Cheers, settle welcome back to the on the wall podcast. This is episode eighty two of the show and we're back for our weekly NFL episode. Welcome back, Peach. How are you mate? Thanks, mate. Good Matte. How are you? Yeah, I'm awesome, very excited to be here. We talked about it last week. So for those who are new here, last week we we've been doing an NFL episode for about a month now and we decided to split it because we had too much to talk about. So today is in real life nfl analysis and then tomorrow will be a fantasy episode because we we love both those sections too much, but we wanted to talk more, so we've decided divided into two episodes. So we've got a bit of different structure for you if you are new to this weekly episode. If you are new, they as well get around, get around the channel and subscribe. Would really appreciate that. Will follow if you're listening and yeah, if you're returning, welcome back. But as usual, will stick to our tradition of starting with match of the week. Pilch, what is your match of the week? Corkosky, not much to choose from this week, to be honest. It's actually shocker, wasn't it? Yeah, are pretty much every match was dog shit, the TV game and actually I don't even know if I watched a full match this week because I didn't wake up early with you, but I went the steel and steelers Ravens. I don't know if it was actually like a good match, but to to top sides close game, it was weird. It was a weird match. So why have you chosen? Just because it was close and it was like a big occasion. Yep, divisional matchup and yeah, two of the best teams in the COMP yeah, it's pretty strange. Like the Ravens dominated, but the steel is they just managed to yeah, it's just a strange game, like their offense. The steels were struggling a lot on offense. Claypool is really the only receiver who got going. I think Juju and Deonte had like two targets between them in the by the fourth quarter and then Juju got going a little bit late, but yet they just had nothing going. I think it was connors. I don't know the stats, but in mark from I test, I think it was kinds worst game of the season. He just couldn't really well they're obviously a great defense, the Ravens, but yeah, he was really struggling against it. Big Ben, we're struggling as well. But yeah, the Ravens Wall over them. They just couldn't score. They just weren't taking advantage of it. Lamar had four turnovers. Pretty hard to lose when your quarterback is giving the ball over four times. And Yeah, I'll talk about Lamar in a little bit as one of my losers for the week. But you know, I was really good game. Not Not worries for the steals. It's almost a good thing that they're winning games. We're not playing at full strength, but yet it was an interesting one, but ravens weren't too far away from from stealing it at the end there. Lamar had like a thirty yard touchdown rule back for a holding call and stuff like that. There was a few things that could have changed the result. One would have hurt yeah, that did hurt the pig. My match of the week is one we didn't watch either. It was the third so in Australia, if you're not from Australia listening, we have two two matches showing in the early the two early time slots on Sunday or Monday for us, and this was the third match in the second time slot, the charges versus the broncos. The broncos ended up running over the top of the charges three to thirty. We were laughing at this game, whren't we? And about the second quarter...

...we were just joking like they're tanking to get Trevor Lawrence or we yeah, we'll just laughing. But yeah, they they want it. In the end they leap frog to the charges for third place in the AC West. They they went twenty one. They scored twenty one points in the final quarter. Denver so huge comeback. Three passing touchdowns from drew lock brought them home on the probably the most significant play of the game. It was about eight seconds left. was a fourth and for. They threw it to the guys getting around last week, Albert, I don't know how to say his last name, Akway, but them or something like that. It was fourth and for on the eighteen yard line and there was a defensive pass interference on the one yard line. So I haven't seen. I assume he was looking like catching it in the end zone so he took him out. But yeah, that gave them that gave them the one yarder to complete with one second to go and he hit up Kj Hamler, the rookie. And yet that's I watched the video. Actually in it there was talking about drafted players who their teams are instantly regretting. In one was KJ hamlow over chase claypool. But Hammler gets one back for the bronchos there. So yeah, huge win for the broncos. They'd been struggling offensively and then they seemed to really light it up in the second half. Fill Lindsay had a fifty five yard and Melbourne. He did nothing all game and then got going on that final drive. Really help them steam down that field at the end there. But yeah, that was a great one, which we could have seen it on TV. For our next section, bit of a new one, kind of similar to what we did last have been doing the last month, but a winners and loses section. So winners can be a player, a team, a conference, a division, a set of like a position of players in the team, could be anything really. So who's your first winner of week eight? Mine actually all teams for this, but I'll start off with the eat the Philly Eagles dusted up the cowboys, as they should of but I'm pretty sure it's kind of fair to say that they're going to win the division now. Like it's kind of take a lot for them not to win now, so they should be happy with that. Yeah, they're not playing well at all. Yeah, they're not playing well and they yeah, they do suck, as you said, but they are definitely looking like a step above the other three at the moment and like, I don't think they'll trouble anyone in the playoffs. Really it's pretty it's a pretty ideal matchup for a wild card team to get, but who knows full strength? They do have a lot of injuries. They are slowly getting better each game, it seems, although whens did have a bit of a shocker this weekend. But yeah, they might hit for by then, I don't know. But yeah, the moment it definitely looks like they'll be there. Maybe seven wins or something like that. That we'll see that. You know, that division kind of surprised US each week. Did you do rate Jaalen Riga? He kind of made it. He made a come back this week and don't think he score. I don't know if he's got a touchdown, definitely scored a two point conversion. Do you think he's going to make a difference to their offense or what? Do you think it's just when it's being crap and it's kind of all over. Well, he's being hyped up quite a lot as one of, luck, the top rookies of this class, where I'm really seen him much yet, but I think I think they're pretty confident that he'll be a god. So hopefully, hopefully does. Yeah, and Anders should be back. Yeah, soon about, because when rather than later, and then hurts as well. He's got to come back from iron. Dallas got it return. I don't think you did much in his return from ire but yeah, once they've got all those guys and then, yes, Deshan Jackson is still in Jard and what's happening with our Sean Jeffrey? But they slowly will start to get better. Lane Johnson, I know, is one of their better tackles, one of the better tackles in the league. He's been out as well. So you know, all of a sudden they a few pieces come back into that puzzle...

...and Philly aren't looking too bad. But yeah, hundred percent I think we can pencil them in for the playoffs there. But you'd be liking your lips really if you were the number one wild card. YEA, so almost worth tanking to to get the number one wild card spot. It's actually interesting, interesting thought. My first win is your man. I hope I'm not stealing your thunder here, but Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals as a whole. They've had a pretty frustrating fortnight with honorable losses. You never it's always a tough one, and honorable loss because you're happy you're not getting thumbed, but then at the same time you want, you know, reward for your hard work. So they went within inches of beating the colts and then again the browns last week. They were within a score of winning those two games. But yeah, the Bangles notched up their second win of the season against an informed Tennessee titans team going to this week. I probably consider them the third scene in the AFC, behind the chief in the steels, so highly ranked team. And Yeah, the Bengals beat them. Just some points to mention that are impressed me with this one. They had five drives for longer than five minutes. So if you look at the box scores. Tennessee actually like dominated them. They ran like a hundred and fifty yards on the ground and then they went like, I think tanners had over to fifty yards in the air or something like that, and the bengals didn't go anywhere near that. But yeah, they just slowly ground. They just grind it out a win, which is good to see against a good team. But yeah, five drives for longer than five minutes, including a five minute and forty two drive in the ladder part of the fourth quarter which really just sealed the deal. Lots of lots of small completions. They're from burrow, just controlled footy, smart play, and from net moving on here forward with the Bangles. They've got the steels this week, which will be pretty hard one for them, I have to admit. Then they've got the by and the then after the by they've got Washington, the giants, the dolphins and the cowboys. So yes, the bangs on the greatest of sides. They've been a bit inconsistent, but they are a genuine chance of winning three of those matches, if not all, for and if they go for and for there we could be seeing them at a five hundred record, which would be pretty remarkable given them. They've got a rookie quarterback and last year they only won two matches. So positive signs. And Cincinnati they did trade away one of their better defensive players. Colors done lap to the seahawks, but I don't think you really wanted to be there anyway, so it's probably fair play. But yeah, positive science for the Bangles. They've got a good, exciting young crop of players, so love to see it really yep, that would that would I that was my other winner as well. I thought of I was. I was stoked when they when I saw they beat the titans. I reckon they've been underrated. Like I do love the Bangles Sommer bit biased, but I reckon they've been underrated all year. They've lost three their games by a field goal, both times to the browns and to the charges, and I could see them doing a bit of a Miami of last year, but it even better and go on like win, win a few games toward the end of the year, get a respectable record and then next season, who knows? Yeah, I've got weapons. Yeah, it's hard for them because they are in a very good division. They have to play the stealers and Ravens twice each, and the browns they're pretty decent as well. But yeah, they're doing very well with what they've been given and yeah, a hundred percent agree. A bit like Miami last year. So that's your two winners taken up. Sorry for that, brother, but my other winner is the Miami Defense. They absolutely bawled out this week. Just just for some context, last year they conceded the most points in the whole competition last year and they were tied third last. That's quite a niche little position there. But tied third last for the turnovers. So they were basically absolutely nothing. They were basically...

...a turnstile that would just let you walk through to the end zone. But they led their side to a two thousand eight hundred seventeen win over the brams despite only having a hundred and forty five total yards of offense. This game was just ridiculous. It wasn't on TV for us here in Australia. I was kind of just following it, following like the box scores and the play by plays and yeah, it's just it was just outrageous. Like, I don't know, they just got out to such a big lead so quick and all their offensive players just had no starts it, which is crazy. But they had managed four turnovers in the first half, to force fumbles, two interceptions, and yet the game is pretty much done by halftime purely because of that. And so far this season they're actually averaging the least points against of any defense in the camp, which really not many people would know that, but this year, this week made them overtake the bucks and a few other sides, I think. But yeah, there and they're also currently tied second for most turnovers in the competition. So yeah, really helping out the offense, which is probably it probably looks like it's doing better than it is because this defense, and it's really going to help to her out, I think, knowing that he's got guys who can stop the opposition pretty quickly. And Yeah, you' You will imagine like on the weekend, tool will struggle early because it's a huge step up to the NFL and he hasn't played since last December. So I think having a awesome defense will really help him out and who knows, could be like the steelers last year, their defense might be able to carry them all the way to the playoffs. Or know, the steels missed down the playoffs. My bad, but almost to the playoffs. How did it? How did they miss out last year? I think now they did. They didn't make it. Yeah, they meet, I'm pretty surely. Yeah, they're. They just missed out. They just down the last wild card. But not. That's good, because they had Mason Rudolph as quarterb are true. Yeah, a Sha, forgot about that. Nothern know was a sole reason. No one. No wants to see that in the playoffs. Or are losers of the week the WHO's your first loser? Here? I'll go the chargers, following on from you talking about the Broncos charges game. That wasn't that was just a disgrace of a choke from the charges. We were we were laughing midmatch. The charges would genuinely taking the piss on offense at the start of the third quarter because they were up by twenty one points but had like Keenan Allen throwing passes to people on trip. Players just seemed like they were blowing them out. And then all of a sudden, I don't even know what happened, but the Broncos just came back and stole the soul. The victory should never have happened. Was Yeah, it's graceful. And what's going on with the chargers defense? I just don't know. I'll swear the difference has been good, but they just don't know how to win games. Yeah, yeah, it's like it's bizarre, like I've we've watched a couple of their games and the defense seems to be causing the OBS position trouble. But if you look at the stats, their defense is actually not doing very well at all. Yeah, compared to what we used to with the charges, like in compared to the rest of the League, they're just sitting about average. But we when we think of the charges, we think of a high quality team. And yes, it doesn't help that Derwin James is out, who's like arguably the most talented player, next like Joey Joey Bosa. But yeah, it's bizarre. And conceding thirty one points to the Broncos, including twenty one points in the last quarter. She's strange. And I saw today they dealt one of the their best, I think he's their best quarter cornerback, Desmond King. So, yeah, I think I was. I can't remember where he went. Actually I forgotten now, but yeah, he's a right him too. Yeah, they traded him, so maybe they're already kind of looking at next year, because this year's all over pretty much for the charges. It's weird because they're genuinely based on paper, on offense and defense, but somehow they're just borros so because it's a base Canaan Allen's abased. I guess eccler is a pretty rough not to...

...have, but who knows? Yeah, it's strange, but there's positive signs for the future, I guess, if this is what a rookie quarterbacks doing. Yeah, they're my first loser of the way. She's just the whole NFC that it took a real blow this weekend. The NFC is it's just looking a lot weaker than the AFC at the moment, which you would have probably laughed at last year if we said that. Yeah, preseasons pretty season move saying the complete opposite. Yeah, exactly. But yeah, the buccaneers, who are okuably the nff strongest side going to the weekend. I definitely believe that. I thought they were the strongest in the NFL. They just beat that New York giants. We were down at the park. Nice hot day here in a straight in Mel and. I was going to say Australia, but that's might not a bit holiday everywhere. Yes, and we were just following that score. We could believe our eyes were so, so baffled. But yeah, that's the buccaneers that they're racking up wins, but they've had a few results. They lost to the bears and now they've almost lost to the giants and I know they had a couple injuries, but it's they don't look as invincible some weeks as they do others. Started become a bit of inconsistent, bit of an inconsistent side, but their defense is kind of keeping the minute. And then the packers, the big, the big upset of the week, lost to the Vikings down and cook tore them to absolute shreds. He's a beast. Yeah, it wasn't even the Vikings. Kirk cousins, I think, through the ball fourteen times. So but yeah, that's Stein. is become a bit of a concern for the packers. Their defense seems to be like they didn't even score that many points of Vikings. To be fair, I think they scored twenty eight. But yeah, the packers defense is similar to the SEAHAWKS, although the seahawks defense did kind of man up this week against the forty nine. Is But yeah, the packers. That's what is stopping them from becoming a super wel contender. Basically their defense, the weird struggle. It's weird. It's weird that they have like such a good pass rush but they can't stop the run. Yeah, yeah, I didn't get how a pass rush and run defense can be different because it's like the same bloke. But yeah, it is weird. So, yeah, that's my biggest loser the NFC. What's your second one? Yep, fair enough. I've got the Ravens. I think that this was a game they probably needed to and should have won at home against the steelers. Huge match and didn't get it done. So I can't really see them winning me their division. Now stealers of pretty much got it wrapped up and the Ravens will be fighting it off in the wild cards, which wouldn't be which is an ideal considering what we were expecting preseason. Yeah, definitely not ideal. There's not really not like the NFC. There's not really a week and IFCDIVI AFC divisional champion. You probably looking at the bills and the titans as to who the ravens would be playing week one. If they do as we would expect, take out the probably the number one on number two wild card spot. But yeah, so disappointing. And Lamar he he didn't have the worst game, but four turnovers. He keeps doing this in big games, like against the titans last year in the in the playoffs. He went for huge yardage but had three turnovers. And it doesn't really matter how far up the field you're going, if you're just going to give them the ball back three times a match, it's pretty hard to get your team over the line. And Yeah, my second loser was actually Lamart Jackson, because he just keeps failing in the big games. I know it's the kind of harsh to put it all on him because so a lot of the time he is on his own out there in that offense, but this week they got the run game going nicely, which would was pretty unexpected against steelers. Yeah, yes, he doesn't have many weapons to throw too, but yeah, big,...

...big game against divisional rival, rivals, conference competitors, and yeah, you just didn't turn up really, and now that's three big matches in a rows, looking back actually, and even all the way back to two thousand and eighteen, although it's stiff bringing up matches from his rookie year when he was a completely different player. But yeah, the last three big matches he's had the chiefs in week in, week three or week for, I can remember which one I was here on. They had a hundred and eighty yards total offense. And Yeah, The Times in the playoffs he had three turnovers and on the weekend he had four turnovers. So yeah, it's becoming a bit of an issue for Lamar Jackson. Definitely going to hurt his reputation if he doesn't fix that and realistically it's going to prevent Baltimore from doing anything because you've got to win big matches to, you know, make it push for the title. So yeah, start probably starting to get pretty frustrating for Baltimore fans because, yeah, like all well and good that you can beat Cincinnati thirty two three, but if you if you can't challenge these big games, like what's the point of what's the point of pumping small sides? I'm surprised they didn't sign any new weapons in the trade window. Yeah, yeah, it's made exactly. That's what that's what they need. Same with the packers. But guess will I think maybe. I think Abe might have been linked to the Ravens at one point. Oh No, sorry, that that was as briant, wasn't it? Oh Yeah, that's Ryan does. Yeah, yeah, but he's on the practice squad and who knows what's going to happen there. But yet markings Brown, yeah, he's been a letdown. He he lipped off on twitter, did he not happy with the amount of action he's seeing? He wants more, forty, apparently, and he yeah, he said something on twitter about it. Only only saw two targets. But yeah, maybe that's his fault for not getting open. I can't say I'm just stared at him every ravens game. But yeah, Lamar's got a lift because at the moment not good enough. But there are positive signs. Jk Dobbins bit of a breakout game in the weekend. Guy Said Woods looks a lot superior to mark Ingram. So if they can get that run game going then that probably makes Lamar Jackson more dangerous. And then once they start focusing on the run game, then Lamar he's probably got more up, more margin for error in the in the passing game. So you know, there are positive signs in the defense is playing great. So it's not, as saw, all doom and gloom for the Ravens, but it is Steyn's become a bit of a warrior now. Their big game form. It's just pretty bad and that they need a buck. That trend quickly. But yeah, moving on to the next section of the episode, Offensive Plate. Well, players of the week, and then, because it's we just saw week eight conclude, we will be doing a midseason awards segment. It's not going to be two in depth, not going to be too crazy, just going to be awarding out, handing out a few awards. But we'll start with our players of the week first. It's going to be a weekly thing, offensive players of the week. Pick three here. Who's your number three? I haven't ranked him, but I'll go. I'll quickly rank him now in my head. I'll go DK metcalf in a firm. Yeah, I think we're gonna have the exact same people here, but yeah, that cast and it's the three. To be honest, he probably should be second for me, but I'll just put him third. Yeah, huge game, two touchdowns, hundred, hundred, thirty, hundred, fifty yards, whatever. It was absolutely made you cruise to the W and your fantasy matchup this group. But that he's an absolute beast. Yeah, like I don't know, I don't know how you stop it. He looks like the Buddy Terminator on the field. Just Sha do you had like twelve receptions or something for fourteen targets? Yeah, yeah, he's just a beast. Pretty hard to stop that. Seattle are game like you can only really double team that. One of Mett carfull lock...

...it and the others just going to thrust. So it's pretty rough when he's like when they're dominating in the air and they don't even have a running game really at the moment with the main three guys injured. It's going to be scary once if they're running game does get going. But yeah, he's one. Number three is well, number two for you. Do we go my homes or no? I don't have the homes at all. I went Russell Wilson Purely mahomes had the better stats, but Russell divisional match up against the forty nine is just absolutely tall than to shreds four touchdowns. Did it with absolute e's. So because my homes played the jets, gave it to Russ. Yeah, no, very fair. He went two hundred and eighty four yards for touchdowns. So you're frothm that. And then, yeah, I went homes, my my to my number two. Four hundred and sixteen yards from forty two attempts, five touchdowns. Yeah, as you said, jets not the most formidable opponent, but absolutely torch them. And Yeah, they their offense had been failing a little bit the last three weeks. They had unfavorable conditions, but they hadn't been putting up big scores. Against the bills and the Broncos they put up a big score, but it wasn't really because at their offense. But this year they kind of just are. This week they just reminded us they're still they're still there, the Super Bowl Champs. They're still there. And then number one got to be ananimous the Big Dalvin Cook, the Alvin. Yeah, still lutely tore up Green Bay. It was insane what he did. Two hundred and twenty six yards from scrimmage for touchdowns. That's just that's not right. Like it's just he's a he's coold, like the Minnesota running game is just basically he needs to be in the conversation for the League's best running back at this point, my opinion. Dead Dad said, like he's right up there. Like, yes, Derrick Henry's big, strong, he provides all those mean moments of fending blokes in the face. But yeah, Doalven Cook gets it done on a more weekly basis, it has to be said. Yeah, and he's he's on not a good team. So exactly. Yeah, and like compared, like he's better than yeah, Aaron Jones is and stuff like. Definitely are in Jones is just lucky to be in that situation. Really, like, I'd still probably take McCaffrey over him. And then Kamara. Kamar is hard to compare to the running back's yeah, a wide receiver basically, but he is pretty bloody good when he has to run. I have to say. He's like lots of broken tackle. But yeah, knowing that Rotavius, it's knowing that latavious just splits carries with him on and off. It's because Kamara can't handle the true workhorse workload or they just want to committee, but it's kind of weird. Maybe it's because he gets so much action in the air. Like, yeah, maybe pretty maybe it's not really feasible to have like ten catches twenty five carries, but yeah, Mara is pretty talented, so I don't mind it. But yeah, probably does stop US seeing Kamara's true potential. But maybe took. When Thomas comes back, Kamara becomes less involved in the air and then we start seeing him run more. Yeah, that's the offensive players the week. I do tend to one votes in QB's wide receivers running back, so I'll just give a quick update on those rankings before we get into rookie offensive rookie of the week, the Kibi rankings, or maybe I shouldn't say this because this kind of related to my midseason awards, but anyway I'll just send it. Rogers is on top of the QB rankings on thirty seven votes, patrick my homes on second, on thirty one, Russell Wilson third on thirty Tann of hill and Kirk cousins combined on twenty five. That's yeah, look, that's just ridiculous there, but they're efficient, I guess. Wide Receiver rankings. Davante is on top by two on twenty six lock it's second on twenty, Jefferson and metcalf a tied third on nineteen, and Julio,...

I know that's Ridley. Julio's belong Ridley is in fifth on eighteen and then running backs. Kamara easily on top, forty one votes. Cook in Second, twenty seven votes. Then it's Henry on twenty. Zeke is still somehow hanging up there on in fourth on nineteen and then toddy and Jacobs tied, tied fits on seventeen. But yeah, that's that's done. Offensive Rookie of the week. Who are you going with here? May I'm going with JK Dobbins here. Mate didn't have the most fantasy points because he didn't get into the end zone, but the steelers run defense before this week. We're pretty much clearly the best in the league, maybe the Buccaneers, but he just absolutely torch them, and Gus said wards did as well, to be fair. But Dobbins had fifteen carries, a hundred and thirteen yards average, like almost eight yards per carry. Just absolutely torch them. Breakout game and yeah, I can he's going to be a beast starting there, starting next season. Yeah, I he definitely looks good. My offensive rookie of the week is Zack Moss. Didn't have too much yarded had eighty one yards from scrimmage, but the to Td's really help them get over the line of the Patriots, both of them. They weren't really just like your one yard qb sneak kind of vibe. They were like pretty hard fought wrestling over up the line. Like it's kind of weird for you, but yeah, now he played played well. Patriots run D's not been that great this year, but to td's is a rookie running back pretty handy. You'll take that any day the week. Normally I'll be doing a defensive player of the week here, but I have to be honest, I haven't been doing a bit behind them my defensive votes. I'll save that for you know, when I catch up with that. I don't want to just pick someone out of the heart. But that moves us on to our midseason awards. Yeah, it's going to be nothing to in depth or anything like that. But yet, MVP, you start a soft brother, pretty obvious Russell Wilson. So far don't have his stats up, but he's he's clearly been the best quarterback in the league and the seahawks is six and one. So he's in pole position and I think he'll win it. I think you'll win over mahomes and Rogers. Yeah, I think he'll definitely win it and I think right now I reckon people. Maybe after the bucks failure will not failure but poor performance on Monday, I think now Seattle would be viewed as the number one NFC side. Would you agree with that or yeah? Yeah, yeah, the packers and bucks are up there, but they kind of faltered, both of them on the weekend. So I think now the consensus would be Seattle the number one in on that side of the comp but yeah, Rust Wilson, he's been allowed to cook, as they say, let Rusk Cook and cookie has but yet love and the air game in Seattle no one's really being able to stop it. And he's also been putting on clinics in prime time, which is always a big factor into the MVP race. But yeah, I write that one. I do think he will win the in real life version as well. I've actually gone with Aaron Rodgers, though, as I mentioned before, in terms of the weekly voting system, I do Rogers is actually on top of the QB and obviously the MVP is pretty much always a qb, except for when an ape decided to be a beast. But yeah, rodgers absolutely beasting this year, throwing Ford's a week for fun pretty much. He's actually throwing twenty td's and seven games on track for what's that? Forty, forty odd, which is a pretty be season. That's, I think Patrick mahomes through forty five or something when he won the MVP and yeah, just absolutely killing the game. His team is now five and too, so they probably wouldn't want to drop too many more games. If Rogers is to win the MVP,...

I don't think he will, just quietly, because I think Rogers sometimes like I feel like some people don't notice him as much as he probably should be noticed, and I do think. But I do think Russ is probably the better candidate. But that's just how my votes have worked out, so I'm going to back them in. And Yeah, cut that out just so. Yeah, absolute Baker Mat all right, offensive players the year. So basically just MVP. That's not a QB. Pretty much. Who you going with here? I've gone with Dalvin Cook over Derrick Henry. He's played, he's Mr Game. He's only played six games, but in those six games he has six hundred and fifty two rushing yards and eleven total touchdowns. There's a lot more touchdowns than Henry. Henry has more yards, but I think he's been the superior player. Yeah, I agree with the in a beast and Henry just had like like that one massive game. Like Cook went massive this week as well, I guess. But yeah, that's probably definitely boosting. Henry starts that one, but it's cooks a lot higher on yards per carry as well. Yeah, because he's had to. He was sharing a little bit at the start with Madison, but now he's kind of wrestled back the wrestled back the reins and yeah, no, I like that. He's really the only thing carrying that that offense, whereas Henry, yes, they're the running game is vital to Tennessee success. But tanners, Aj Brown, Cory Davis, they all chop out where. Yeah, I guess they do a Thelon and Jefferson, but in terms of kirk cousins, you're not working with much there, are you down? And so you're doing bloody world champons album. So yeah, very, very fair, very fair. Award there. I'm actually going with Alvin Komara. I know you're not that. I feel like you're not the biggest fan of Kamara because he kind of takes the piss in fantasy because he just gets so many catches at the line of scrimmage like they're not really that important. But he's a big reason why the saints of five and to drew beat drew brees. It was well documented. He started pretty slow this year. Thomas Injured Round One, jared cooks Mr a few games, senders is missed a couple games. He's really been the only thing and their defense has been awful. So Kamar has really been the only thing carrying it in both the air and on the ground. And Yeah, he's just been killing it. Really not much else to really say on him. He's had seven touchdowns, so he's averaging a touchdown in match. And Yeah, he's had nine hundred and eighty seven yards from scrimmage and he's on track to comfortably beat his previous best, which is one thousand five hundred and ninety two. so He's probably going to cruise to beating that. Yes, he does get bulk touches a game but like who cares? He gets freaking eighty percent of the receptions and eighty percent of the carry so he's just an absolute beast. Kumara, and yes, he is frustrating to all fantasy players, but got to respect him really, because he's putting that team on his back sometimes. So respect Kumara. I love you, brother and you're my offensive player of the year. How you proud of yourself? Or offensive rookie of the year? Who are you going with? I'm going with my man, Joey Borrow. I'm thinking between pretty much between him and Justin Herbert. I Want I'm on the borrow camp, big borrow fan, but I mean for third in the entire NFL in passing yards, with two thousand two hundred and seventy two eleven touchdowns, five interceptions. He's been put into a pretty, pretty bad situation. Horrible offensive line, the blow gets sacked about twelve times a match. They should be shot. He showed some really good signs and he's going to be an absolute freak. Yeah, that I back it and obviously I talked about him my winners and, as you said, they've been quite underrated this year. So now I'm not offended by that one at...

...all. Thanks. Right, Quick Shit, before I get into mine, quick shout at to James Robinson. I think he is, yes, probably the third man for this award. Have to say he's a bobby hard. Probably is actually easily. Haven't above Clyde. He's carrying that offense, making minchew look not bad somehow. My Man, I'm going Justin Herbert's just statistically he's absolutely balled out. Yes, I know burrows dealing in a worse situation and he does get sacked a hundred times a day. But yeah, Herbert absolutely boosting it. Hasn't had a game under to fifty yards in the air yet in the last four weeks he so he has only played. He didn't play week one and then they did out the buyer week six. So that probably should have been taken into account in the midseason awards from me, but I don't care. In the last four weeks, in his last four matches, sorry's trowing at least three touchdowns a game and yet to rushing touchdowns as well. Had A game of sixty six rushing yards. So He's you know, you can do it in the air and on the ground. I'm not really much else more to save about the great man. Everyone kind of knows how well he's been playing. Just been balling out, being dropping sixty yard dimes to jail and Guayton and Gurgi Green and all these who the fuck is that bloke? He keeps it, keeps making seventy yard grabs of absolutely never heard of him. that. They actually throwed a lot of randoms any any throw over like twenty yards, either Mike Williams or someone you've never heard of. Thin Keenan just takes everything within twenty. But yeah, for me it's Herbert, but I'm sure come the end of the season we might have changed that verdict and also I think burrows strength of schedule has to be taken to it into account as well. Defensive Player of the year once again. was going to do that, but I didn't feel comfortable doing it because I haven't done my vote, so I didn't want to just pick it. Team out of team out of mass or most impressive team so far this season. Who are you going with? I'm going with the buccaneers. They are they are seven and one. That's correct. Right. Yeah, I only lost. It was against the bears and yeah, we know they lost for the Saints Week One. So Oh, yeah, sorry, that is true. That is true, but they're absolutely beasting it now and Tom Brady is beasting it with a lot of weapons missing each week. Yeah, they have an unreal defense, which was probably been unexpected coming to the year, and they've just blown expectations out of the water. There's blocks like yourself who are saying super well favorites for Tampa. So I mean, yeah, hard, too hard to look past him. Yeah, I was very skeptical of them. I thought there was a good chance they were going to be the brands of last year. Everyone hopped on them in the offseason. Yeah, I'll have more minced Tama. Yeah, we bloody I don't know if you did. I'd definitely tip the falcons above the bucks and their division. I just thought Tom Brady was kind of past it and he wasn't going to be as good, but he's definitely proved me and all the doubt is wrong. He's been absolutely brilliant this year. And Yeah, as you said, we haven't really seen the offense fully firing yet, with for nets missed time. Evans is missed time, Godwin's miss time. Now they've got Antonio Brown, told brocks wrongs only really hitting his straps in the last fortnight. So yeah, it's pretty exciting what their offense is going to do. And now they're defense has certified one of the best in the COMP last year. Last year they used to ship like fifty points. They had a few good pass rushers. Obviously Shaq Barrett was up there in the sacks, but yeah, yeah, absolutely, I've got a good one there. Yeah, yeah, they came on the Game Carton Davis or whatever his name is. Yeah, that I'd beast whenever they're on TV. My team is the cardinals, currently sitting second in the NFC west, which is done it itself extremely impressive, but the fact that...

...they're five and two is absolutely insane. Their defense is really stood up this year. Only contdered a hundred forty six points in seven outings. Obviously that huge prime time win over the seahawks was their highlight of the season so far, but they're looking like a solid candidate for that, for an NYC wild card spot. Well, pretty much. If they fight off the rams and forty nine is and sticking at second in the NFC west, that they're basically wrapped up a wild card spot, because surely one wild cart has to go to that division, if not two, if not three. So yeah, the cardinals have been awesome. Murray people were kind of predicting and I listened to a few podcasts and they were actually thinking he was a smoky for the MVP in the preseason. But yeah, he's really stood up. Hopkins has proved to be as much of a steel of a trade as we were expecting. And yet the defenses, as I mentioned before, really stepped up. So good signs for the cardinals. Probably got to get their running game sort a little bit, but hopefully chase headmond's in the next couple weeks with drake out, can you know, keep up the momentum he's had in the last month. He's been averaging like four and a half yards but carry compared to drake's like to so hopefully that can improve and that will help the air game as well. But Murray's scrambling, you don't even need to do anything else. It's so overpowered. Most disappointing team for you, though. Yeah, Maur he's a freak. I've got to here. Couldn't split them. Well, my one is the cowboys, but also the Vikings of added the vikings in there because the cowboys did lose Dak, which is which is kind of unlucky. But they've both been huge disappointments. I thought, I think I had the vikings scraping into the playoffs. I'd receasing. I had them ten wins. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know what's going on that they've been. I mean they did, they did just beat the packers too nice a story so which, which is pretty good. But two and five they've been pretty bushit. Yeah, they have been pretty poor. But yeah, the cowboys. Yeah, and the cowboys speaks for itself. Just shocking defense. Their offense was base and now it sucks as well with Um without Dak. But yeah, they're just atrocious. Yeah, a hundred percent agree. And people, people were saying they would go like thirteen and three pretty yeah, I'll be on it, like I had to put on a KP here, but put it on now. Was Not Compton. I was never copying those calls. I always was going to say the eagles were going to win this division. I said that in the prediction video episodes. Go check them out if you want to prove me wrong. But yeah, obviously the DACK injuries helped my cause there, because they might have finished about the eagles just through pure offensive scoring. But yeah, for those who were saying that was super bowl contenders, like, like, what do they even do compared to last year? They just added like CD lamps, like Yep, see, they thought it would all because adjacent Garrett, but clear yeah, he wasn't a case. Yeah, like I have to say, I did think the coaching was going to make a difference and it hasn't at all. But I just saw it was really arrogant what they did with their defense. It was pretty bad last year and then they let go they're one of the best quarterbacks in the COMP in Viron Jones, and just didn't replace him. So almost glad that they're really struggling because I think I don't rate the way they were going about it, just trying to load up on offense and just have a shocking defense. But yeah, I think next year they're going to have to make some big signings on both all the other side of the ball. Offense will probably probably bill g but yeah, very disappointing. Jared Jones COP my most disappointing I was going to say the cowboys, but I went the Patriots. Yes, it's probably pretty stiff, but I actually once again, I'll check the KPE on I look. I didn't think they were going to have this record. I thought they were sniffed to make a wild card spot,...

...but they're two and five right now and they've looked pretty bad. They looked around in the weekend, but they've looked pretty bad and the two games prior and yeah, a lot of people thought, yes, the bills will win the division, but the Patriots still might go nine or ten wins. I predicted Miami to finish above them, but that was kind of just a bit of a humorous selection, just bit of a bit of heart over mine. But yeah, that they actually I've been very poor and Miami are looking strong favorites to finish above them at the moment and playoffs is out of the picture now for the Patriots. And yet to those like it's always hard to doubt Bill Pellet, Belichick and the Patriots because they've just been insane for so long. But yeah, every podcast I was listening to somewhere even saying they would still finished above the bills. And Yeah, they couldn't be a much further away from that. So Yep, two and five very disappointing in my opinion. Yeah, totally agree. They're actually pretty season I thought they would still make the playoffs just because of big bill, but yeah, they've been pretty shit. And Cam new and been pretty shit too. Yeah, like I had low expectations for Cam. He's probably somehow not even met them. So that's it. It looks so good in the first two weeks, but I think it was just because of his rushing touchdowns. To be honest, I don't know if he was ever actually bawling out through the air. Yeah, anyway. So that's all I've got for today. Just a quick look ahead to week nine. There's some pretty juicy games. I'll get I'll get your pick for some games. Or Friday night woody, or Thursday and up footie. Oh, I'll go. I'm asking you a question as well afterwards. Okay, you go first with the Pierce Day night football. Forty nine is packers. Who You got, say? Do you have where the Games are? The second team? I say I got forty nine because I'm got. Oh, that's actually tough, because the packers have lost their entire backfield. Actually know. The first team, I said, was at home I think you do it another way around. I'M gonna it's at the forty nine. Actually, no, I'm going the packers. Garoppolos out. They have nick mullins and kiddles out. So, yeah, packers. Yeah, fair enough. You know, mulins actually got like seven boats in my thing. Yeah, actually played well. The actually basted when he came in. or I'm not going to do every game. Colts Ravens in Indie. I can actually be surprising that one. I'm going to go ravens over right, titans, bears, titans, Bill, seahawks. It's probably easy in, but you haven't. Yeah, yeah, that's you'd how you have to go seehawks. So, yeah, I'm not. I'm not really getting bold with any of these, but I mean it's an easy lot, not fair. Cardinals, dolphins. No, I'll say dolphins. I'll go bold on that one. Say Dolphins this fee and last time. Buck Saints Rematch. Bucks. Yeah, I agree with you. That my bother with the other ones. Are All pretty relevant. Yet hit me what we're going to say. Brother, I want you to predict. Obviously we've got Antonio Brown making his comeback. I want you to predict his stat line. Targets, receptions, yards, touchdowns. That's so chill. Is Gold and plain. No, I and they are up against the saints, all right, or just go like roughly, not like yeah, I'm trying to think what he did in Miami last year and that one match. You don't like. You got like sixteen fantasy points. I think rare. He had to the other touchdown because you celebrate in the stands and like fell in after margets. I'll go eight, pretty good, pretty good receptions, just stock standard. Six, you guarded. Oh, go and a hundred and three. Oh, you're pretty not...

...eight, I was thinking. So I'll go ninety two, all right, and no touchdowns here on. So the grond way that that would be a success. If he have that definitely be the main thinking. Is a gold wins out. So yeah, that's true. Like remember that myth. Can remember that his name, but someone from Tampa, Mickins. Yes, it's a shod. Yeah. Yeah, so if Brown takes that role, yeah, we could quite easily get that start line, I'd say. But yeah, going to be very interesting to see. Do you we are you more pessimistic about his debut or you back in them in for a big one? I'm gonna I'm going to say for catches fifty yards, but a touchdown. All right, spicy, Spicey, all right.
