Welcome back to the other wall podcast. This is episode a hundred and twenty six of the show and we're here once again to chat about the Australian football league, futty. For sure, doing a bit of a different episode this time, though, but we are once again joined by Rowey, so I'll introduce him before I introduce the episode. How are you, Rowe I'm right. Thanks, mate. Bit flat after the weekend, but all right now. How are you? Yeah, I'm all right. You've had some time to recover them and looking forward to this week is favorites. I believe your favorite. Yeah, yeah, which scares me. Last time we were favorites, we we lost badly. So yeah, we'll see. Yeah, we will see. We'll talk about our predictions later on the episode, but this sounds a bit of a different one. As some of you might have seen, we did a review one earlier in the week, so this one's going to be focusing more towards the weekend, but also just footy in general, less about like the weekend that's just gone. So we've got some talking points that we're just going to roll through and then we've also going to have a little bit of a chat about super coach, looking forward to this upcoming weekend and then our usual predictions at the end of the episode. But we're going to start with the talking points, and this first one I'm going to be leaning on your opinion here. I'll be honest, I don't really know what my answer is. So yeah, well, we're going to be discussing is. Well, all three teams had a disappointing loss on the weekend. I'll cartins wasn't that disappointing, but they've had disappointing starts for the season, let's say, and it's Collingwood, Carl and then sat Kilda, I'd say, coming into the year. Thank you too, maybe more highly thought of, but all three were in similar sort of positions and then they've all had slow start. So I want, I want us to discuss each three's current position and basically get down to the bottom. WHO's in the best position out of those three? Who's in the worst spot? WHO's first away from winning apprentices of all that sort of stuff. So you can take it however you want, mate, but I want to hear your thoughts on who's in the worst position or the best position, however you want to look at it. Well, I'll kick it off actually sort of with the best. So the way I see in a perfect world, in a perfect well for a lease manager, it's all on a club. Actually it's all about this transition from a draft deed and then, you know, becoming a C grade be green player all up to an a and a plus green elite player in all Australians quality player like that. The way I see it, cult at the moment have the most of those plays that are at least up and coming. You know, you look at Collingwood, who have got lots of, you know, Australian, Australian quality players now, the likes of more and Goi and P newbree and all that. You go over the rest of their list and about sort of half of them are, you know, just about to reach their best, at there or at their best. The other half of probably bit beyond it. So like the likes of pendabred atoms and how and whatnot. But the way I say it, in the last sort of seven years Carlton's drafting, they have had a lot of draft picks beer in mind. So they have hit a lot but they have missed a lot. But at the moment their last their drafts from the last seven years you can safely say, you know, are either all Australian, call it now, or will be. You know, you've got the lits of crips we during macai, Charlie Kernel Zac, Fisher, Sam Walsh. So that's that's a very strong hole. From the last sort of six years they've had a lot of MRS including, you know, a couple of top ten picks and like Patreski Seton, who sort of hasn't really come along but still plays down, and O'Brien. It's obvious ones they're that haven't come along yet but always plays all over all Australia ability and you know that that's that's helping their list, obviously, because they're coming through in their becoming game changes, especially likes, you know, Walsh and creeps and whatnot. The pies have only really had to go emore and may not in the last seven years. They've got the likes of column Brown and Day Coss and Isaac Queen or, but those are the main three and they were years back. They weren't as recent as you know Walsh stuff. So when we're looking at like all the teams, sort of a a plus players, Carlton's of the more recent since hence I've got them higher. They've got a lot more hits recently. Yeah, Saint Kildo. Then we marry onto them. So I think the most fundamental issue in the saints during the trade period I went onto the saint I wouldn't and asked MDG cleary, where do you see the improvement coming from the list? Because, you know, we still the main problems, still lacking a bit of a plus elite talent at the saints. You know, I sort of float the idea, you know, would like sum like a Josh Kelly, who've been linked to basically every year but haven't strongly pursued, be the answer. He said the...

...growth was going to come within and I agreed with him. However, the main problem with the saints, as probably a lot of people realize, is it barely anyone released in the last sort of ten years. As trance is, you know, transition from a sort of B grade player, or at least maybe baseline a player, to it a plus player, an elite player. So a lot when we're doing this sort of last seven year comparison from the draft, I look at Jade Gresham, you know when fit plays a full season in the right role. You know you've been all Australian. I'm not being Cooper Gretch yer being all Australian, at least squad contention. But then we don't really have anyone else I could confidently say. You know, we've got billings, Battle Hunter of Clark, coffield, Benny, Patton, Max Kings probably doesn't need his own category because he will get he will obviously be an all Australan quality player. But I had a season off there injury whatnot. But so out of those teams are what Colin got six of those six strong hits in the last seven years, calling with three and saints one and Gressiam. I'm not billings. He'sn't quite there yet. So that the bats. The thing, though, leaves and killed with so many players that are sort of be grade players, which is what makes selection always so hard and hard to make difficult calls, because they're all almost too they like they're too good to miss. Sound the best twenty two but all it, as we've seen this year, more often than not they're missing more than they're hitting. So at the moment I've got cal in the best position and then it's well, it's tough the next one because the like the saints. So we've got cold at the top and then, you know, we've got like a baseline team here. The pies are sort of heading down, the saints are heading up, and I reckon this sort of here, but obviously the problems with the saints are stopping him from going higher and I guess the the pies, you know, Mrs from the last few years, of stopping them from, you know, bouncing back up higher. So at the moment, just giving the fact that the saints have they have, as we saw last year, all these sort of be crunt be grade plus players have the potential to become a and a great plus players. You know, we've got the likes of, well, I a a plus Tyler moment is only Jack Steal and Rowan Marshall as basically everything the company agree. But we've got a ton of players that show glimpses. So we've got, you know, the players like Zach Jones, who's got, you know, bursting out of stoppage qualities which are awesome, though only sometimes gets like ten touches of game. You know, got Brad he'll know to speak about him say, with Dawn Butler. Jack Sinclair, you know, showed that he could be in elite halfback runner in the preseason but hasn't really played a good game this season yet. And just all the players above, you know, billings, battle, Clark, coffee. We've got so many plays that just aren't becoming that an a plus great player like you know, Carlton's players are becoming, you know, like the crips and the wedeings. Of them are Kys and the welshers and the Kernos and the fishes, like they're sort of stagnating and they have the potential to explode. You know, maybe they will later in the year or next year and that'll, you know, help list obviously, but at the moment we've got so many players that are just sat stagnating. But in saying that, given the fact we have so many, I'm going to put us in second. I'm going to put Collingwood and last, because most of it obviously controversial. But you know, we look at their aplus tell the moment more pendably grundy side bottom and how and you've got like crisp and Adams and to go. We none of those players are like new the system, unlike you know, say, for us Max King or say a Cardin Sam Welsh. All these guys are either in their prime now or they're entering out of it, exiting out of it. Sorry. And the players didn't get a premiership with this list or elite, basically none of them, except like except penal bree and whatnot, back in two thousand and ten. So I can't see them, given the fact that they're all coming out of their primes, I can't see them any premiership with the current list. You know, maybe a couple years ago I would have said, you know, nineteen and twenty, they can push for it, but obviously to haven't. And Yeah, so I'm going to have damned last just because we don't really know what's going on. At least you know, to go is not firing and plays like Adams and stuff haven't set the world and fight as well. Adams been injured for a bit, obviously a bit of it, but I don't know, like their strongest isn't resulting in wins. So, given the fact that saints, like we have a lot of these big right be grade plays that can progress into a plus players, I'll put us in second. But if we're speaking from. Yeah, this year's perspective, it's really a tie between us and the PLIOS. So that's why extensive analysis. But I'm yeah, the veryt is Culton the best and then the saints close second in front of Collingwood, actually probably spot on. Agree with you there. For me collingwoods last by...

...a fair way. Just think, as you suggested. I think that is trending in the opposite to opposite direction to the other two. And as you said, like Crisp is twenty seven, side bottom thirty how thirty atoms is twenty seven, penderbree thirty three. So by the time then next crop of talent come through, they're probably going to get Nick Day cooss. Well, they basically I guaranteed him. So that's a big plus. Some of their younger players are exciting as well. But by the time they're all good to go, ready to go for another like you know, top for premiership window sort of situation, side bottom, how and penalty probably won't be there. So that's a huge like gap to fill because currently, well, how less so, but side bottom and pendably do a lot for that team. And Adams, who knows, he's out for the season. Injuries could become more frequent with him. So yeah, I'd say collingwoods off and it also in terms of coaching, you'd have to say Nathan Buckley's pretty long odds to still be there next year at this point. So they're coaching is a complete unknown, which is another big thing. But that's also another reason why I wouldn't have Saint Kilda too far behind Carlton. I'm not. I don't think tgs really showed US anything to suggest he's a good coach. We're saying killed. We've seen good stuff from their coaching, you know, set up since he came in. So I think that's a big positive in St Kild's column. The column don't necessarily boast, but yeah, a hundred percent agree with your a great talent analysis. So yeah, well, I'm sat killed Carlton Fans, but obviously not not the start they wanted. Also, come have probably a bigger appeal to players coming in than St Kilda. I think we're yeah, well, we've seen in the last window basically that Carlins a bigger fan base, a bigger name, probably more a lot more history than St Kilda. So I think the same Kilda might have more trouble bringing people in. But yeah, so, yeah, I think that's pretty well covered by you rate that or right? Next talking point we're going to discuss is which team has the most depth right now. This is obviously a very, very vague question because like, for example, I'd say Gold Coast has pretty good depth, but then one injury to their rock and we saw that they actually don't even have, you know, much much there. So who do you think right now? Robbie has other teams that have the most debts. I've seen a lot of injuries happened in the last few weeks to gun players. So which teams right now the best suited to fill those injury spots that will keep popping up over the season? Well, it was no surprise that I, when I wrote down the teams I thought had the most depth, there were all, you know, top eighteens, top four teams. So it really goes showed it. You know, you need a strong list to be it's upteen. You kind of have a strong twenty two. So I've I don't really have this in order. I've got jewel long in there. We talk a lot about there, like youngsters on the sidelines not getting games. You Know Charlie constable. He's the big example that, as well as Jordan Clark. Both of them both huge talent and potential and just can't get a game and some reason it still there and you know, we've got they've still got me. You know, tons of kids that are coming through as well. Like I know there was a photo of cooper stages just as he got drafted. Was the most rip dteen you're older ever seen and he hasn't got a game for them yet either. So they've got a few blakes in there. So like, like I said that, as much as I have given them a lot of shit this year for how they're playing and started and such, they're going to be there in the year, just for one of the reasons because they've got so much depth. On the list. Port Adelaide as well as another one we saw. They you know, they're two young guns. Does more and budds go down. Rosie's going down a roofs second or third week as well, but you know, they're never really struggling for death. You know, I think the guys they bring in for a few games are always really good. We saw Martin Frederick on the weekend. You know, get like twenty odd touches at ninety six percent, I think it was, and you know, showed like really exciting qualities as a dashing defender, and the fact that someone about that caliber, I guess, and but those qualities can't get a game just shows that they have really good depth as well. They've also had a lot of kids on the sidelines which they've drafted a fewss in the last few years that would be getting games elsewhere, and I Sam Hayes is one who's like a project Rightman who was projected to be top ten and that draft with brachure and chair and stuff two thousand and seventeen one. He still hasn't got a game. And you know, they got a lot of kids in there that are ready to play and just don't get games. So there's supports another one west coast as well, more so because I've got a lot of role players. I feel they've got the it's not so much the quality of their depth is more so the fact that they've got like get. They've got a lot of role plays. They lose a toll for they've get. They've got one waiting, they lose a rock, they ball and waiting. They lose Shannon her and they've got odds wood and waiting, basically. So they've got a lot of role players there. So I feel as...

...though they've always had a lot of depth and it's been tested, especially the last couple of years. You know, to go eats up, to go around Elliot Yarrow and chilly and they're going down. So in the midfield. So the last team as well, I think the bulldogs. They got other as we talked about in a week or two ago, patch of the Pinski's going to be most unlucky player in the AFL this year. Just so know. Sub In our subegan emergency so and he's a quality player. So the fact that he is not getting a game as well just is just shows how good the dogs mid field depths. Think Ed Richards as well as another one who's shown really good talent. You know, it's quite off, obviously in a few games, but he's just someone that I thought would get games elsewhere. I really like to look of him in his first few years and obviously Jamara as well. I think I'd a lot of teams they would have day Dun by this time the year. Could come Friday night probably more unlike than likely. But yeah, it's no surprise that it's those four teams for me because you know they're for the best teams of the camp arguably. So yeah, I definitely got to be those four. I mean I look at all the other weaker sides and I've got depth, no doubt that niche just not sure if their depth plays would cut it at other clubs and whether they be getting games up the CLOPS. So yeah, yeah, I pretty much agree with all those. I think Richmond also have to be mentioned, not so much big names and their VfL set up, but the fact that they all come in and do a job similar to what you're saying with Paul. We've seen it time and time again. We've seen a little bit like Ryan Mansill in the last few weeks and I think we're going to see it with Kalie a Dawkins this weekend. So I'm sure they're going to come in and smash it. But yeah, agree with the dogs there. saw them up against gws in the VfL and yet they had not household names but a lot of people everone knows, just running around like so they're they're pretty good Melbourne as well, not necessarily depths are all around the park. But some of the quality they have in their VFL team right now. They've beat Richmond like a hundred points. They've got Ben Brown, they've got nevill Jetta, they've got Weediman. I know Oscar Baker has been killing it so far in the VfL. So yeah, they're right up there as well. But yeah, I think port I haven't ranked me the like you, but I think Paul would be right up there for my number one contender. The fact that, like Tom Rock cliff and POW pepper, I've been playing Sam for I don't think many other clubs could say their vfls, that all their reserve teams that strong. So yeah, they're right up there. Yeah, great our next up we're going to do something similar to what we did the other week. We drafted the two thousand and eighteen draft. Will redrafted it, picked a new top ten of what we think it should be, based off a bit of hindsight, now that we've seen the first few years of their careers and we have a better glimpse of what their potential is going to be. We're going to be doing the same thing for the two thousand and seventeen one fair to say this one's not as stacked as the two thousand and eighteen super draft. Not as much depth and probably the top fives nowhere near as impressive. But and considering they've had an extra year to develop, that's pretty weird. But we're still going to go through our top tens. I was very there are some tough decisions in there, but I'm going to start with my honorable mentions. So the people have just missed out for me, I actually don't know if you agree with me, because based on potential, is still probably could be in there, but it doesn't help because he's missed his whole year. But I'm actually I don't have Cameraner in there. Very probably controversially, was the number one pick draft. Yeah, yeah, I don't know, in the he was gone and probably get a lot more mid time this year, which was probably going to be a lot more impressive in terms of statistically. But yeah, just you starts from his first couple seasons out of it was basically just a Ford pocket who didn't have too much impact on the game, but that's just the way he plays. But yeah, the season ending injury might unfortunately, when you get a season ending in the increases the chance of you getting another one. But touch would it's just a one off thing for him. But yeah, I've left him out controversially. Other guys I'll mention that might be in yours, but not sure. Tom mccartin, he was there or there about to me, but I left him out. Sam Taylor as well, and Nick Coffield just missed out for me. Obviously I'm interested to see what your take on the saints boys from that brought is. But number ten, the other saints boil from the draft. I don't know if this is lower high, because I think you're a fan of him. I'm not a hund percent sure, but I brought it into a super goad to team this week. So I'm not that happy with him. But far very, very skillful years off the halfback line. So He's my number ten. I probably should get up where these guys went originally, but anyway, you...

...guys can work it out at home. Number Nine, I have led you. This is a lot more of potential than what he's put up so far. He's been very mix and match. They're not very too many good performances strung together, rarely four quarters strung together. So far at the start of his career, but he does just show a glimpse here or there. If you watch north of Melbourne, he might have a ten minute period or even just one piece of play where you go Geez, that guy actually has a lot of potential. So that alone is probably making me put him a number nine. A number eight, bit of a Bolter, but I think he's been tested in two different roles pretty much since you got drafted to the Melbourne demons and I think he's been pretty handy in both of them. Bailey Fritch, I've chucked him inte number eight. Statistically he's been very good. had a very good stuff to his career, both in the halfback and is a bit of a small Wall, like a small key forward type role that he's playing in now. So he's my number eight. But a number seven is a man I think a little bit underrated and it's no bolter. I think he's a very good backman, pretty good at intercepting it. He's picked up a fair few votes in my brown low thing this year. So he's one number seven. Number six another guy. Well, he's definitely put up good results so far in his career, but someone who is potential and raw talents just too exciting to leave out. Jaden Stevenson. Can't really buy pace, can you, and he has it and in abundance. Also loves to kick a goal. Has said that he's keen to get a lot more time in the midfield, which is exciting someone with that explosive power in there. So he's one of a six. My number five. He actually might have gone number five in the actual thing. I'll maybe number three, number four, I don't know, somewhere around there, but Adam Chera. Statistically he's actually not had the most impressive start to his career but he's definitely starting to fire this season. He's I think he's missed a couple games through injury, but yeah, chair has been very good and he he's got a lot of talent. Looks like he's going to be a good player for many years to come. Number Four, I've gone with Aaron Norton. Very very good hands. He started in the back line of thing in his first few games. Not sure if that's true. I think you might have been drafted as a back then. I don't know if he played back line, but we've seen it mainly as a forward kicking bags and now he's proving to be a fair, fairly crucial cog and that successful dogs team, as without him I don't know if that for line would be as function would be functioning as well. And, as we talked about in the last time we drafted a top ten, you know, the key position plays a lot harder to find. So here's one. Number four, number three. This guy's had a strange start to his career and it's the Warpedo James Wapple. He kind of rose to fame so quickly and he almost hit the level he's been at his whole careers like straightaway. So he's a tough one to judge. Deistically, he's probably the best player out of this bunch, but that's just because he's been performing at the level he is now for a long time. He's proven inside midfielder, so I've got him number three, but I think he to fight divides a lot of opinions, James Wapple, of whether he's actually effective or not. Number two, I've Gone Big Oscar Allen, similar to what I was just said about Norton, but on a bigger scale. Or very hard to find a good key forward, like we talked about with the kings and yeah, he looks like he's going to be an Absolu slut gun. He's almost starting to outshine Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling already, which is no mean feat at all. So I think he's a worthy pick. And number two and the number one. I was tempted to go I'llsk out on number one, but I thought I'm not sure about that. So I've gone with someone who I'm pretty confident is going to be a certified gun in our competition for ten years plus, and it's Andy Bray shure. Not Really surprised that he was a gun. You know, we went to school with him and just got that vibe from him that he was going to be such a hard work that he was just always going to be a gun. So not claim that I knew, I'm on a personal level or anything, but yeah, absolutely killed it last year, killing it this year. He came third in my fremantle best and Harris last year. He's currently there, are thereabouts again this year and he's already started to get tagged in what is it their third or fourth year, so that's pretty body impressive. So yeah, he's my number one, but interested to that here. Who you have a number one, because it wasn't a sit up this time around. So what's your top ten? Mate? Yeah, well, I'll actually touched. Well, first of all, actually I'll say I'm got badly FITTZ and x. He was a mature age, so he yeah, he was twenty one when he got drafted, so or the two thousand and twenty one. So who's like two or so, two or three years old. So that's why I've got him in there. But I should have mentioned that. We excluded them. So I excluded Kelly...

...and flying round, but I didn't know he was. So yeah, and the rookie draft as well. Yeah, yeah, but anyway, it's a little honorable mentions. This is going to cause a lot of differences between us, so I'll list off songs. We've also got McCarton in there. I've also got the coffeel in there, who I finished fourth of my best affairs last year but has been pretty disappointing this year so fast. So we just has been edged out. SNEAKS higans in there as well, Grind Myers in there as well, as been pretty good for Gelong, but hasn't just hasn't made a cup. Now I've got two big ones that you included in yours, plus one that you including your top five as an honorable mention. So I've actually got IM. First of all, I've got James Stephenson in and as own mention. Yeah, I think at the moment he has too many quiet games and giving his sort of stature, I'm not confident he's going to become like an a plus player. Could be proven wrong, very happy been proven wrong. So I love watching him play but, you know, given just he sort of, you know, similar to patty down the same building, I'm just near, not a hundred percent sure of actually also got the Warpedo in. It's an honorable mention. I haven't got him in and a top ten. And this this goes against my love for the war payed do given I spend about forty four minutes. Would Hour with him on the service and black rocks or to jumping off the ship with him. Absolutely top ripper bloke, but unfortunately I the reason he was drafted so low in about the s because because he was going to have an impact an AFL level and his potential wasn't, you know, ceiling wasn't high. It was, you know, he was almost at his potential, like it wasnt your first of all, he's a great leader but never going to be a great kick great disposal user, but you can throw them straight into the midfield. Hence why I had a such a strong start. So if we're going to consider like potential out of the next sort of ten years, unfortunately doesn't make the cut for me. And also he's been sort of tried and tested as a tager this year and sort of hurt. I guess he stats and all that, but anyway, I'm going to move on to my top ten. So I've got a number ten, or what someone who doesn't he barely gets mentioned because he's gws. I got Sam Taylor just to quality. You know, full back just doesn't get mentioned because he's in the ghost town. Number Nine, I've also got U dl LDU. Obviously same reason as you, just as it had the beast in out of output so far. But I think we've all seen, finally seen what he's going to be able to do and he's going to, you know, start having those thirty disposal games and we saw how much of a presence he was in a few minutes in the I think it was a North Adelaide game up forward. You know, he's just looks like an absolute specimen. So can't wait to see him. One that you I don't think he touched on. I've got it. Number Eight, Zach Bailey. He's got the traits to become a really well, he is a really damaging player right now, but he's got the traits become, you know, and even more so one. You know, he's lightning quick. You can go through the midfield and and already you know, you think you know he's got the attributes to be a solid midfielder. So he's also really versatile as played half back and half forward and midfield and wing like. You know, he's a very best still player and that's that's the coach's dream really. So I've got him at eight. Number seven. No, a Bolter, just freak attributes for someone the key position, height and build. You know, he's been vital to Richmond's lineup in the last sort of year or two. So him in at seven. Six, I've got Hunter Clark because he's had some well, the thing is he hasn't. He hasn't really sort of put together a string of awesome games, but he's had a couple of really good ones and, more so, couple good sort of quarters and moments in games where is look lad the game and sort of shaped itself around him. I don't know if you ever sort of watching played, but I think last year like there were moments when you know that the play sort of he was playing in slow motion, everyone else was and he just he just got this unnatural, uncanny ability to sort of sort of glide through everyone. So He's got pain wibry written all over him, but unfortunately hasn't been consistent yet. So he's got the talent, no doubts. So hopefully just inconsistency and some more minutes in the midfield, which lots of sts fans are crying out for, because he's one of my best ball users and, you our smoothest mover and a team. So I've got him at number six, number five, I've got camerader. It's because, yeah, it was obviously in the number one peak. He's got a lot of talent and this was going to be the years going to play bit more through the midfield and imagine with locking eel going down, this would have been a perfect opportunity for him to run through there and pass his way through the packs and everything. Unfortunately can't. But I think that that combination of that attacking, that forward ability and the midfield potential is just too good to put him any lower than that in the list.

In the ranking I saw in his under eighteen. Yeah, I watched like literally one quarter and he got like twelve touches and two or three goals. So it's just too good. So a number four. I've got Aaron Norton for the dogs. Like you said, quality keep position player. was drafted a sort of a back best time it sort of back and forward. Yeah, he had an awesome starts his career. I think you finished fourth of the dogs best and Ferris in his first year and I think it was the game against Richmond where he won it flo of his own boot, just taking some like I think he nearly broke contested mark record or something like that as a teenager. So He's been awesome for them. Hasn't like he's sort of stayed around that sort of mark. He's gotten a bit better in areas but like he's still obviously only young. You know, he's no doubt going to be an awesome player. So I've got him in a number four. Number three I've got a chair. I really like to show as a player. He's a very composed, very smooth moving midfielder, which you know east as we talked about. You know, I think it was last week, the week before. The AFL isn't the most sort of skillful sport, but that just gives an opportunity for those that are skillful to shine. So like chair is definitely one of them and he's going to be one of the sort of most composed, most prolific bowl users in the competition and he's starting to have those dominant games we've seen this year. I think, like I think I was about three out of his four games this year and super coach like a hundred and twenty. So he's going to be an absolute star and I think he does fly under the radar a little bit, given it that the likes of fife and brasure gets over brief shaw sort of overshadows in a little bit. And Number Three I've got Oscar Allen. Sorry. Number two I've got Oscar Allen just you know, he's obviously really signed to show how good of a players this year and I know he is like a third tall and he is copying the easiest sort of you know, it's copying like the third defender in a sense, and every really now. But he's shown enough to show that he will copy it. What when he does cop the the primary toll defender, he's gonna make a meal of some of them. He's going to keep bags and Bob to Stady love them and I think he loves playing there too. So he's going to be just there, their king for the next ten years. Another one. Yeah, there was no like absolute standout, I think this draft. But the moment I've got Andy Bray short just because I think, yeah, it's really short, but he's going to be just at quality midfielder and the next sort of ten years. So yeah, there's just sort of no way he's going to like fail, if that makes sense. There's no way he's going to like start dropping getting fifteen ten disposal games and getting dropped on that. He's always I think we've seen that. It's just the the amount of work he puts in, the amount of running he does. I know the bracials do that sort of hundred by hundred meter thing on like Cristmas Day or something, which is just ridiculous. We've seen the amount of work there is and he's just he's already a gun and he's just got to you can lock him in for like those two hundred and fifty three hundred game players for Freyo. So yeah, I've definitely got him at number one. And, like we said, he's already signed to get tagged. So obviously they only down games he has now, the ones he gets tagged it. So obviously the next years to come puts a bit more size on him, sort of learns a bit more about the craft of taggers. He's going to learn how to avoid them or to avoid them but sort of play on whilst they're still there. Yeah, excit. Obviously I can't wait to see how he goes. And Yeah, I reckon that's probably a fair analysis. Top Ten. Obviously you'd be disagreeing because of how you shake yours up. But yeah, I guess my apologies to warped or if he's if he's listening, given the best mates had hard time for Wi, should leave you out, but yeah, made me up for another meet up with me for another cliff jumping service jumping session. Maybe I can chuck you in there, but unfortunately that's going to be my top ten. Yeah, now, fair enough. To be honest, most of it wasn't that different. It is obviously the Warpedo, but I knew. I know he's very divisive, but yeah, Rainer and Bailey, yeah, just I don't know why not a fan. I just looked at their styles. Yeah, it's more just looking starts wise. But yeah, now I completely agreevey everyone. Fro Suck, Bailey and rain is obviously the number one pick. So it's fair enough. Did Not Know Fritch was a mature age. That's doesn't look at does he? Yeah, yeah, but yeah, all right, time for some supercoach talk. Obviously, the advice I'm going to about take with a huge grain of Sault. You're probably ranked above me if you're listening to this, so I'm more just talking about targets for myself here, and if you want to jump in on me, feel free. But Yeah, Roy and I will be talking about the biggest trade targets this week and also the best rookie options.

To be honest, has not many rookie options. I was seriously clutch and strolls when I was picking them, but I think there's some good ones coming in the next couple weeks. So hopefully blokes like mighty Frederick can keep his spot. He looks like he's going to be a good one, and maybe Lucky Jones comes back. Who knows? But all right, starting with the trade target's obviously a lot of big injuries this week. Uncle outneel out, Martin's going to be sitting out for a week. Rumors Zeebel's injured, but don't eyes right. He's a perfect yeah, that's good. I need that. But yeah, obviously, and then obviously everyone's looking far upgrade and stuff like that. Say, run always needs to know the best trade targets. So who are your top five trade tiats for this week? Well, if we're talking simply Primo replacements, because you know there's every single team that comps going to have at least one of those three. Well, obviously, if you don't have a Craig, got to get him. He's the best sort of mid he's the best midfield so far this year, absolutely star, and he just doesn't, for some reason doesn't get tagged. I'm so just got to have him in there. Clayton, old boy, he's sub six hundred kate the moment. Got To have him, got to bring him in. If you haven't already his score were hurt by that tag. But is it not going to get many of other better opportunities to bring him in? So if you don't have him, get him bonds and Pelly. Given donekeleys now out link bottom, get a few more mid minutes. I'm not not because Dunkley is a better playing the bond, just more so because that to share it around. It's just one less play out of that rotation. So Bond's definitely going to be in there. Sammy Walsh as well. When those players I don't think's going to be some six hundred K for much longer. It's probably best chance to get him as well. As we was speaking about bread shot before, Think Walsh has to get staring to get tag soon. He's just too good to not not be. So bit of an asterixs on Weald should sort of be prepared. Don't know how we would handle a tag, given he's a young player. Kind of imagine he still the bust out one hundred and forty. So keeping on on that, be wary if you bring him in that he could copper tag soon. He hasn't yet, so but we'll say. And now it's obviously Jack Steele, if you're training out neil and dusty and unklely, you know, steal the most expensive out of all of them and you're not going to get disappointed by him. So they're obviously cheaper options. You can say fifty, sixty, Seventy K, which is in vital this time of the year. But you know, if you just want to bring in Jack Steal, obviously a awesome option and there's also a few that are that are going to drop a little bit more. But you could bring in the lights of Dan Houston's one that I'm looking at probably next week. He's five hundred K. Now break him a hundred forty, but I think it's a top six defender, so I'm going to be target to him next week. Stephen May as well, for one that's just outside the top six but very, very cheap if you want to do a sort of like a half upgrade from a rookie to him and then sort of swap him over during the buyers and then hopefully dusty when he comes back. You know can be around four hundred fifty K or slightly under. So those are probably the five targets. I'd suggest just no forwards at the moment, really toby green's only viable one there, but do not trust his past. Obviously, Rod Marshall, but this yeah, it will probably drop a little bit this week and he's obviously started the year with an injury and obviously had a game in between his two this year given as well with injury. So probably can't recommend him as all yet. So if you can definitely bring in a midfielder for those guys that you be trading out, or even a defender if you haven't got any the likes of, you know, Ridley and well really is actually going to drop in the next few weeks. So sort of maybe white on him. But you know, Stewart's obviously big one that not a lot of people have, and just people like that. So yeah, yeah, hundred percent agree with all those guys. That's a hardly have any of them, so stressing me out, but probably going to bring one of one or two of them in this week. Looking at the forward line, obviously most people have them, but I think Zeebel and MP have now proven that they're pretty much must haves. Zeebel's and up Zeebel's basically a captain option at this point, and MP freeze value the fact and also the fact that you know, butters dusty Dunkley are all injured. He looks like he's a top six guarantee tonned for of the last five weeks and he's still only four hundred and thirty K. So want to jump on that now. He's break even is sixty six. So look, he's not going to be like crazy price in the next two weeks, but still want to get on that as early as you can because he looks like a safe bet at the moment. Few Midfield Pods, obviously the guys you mentioned are the certified premiums that we all want. If you don't have the funds to get up to that level. Well, to be honest, bitch, Duncan's pretty much as expensive as most of those guys, but he's a bit of a pod. Usually scores pretty...

...well. He's got a hundred forty nine on the weekend and then a hundred thirty three the week before, so he's break even's right down to sixty one. So if you want to jump on the Duncan pod train, this is the week to do it. Otherwise it's going to be pretty expensive going forward and this is a big risky pod because he doesn't mind putting up a stinker every now and then. But Jay Groma, he's had a pretty good start to the season. In his last four weeks he's had a a hundred and forty and then basically and thirty. So he is only five hundred and thirty K and he's break even sixty two. So that's a lot, way big. Like that's way risky than anything we've mentioned so far. But if you want to make a pod and you just want to pack him in, he could be an option. But yes, Sam Walsh is another one, as you mentioned. Definitely looking at jumping on him. I am a bit scared of that tagger. Surely, surely they've got to start tagging? Yeah, because he's just by far and away their most impactful midfielder. But yeah, they haven't so fast, so maybe they aren't moving forward. But yeah, I've got some big decisions to make because I think I'm going to be bringing in two primos. So hopefully two of the ones we just mentioned do well for me. Rookie options that this week obviously going to be dependent on team selection. But who are you looking at here? Well, well, my my trade. I'll go through with by trades I'm doing this week. So I've only got done clely out of donkey, dusty and neal, luckily. So I've obviously swinging dunkley straight to bond, with a bit of DPP there, which is had, which is very nice. I'm just a time of get scared of that Welsh tag. I know that if I don't bring it in then he'll bust out hundred forty s. If I do bring him in, he'll get tagged. The reason I didn't go for any breasure when I could have couple weeks ago because scare of that tag. So gone that. Straight from that to that and the other one this week, pending selection. So they'll either be errol Goulden or James Row depending on who gets dropped. If both get dropped, probably probably going to have to be James Rogues. I don't have any coverage food him, so he'll go out and I'll go to be downgrading to my number one rookie down grade target, which is joy Farre from Gold Coast, who's not a name that many people probably heard of before, but he is playing very well. The Gold Coast halfback line is bit of like a bit of a verse whole offender. He's got some really good at sort of attacking qualities. You know, he's pretty quick and strong, but he's playing a bit more of like a lockdown defender, almost like a third toll. So he's got reasonable job scuries. I'm mature age, so is not a chance of them sort of resting him for his body and all that. So you made pretty safe. Bring him in for at least up until probably the bar rounds. Is going to be my f six or F unfortunately, F five before lines the only worry at the moment. But teams still going on right. So going to have him as my five for at least the next maybe week or two. Second Rookie dewn great option is similar price at around a hundred eighty thousand. So bear in mind these aren't these aren't rookies because there's a so little. This week is our to see if I can get this right. Both center with Vargie. Yeah, so he's by yeah, so percent of a luggy. He's playing a half back roll at north and basically, look, if you show any promise at north, you're going to get a game. so He's showing promise. He's got some really good qualities about him. You know he's quick, he's got good hands and all that. So you know he's playing and he's also got reasonable job security. In out of those two it's really matter of WHO's got better job security, and I have to say give far, maybe by a little bit. So I think I've got him over are to at number three. Then I've got phinomcrae, just because there's no one else and he's an easy cray. So I was hoping to bring him involved a cop. Kind of glad I don't have to now because I was almost forcing myself to being in Abo after S. I've convinced myself to go spend an extra K, go for give far. I'm a lot more comfortable with and Finlay could even get dropped this week. So I've done that ahead of picking mine, Frederick a week early. I'm just very against picking rookies a week ahead of when they're about to rise. Just you know, Frederick could pump out of all son pump out but producer thirty and get drop straight away. So definitely, if if Frederick's playing next week, you pick him also. You know, the reason I pick in this week is because, you know, nine percent of super coach of the moment. Have Kau you ski in High War on the bench and because he seems about to rise, K in high or might come in this week. So don't trade any of them out yet. Let the rise and then maybe jump on Frederick next week if he's obviously produces a half days at score and plays. So I have to say those are the three kid down grades, so probably the only rookie down grades as well this week.

But yeah, definitely looks to bring enjoy far and hopefully you could produce some right numbers human bow mercury. At the moment. My F five and six will mature a during it up in my forward line. But yeah, apart from that, teams looking to right jump back into the threat top three thousand. So if I'd only picked flipping Ridley over the Taylor Daniel preseason, our be in that top thousand. So apart from that it's looking all right. Yeah, you mentioned my number one. Actually, most people have him, so it's not that relevant. But Tom him more. I reckon he's going to get a Gig this week, surely, and if if you don't have him, he's by far the best option to bring in a hundred, seventeen k and he's sort of assumed that everyone had him. So yeah, I'm pretty sure most too, I think is really highly aron still. So here's my number one. I do like our to just as Jack seebles showing anyone in that North Melbourne defense they're going to get points. I think even Bonn has been scoring well and he's a key defender, let alone are to is basically playing halfback, which is a lot more super coach friendly. So yes, he's a little bit more expensive, but north obviously like him. They bought him, brought him over from Collingwood, if I'm not mistaken, so they must have seen something in him. So they're obviously not going to, you know, drop him after two games. You wouldn't imagine. Draft hour is also good option. You spoke about him. And then the guy you already have, bow McCreary. I much prefer fire and Boston of Balagu. It's dude. Yeah, said this jam nearly. I was looking at the day. I was like, there's not know you are after Jeeva. It's a good name actually. But yeah, McCreary's been getting like s and he's kicking like three goals to guys yeah, he kind of realizes those goals feel like a Su see that's keep goal. He's legit getting five. So yeah, don't know about him, but he's a little bit cheaper than those two afore mentioned players. So yeah, if you want to cheap option, he's also decent. Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed McRae. I watched I think it was against West Coast and he showed glimpses and I was like on next week he's going to kill it. And ZAC DAW andy got like thirty. So yeah, yeah, don't even know if we get picked, but we'll see. But yeah, I'm interested to see Frederick. Everyone's frothing over him for next week but I don't even know if his jobs that's secured, to be honest. But yeah, I don't know, we'll see. And then yet also Riley Callie Dawkins, huge rookie. Watch on him once again. Richmond's probably got the toughest job security out of any team's very hard and lockdown spot there, but he could come in and kill it and make the selectors just keep picking him. So definitely going to keep an eye out for him. But yes, very worried about so good. So I'm not sure what trades them doing? dunkly out, obviously, and then I'm got to go to get rid of one of the maxing out rookie. So not sure who I'm going yet. Mike Go Chapman. Actually a bit worried about him, but yeah, good. Golden's also not looking too good at the moment. But I've also got braiding Campbell, so not sure. But I don't mind braining Campbell on my bench because he's got deepp so I can he can help me swing players around. But yeah, that's it's rookie DPA pay as well for comment debuting. Caleb pulter is a hundred seventeen case, so that's another option, but hasn't played yet, obviously, like coad Orcans. But DEP paymed forward. So few weeks watch we'll say, yeah, hopefully we need we need some. Basically, yeah, I'm to step up because, yes, since Lucky Jones has been injured, there's been no rookie interest at all. So that leads us into our week seven preview. We're going through our normal topics, the all better the week, the upset of the week and the best bending lines of the week. I'll be honest, I think this week's a bit tougher. Usually I'm prode. Just look at it and straight away I know what I'm going for. But yeah, I'm not too sure this week. But sure better the week. who were looking at me? I have a guess. Melbourne. Yeah, Melbourne Open. I don't know if sports better still doing that being where if you can go on the first sum as, they pay you out. But I mean chocolate chaking. Maybe five dollars in north in case. They keep the first one. In two minutes and you're already home. So No, no, and you never know. It's the type of game that MEL would lose. So I mean you can never be short, I felt, but I will see and God, I just I think the but the dogs going to win comfortably on Friday night. I'm obviously on them as sure bet. I think they're going to win comfortably. So and then and I think west coast as well. And free. I should be comfortable, but wait and see on that one. Big will be fairly distant too, and threes, but definitely Melbourne over north. Yeah, like I don't trust melbourn yet, which is probably pretty skeptical of me, but it is not. This is no offense to north. This is probably the worst AFL team we've seen the last five years, so that this would be one of the biggest upsets of all time if they got up...

...here. So they might be competitive, but I think getting the win is way too much to ask for. It isn't Tazi, which doesn't put me off, but like it makes me think it might be closer than a normal game, because I don't know why North and Hawthorne just seemed to scrap wins out at Tasi. But yeah, surely Melbourne get it done. They have to do otherwise they're a joke. It's freets here. They just can't listen. Yeah, but yeah, actually write your third call. Obviously not going to say with as much confidence as Melbourne to be north, but yeah, I'm actually pretty confident in the West Coast will be free Oh, I just think it's a bad matchup for freemantle. West Coast is midfields pretty depleted right now, so free I might win the clearance battle, but doesn't help. Rather than Cooki ten. Yeah, that's the main thing I'm scared of. Frio's Back Line is myth city back there there's I don't even know who it is, like Brandon Cox and stuff, and I don't know if Josh Kennedy's playing, but darling and Allen alone is enough for Free Oh to struggle with. So yeah, I just don't see them containing west coast. West Coast obviously going to need a bounce back and I don't know what the stats are, but I swear west coast just don't lose this game. But yeah, I'll be going for freemantle. Not the biggest fan of west coast and I like Freeo, but as I think most non west coast fans will be. But yeah, I just can't see west coast losing. To be honest, they're paying a dollar fifty five as well, so it's not bad value. But yes, upset of the week for you, though. Who are you looking at? I'm well, I'm not binding the bombers against the blues. I reckon the bombs could go to from to. Like I've always said, they've got a big game atmosphere about them and I love the atmosphere of their fans. Give them and I think I just you. I knew. I knew that tipple was going to kick bag and the bombs going to win. And the fortune. I didn't. I put money and I'm wind a bit on the couple multis with the bombs winning, but I knew tipple was going to kicklick five and I'm such an idiot I know it was just trusty cut. But Anyway, I've got the bombers beating the blues, an upset. That's the only upset off tipped. But I've got a couple that are potent, have potential. So GDA, we as against Adelaide and also, unfortunately, hawks gets the saints, just because I want to be wrong, because I'm always wrong with these, so I'm going to say that one there. But they can also be a lot more upsets this week, which is what's so great at this week. I'm actually not I'm very, very intrigued by this Collingwood Gold Coast matchup. Gold Coast obviously barely get many games on the GE, but I'm not sure I could is it might be been kings first game on the Gee. Could be wrong with that one, but it will. It's definitely not. You know, it's it's definitely going to be as like either if it's not first, second or for no more than third. So can't wait to see what he does out there. But yeah, I'm very intrigued by that matchup because Gold Co's barely ever play there, so very interested to see what happens they're obviously Brisbane could get over poored just because it's at the gather and Brisbane or a good team and Sydney could get over to long. I'm and yeah, I made Frari's big fields obviously probably got a bit more superior than West coasts at the moment, but in terms of key position West coastould haven't covered and I don't really given its Richmond. They're probably make me look silly, but I can't see them upsetting dogs, given the fact the Richmond and our Lost Martin and Lambert and a couple of those in the dogs are just firing, and I they just lost dunk clear, but I made just speak strare in there. If you want alls. Well. So yeah, I just can't really see the bomb the Tigers winning that one, given they've also got a couple of young kids going to be in there now. But they're Richmond. So if any teams going to make me look silly, it's going to be down. So yeah, yeah, my upset of the week. I'm going third thirty. Three times out of seven. Gold Coast to be collingwood. They or they're giving me one win one loss, but I don't know. I just from them. Yeah, and I'm I swear collingwood and colins odds. We're just talking about this before and are super coach group Chap, but I swear calling when colins odds always like way shorter than they should be. Something up there just so far this season. And Yeah, I reckon these old should be about even. So for Gold Coast to be hundred sixty, I think that's pretty good value. Yeah, Collingwood just have not really impressed anyone, have they, since probably round three. So I'm liking Gold Coast chance. I don't know how many wins they have the MCG. Can't imagine it's many, but he is. He's the best chance you'll get to add one to the list. The yes, the best betting lines for the weekend. I'll start us off. As I mentioned, I'll I'm pretty confident the west coast will be free. Oh but if you just want a little bit of extra security them at the line, you get four points. So why not? If you are a little bit scared about it being a close thriller? And then I'm actually going north. I...

...just think I don't know Melbourne. I don't have enough faith in them to know that they're going to execute north. But Yeah, plus fifty seven handicap. I reckon north. Keep it within fifty points. So yeah, yeah, look, that's just no idea if that's going to happen. But yeah, why not the what do you think? What was what was your want about West Coast? You say given more security. It just they're just, Oh no, it's the opposite of more. Yeah, that's so. I wanted to yeah, yeah, Um, that's OK. Anyway, I had a tendl a bonus. But, and I like these lines so much. Well, the first time I said that that I put on a full leg multi. So I've I have done falling multie with the first of all with the dogs against the tags at I guess, what can you say? At the time that put it on it was negative ten point five at a doll any. It's now at eleven point five. So glad to see that I got it when it was high. Next one was port over the lines. I think port will get it done. Loss of neils. It's going to be big, but I think poor much better team at the moment. At when I got it it was actually at the moment it's got down, but at them when I got it was near to five point five and then just long when I got it was need to ten point five against Sydney and it's down out to thirteen five. I just seen to long's have another avenue to goal, as we saw on the weekend with Jeremy Cameron, and the swans are getting, you know, their kids are sort of stopping a little bit in golden and Campbell and that, and they're getting a bit of a few injuries, like you know, ramp and hanging and all that. So I think cat should get done comfortably. And the last one, like we said, west coast. I got him at negative six point five, which somethings actually got down. But surely the likes of Darling and our just kick another five AAG. So yeah, I like those lines so much I put a ten dollar bonus. been on that for a hundred twenty returns. So obviously you know I'll probably get them all wrong, but those ones are pretty sense. No, don't very happy now, reckon, that's a pretty good chance of happening. Yes, I got confused of that waste coast one, but it's right. Yeah, whenever the more the handicappers less than a goal and I'm confident in the team will win. Why not? GWS ADELAID's interesting. I'm interested to watch that one. I'll like watching both teams. No idea which way it will go. So that's one where I think gdws might be a bit of value. But yes, we'll see how that one plays out. Up the North Melbourne footy cloth, come on, fifty seven point head start, you can do it. I'm back in your end. Worried about them. I Guess Jack Melbourn Will Pick Beam Brown. I think it would be a dog act personally. All right, might wait one more week. Yeah, I gonna be a dog actor, bringing me in against his former team and have them just kick ten. I don't think north fans need anymore salt right means. I think that bed a bit of low blown, but yeah, anyway, all right, that's it for another week. May We loved your company on it tonight's episode. I think we're doing pretty body good job. Still absolutely in all of your analysis of Collingwood cartons and killed it up very, very professionally done. But that's us for another week. I reckon we're just going to do those draft things every week now. I love test. I'm not just work back through the years get back to like one thousand nine hundred and seventy. Don't even know the boys don't even know if there's a draft then, but yeah, or enjoyed the weekend of footy. Go the sayings, go port and we'll catch you next week. Cheers,.
