2021 AFL Brownlow Medal Preview & Predictions | Australian Rules Football

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

In a sad week with no footy, we turn our attention to the glitz and glam of the Brownlow medal. However, we're more interested in the footy side of it all and in this episode we run through our picks for the award, as well as how we think each club will go in the vote count in hopes of helping some punters' multis. We also review the prelims and chat about some potential position changes for AFL players.

Welcome back to the on the ball podcast, another episode of the best potty going round and we're here with another AFL episode. Sadly, no AFL games this week, so it's probably going to be a shorter episode. However, we do need to address the freelimbs that were on the weekend and then we're not going to touch on the grand final this week. We'll be doing that next week in a grand final special. But we're going to meet chat and mainly about the Brown low, which is this Sunday. Very excited for that. All the boys are getting their multi's in, which is one of what the brownlow sort of become relevant for for most forty fans. But still a good night anyway for the non punters. And then we're also going to go through a few other things. We're going to rowy mentioned it the other week and I really like the idea of chat about who could potentially change position or who we'd like to see change position, and we're also going to just have a little bit of a chat about maybe some super coach prospects for two thousand and twenty two. But yeah, probably going to be a shorter one, just a bit more laid back this week. I reckon my main folks, is the brandlow, however, but before we get into that good stuff, we've got a chat about the two absolute bummings. The were the prelimb finals. I warrant introduce you boys. I'll just, you know, hand it over to you for the review. So, Pilch, I'll let Rowad you most of talking for the port one, but so we'll hear your thoughts on this one. The first game, the Melbourne along game, mate. How'd you see this one? Yeah, you put it perfectly by our calling it a bumming, mate, was just, from the get go, just an elate team versus a team who was not up for it. And Yeah, Melbourne would just absolutely unreal. I don't know how else to put it. Like they look like they could contend with the Richmond Dynasty. For Mine, obviously, whenever you get to say that scenario play out. But Yeah, very scary footy, unbeatable footy. Yeah, like that. Their finals campaign paid with their performances over the top eight teams throughout the regular season. Like, if you just look at those things in isolation, it's been one of the more dominant seasons. But like, obviously they're fee average results against some of the lower sides which sort of made us maybe overlook them a little bit or undast may how would they are? But yeah, if you just look at those performances against the big teams that have been incredible this year. Do you think, while I don't get too much into the grand final preview Roy, but do you think anyone can beat them in the grand final? Obviously we know who's playing them, but do you think they're beatable or not? Really? Yeah, I think on any given day any team can beat anyone. We've seen that this year and previous years. So I'm they're priming at the right time. The day's and they've played probably their best two games of footy the last two weeks, the last three weeks. So yeah, I mean it's been absolutely clinic. From their big guns are Gorney, probably had the best quarter that the AFL seen this year and probably the best performed by a Ruckman in the APOL's probably ever seen ever. or He's definitely up there. So the good thing about this weekend will be, or next week, sorry, is that all the damage will be done in the engine room. You know, it's the two best midfields in the COMP and that's just what you want to say. You know, there's going to be all the heavy lifting done by the stars of the comp you know, like three of them are supposed to be finishing the top five the Brownlow, which is awesome. So yeah, it should be an awesome battle in there because usually if the midfields lopsided, that usually is going to give away the result of a grand final. But the fact that, you know, both midfields are pretty evenly mash is means it's going to be an awesome viewing. So yeah, I think if the dogs can find, I had to penetrate a deem's defense, then they'll definitely have a shot. But I think that's going to be the key. That's like the big key factor that the dogs have to worry about because I think midfields pretty even. Melbourne's forward line, I know they just,...

...you know, completely outscored the cuts the other night, but their defense is still stronger than their Ford Mine. So yeah, I think the biggest sort of mismatch is the day's defense against the dogs offense. So I think that'll really be what decides this game and whether the dogs have a plan of scoring as many as they can, whether it's you know, by a smaller brigade, by like Harry Waitman and all that will probably be the answer, to be honest, because I think May and leaves should be able to contain norton. But yeah, we'll wait and see. Should be awesome match. Is Maze Health any decern or is he all good? Okay, that's yeah, not good to hear for dollies fans. But yeah, it's weird thinking that there's a potential like attacking issue for a team that just got a hundred sixteen points in a freeland. But yeah, that's definitely the biggest mismatch. Pielch, will get the word from your first I know you probably don't want to dwell on it too much, but unfortunately your port power. Sorry, I don't mean to laugh, but it's uncomfortable topic. But to be to be fair, it is a laughable performance. So yeah, we like any anything you want to say before you throw the Rowy. Obviously gutted. But what do you make of the performance? Yeah, I'm over it now, but I think might from my point of view, this game was a lot more so port being shit than jeelong being shit for me. So I was I think Melbourne were the more dominant team out of the bulldogs and Melbourne. But Yeah, look, the bulldogs was still unreal and they just they pounced on us from the from the first bounce. Yeah, not really much to say. Another bumming. But yeah, yeah, that definitely was the our note of the weekend that there was two absolute whackings. But anyway, hopefully that means law of averages there's going to be a good granny next weekend. But yeah, Rowley, any anything else you want to add for that Port Adelaide doggy's encounter, not much. I was expecting port to win, like I went into usually, I never, ever, ever put teams in my multi's because it's always the leg that screws up and I don't. I want to just follow the players and let the result take care of itself. But this was the one time I was temper too, because I thought, honestly thought, that they were home and hose. But you know, when I saw to zero, I still thought, like at least it will be cloase, because sure that the power come back, but not the powers out it Adelaide. So yeah, unfortunately, yeah, it's just, you know, the power just wanted to play bruise free footy. I think they just, you know, one their qualifying file on for you look like will be favorites, like our crowd, are going to over the line. You know, the dogs are missing a few key players. Like you know, we're not going to have rhyan Gardner out play Dixon and all that. So should be through to the grand final. But yeah, unfortunately not. So yeah, I think. Honestly, I think early in the yeah, we all wanted a dog's D's Pre grand file and that's why we were calling for ages, given they had that awesome starts of the year. And that's what we've got. So, I mean from Ma I can't complain, but yeah, would have been nice to say the parent a grand farms because it's obviously been a while. But yeah, it's either way. It's a Melbourne B Melbourne match up. So yeah, should be good. I was trying to add one thing. There's heaps of so called experts on twitter blaming the loss on the fact we put Willem drew on the bench for the first two minutes, and it's got to be one of the worst takes I've ever heard. Would not have changed the outcome of the match. As Rally said, we came out played, Bruce Freefootie just complacent, didn't show up. Still at a loss by eighty yeah, that's actually haven't seen that take to be honest, but that's that's real. It was like Nathan Brown or some shit was going was our going on about it was he did he make that claim, like during the game when it happened, or after it? They were talking about it...

...during it and then I think he made after it as well. It was views libre drew, Tag Lib Yeah, two weeks ago and destroyed him. But yeah, yeah, like if it was during and like someone just said, like Oh, that was dumb to bench drew, like you get that, but if they're blaming the fool, what is it like? Eighty point loss on that doesn't make much sense to me. Yeah, that was pretty shattered. I didn't didn't watch much of it, to be honest, because by the time I was about to flick over it was all over us. But yeah, I actually thought this could have imports year. I think last year I didn't really give them any chance, even though they made the prelim. But this year I just thought with the dogs in Melbourne to fairly like unknown finals quantities, I thought this could have been the year where the power to sneak in and grab a flag, but unfortunately it's not to be and they roll onto next year. Looks like. Are they going to get Jordan Dawson? Is that all but confirmed or no? I don't know what's happening with that. It's why exact teams. He's definitely leaving, but yeah, it's one of the two. I don't I'll be honest, like I didn't get the whole requesting to state thing. Like I don't get how you can just be like, yeah, I want to go to one of these two teams and like those two teams, just like I know Jorn Dalson's a good player, so both teams probably want to add him. But it's sort of just random how you can just have such control over your like destiny. Just like no, I don't care, I'm going to one of these two teams whether you like it or not, but probably not that way in real life. It's sort of probably just a request as it sounds, but that would have been they would be a nice addition if it does. I actually mentioned that in my positional changes later. But we are onto the brownlow section. I'll be honest. This is actually going to be a sort of a weird section to talk through because what we've done with sort of collated four or five in and then us three as well, our thoughts on who's going to be in the top three in the brownlow and then who's going to win each club's voting in terms of the sports pet markets for your multi so we're sort of just going to discuss the options for each club, the odds and who these boys are backing. So yeah, we'll see how we go. But on the spready Brownlow winners, it's actually pretty mixed, which you'd have to say is not that common. I feel like the last couple of being expected. But, Pilch, you've gone with the bond row. He's gone with all of our I've come with parish, so I've actually all in different camps. Pilch, why do you think it's going to be the bond? Partly I think he deserves it. I think he's stretch through the majority of the year was the best stretch and I'd think he would have accumulated that many three vote games during that stretch to win it. And the other reason is I don't think Ali wines will get as many votes as people are saying you will. So logic says the bond, we'll win it there. Yeah, I'm like a little bit confused about this whole wine seeing. Like I know people can make up their own minds, but I would have expected the sports bets markets to basically just a mirror the brownlow predictor on the AFL website, because I'd have thought that's where people would have got most their opinions from. So see, the wines is like so low on they're like, I don't even think he's winning the port votes. And then the fact that he's like one of the favorites on sports but shocks me. And Yeah, interestingly, none of us three back in me in. I think we've all on a pilch doesn't even have a me his top three. So, yeah, I don't either. So that shows what we think of the wines. Cool, but we could be proven wrong. Rolly, you've gone with clover over the rest. Why do you think Clari is going to get up, to be honest? So I hadn't put too much thought into it. I was planning on doing my whole Brown low spreadsheet thing tomorrow for Sports Bet, but I've been bit...

...tied up with Uni. So haven't done it yet. So I was going to do it tomorrow, but now I don't know. I think I would would have it was going to be bond, but I think he's end of the season sort of died off a little bit and he might get chased down. I expect them to be leading going until about sort of around seventeen eighteen, but then I think he dies off a bit. So I reckon all of our maybe just a bit more consistent. He doesn't maybe it doesn't have as many blokes taking votes off him. That's probably a bit controversial. But you know, he's really only got per trucker maybe gone, but you know, the bonds got. You know, mccrae, he's got liver as. Sorry, yeah, I don't know. I just I think it's gonna be really close. I own it could be a tie but yeah, I will wait and see. Yeah, it wasn't. I didn't put too much sword into it. I just maybe all of it has been more consistent. Yeah, all of our probably the most consistent of the bunch, should have to say it once. Pretty consistent, but not as consistent at that level. The reason I was parish obviously those who have watched the show know that I like have a little voting algorithm thing and I've done it for the Brown low so I've changed it from five votes to three and all that stuff. And Yeah, I just had Paris on top. He interestingly wasn't on top in the five votes, but he pulled in eleven matches for me and Essen only on d eleven times. So I don't know if that matched up exactly, but pretty close. And he actually had nine three vote performances. So you probably won't get nine three voters on the night because that's pretty hectic. But yeah, that's why I had him above the bottom. Others is just I had him getting a lot more best ons. He obviously want a lot of those man of the match metals and stuff and some of the big games, but maybe nine. It's a bit of a stretch, but yeah, I've got him doing that. So that's why I've got him. And then, yeah, we don't really need to chat about second and third. I feel like it's just the other contenders. So looking at Adelaide, then in the Malties, obviously this market is without rory. Led Roy has gone with Ben Ky's I've also gone with Ben Keys. So, Rowey, why are you backing in Ben Keys? I think he's a dollar ninety five at the moment. I just love been Kay's I don't know, he's like one of those blokes, you know, I don't know as one of those blokes on his frof. So I don't know, I just like him and obviously hate text so huge reason to go keys over and but yeah, texts will probably only pulled, you know, three in the first three and they're not anymore. So you know, keys has got, you know, probably about twenty, twenty three games to work with. So yeah, I just think he's protected to have a few good ones, got a few outstanding games. We've got a hundred, fifty, sixty supercutch points. So you expect him to get someone there and just, you know, thrown hopefully someone or two voters. Yeah, I just expect him to own school text yeah, I'd keys as well. Obviously, like statistically prefer inside midfielders. But the only worry for keys is that, like he's not the necessarily the biggest name, because who does the votes? Is that the UMPIRES? Yeah, yeah, I was confused because different sports it's diferent people, but yeah, he's probably like a less of a big name than some of the other guys who, you know, if there's a game where no one really stood out there might just go I will give it to dusty or I will give it a bond, where keys is probably not benefitting from stuff like that, where those votes are probably got all lead or even like Sloan when he plays well. So that is why the issue. But yeah, I'm with you there, Roy. I think he'll just pick up enough one and two voters peeled. You've gone with the big text. I assume you're from the standpoint there, like his early lead would just be too big to chase down. Yeah, I just don't think keys will get enough votes. It'll be close, but just the fact Adelaide didn't win many games. Lad or take most of the threes when they do get up. So just don't think key's will quite make the double digit figure. Yeah, fair enough. Right onto Brisbane. Pilch and you both...

...had lines, not the Brisbane Lyons, jared lions. He's the favorite pretty clearly. PILCH. DRECK in. This one's a given. Or do you reckon? It's actually closer than people think. I go we're close with Zorko, but I think lions deserves it, but he's underrated, less of a big name, so not convinced to actually win it. But I if I was given even odds, I would take him. Yeah, that's fair. I think he's paying a dollar forty, so he's pretty short. But yes, orka's eight dollars fifty. He's my pick. I do think what I sort of said ast him miss. I think you miss missed one one, I think around the by area. Yeah, because I think he missed the suspension backing onto the by or something like that, and that's in the same about you. But yeah, I reckon a dolls fifty is legit good because when meal went down, human mccluggage short just stepped up and then for the rest of the seasons or goes really, really good. So yeah, I'm very shocked at the a dolls fifty value, especially because feel like he's sort of a more wellknown player and maybe more impactful than jarred lions. But yeah, if they're I don't know if what the UMPIRES use, like if they look at disposals and goals or something, because, yeah, if they look at disposed it was jarred lions and probably just pocket one or two every single week and all get him the job done. Mccluggage also mentioned by someone. I think maybe Hoodie. I think mccluggage will start well and I think you might fall way. I don't think he had the greatest end to the season. where I think lines and ZORCO will be able to pick up votes throughout the whole thing. Then collingwood one of the more interesting ones. I reckon pilcher's gone with cris but the brownlow predictor has atoms. Let skip. Yeah, well, we'll come back to the blues. But the Brown land predictor has Adams, as do I, and then the rest of the boys that we have their results. Have Gonne to go ee. So, Roy, why do you think to go e will be getting this one? Honestly, I don't know. I just sort of went on some predictors and just sort of factored in what I reckon will happen, but I think to go he's and essays only moved to the midfield. He dominated a few games. You know, you got like thirty just you know, he added on his own string and think ended I've kicking a few as well when he went forward and those topic. Games only stand out UMPIRES. So I guess that might be the reason why. You know, if it was if maybe collingwood had one a few more games, or might say crisp, just because he was obviously a lot more consistent throughout the whole year. But just given they didn't win his many they're not going to be getting as many votes. Hence it's more likely that someone that you know, someone like to go, we will overtake a more consistent play like crisp. So I guess that was my reasoning. But yeah, yeah, definitely reckon some one like to go is like a lot more noticeable, like sort of like stringer, like dusty. Even if they have only twenty touches, where Adams might have thirty five. Like to go is still probably a signific getting votes over Adams pilch. You went with crispy. Boy. He's paying eight bucks, which I do think is value. Do you reckon he's a genuine chance of this one, while you've obviously picked him? So you do, but why do you reckon that? Yeah, once again, that sounds like value. Yeah, I just think he had the most consistent year out of all their midfielders. Adams missed a few games and didn't even have his best year. So I think grundy might be a sniff as well. I think it'll be close between them for to be honest. So, yeah, I just think crisp. Yeah, I feel like these are the teams that always trip people up, like they don't have many wins, there's not really a standout player. Like yeah, it's going to be tough because the yeah, it's probably not going to be many votes the eventual winner. And Yeah, this is sort of like the thing.

It was Jay grow mirror of two thousand and nineteen or something. The whole thor market their run got wrong. So, yeah, this will be a tricky one. I reckon to go. He's playing at dolls sixty, so not value, but if you obviously think he's going to get the job done, he's a fair choice. But yeah, I think Adams is interesting. That is the Brown the predictors got him and he's only three hundred and twenty. I found that to be quite interesting. And then, yeah, we'll go back to Carlton. Most of you boys had Harry McKay, pillches back crips in and I actually had weed ring, which is a little bit interesting. Rarely a key back and picks up many Brown low votes. He's playing fifteen bucks as well, so very good value, but just a matter of whether he get the votes done. But Roley DRECKON macai serious value. Two dolls forty. That I reckon. So Yeah, I mean obviously Walsh will poll tongues, but I reckon. You know, colman metal. He had a few bad games were kicked bag. So I guess it's hard for anyone else to take votes of him because, you know, crips had a pretty poor year and you know, I just don't think we ring's going to get many votes, to be honest. And I I can't see Ed Turner either. I think he was one of the other ones. I was up there. So yeah, yeah, I just think allisill. Turned to Harry McKay. You know, it's the all forward. Playing a good game is easies position on the ground to notice. So yeah, that's just why I went him. Yeah, I don't I don't agree with it in terms of like he might get two votes and I don't think it was the second best player in the park. But yeah, I definitely think you're right there because you know it's a tyrant game the umpires thinking about it and like if the blokes kicked for goals or something and it's been a pretty average game, which most of the column ones were. Yeah, I can't see why they wouldn't just give him votes sort of just out of necessity when you keep that many goals. So yeah, that one looks like value at two hundred and forty, even though pilch and I don't agree. You could also maybe put a buck on crips as well, just in case the guy doesn't get up, because you can do that obviously, because they're both above two bucks. Then on to Essendon. This is a weird one. We all went parish paying it all fifty, but then pilch decided to change it up. The only one who didn't back in parish. Did notice. You said this a few weeks ago. You went with merit, do you so? Obviously you're just not high on parish at all. Not really a lot. Kind of wanted to be a bit not just follow the pack with these picks, but merit did have a more consistent season, so I don't know. Paris will definitely have a few three voters, but I can see it being pretty close. Yeah, and yeah, I can see that actually and Essen them we're in a lot of close games. So usually if someone's like just consistently decent, their game doesn't their team doesn't win many games, it doesn't get them much. But Essen actually we're in a lot of them. So yeah, he could pick up a lot of ones and twos. For me, I just think parish has three voters will get him over the line. But obviously that's a matter of opinion merit. Paying two thirty five. So probably not the value you want. But obviously, as I mentioned before, if that's who genuinely believes going to get the job done, you're back im in. Then next, this is the interesting one. Monday's paying a dollar eight and not all of us weren't Monday, which maybe puts a bit of doubt in people's heads. Because for that for that value you're wanting to guarantee. Malls went with Bra Shure. I went with Short Darcy, but Rohad you think Monday's a certainty? I don't think certain. If I still working. He's a very good chance. I mean I think we talked about I know how long ago, but he just had a really good stretching games, only more so to the style of year where he just was unstoppable. So yeah, I you know it's a midfielders award, as we will say. I know I just contradict we just said about Harry McKay, but you know, it is a midfields award the end of the day, and in those for our games, I can't that was like before the Seann Darcy surge. So I can't see...

...many people taking votes off him. So yeah, I'd like. I'll be back in Monday, but probably won't put him into Maltie's given I don't want to put in in give it is no certainty, giving his like short of a dollar ten. So yeah, yeah, it's going to be an interesting one because, as you mentioned, it's going to come out the gates hot. Could even lead the Brown law actually at about like round eight or nine, and then the boys are just going to see. The boys are going to come flying bray sure, and Darcy darting stained twenty one bucks. So that'd be a Piscer if that got up bray shore paying six dolls. So probably not even that bad value. Yeah, I'd probably steer clear of Freyo because, although a lot of people think it's a certainty, I just don't think of dollar rate. It's worth it really, like, is that really adding that much value for that risk? And then next we had a short thing, except for me, which is doesn't really change us. Is Essentially still short thing because mine doesn't really matter. I got three paying a dollar or eight. I had Stewart paint about twenty six bucks, but yeah, I don't think we need to talk about that one really. You boys all back and got three consistent player pretty much picks up thirty thirty five every week. So I definitely reckon heal be accumulating there. I Love Tommy Stewart and I reckon he's a very like noticeable player, but I feel like the UMPIRES when they're watching like things like kickouts and stuff, they don't give a shit about that, where that's something that like my formula takes into account and super coach does as well. So yeah, I feel like it's not a backman's award this one. Then Gold Coast, another interesting market. I would say Anderson's pretty bad value at a dollar forty. Considering that, I think three of US didn't go with him. However, you boys, did peel chatty feel about the Gold Coast market? Absolutely no. IDEA. Yeah, like I was trying to think outside the box and just no one sprung to mind. So I just think I just went Anderson just because the other options we're just even worse than Anderson is, who's pretty bad. And, to be honest, though, that could be the umpire's train of thought. So you could be onto a winner there. But yeah, the other people who got mentioned, Ellis got picked twice. WHO's paying for Bucks? I'll be honest, I haven't watched much of the Gold Coast. I didn't, though. I I was bitch surprised to see that. But if his four bucks, people must be liking it. I actually have the COACIS, who's at about sixteen bucks. I don't even think that one's outrage it. So I think it's value. I don't know if will happen. Once again, this is probably a pretty low scoring market. So yeah, this is another tough one, probably one to steer clear of in the multies. However, next we've got the first shore thing, Josh Kelly paying it all twenty five everyone. There's about six or seven of us. Put it in. All of us back to men, as well as the Brown, the predictor. I'll probably look at look at this on Sunday night and be thinking why did I say this? But I think we could take this one to the bank. I think if seven of US agree, I'm willing to say it's going to happen. A dollar twenty five is like something value but for a certainty, like you're making money. So yeah, it's an interesting one that we all agreed on that one, because you know, like Jacob Hopper made the Australian team and stuff like that, so maybe it's actually more competitive than we're thinking. Rowed, you reckon that's true? Or Directing? This is a given, probably given. Yeah, I don't really see ane. I was taking them off him like Tranto will poll I think Triano was second, but in line, but con seeing catching Kelly. Yeah, I think I had Kelly out by a fair distance that Toronto, and then just below them I had green and hopper. But yeah, for me it's Kelly and obviously the umpires will include the fact that he's a sexy motherfucker in their voting. On to Hawthorne. As I mentioned before, this is always one of the toughest. I...

...actually one of my winners are the three way tie. One of them doesn't even isn't even in the market. So that just shows how up in the air this one is. I think for me the winners only had three votes, so this is really a shit fight, and one of them was Johnny Segler, because I had him Getten, a three vote performance in like round eighteen or something. The favorite is Jago own mirror. Pilcher's got a Mir rowy. You've actually gone wing guard at two dollars twenty five. What was your thinking behind that one? I think you just came home really strong the end of the year. I'll he could put into the midfield a bit more. He's one of those flashy players at the arms notice and Hawks won a few games the end of the year, so I think he was one of the strong performers in those games. So I think I'm mirror performs well in a lot of games when Hawk student. So yeah, so I've Gone God, yeah, apologies, I just realize I've not been mentioning who the markets don't include. But yeah, if you're if you're interested in this, you probably know who it doesn't include. Anyway. Yeah, I also had Blake Hardwig Tipe for mine, but he's a hundred and one bucks for you're argy value. But yeah, he's a Backban who's pretty mythical. I don't think an umpire would name him if they had the opportunity. So yeah, but there are were quite a few wind guards in there and interestingly, the Brown land predictor has omere and wing Gout tied. So yes, and then moving on to Melbourne, another one that we thinks the sure thing and it's actually better value than Kelly. We all have all of our. He's paying a doll thirty, which I'm actually surprised at considering he's in the brownlow conversation. I don't think I've really heard petrarca mentioned, apart from maybe a top five chance, so I'm a bit surprised. He's adult. Thirty Pilch, we taken that one to the bank. No, you put you from down their minds, mate. No, I went. I said Oliver, but I if you look at my top three, I'm pretty sure I put all of a second petruck a third age. So I'm predicting a tight one between them two. I will say, though, however, every other person and the predictor had all of our in the top three and Petrarca made no one else's, so that does refill my confidence a little bit. But yeah, it is dangerous just because for truck is so good and, as we keep mentioning, he's touches a very noticeable, very impactful but you know, the arms in and around there, the ball. They're surely seeing that, the rang of hair flying around getting nut and surely he gets like ten votes for his gaming. Is Adelaide. So yes, fair play to call on to north. Another interesting one, I'd have to say. You boys have both backed in cunners, so I was the predictor and he's a dollar fifty. I've got a tie between cunners and Zeebel, Zeebel being a backman, pretty relevant. He's thank you to one bucks. Drive Simpkin, however, two dollars forty, which is an interesting one. I'm back in Connors here, because why not? He's a hard that. But yeah, at the end of the day this is probably going to be another low voter because it is North Melbourne. Then we've got poured Adelaide without ones or both, which I think is a bit of a dog acts, just like I don't like taking out two blokes. Come on. But anyway, now this one was an interesting one. Amon's paying a dollar eighteen. The people who didn't back that in was moles and me, which seems to be a bit of a trend. So maybe just take the other's opinions. I had a literarlier time with Aimon. Literally is paying five bucks. I think that's not bad value, to be honest. Something had a lot of good games and he's noticeable. So yeah, field chievement. Actually, no, I won't ask. I know I ask you because you are poured out lay. Fam you think calaim on was the clear winner here? Yeah, I don't really think he'll pull that well, but I think but behind boken wins. It's always a different bloke...

...who steps up. For us, like we got quite an even spread, so I think we'll have heaps of blokes who just pick up one, two or three votes for the season. So I can't see anyone contending with aim on. Yeah, mine was very close. I think I had like six or seven blokes within a couple votes of each other. I do think all is value at five bucks. And then he had a really well. Everyone thinks he had a really good season. Miles is gone. Dixon here's big value at twenty one bucks. But yeah, I don't think Dixon kicked enough goals to, you know, get those votes that like a Harry mcaul will get when they don't know who to give votes to. Five ago. We're up to Richmond. Everyone's backed in dusty Martin here, which is pretty incredible considering miss like the last six or seven games. He's paying it all at ten. I've Gone Jack Graham, obviously because I'm a cooker. He's pinned about fifteen bucks. Roley, are you pretty confident on the dusty? Yeah, I don't again ever take dusty. I don't had too many standouts this year, Richmond. Sorry. Yeah, it's pretty sure thing going. Yeah, and like as we came mentioning impactful player, one of the most noticeable players in the competition, and sometimes reputation proceeds people, especially in voting. So yeah, if it's sort of like a tie between three people, shy bolt and lean baker and dusty, you know they're given dusty the three. So yeah, I reckon that one. will be a pretty low voter, but yeah, I can see why runs back and in dusty St Kilda without steal. Obviously this one's like a dead tie between the boys. Rowy and I went with Dunston, pilchers gone with Crouch and the Brown l predictors got dunston. Dunston's the favorite at a dollar eighty. Crouch is that. They are runner up at two bucks eighty. Rowy is the St Kilda Fan. What are your thoughts here? I well had Dunston and then I had Jack Jones. Actually I cans. Zack Jones is maybe a sneaky chance. It's some value he had from one or two three game voters, three vote games, sorry, and maybe a couple where he got a couple. So yeah, I don't know. I reckon he's a better chance and crouched over take dunston Bible say. It's funny. I think Dunston doesn't have a contract now, but yeah, that would be so weird if he actually does win this market there will be thinking he had a gun season or whatever. But and he's a free agent. But surely would give him a sniff of getting another contract if he does do well on the Brown Ley night. But yeah, I think I was actually with you Roy. Think I had Zach Jones ahead of Brad Crouch and I think I might have had Google Howard over ahead of both of them. But, as I keep saying, backman don't get votes. Three to go Sydney. This is an interesting is it really? I don't know. I think everyone's gone with Parker except for me. So once again, ignore my thing. Are Parks about it all? Fifty. I've gone with mills. Two Bucks Fifty. I think meals is a sniff. I feel like there's a lot of games where they both get pretty similar start lines and it's sort of just who you like more. But yeah, Piogg, are you backing in Luky boy? Yeah, I think mills cost himself the MIS award by missing the last two to three games, because I actually think you had a better year than Parker. But yeah, also, park is the bigger name, so when in doubt, go with the bigger name. But wasn't he out? Because if he was out of COVID exposure side? Yeah, yes, stiff to be yes, sticking. There wasn't a bumbing mate. That is well, you said you let you could be cost himself the award, but Nah, bare enough. Yeah, I didn't actually factor that in, but that could hurt meals. The brownlon predictor has it as a tie actually, which is interesting. So that could be a bit of a squeaky bum time that one. I don't know how park went on the last couple, but yeah, it comes down to those ones where mills...

...misses out and there's like a one or two vote lead. That could be pretty saucy. West Coast this is a pretty open one. They don't really have a clear stand out apart from nick that, but rough and don't get votes. So the main contenders are she'd, Kelly and gaff she's paying two dollars thirty. Kelly's paying two dolls eighty five. Gaffs paying three hundred and seventy five. Gas is actually the favorite on the aflcom Brown. They predictor row. He's gone with Kelly and Pilcher gone with she'd. I obviously gone with my boys shout and Herne, but he was not in the market. So not sure how that affects your multis if you could dry and stick him in. But Roy, what did you think when you were making the West Coast Cool? Why, I visited like about two or three different sizes. They all had different people winning it. So I thought OK, I use a chance to find a bit of value, but I just reckon. You know, Tim Kelly's dominant games are really noticeable. So that's really very reasonably win it. So, yeah, what's The thinking? Because I've never done these multis before, but like when there's one that's wide open, are they the ones you like more or they the ones you sort of looked to steer clear of? No, I is because there's always value on it. I guess, you boys, you just got to sort of map out of like three or four predictors and find out, you know, I guess, like the the average and like, you know, the worst case in R and best cause and I are for every player and then just find out the best chance he's getting one. So yeah, I don't know, it's like you don't steer clear from them. You've probably still clear all the other ones just because they aren't offer tim value. And I know it's all happened, but anything can happen on Brown and night. So it's just like a real game before you know you don't really want to put in like a dollar five like int your multis. Yeah, yeah, and then finally onto the doggies without Bonto. Mccrae, this sound's interesting. Like I reckon this is a bit of arbitrage betting for you as they say, liver and Bas Lanka. When I took down the odds, both above two bucks, Libert two hundred and twenty, Baz hundred fifty. We were pretty much split down the middle. Most of us. PILCH is gone libber. I've Gone Libber, row he's Gone Smith. The Brown let predictors Gone Smith. However, the third favorite is true law on about ten bucks. So if you're confident that someone's not coming from range and still in this crown, you could just put a buck on both, or however much you want and you'd be profiting. But yeah, so it's just the business. The finance man talking the field we I was actually surprised you went liver. To be honest. I thought you weren't a fan of lives work. But do I can liver wins. He's easily here. Yeah, I actually do. I think Bompton mccrae obviously still all the votes, but all right, I don't think Bas Lanka had that good a year up until maybe the last two games and then finals where he went to another level. But obviously they don't count. So I can't really see Smith winning it. Yeah, I think if it's done on who's the best player each week. He liver wins easily. My only concerns despite his tats and stuff, I don't think his works that noticeable, like the inside handbules, whereas Bazz lank a bit more of an outside player during the regular season anyway, is, you know, obviously bas lank with the mullet a lot more noticeable. So that's my only concern with this one. But yeah, if it's just I'm scared of the Mollet. But yeah, I just think livers first ten weeks, like I reckon, he will genuinely contest with the Bonto mccrae for their votes in that period. He does get tagged pretty much from then on, so you might go vote was from about the buy rounds to the rest of the season. But yeah, that'll be an interesting one because I imagine that Libert will go out to a pretty big lead and then,...

...you know, the other guys will start chasing him down. That could be an interesting one, though, because it could be pretty low votes, considering it's without Quanto mccrae, because without those guys they're taken most of the big voters. But yeah, I think that's enough for the Brown low. I think we did all right there. Hopefully you've got your multis in order. Now onto some positional changes. This is really just some these next two segments are just going to be us just chatting. Boris as usual. Rowy join start us off. Made let us know what she's thinking, whether you think these are going to happen, whether you just want to see these happen. Sure I'ms are off be fly through these boys, because I've got something to be five names down here I've got Gary Rowan to the back line that he can't get a touch in the forward line or basically anywhere on the ground. So just you know, if someone's fucked then put them on the halfback line. They can revive their career. Stephen Canelio to the forward line. Bit of help for Toby Green, is a sort of medium sized forward. Thought they'd be cool because they got a lot of depth in their midfield. Tayleb march bank coming back from the grave for the blues. They've got a backline sort of set now and I've got no support for Harry McKay apart from Charlie Cano, but why have two stools when you can have three? So chuck him up forward. Then your boy, peelch Martin Frederick you got a lot of half back flankers, which was what I noticed, especially with Dawson. They be coming in. So Chuck Him in the forward line. He's below one hundred and eighty centimeters, perfect tight for a small forward and when fantaged es string every second week he can feel that void. He's quick. I saw he has a lot of press tracks as well in the Games he played. So perfect for a small forward. And lastly, big CJ, Horse Cock give can play for the be killed, burst out. He's he's got those dashing a billies that not many of those Hawthorne mids have. Mitchell and I mirror both handballers. So Chuck CJ and there bit of absolutely no idea how those blokes are doing those positions. I just thought of be quite fun to list some things off. But yeah, they would love to see all those pilch. Who are you looking at here? Firstly, imp I know he's I know he used to be forward, but back to the Ford Line next year. You're given Hawthorne's depth in defense. And then similar thing. He's played a bit there, but Hunter Clark. Hopefully see him in the guts next year's. And then I've just got port ones, Todd Marshall, either d list or swinging back. He's a smart he's a smart player. The key Ford role clearly isn't working out for him, but here's a smart player with a great kick and a good, decent marks I think he can fill as a decent like sort of swing man interceptor down back. And then I've got dare as Mush Houston running through the midfield. Houston has done it before, but could see them both playing good roles there. Desmas one of the toughest players at our club, so I think he'd be a good ball winner. Yeah, absolutely right. To round off the POD, I'll give mine three ones that have no actual logic that I just want to see hen in the guts. We obviously I'll be in calling for it. Seem going to happen, but we obviously have all wanted to see it is. He's giving us a few glimpses, but they are confident that he's just a forward pocket who gets like ten touches a game whatever. I know he's good at that, but we want to see him rip and tear. We have thirty in the guts. Want to see him a govern go forward, probably one of the best readers of bull flight in the game, best hands going round. Really really fit right now, but either is jjk, so he can replace that man's position. And took Miller lockdown defender. Probably the fit is black in the cold. It's got pace, absolute work course. Tell me he couldn't shut down the toby green type put him in the pocket. He's also got like the socks pulled up sort of vibe. GIVES OFF DEFENDER VIBES. Maybe where's black boots? Could be dreaming of that. But yeah, get to can the back line. Then things that actually make logical sense...

...sort of gone similar lines of you boys for the port thing, as enough halfback flankers there. So I reckon dbj. Had A bit of a down year this year after the making Australian the year before. He could go forward. He's pretty fast and all that stuff. And then Jordan Dawson, if that he goes to port. I was looking at whose spot they could take, like Steve Mott, lobs like, with the Gretish respect, not reas. Not really needed in the best twenty two. You've already got Burton, Bonne, HOUSTON leane to play that spot in the back line. So reckon, Jordan Drson could go forward as well. We've seen him kick goals of the Schwanne's Trent coach and halfback. He's obviously struggling to string two games together and when he plays he's pretty decent still. But reckon, let him have a bit of a vacation at the halfback line, just playing distributor bit like Dyson Heppel's done for the bombers. You've got, you know, shy Bolton, Lean Baker, potentially Adam Cherer, who can all go play guts bit more bash whole. He's gone as well, so there's a bit of a vacancy there. So let the coach go back there and just be a bit of a quarterback. And then finally, Isaac rankin getting in rotating through the midfield. He was the pick three like two or three years ago. This season he average twelve touches and one goal, so he's obviously like not having any impact on the game. He had subtouches about seven times, kicked one goal in his last six games and then got dropped. You also only average three tackles. So being a pressure small forward, it kicks goals like statistically he's not really doing it well, so it's obviously got so much skill. So I reckon along with you know, you're very like their goal, their midfield at the moments. All a bit one temper, I'd say, with the likes of swallow fear any RAW. So I reckon a bit a x factor through there could be a bit of a game changer. Get the rank and going in there, you can charge out of the Center Square and, you know, torpedo them through seventy our but that'll do us boys. I reckon we maybe save the Super Coach Chat for a feuture episode, because we've got some two more weeks of dribbling to do about AFL. So I reckon we just push them over. will let row go do something? I know we delayed the start a bit, but yeah, enjoy your all Friday and up boys, and the rest of your weekend. I certainly will be enjoying mine, and as much as I can anyway. And Yeah, looking forward to the grand final episod next week. See Boys,.
