Welcome back to another episode of theon the wall, podcast the best potty going around here for another Narlepisode and today will be reviewing finals week, one or an awesome week. Itwas for interesting games or, for their own reasons, we're going to take a bitmore of a deep dive. This week. Usually because says you know, eight games, there's a lot going on. Some of the Games may be. Aren't thatimportant? I sort of just skim over the games to have a breath. Just briefdiscussion of what happened, but to do have you know. Doesn't research gotsome starts talked about what went wrong for teams and Oh yeah. So that'sprobably going to take a bit longer today, but there is only four games, soI might even out so a yeah that should be good, diving into a bit more intothat, and then I wasn't going to do this till next week, but the delianawards reportedly hasn't been announced, as we all know, when or on fans. No Damawards, one of the old time worst run event ever not to always compare us to a FL, butthe brownlows are very official event and run very, very well and we stilldon't really know the date. The sauce I saw today said it's overtwo days over the twent and the twenty seven, so I'm not sure what they'regoing to be doing differently. I don't know if there may be going to spend abit more time on the Dallyan Plate Vote, count which I wouldn't hate, because Ido think sometimes it sort of just goes a bit quick and they just read like thetop ten people who matter, which I think is a bit stiff. Eric and you knowthe players who get vote should be credited. If youknow what I mean, even if you only get one for the season, but so I'm going to touch on that because Idon't know what awards are being mentioned next Monday on the twentiethand recording this on the Monday so a week before that, but I just saw justin case they go through a lot of awards. I May as well do my Dalim episode todayand then obviously going to preview the I guess the semi finals. Are they twosemi finals are this upcoming week, but firstly into the final first weekof finals. We s bit of a weird one. Really. I saidlast week there weren't going to be many upsides. There was one and it waspretty close. So in that sense I wasn't too far off, but the game. I think everyone was mostexcited for probably turn out to be the biggest fizzle, the store Morses, theseagal on Friday night. I I don't know I just had I said on the podcast. Ithink the storm will win, but I don't think I'll be by much like I think Imaybe said fifteen to twenty points somewhere in there, but on Friday and leading up, I just hadthis sneaking suspicion. I know this sounds like I'm just saying this, andyou know bit of confirmation. Bias probably makes me feel a bit betterabout it, but I did did have a feeling like it wouldn't shock me at the stormblow manly out they'd all had a week off, everyone was sort of starting towrite them off. I think Michael Lannis had the third and these power rankings, which I just think was ridiculous. I will give myself credit. I've had thenumber one of my power in kings all season having wave it on that one, butand yeah there's a lot of people backing in panthers for the Premiership,a lot of people backing in manly, and I just thought this is the kind ofsituation where Melbourne put on a real performance and shortsort of just show everyone who's boss. Yet again so, and that's exactly whathappened? The storm had sixty one percent possession and completed aninety percent, so those two combined really hard to beat them pretty much. You need to get storm on a day wherethey may be a little bit less disciplined than usual, but that's avery, very rare and they've just got too much skill to when they have sixty one percentpossession you're not going to beat...

...them really. Unless you have one of theluckiest performances ever and then yeah ninety percent completion, that'sobviously something they thought of if they just have more ball than theopposition, even if the opposition as like turbo one stuff, they just backthemselves to be good enough to win the game, which makes sense. The storm hadfive line breaks. Thirty six tackle breaks, which are both prettyincredible, considering manly hardly had any. I think that zero live breaksin general and the storm had six hundred and fifty meters, Walter Manly, which is pretty incredible. Manly, had nine ers nine penalties, so I'm likethe store manly were very ill disciplined nine Arass, not actually outrageous inisolation, but I think the storm an they had like five, so you can pare itto some of the other games and it doesn't sound ridiculous. But when youput those two together, eighteen turnovers- I guess you could say yeah you're, not really helping achance is also something interesting. I know Ted. They only use fiveinterchanges, and I I haven't never checked this stout of my life, but Idon't know if manly have always been doing this, but I thought that was apretty weird just a weird thing to be doing. I know some of their bench is inthat experienced and the likes of Olako and choose to comply. Eighty minutes, but I just thought that was pretty bizarre to only be using five interchanges. It seems like it's somewhat of a disadvantage, especially when you'reup against such a good forward pack like Melbournes. Another thing, obviously you got to address it. turbon have the normal impact that he has, butI'm not going to I'm sure, there's going to be a lot of people who comeout and say his crap and all this stuff or is to jared Hayne, but he's still a great player. Don't get mewrong would not shock me if he comes out and puts on a clinic this week, butsomething I do have to question is so I've only had twenty touches, and thisis the first time he's had less than thirty top ter since around seven, so awhole ten less touches and that's pretty significant, and I don't know Idon't know if I'm over analyzing this, I think the first fifteen minutes hewas really up for the fight like really wanted to put on a show. I think he gotmet with some physicality. Some rough tactics really for Melbourne. I think afliscus as I self and does came out and you know nothing illegal, but they weredefinitely pushing the boundaries of what's allowed in tackles, and I'm notsaying he's soft or anything. But after that first fifteen, and I know hewasn't having as much success so maybe mainly for that's not working. Let's godo something else, but when you've been tearing up the competition as much asturbo has, I just think he's earnt the right and manly should have enoughfaith in him to just keep going for the whole eighty minutes, or maybe for atleast sixty minutes or just do it here and there not just go fifteen minutes. If it doesn't work, we pull out for the rest of the game because yeah, I don'tknow if it was a tactical thing or Turba just didn't, want the ball. Ididn't notice. His positioning was a lot worse in the second half and it didalmost seem like he was a bit rattled and he didn't really want the born. Thesecond half, which it could a be true. I could be over analyzing it as Imentioned, but for me touches is, I know, you're going to get more touches. The more effective you are, but touches is something that you can control. Youcan't control how many meters you get necessarily. Sometimes the defense isjust going to be really on to you. You can't control how many linebreaks youget because yeah, as I mentioned, the defense might be too good, but youcontrol how many times you get the ball, and I just found that really bizarreand that's what I was disappointed in from turbo. I think you only had likeeight touches or something in the second half, so oh yeah, that was really disappointingfrom me. I didn't care that he had it off game. He was during off game. Hewas against the best defense of the competition, but the fact that hedidn't really go searching and didn't. I think he had a run five meters outwith ten Dogo and that was sort of something we hadn't seen since thefirst fifteen minutes and that sort of bark this thinking but yeah. I thinkthat was a bit disappointed from turbo, but don't get me wrong. Gum Playeralways was Dufo an...

...less effective game and I think hemight be back this week, but just thought I'd mentioned that, for thatwas a bit disappointing. Morgan Harper also had a real shock. He's had a greatseason, but it's started from go. One really word one really sort of was thatfault for that? First: Try Charmin, not with the greatest past, but just wentstraight through his hands and can't remember some of the others, but I canhad three errors. All up only had like sixty meters. He just wasn't his usualself. I was listening to on the Saturdaymorning. I watched the bloken Abart Black and barn hello. Sport did a livereaction to it and can pe of blocking a bar mentioned that someone like himwho's like a very passionate, energetic player anyways. They sometimes maybetry and lift another gift for finals when they don't really need to becausethey're already at that level on a regular basis, so that he was sayingmaybe he was trying to hard, which I definitely could see that being true.Someone like Morgan Harper, hasn't really made a name for themselves onthe mainstream stage, yet maybe want Ed. You know to put his day in brightlights, but he just wasn't playing his best foot and this calls for mose slowto come in. I think that would just be ridiculously drastic. This is the teamthat people were saying could have been the premiership on Friday morningbefore they got tailed up here. So I don't think you make changes to line uppersonally on the storm side of things, however, well poppenhausen and a monster all massive, the three best players in thepark for the elbourn Pappenheim, pretty much straight back to his best. Hisjust turns of speed almost UNSOFT and makes you understand why everyone wassaying, maybe he's better than teddy in the first month of the competition when it was the tiniest gap, all theQuito pushed out a little bit too much cherry evins didn't really slide andPapanasam just went bang and within a second. He was through that gap andyeah he made Cherry Evanslook for a couple times. Monster was really good. His king game was good sort of thought. This would be a bit of a bounce backgame for monses not had these best season, but he's the best big gameplayer in the competition and Welch. I think showed that he's the best prop inthe game. In the big games, obviously pain haswould have something to say about that, but in club land we don't really seehim in the big game so hard to say, but Yeah Welch was immense. I think LoomiLoomi, probably the only negative to come out of Friday night. I think hewas playing because George Gen one sorry I was playing because Ada car wasinjured and George Jennings was on the otherside. They weren't playing Dan Eremi, but he had a real shock or outeatshould be fit by the prelim. But if he's not, there will be a big call forBelme to make whether he brings in Ermi, because yeah Lomi Lomi was reallysuspect under the High Ball, and you would guess that they're going to playpenrith in that pre Limin, you don't want money, your back through beingdodgy under a harbor with Nathan, clearer, kicking spiral bombs at you,so yeah. That was probably the only negative for the storm, but I'm sure Ido ca will be back by then. So that should be all good into the sad firstSaturday game. This was a game I highlighted as a potential upset.I thought the tines had the best chance of upsetting their higher seat if theiropponent out of the four underdogs this weekend didn't end up being right, butit was very close. Came down to the final play, the game game the year. Forme, I think I've said it a couple times this year on the podcast. But honestly, what more? Could you want from a gameof Ronie than what happened in this? I don't think, there's much more, thatyou can tick off. There was twenty five areas, so you could argue it's not agood game, just purely based off that fact. But if you watch it, you wouldn'tknow that was the case. It was just back and forth all day. Lead changesevery time. The time scored the roosters would just bounce back. Some of the starts. I found prettyimpressive. The Times tackled at Ninety...

...one point: seven percent tackleefficiency, which is just immense, especially against such a talented teamlike the roosters Daniel to pro James S, go mat, Gabali all had at least ahundred and seventy meters out of the back field, and they were a massivereason why the roosters ended up getting up the roosters had a costly err in the in their intermet aline when Mak a bally dropped it straight into wilse's, hands who sortof just had to dive over the trial an for me. I was obviously going for thetitans, as I like the Times, and I usually do go for uther dogs. But forme, after the game I was sort of like well, maybe it's justice that therooters got through there, because I know it's still part of the game drunkyleague, but at the end of the day, if they lost- and that was like the finaltry, the time score- that I avalos giving them the ball. That would havebeen pretty crazy. The roosters forwards were also massive for them. SC attacke injured himself, after justbeing on the field for two minutes, Sam Walk and they played nine minutes andFletcher Baker only played eight minutes so yeah. Some of the minutes inthat forward pack were impressive, worry hard rays. I like a hundred andninety meters or something to Penang Crime, were huge on the edges. Isaciowas also massive playing into this future club, which was been interestingbut yeah. The roste forwards have been great all year and were once again onthe Titan side of things. However Jadan Campbell absolute star. I was justtalking to my dad when we're watching this game and, like honestly, this isprobably the best rookie class I've ever seen like I'm sure you could goback to the archives and find a better one, but just on their first year alone, I'venever seen a group of players coming and have such impact on their clubswill talk about it in a bit more depth in the dallion rookie of the year awardthat we're going to do later in the episode, but like Jane Campbell, notsaying a j brimpson's, a bad player, obviously is an origin representative, but yeah Jadan camel was just seen to add an absolute spark to this team thatthey were lacking. Sam Walker as really impressively filled a hole inthat roosters lineups turing them around for seventeen games at half backrace was filling a sues Roger to o arsace you'd have hardly noticed. Therewas a change. There was that good Josh Juster as been immense for manly, whotalk a mane and Dan Larry for the Tigers, were awesome in a strugglingteam. So yeah that, honestly, I don't think, there's been a better rope classin Jadan Campbell. If you had played more games, could definitely be in therunning for that rookie of the year award because he has been huge. AVICENT has been given an opportunity for the timesand I think I don't think it's confirmed, but I definitely think ifthey can get Campbell at one brinton at six next year and they get brims onfiring. I think that's going to be a lethal combination and then other players that I thoughtreally good for the Times Brian Kelly and Patrick Herbert. I thought playedreally really well in the sentence both had over ten meters of carry big bodiesand they definitely made the most of that. Obviously Herbert was part of theunfortunate ending I'll be honest, live I was actually yelling just goyourself and I still think if you just held on to the ball and just kepttrucking, I think you might have got there, but in the end you went for theMiracle Flick Pass. It's a tough one, because it's one where you sort ofcommit to yourself and then you go. Oh crap, I an not skill, scor flick it outthe back, but I know everyone on replay saying that he should have given it tofifed and I think he should have given it to feed it if he went early butafter he sort of committed to running it was pretty hard because he wouldhave had to like go back inside and sort of predict for feed his angle butyeah. I don't think it can be too harsh. I think everyone's being too harsh onHerbert. I understand thoms and yelled and him and that's just passion and I'msure they, you know, had a beer out of the game and everything was fine but yeah. I thinkyou can't really over analyze a...

...situation like that because yeah, it's probably the most precioussituation you can do, and there was maybe about four or fiveoptions he could have done and unfortunately the one he picturesdidn't work so yeah that I felt bad for her bit after a really good game andthen, in the forwards, Mo od away to Jad Wallsend Tino for Somali ow, wewere in met honestly fot away. Current Tino are so good. Wallace was likelegit playing like a ball playing lock at times he was so agile and his ballplaying was impressive. They all had over one thirty meters, those threeguys Tino and Mary- also had thirty three tackles mowed and missed singletackle, for the wake was also huge in the last ten just when they need a tlift. Obviously, there was a little bit of controversy surrounding the fieldgoal with the blockers and stuff I went. I listen to the nil briefing with GrayMaudina today and it sort of clears it up. It sounds like the rule will bechanged in the off season, but they weren't breaking war. It's hard to argue, I just think m yeah, it's tough, it's a tough onebecause Mitran he can't run the direct line because warrior hard grows. Isthere sadly they've been letting them do it all year and for quite a fewyears now, actually so yeah. I think it's something that will be addressingthe off season, but for now, unfortunately, I don't think times havemuch of a case, I think of Abbans for the rest of thefinals. I'll give you the hint now, based on what I heard in that briefing,I think players will run into the block and hit the deck and make the rest makea call. That's just what I think will happen, because a journal Astare that and and as Le said, that would be a completelydifferent situation and if they are yet deemed it to be in the way it would bea penalty so yeah. If that happens, don't say I didn't tell you that nowdoes into the Sadday night game, panthers versus rabbit, Os, low, scoring game typical finals. Only three tries were scored, and I know like Paul. Kent has ruledthe panthers out and I think that's a bit extreme they've definitely madethings hard afford themselves. It looked like after Friday night that apenrith Melvin grand final was almost a lock, but the Ramnes got the job done and fairplayed away and Bennett. Arguably one of the best wings of hiscareer. They will right up against it their best player, not in the team and yeah. It was just huge in the robesthey all just put in a hundred percent. I wasn't the greatest of viewing, especially after the rousters titans game, but yeah penrith. Just look really tired. Idon't know if the conditions played a part, obviously more human and hot upin North Queensland, that it is in Sydney and even South East Queensland, but both teams playing the same condition. So you can't really use thatargument, but they yeah. They just look tired. I think Jerome Lewi. Obviously it's easy to bash on a playerafter they've lost and not so much when they've been winning, but I do think.Since origin Jerome has been pretty quiet, he was awesome at the site ofthe year, but now yeah- I don't know I looked at these starts for the game.Had seven runs. Forty nine meters only kicked it twice like you. Just didn't,have much impact on the game and yeah. I think I, like, I know clear,he's the best kicker in the game and he's also the best half back in thegame, but I still think you need that balance to be a potent offense and like if you get a little, I fire, because right now, defenses, basically now they're going to give to cleary andthe only time really low. I get to the balls when clear. I gives it to him, soI do think they could maybe get that balance a little bit more. Even in the forwards kick out, and youreally really good, I'm not the biggest fan of kick out usually, but I thoughthe played really well on the weekend, and I say you good, as always, on thesouth side of things. Blake Taft did a very, very good job at full. Back had acouple of mistakes, but all all three...

...young men only playing like his fifthgame or something whatever it was yea super stuff. On the big stage you would have known it was his fifthgame. For me, Campbell brain was man in the match. Yeah I just he just seemed to be makingthe big tackles when it counted. He was obviously playing up against thatdangerous penrith left edge and yeah. He was just snuffing out allopportunity, Loi Burton toto, they didn't have much impact on the game andI think Campbell grain had a huge saying that I think for me this is a bit of a breaking out like I know, he's been inthe origin, camp and stuff like that. But for me this is a bit of a breakoutgame for him. I've always seen his skill, but I've never quite seen himlike really dominated game, and I thought defensively. He was the bestplayer in the park for Saus. I also thought cody walk at his bestbig match performance. I mentioned in last week's podcast. This is like thefinal chance I'll give Wako you performance badly on another big stage,I'll officially never say he's a great player but yeah. He was really good. Ithought especially early when the Games on the line. I know I was on the linethe whole eighty minutes, but I thought he was really really good and yeah. That's something he hasn't beenable to do in previous big games. So that's huge for him and the Rabbit Osmoving forward. Tom Bird just had two hundred and twelve meters off the bench, which is absolutely insane for a Ford in a finals match against one of theBest Ford packs in the COMP, so fair played to Tommy Burgers Gyara had amassive impact off the bench as well. I think he's sort of given them that edge andthat forward pack they've been missing the last couple O years they've sort of like depth in theforwards recently and yeah him and bird just coming off. The bench is justdynamic and he really gets under the skin of the opposition as he was doing, and the bunnies were more disciplined than the panthers of the end of the day, which is important. Obviously the big headlines coming out of this one, thepress conference, beef. If you actually watch the press conference, I don't think it was that, like hectic, what Iven clearly was saying was true, saying that, like it's a bit weird thatyou can't say stuff about the referee after again, but if you say during theweek you don't get fined, which is also which is interesting. He said he isadmitted to doing it before, but he said that needs to be looked out, whichI think, like fair point and Yeah I've in clearly just has thisway of speaking he's very measured about things. So you sort of he's verypersuasive you'd have to save people to get behind his point, but yeah. He wasalso talking about up. He doesn't think Carter should be allowed to call uprafts and have like direct contact with them, because like thinks it's a littlebit like in intimidating or whatever, and hereckons maybe that played easy. He was saying his players were getting toldstuff about, maybe blocking for cleary that during the game that they've neverbeen told before so yeah. I get like it's an interesting point. I didn'treally know there was as much dialogue between the clubs and the raft as therewas the raft. It makes sense and I was saying maybe they shouldn't but, like Italk to my dad and he's like now, they deserve the chance to talk about someinterpretations, and that is true, but ye don't know it's an interesting oneand the cleary wasn't really like blaming Wan Ben. He was genuinely justtalking about the issue in general, where finish sort of fired some shotsat Ivan, Clara, saying used to work. There he's got made there, theyprobably get the benefit of calls and stuff. We ben it a like. It was prettyfunny press conference. If you haven't watched it go watch them. It's pretty like it's a bit of soap, opra stufffrom the press, comrades, but that moved us into the final game. Eelsnights on the Sunday wasn't Kane for this one ended up being a decent game high scoring than I was expecting eels.Twenty eight to nine twenty controversial penalty. Try at the end,but ultimately I don't think it out...

...that much bearing on the result. Ithink the years were always going to get over the line once again go watch the Niro refereesbriefing. If you want to hear the judgment on that penalty, Try GrayManele talked about it pretty well. Mitama is played really well. I've beencritical of him in the past. I think he's a bit of a flat track bully but-and I know the night on the greatest opposition, but he ran the ball a lot, which is something he sometimes forgets. That is one of his greatest skills.Next to his kicking game, he's just an awesome running he's really fast andhe's got great elusiveness, and I think it was the try scored when he just ranstraight, or maybe he assisted a try care, but he went ran straight betweensciped and clamor and yeah. The like there was this ten week period for theTigers, where he played really really well and that's what he was doing likehe was taking the game on running and I think sometimes he steers away fromthat too much, and it was good to see him doing that again. He played awesomePoma really played well. I questioned his abilities last week. I said hehasn't had a great season still stand by that, but think he had his bestperformance of the year. Some beautiful cut out passes that onethink twiles last try absolute rocket, took the defense completely out of theequation, he's unstop Abwa Times, and I think you,as they were, making a conscious effort to give him more ball and in betterpositions. Michel peers played really poorly, though, and I don't think he'shelped his case for staying at the nights next year. I know he's signed up,so it's not really their choice, but I definitely think if a club comes in foran offer, even if they have to pay a little bit of his salary, I thinkthey'll take it because yeah unfortunately like it's a toughone, because I think they've built this squad to be in a premier ship window. However, the coach timing and the squad timing hasn't really met lined up well,so I think they're not going to like rebuild, but I think they've got a aimagain for maybe in four years or something because yeah right now they're stillfair way off. But you know: They've signed gaged they're linked to TarikSims will see how that goes. I don't know if that will happen, but yeah therest of the team still pretty young. I think clamor leaves this years off.Contract they're still got the cipher boys bench. Barnet, connal Watson'sbeen like go so yeah. It wouldn't shock me if they've and they've obviouslybrought in Clifford. So I wouldn't chuck me if they do like a mini, not arebuild but a many like stagnation, to try and launch again for maybe athousand and twenty five Pamere ship, because although their squads reallyreally good right now, just with the coaching situation, I don't thinkthey're really going to be in the conversation any time soon. So Iwouldn't, I think, P- should leave personally on the power side of theball will penes absolute freak every time I've watched him. I've been soimpressed, he's so good defensively and then that flick pass to furgot. I don'teven know how he got it out. Honestly. I swear his arm didn't move. I was justall rest and he somehow I flung it it and yeah. The camera was even like.Where did that go, but only nineteen years old looks like he's twenty five, but Ricans just going to be not maybe not as good as Jos Morris butlike he gives me that kind of Vibe, like he's just going to be a dependable, reliable center for so many years to come. I say a Papale had a hundred andninety four meters in fifty six minutes off the bench. Seventy one post contactmeters- I was shocked. He came off the bench to be honest because I actuallyhadn't checked the team list and then once I saw what he did off thebench, I was like yeah that fat play Brad Arthur, I have to say I'm not sureabout Brad Arthur is coach, but he bantom good calls here. Race, stone, playing, hooker was his next good call, obviously didn't have like a dynamicrunning game or anything, but he made fifty tackles in fifty four minutes.Honestly, I think, is still a free agent for next year. If I was the tigstigers, fan talking, I'd go sin Imu because he plays with passion playswith soul...

...and yeah he's a really really gooddefender, which is rare to see these days. Also, on the night side, sorryand Ritalin Hamel Hunt played pretty well out the back, but that moves us onto just the headlines. I've just got one today before we move into the delimportion also got to do the power rankings. They moved the storm PrelatoDay and I'm pumped about this. I couldn't believe that there was goingto be an NR prelim and a l Gran final clashing. I know the a FL moved theirgrand final into our reland time slot, but I think logic has prevailed in theNARL has brought the storm prelim forward. I'm sure it. Actually. I don'teven know if I heard the ratings actually because they were probablygoing to lose ratings. Today. F, L, I think any nil fan who doesn't thinkthis is a good moves, a bit of an idiot and a bit like. I don't want to be attacking, because I know everyone has their opinions, but I think you're a bitstubborn if you think this is a bad move. Ultimately, I think I know therein competition, but I think fans I have an interest in a fl. I live inMelbourne, so I would like to watch the grand final, but I wull also like towatch the storm Prelim. So I'm grateful for this and I think, there's a lot ofpeople in my position who they might not be a fl fans, but they certainlyhave an interest in watching the biggest game of the year. So I'mgrateful they've done it for people who say it's like an inferior move. It's abackwood step for Peter ve land is a yes I mentioned. I just think aflare out their throats a little ateach other's strides a little bit too much at times, and I think there'senough people in Australia to have two big winter codes, and I can't see why they can't do wellharmoniously together, be anyways, that's another chap for another day,but very glad the nirled. That common sense did prevail. Power rankings hugechange in this one, and this is really controversial. Obviously I got thestorm one. Pretty Self Explainin tree put on a clinic, looking short thingsfor the grand final now this is weird, but this is how the DRAWR has ended up.I've actually changed my order and it seem me put manly at number two. I knowit sounds stupid because they got pumped by Melbourne, but anything canhappen in the grand final you've just got to be. there. You've got to buy aticket to win the lot tree as they say, so you got you got to be there and Ijust think with the Sea Gulls draw, I think, they're next to the storm, I think they're thesecond most likely tem to make the grand final. I honestly do. I know theRabbito just beat penrith so artabe. They should be the number two, but Ijust think the fashion they did it. It was really tough. It was really hard. Iwas gritty defense, but I don't think it like impressed me interms of like attacking flair or whatever, and I think themanly could be the rabbit o. So I've got manly second RABIDEST IRD becauseof that factor, and then I got penrith fall. Sadly, I don't think they're thefourth best team, the cant don't get me wrong, but I just think they're drawnow. If they go in to win the premiere shoot here, it's going to be one of thebest winds ever because that's going to be a huge coming up against well, poweramount is not going to be easy this week and then trying to beat the stormin the week after it's going to be really tough, five and clear as men,and then I got the roses in it. Fifth, I know they're on the easier part ofthe drawer, but I still think beating manly the titans Manley and Rabbit Os.I still think winning all those three games for this injury riddle squad willbe really tough and then I got power and at six they have to be pantersanstallt to back weeks. Really tough, I'm all right dally am awards time, I'm going to go through all the awards, starting with rookie of the year. I think Sam morges locked, locked andloaded baby seventeen games starting half back for the roosters. However, this isn't not about what I think will happen. It's what I believe should happen, who I think therookie the year is now look. I've found this one weird. Ididn't think Sam Walk was the best...

...player, but ultimately a lot of recencybuys in that he hasn't been playing half back the last six weeks and I thought it was re Walsh.Personally, however, I've looked at some starts. Responses played a lotless games and I thought as well, so I think Walker should get it just ahead.A Walsh and then shouster be third, but I think it should be really close. However, because it's done on dalliant,so it wouldn't be surprised if it's a whitewash could shoes to probably willstruggle to pick up votes and manly and Rice Walsh is playing a team that losta lot of game. So I think Walker could cruise to that one captain of the year I've given it toJames Tedesco. I just think the way he's led his team through really toughtimes at points. He probably didn't even know some of the blokes he wasplaying with and I will say about ten years- become a bit of a winger as alot of captains do but yeah. Ultimately, this is a tough awardbecause we don't really know what a captain is like, but I just think theways we can week out he leads by example, is one of those captains isnot like. You know the loudest Talker, but he leads by example, always playsnine or ten out of ten each week and yeah, I think, is a her Desani. Theroosters made finals are and are still in the competition coach of the year. Ipretty much copy and pass what I just said. I've got Trent Robinson in there. I just think what do you to come? Fifthand look at the out he's had in his scared this year and the CAP space? They have pretty impressive and I don't think many other coaches could do it.You can always argue. Craig Bellamy gets Dalim coach the year. But for methis, I think it's trend, Robinson and there's a lot of people saying des hasla, but for me there's no doubt that their improvement has stemmed fromturbo, and I know it's not solely turbo, because a lot of the other playershaven't proved, but just the fact that they were so bad without turbo and sogood with him makes me not thing that dezzy should win. This award try theyear I've given it to Manley's last try of the game against the cowboys. I knowthis could be recency by us, but I honestly think that's the best triveever seen, turbos individual one and the same game could be a contender, butI just think Reuben Garrick running back eightieth minute last play nothingto play for and they score, one of the great length of the field tries a overseen. I think it deserves it tackle of the ER. I know it's a bit weird themgoing through these awards, but I'm doing it baby. I went back and watchthe tackles. Not Many you stand out contends like last year's Josh publyankle tap, but I'll give it to Zava coat. So you made this chase down.Tackle at Sun Care on danger. Guy Rand Gao had about a ten minute head startran. Fifty meters tackled him over the side line really really could tackleactually yeah. But, yes, I think I think theactual tacklet here for me. I it wasn't a tackle but have been hay, loom. Lukisomeone chased Reese Walsh down and they like grabbed his call and tried tolike sling him over the boundary of the sideline and they like flung him intothe trial and he scored. But for me that was the funniest because he likechase down ree wall. She was his pace, kid and everything, but anyway Peterfor lingos headline moment of the year. This is a tough one, because I tried tolook back at the history and see the kind of things they give it to. For me, the things that have probablymade the most headlines is the magic round bullets that happened, obviouslylike fourteen simbing and send off combined. I think I think that's themost of all time and the media just went absolutelycrazy that week, I don't think I've ever seen as much in a real stuff onsocial media in my life and then obviously the Litra thing they werehuge moments got the media talking the most I think from the year, but I don't know if they give them tonegative things. Because to me that...

...sounds a bit weird, so I'm going to say the Blues Win inthe game, one. I don't think anyone saw it coming. The brews blues were afavorite as usual, but the marines one fairly convincingly last year and yeah the boys just pumped him. I forgetwhat the score was. It was like forty six to four fifty to four fiftytwo to six, something like that. Something in that ball park, but yearis one of the most convincing origin winds. I've ever seen. None wasreally expecting it in north Queensland as well yeah. I just think that is theheadline over the year for me if they stay away from the somewhat negativestuff, I know the magic round, blitidae negative, but most of the headlineswere negative. All right dally an time of the year and then I'll say my playerwith the year at the end, because obviously my Dallam team youll give itaway full back. I've got obviously Tommy Tobo Wing, I've got Brian totterthing, he's been immense and, yes, he's obviously been inger, but still thinkhe deserves it. We other wing IVE got Daniel Tupo they're, both in the topten, I think, maybe top five or average post contact meet is a game and I thinkthat's one of the most important scarts, because that sort of just shows, like Iknow, meters before contact, is important as well like if you're youknow again, three meters before contact and for after you're, not as good as aplayer getting aight before. But I think everyone, like you know what I mean: it's not somuch skill getting to the contact if you're working through it getting sevenmeters a tackle after being hit. I think that's really impressive, so I'vegot those two there just in alm and Ron, but a my senners think the manly boys are pretty stiffhere. Remis Smith stiff, probably some others on for getting Joemany also stiff, but I just think just and alas, been the best center for me him and ADO card. Just freakishcombination he's a crazy defender as well so good at assisting at a car andyeah mattie burden. Surprise of the year, you'd have to say being DalianCenter of the year but yeah. I think it's been that good, a so fast he's sodamaging yeah. I think he's a gun and I think, even at Cena his done preferredposition. He can win this award. Five. Eight I've got cody Walker. I thinkfive mates a real weak point in the NIOWEE. Now I thought about Dram Lai,because his first ten weeks were awesome. But ultimately, I think codywalkers, run home has been too good. Anything clear at half back, not muchof a discussion there. Drams Jews will get a lot of votes because Melbin a lotand he's been really really really good. This year, but yeah, ultimately it'sgot to be cleary. Doesn't it prop? I've got pain, has any broncoswhen you probably get three votes and any broncos lost. He probably pushesfor one vote but yeah. Ultimately, I think it's the best problem, the gameby some bit Hooker I've got Brandon, Mith you'll pick up a lot of votes, asI mentioned, for Joram Hu same thing, but also, I believe, he's been the besthooker in the game, probably another spot, like five eight, where I don'tthink the competition's been that dominant this year and Hook, OObviously Harry Grant on the bench Dammin coodber Corsos been hit and miss like that probably sounds to be harshas been good, but not outstanding in the other, Probi got ferne Blake. Ican't remember what metric I used. It was either post contact or just made isin general, and he was in like the top five for that, which I did didn't know, and I didn't actually know he played like sixteen games. So I put him inthere like. Maybe I haven't watched him enough tobe putting him in there, but I just remember last year for manly he was sodamaging in some games and to think, if he's in, like the top five. For thatstart, I can only imagine what he was doing with the its like. He wasprobably tearing Games UP DAVID FOR FEED is my first second roller. How many tries he scored seventeeneighteen, like that's crazy e from a...

...back rower, tackle bus machine and I know he's sortof been used. weirdly. Some people will question whether he's worth the money, but ultimately his performance alone gets him in this team and then secondother second rolls is a Papale, maybe hasn't had the finished, the seasonthat why I know I just said he played awesome on the weekend, but he hasn'tbeen playing back row. He hasn't been playing back rowrecently, so you could argue to e serve to back roll. But for me, like firstfifteen weeks, he was awesome he's probably by the year by some margin.Lock, I've got Camar, just snubbed Isa you, but I've got Mary in there. Thinkhe's been immense for the Rabbit Os yeah, just a gun, glad they've stoptrying him on the edge because he's a middle forward, absolute beastsdefending and he's also so fast and so good on his feet, he's just yea, perfect, lock and then interchanges was a really tough one harry grant. I have tried to make it sothey played a minimum. Twelve games that position Nicois hadn't playedenough games. How grant and played enough games are the other candidatesto find a youtube, a man who use being pretty good, but I went with TomStyling. I just think when it comes on for the raiders I'vesort of hoped him up the last couple episodes if you've been listening, butI think when it comes up for the RADS, they become a better team and yeah he's just a really reallydamaging hook. Er loves running out of the dummy half position yet gun tackle yeah.I just love Tommy Starling and he's my interchange players the year and thatmoves as into the final week to preview not too much to talk about this weekbecause I'm recording it on a Monday. No team less out at such SAGAS roosters both games are in McKay.Interestingly, I don't hate it though get around it. SEAGULLS roosters Sanferrels could potentially be banned for one to two weeks. That would be a hugeout. I think you should be suspended. Pretty badly hit. Brian Kelly in thehead should have been Simmin but anyways. I think, Oh, I thinkyou'll be rubbed out. I wonder what they're going to do, whether they playRadley at Hook, er Ben Marsky, might be a bit of both. Might they might do likeBrandon Smith sort of thing like the inverse? Actually, they might startRattel ck marsh, get hooker and then, after, like twenty minutes puttingmarsh on the bench, because he hasn't been playing much footy rather in ahook or they might do the cheese thing I don't know, but that's definitelytheir main options. Look. I think the roosters will make ittight. I don't think the roses will get blown out, but yeah I've just got aback man there. I know last week was a real stinker for them, but I think theywill want to prove the critics wrong. Obviously, the three games on theweekend we're all pretty close. So a lot of the negative energies being puttowards Manley's way and deservedly does it was a poor performance, but Ithink Termonde back. I think Cherry Amans, bounces back and all the otherplayers who weren't happy with their performance. I think manly when it. Iknow it's a boring call, but o the lines. Ten and a half, I'm probablygoing to back man, leave the line as well. Actually, I think it might belike three tries in it. Don't think it will be a huge margin, but yet mainlyby like sixteen for me Panther's versus the EELS. This is tough because theeels are defending really well and the panthers are not attacking well.So for me, it's going to be a close game. I don't think. Oh, they scored twentyeight points, but it was against the night. I don't think powers attack isgood enough to break the Panther's defense. Personally, I m the rabbit ostruggle to do it and there a much better attacking team than the EELS. Sofor me the panters definitely win, I'm...

...sure I've just given them the kiss ofdeath saying definitely, but I'm probably going to take it the eels ofthe line, the lines eleven and a half and the pantes favor, but yeah, I thinkI'll back it in to be a close game. I think the eels go on. Defense is one ofthe best in the competition and yes, the panthers are likely going to comeout wanting revenge after last week's par performance, but yeah, I think,it'll be close as most finals games are. I don't think Pantes will score manypoints I foresee like a maybe twenty six. Now, that's too manypoints for a Paramatta. I think maybe Penrith win twenty two twelve, something like that and then I'll guess the Sea Gulls Fosto school on I'll backin manly to school, to win thirty to sixteen yeah.
