order. Looking at last week, my changes are the packers. I've demoted them from the number one seed to the number three seed. Actually, the saints have bumped up from the second to first. The seahawks have bumped up from third two. I have now got the cowboys winning the NEC East as opposed to the eagles. The buccaneers have dropped from my fifth seed to my sixth seed, the cardinals have dropped from my sixth seed to my seventh seed and the rams have jumped up from outside the pit che to up to the fifth seed. So a lot of changes. The Vikings are all dropped out after their loss to the cowboys. Now got all three NFC west Lads and making it, which would be pretty elite from them. But yeah, that's what we're looking at the moment. Very close, so pretty it's weird this nfced like conference. We look at it is the week one, but then if you see the bucks and the cardinals and my sixth and seventh seed, all of a sudden it's like not the worst conference come around. But yeah, a couple big games in that conference this week. What about the AFC, mate, what do you think in here? So the AFC is impossible to pick because, as you just said, it yeah, absolutely stacked. But I'm sticking with the chiefs at number one. I think. I think they'll win out go fifteen and one and the steelers will lose at least one game and the chiefs will get the number one steelers to titans over the cults at three and then the bills to win the east. Yeah, and then I've got Baltimore, fifth seed. I think they're going to go...

...eleven and five or twelve and four after Pittsburgh this week, which is my upset of the week. They've got a really easy schedule and yet I could see them winning out if they go twelve and four after the season they've had. That's actually insane. I'm pretty sure they're hard. It'd been like the weirdest Bloum for of all time. Yeah, I'm pretty sure their hardest game is the browns after Pittsburgh this week. And Yeah, I'll beat the browns like this is just recency bias, but it feels like they've had the worst year ever. But they went like five and one at the start or something's yeah, just spin a bizarre we year for them. And then colts, number six, and then number seven. I'm sticking with the Miami Dolphins. The seven seeds, the hard one. So you browns and raiders missing arounds and raiders missing out. I think we are. The Brown still have to play the Ravens. And have they played Pittsburgh twice yet? I think just yes. So they got to play the Ravens on Pittsburgh and, as you said before, Miami ever, really easy remaining schedule. Yeah, so I'm going to give him the nod. Yeah, my my change. I've still got the steers, chiefs bills as my one, two three, and then my've had a change in the AFC south winner. I've changed it from the times to the colts. I reckon after their win, after the last four nights. Form of gained a bit of faith in the colts, especially on offense. I've got the ravens dropping from my fifth seed to my seventh seats. Still got them sneaking in there. The Times and now my fifth seed after dropping out from my inner AFC winning spot. And then, Oh, I actually did have the raiders last week. They are my seventh seed. They're now my sixth seed after a strong showing against the chiefs. And that means the dolphins have actually dropped out completely. I know it's pretty harsh, but yeah, I've got them just missing out. And then the browns. They're they're completely out of it as well for me. So, yeah, very hard to pick theo. That AFC wild card picture is insane. Yeah, actually is. And the thing in the AFC you actually, if you come sick do you're like a genuine chance because there's out of from third to six, like they're all similar level. So if you can get that sixth spot all of a sudden, like you're a chance to go on a bit of a run. I guess the same applies for the NF. See if we've got the bucks in the cardinals sixth or seventh or whatever. So yeah, it's looking like a pretty juicy playoff picture of the moment. Excited for it already. Next, next segment. We've got the offensive with our weekly awards. So the week eleven awards. Offensive players of the week. Who Are you? Who Are you? Three here, three, Oh, if you've just got one, that's that's fine. Three for each pozsi. Now just in total, like, sorry, I've done one purposition. That that's that's fine, but my one or all different positives. Actually, it's to be honest. Yeah, yeah, okay, I'll go. Okay, number three. I'm going to go Derrick Henry. Hundred and thirty three rushing yards, one rushing touchdown against a pretty tough Baltimore Defense and he scored that winning touchdown and over time to get the win. Yeah, we already know he's an absolute beast, but does it week in, week out, and had another great game. Yeah, I feel like he's been going under the radar the last month, to be honest. They've played some real tough defense has and he's been just quietly putting up numbers and everyone's kind of focused on downd and cook, but Henry, he's just quietly going to work. But yeah, and he he's upcoming schedule is like the juiciest thing ever. He could have two hundred rushing yards a game. And Yeah, I'm going with Robert Woods as my second player of the week. buccaneers very tough defense and Woods and cup absolutely killed them. Whether you can put it down to Micvay's system...

...or them to balling out, I'm not sure. But Woods had a unreal match. Twelve catches, hundred thirty yards and a touchdown, and it's looking like him and cup might be back in business for the last. Yet they do look back. Yeah, lots of back. He's final the only number one deshawn Watson got got the Texans over the Patriots. I reckon you can call it an upset. I mean they're both pretty bad, but I would have had that they had. I yeas as favorite hatred, where the favorites, I think. Yeah, I think it was close, but yeah, Watson absolutely balled out three hundred fifty yards to touchdowns in a rushing touchdown. He's been going under the radar like a lot or reckon just because the Texans have been real bad, so people are just forgetting about them. But he's probably been a top five quarterback this season, arguably. Yeah, Deshaun Watson Fan like I've frothed them ever since I've started watching NFL. I think he's a top five quarterback for sure. Yeah, love what the man does. Yet he was one of my players, who is my second guy. My third guy was Travis Kelcey. Actually, even though, like everyone knows, he's one of the best tight ends at the moment, I feel like he still goes a little bit unloved just because he's a tight tight end on a wide receiver, but he actually dominates every single week and this game he took over. He had a hundred thirty one total yards, including a match winning touchdown in the final minutes. So Travis Kelcey and Patrick homes one of the one of the goat connections at the moment. Yep, Deshaun Watson was one, number two and then my number one was Adam Steel and actually bawled out against the cowboys. He'd been having a bit of a lull in the midseason. He's started world good opening month, then he went a bit quiet and then the last two weeks he's been back in force, now that dalven cooks kind of slowing down a little bit. By slowing down I mean he's getting like ninety a hundred yards, not three hundred. But yeah, he did. Playing a loss. It's probably cost his team a playoff chance, but he had a hundred and twenty three yards from scrimmage. Called the ball twice in the end zone, including did you see his catch? One of his catches in the back corner was insane by the one hand up. Yeah, it's it's such. He's done that too. Looks in the road. He's got, he'd some of the best hands in the game. But yeah, he actually killed it. I love him. Him and Jefferson are looking like one of well, just talked about cup and woods, obviously one of the premier one and two wide receiver COMBOS, but Theana. Jefferson already look like one of the best. Right up there for sure. I'd probably have them above woods and cup. Yeah, actually, probably agree with you. Jefferson's a freak. Honorable Mentions, I'll shoutout kirk cousins, even though in a loss, I thought he played pretty well. Derrick Henry, as you mentioned, Dalvin Cook. So a lot of Vikings love here and a bad loss. Damian Bird. He started the season well and then Jacoby Myers took over, but he had a big game. And then yet Robert Woods and your man Keenan Allen on track. He broke the record for the most receptions in the charges game, I believe, and as you pointed out to me earlier this week, he's on track to beat Michael Thomas has record. So of most receptions ever in a season. He's not which he's not did last me, but he's well, he's a good sniff. We were looking at it before. Yeah, I think you need bag. He need now. I needs like ten or eleven receptions a game to get it. Surely's averaging that. There's a freak. He gets pepper that he's only averaging eight, but that he came off early in one of them and one of the game with Hal Taylor. So yeah, it's head the cupping at its finest offensive rookie of the week we going with here. So for me it was obviously John US and Herbert man is an absolute freak. Three hundred and sixty six yards,...

...three touchdowns. was against the jets, but he bought out. But I do want to give a shout out to my boy, Clyde Edwards. A lair that broke, is an absolute machine. Riders are a pretty good run defense this season, just quietly, and he here on they had luck. Fourteen, fifteen attempts. We took them for seventy yards and two touchdowns. Pretty much rippen them to shreds. Five yards of carry and yeah, he's he's going to be a freak. Yeah, he's my offensive Brookie of the week, Big Clyde. Yeah, as you mentioned, raiders, just quietly I've been a top ten rush defense and s start of October and him and love bell are starting to become a pretty solid complimentary duo in the backfield for the chiefs. Obviously the lime light goes to the likes of Tyre Kill, Travis Kelce Patrick Mahomes, but they've quietly been going about their business. They can bind for three touchdowns on the weekend. Bell like. I'll be honest, I wasn't really an NFL die hard when bell was at his peak, but just from the things I saw there, like he's like a gazelle. He likes stands up so tall and he just kind of like strolls around and then he just bein moves blokes. It's so weird. But yeah, Clive's an absolute bull up the middle. So they're a pretty good combo to watch. Honorable Mentions. Jk Dobbins had a bit of a breakout game and Antnio Gibson also big reason why Washington got up over the bangles. Obviously pretty favorable matchup that one. And Yeah, Jefferson and Herbert all played very well. Just quickly. Defensive Player of the week for me Olivia Vernon, defensive end of the Cleveland Browns. I've heard of this fog's name before but I didn't know too much about him. But yeah, Miles Garrett wasn't playing this week. Who's then normal past rushing beast, but Vernon stepped up in his absence. Huge reason why the browns one with only one touchdown. He had three sacks, one for a safety. Had three tackles for a loss, which is probably the most underrated defensive staff because that's basically a sack just for the running back. But anyway, that's another story for another day. But yet he absolutely killed it all. Right, game picks a bit of without in a bit more source to this section. This week we've got an upset of the week, a shure bet of the week, and then I've been listening to a few NFL like gambling podcast. I myself don't dabble in it. Peeled you get around it a little bit. So we're going to talk about some of the spreads that we like, but before we get into actually they might be some of your upsets and short bet so we'll start with that. WHO's your upset of the week? Yeah, my upset of the week is the Ravens to beat the steelers. I think the Ravens will be revenge game for the Ravens after a pretty poor loss to the titans last week. The titans were actually favorite. I think we were talking about that. Yeah, and we're a bit surprised about it. But yeah, the steelers are heavy favorites in this one, minus five and a half points. So I think there's good value on the Ravens to get up there. Yeah, I agree with you there. I'm a bit worried about their injuries, if I'm honest. Their backfield's being obliterated by Covid but yeah, I definitely think they're being disrespected by the market there. They're still even despite being in bad form, they're still been putting up good results. My upset of the week a bit of an irrelevant one, but just because it's on Thanksgiving it's got some relevance. But the first Thanksgiving game, I reckon the lines are a pretty good chance to beat the Texans. Lines had a disgraceful result on the weekend, like no other way of putting it. They lost twenty nil to the panthers with PJ Walker at the quarterback position. But yeah, I reckon they might bounce back here. I think a lot of it does come back come down to where the swift plays, because I think without swift they're a lot less dynamic on offense. But they could get the probably going to get swift back. They could even get Kenny Goala Day back, and the Texans are...

...actually paying a dollar sixty three in Australian odds. I don't know what that converts to an American odds, but yeah, they're one of the worst run defenses and Detroit have been pretty good on the ground all year. So if swift comes back into the lineup he's in good form. I'm a little bit concerned about Stafford's hand issues. I think he's pulled ligament, strained ligaments in his thumb or something. But yeah, I reckon. They're definitely a smoky. To beat the Lions, they might have to school like thirty plus points, but because their defense isn't great. But yeah, I reckon there are a good chance they're in the early Thanksgiving kickoff. You're sure better the week? Who Do you reckons are guarantee to win their matchup? Yep, just quickly. Stafford's got to be one of the most unlucky blokes of all time. I swear he's just permanently injured. Yeah, but yeah, I sure look like that. Yeah, my sure better the week is the giants to get up over the bengals the job. How lucky are they? Just quietly like? I reckon. The Bangles are actually a pretty nasty opposition with borrow, but without him? Yeah, all right, with borrow, reckon this would be a fifty. But the odds are actually minus five and a half points, which is huge. But I can't really see the giants losing this. There are lines looks better, the whole squads look better recently and Joe Burrows out. So I think it's a short bet. Yeah, like I don't think it will be a pretty win from the giants. Who knows, there could be a statement win, but yeah, I can't really see the bangle scoring more than two touchdowns, if I'm honest, and the giants will score more than that. So yeah, very confident with you there, Danny Dehones, the great man I shool better the week is. This is probably a cop out, but Miami to bounce back and beat the jets. I reckon they're absolutely going to. I reckon they're going to thump them, like I reckon they're going to put forty on them or something like that. Yeah, I reckon they'll let to have a real crack out of they've kind of been limiting him a bit. They haven't been giving him too much passing action. They've been running it a lot. And Yeah, I reckon he's going to have a blind I reckon he's going to have a breakout game. Yes, it is a dog actor. Just pick the Owen ten team to lose, but I'll well, I reckon it's a must win for the dolphins. They've got to win these games if they're going to make the playoffs, and I reckon they'll do exactly that in beautiful fashion. So That's mine. The game spread. What are you interested in here? Yeah, so I've got to hear the first one is the titans plus three and a half be the cults. I actually I think it's to be a very close game and either way point all harm. And Yeah, I just I don't know, I'm probably not respecting it indie enough, just because Phil Rivers. But yeah, I think the titans have a good shot at winning and the fact that it's the fact that they get the fear of goal leeway is pretty big in the are in the spreads. So you don't really see teams winning by four or five points. So either going to be three or six to seven. Yeah, so I think it's I think they're a good shot to cover by three back he then I reckon that. Well, we saw at the colts to a job on them last time, so I reckon they would have been thinking of a few ways to get around their divisional rival there. But yeah, massive game. There's actually a lot of big games this week. Yeah, it's huge. That's probably the biggest of the lot, the one I'm interested in. I've got a few here are look, my linger in the Ben is not that high. But the cardinals and minus two and a half. They're playing the Patriots and I'll be honest, I'm not really sure why the margin is that small. Like I was quite juicy actually. I would have thought that would be like five hundred or something like that. But I check the weather because it's at Fox Bron. We know that's a pretty volatile weather situation. They're Sonny, no rain, no wind, it's a beautiful day. Kylamaro, yes, he's got a broken shoulder or whatever it strained AC joint, whatever it's got going on there. But I still think Deshaun Watson...

...absolutely killed them last week. They lost to a pretty bad texans team. I think cardinals are way too classy to lose this one here. Yeah, and yet, as you said, like I can't see them winning by under a field goal. So, yeah, I'm back in them, in here pretty comfortably. So, like, I like that spread a lot. What's your Stech one here May? Yeah, this is another similar one and it's the raiders three against the Falcons, who absolutely suck it's in it. Yeah, as they do suck. It's in Atlanta and they play in one of those domes which is supposedly a huge, words stadium for watch football on TV. Wow, I hate I don't know, it's hate it. It's like the way the grass is. It's like not the same color or something. I don't know, it's weird. But con the raiders beat the saints out there dome earlier in the season. So yeah, they're just they're just a way better team and like they were almost my sure thing, one of my sure but if I didn't pick, surely they're going to put like fortyer, like yeah, they've been putting thirty plus up against a lot better defenses in the Falcon so I reckon you on too. And a decent factor in this is Julio Jones. If he plays, the Falcons might have a chance of putting up quite a few points. It's going to be a blowout either way. You'd think but if he doesn't play, they're just going to get absolutely obliterated. Yeah, a hundred percent agree with you there. I've got two more. Both of mine rank outsiders, but I reckon they're being a little bit disserviced by the odds. This one's a risky one, so if you actually listening to us to put money on, don't do this. But it's the forty nine is at plus seven. The Rams did just put on back to that clinics against the seahawks and the buccaneers, but I think we're forgetting the forty nine is, even with the injuries, still pretty good team. I think a lot of this depends on injuries. Similar to the July ear thing, devo Samuel is questionable at the moment to play, and then most and Jeff Wilson are both scheduled to come off injury reserve this week, but they haven't officially been named as playing. But they're still solid team without those guys. They've played the pack of the Seahawks, packers and saints, so they're kind of making them look a lot worse than they are, and the game before that was the match they smashed the Patriots like forty two, five or something like that. So, especially if they get most at back, I think that's a huge in because I reckon is adds a lot to their running game, especially and Devo Samuel as well. He adds a lot in the air. But I reckon plus seven is a bit stiff for them. The Rams Aren't the high scoring team gone round. So yes, it's going to be tough for them to score a lot of points against his quality rams defense, but I reckon plus sevens a bit of a disservice to the forty niners. Yeah, and then my final one is the bears. Exact same situation there at plus eight point five against the packers. I do think they're going to lose. Pretty confident they will lose, but I just don't think it's going to be that large of a margin. I was looking through their matches this year. Only one match has had a margin of more than eight points and that was a twenty four to ten loss to the rams. So yeah, with a defense like that it's pretty rare that there's blowout wins. So even though the packers offense is, on payper one of the best in the COMP it hasn't actually been in the greatest of form the last three weeks. So I reckon the bears are pretty harsh to be that badly favored in the betting markets. I reckon they're not that value there either. I agree with that. That's that's way too big. Not. Yeah, yeah, that's like jets numbers. They're that yeah, pain. Like five bucks, are they? Or fourteen there? Or think they're three sixty or something like that. But yeah, I think the packers are actually the biggest favorite this week, which is pretty interesting given the bears aren't bad at all. But...

...anyway, fair enough. So that's all we've got there, unless you want to mention anything else. I actually enjoyed that little last seven there. I don't know why we should do a few. We should do a few more next week. I don't got any yet moment. Yeah, well, maybe bring yeah, I agree with that. I like that a lot. Yeah, will continue changing the structure. Streamline, streamline it. Kick out the bits we don't like, keep the bits we like. But yeah, really appreciate it. If you're still watching or listening at this point.
