Hello and welcome back to the onboardpodcast, episode a hundred and fourteen of the show, and today we areonce again joined by Rowley. How are you, May, good mate. How are you? Yeah, actually pretty well. We're up nice and earlytoday, which is good. Off Getting the day off to a good start. Talking about the footy. So, as I just polluded to, wewill be doing a AFL round one review. Will talk a little bit about roundtwo at the back end of that episode, but it's more around onereview. We're going to do this weekly, probably get a few different guests on, try and do them in person as well so we can have somenice charts, but today it's just been rowy online and we're just going totalk some dribble. And did you? Did you watch much footy on theweekend? I washed as much as I could, tied up with a fewgrand files and cricket, but managed to watch as much as I could. You know, offer rain quickly check on Ko in the rooms and get upas much of North Billn port a later as I could. But now Iwatched a fair bit, definitely enough to get my excitement of his back.Yeah, if you're if you have to, just quickly. If you have topick a game in the week which which one you going with? Oh, I loved the end or I love the third quarter, on winds ofFourth Onne Essendon. I would have also had to have said Adelaide Gelong ifI watched it, but I saw the highlights and that was enough for meto sell me, so I probably have to say those two. Yeah, yeah, the Adelaide game looked good. So we're just going to quickly discussthe winners and loses coming out of the weekend and May as well go straightinto that. My first winner probably on your list as well. I've gotthe Adelaid crows and in particular Tailor Walker and obviously the coach, Maddie Knicks, pretty there actually solid form. The one like four of their last five, I think, now, including the back end of last year. Theybeat the Geelong Kats at the Adelaide Oval and they won by twelve but formost of the game they had a big elite than that. Was a littlebit of a late come back by Geelong. Think they were up by like sixgoals or something and a half time, which was pretty crazy. But yeah, the text just went off. He's nut. For some reason Ihe had the most contested possessions on the ground of any player in this islike playing center forward or whatever. You keep five, which is pretty handy, twelve score involvements and deservedly picked up the ten coaches votes. So prettyperfect start to the year for the text. Why don't you think of this gameof well, this game. Oh yeah, it was a real leadersperformance, some text, I think. Treat me if I'm wrong. Hewas danger. The knocked out J Kelly and after that hole sort of fiveminute break, or so text had. The freedom was down field and ledthe way by banging it from so he also kicked one man on the sideand as well. It was a real captain's performance. Also clump one mark. Some really led the way, from what I could tell the highlights. From the highlights, obviously there's a massive his matching skills between the crows andthe cats. But the crows knew that I had to find something and besuperior at something and they just come out so ferociously their intensity, with theirtackles and everything. You know, there's a fuck a couple of highlights onthe on the web of the AFA website. The shows the crows absolutely ambushing,Delong forcing the back in the play and it just looked awesome to watch, especially in front of the crowd of the Adelaide over, which I thinkI kind of allude to. The proud the two thousand and twenty season reviewedit. If the crows can sort of get that crowd behind them, I'dlaid Adelaid over. I can really use that as a weapon. So Ithink they did that perfectly and the weekended knocked off argue with the best preparedteam in the calm. Yeah, they look like they're almost copying a littlebit of like the Richmond Poured Adelaide method of success. Not Too many bigname players, a lot of rookies, but just going hell for leather onthe pressure and stuff like that, which seems to be the method that ismost just most suitable to the way the...

...games going at the moment. Someother guys probably worth shouting out Jordan Butts. He played on the Tomahawk and hekept into two goals, which is pretty incredible for a yeah, secondyear player. I think he's only played three games or something. He doesface buddy this weekend so that will be another stern test. He's not hadan easy start to two thousand and twenty one, but if he keeps Tomuelworkto two goals, I can't see why you can't keep buddy too limited touchesas well. I thought Banki's is also really good. Doing my votes again, my controversial votes for the brand. They once again he actually could upthe five votes ahead of the text. I can see ahead of him.Yeah, I think you had the most clearances on the ground and I don'tknow, Banki's is one of those players every tip like. I'll be honest, I haven't watched Adelaide that much in the last twelve months, but everytime I do watch them he seems to stand out and always be have abig impact on the game. So I think he's standing up respleat here. That's probably he looks like Emperor Penguin. On the other side of that coin, we probably should touch on Gelong. Do you think this is a warryforgeelong or just round one? Doesn't matter? Yeah, I mean it could be. It shows that they can get jumped by side. It's more preparedgoing into a game, you know, I think yeah, obviously very theyknew that they were coming in against the worst team of the camp. Andthey had just, you know, landed three big season offseason so recruits. So yeah, it's a tough one. They do sort of rely a lotmore in a sort of slow ball movement and using their skills a lot moredelong. So a team like Adelaide that does have that drive and energy itgoing into matches that can really it can really dismantle along's tactics in a way. So yeah, I guess they probably did get found out a little biton the weekend. So I guess teams like Richmond stuff will know how tobeat them. Obviously Richmond know how to beat them. But yeah, Iguess the lower end teams, I put our legs stuff, they really knowhow to literally have dismantled this too long attack which on paper looks formidable buton the weekend look show shocked. So yeah, hopefully it makes for amuch more even season between these top and bottom teams. Yeah, day anddangers obviously going to be missing a few weeks through suspension. Did what didyou make that suspension? By the way, he's come out and said that hewas like defending himself. I think. Yeah, I love about what doyou think? Well, purely for my super coach. Hope it doesn't, but I think he's canned be gone. Well, he said he's coming outto defend himselves. I thought, okay, I hadn't seen the bumpclose up on sloo multiple times. I'd only sort of glanced at at once. You know, you see Jake Kelly disposed of the bowl. You seedanger, you know instead of because you know it, when there's a collisionhappening, you know you're sort of a show away from it. But yousee danger launched with his lean, launched with his foot straightens up. Idon't know. I know the thing that caused the concussion was the head clash. It wasn't shoulder hitting yet, it was a head clash. But thatbeing said, dangel literally leapt into Kelly. So I think that that the wholeargument for danger feel is that he didn't elect to bump and he hecan persuade the tribunal that, then he might have a case. But ifthey literally just look at the Vision, a look at danger field, theleg is a propels into Kelly, I think it's going to be a prettyquick hearing. Yeah, I think it's going to a couple weeks. LikeI know, the impact was the head, but still he elected to bump. There's no question about that. He liked left the ground as well, which, yeah, like it wasn't if he just like tucked in and justheld his ground. He full, as you said, launched at him sidedon't. Yeah, good luck to him and his lawyers or whoever defends themin the tribunal, because that he hasn't really much like. He hasn't coveredhis head either. You know, it was gone into that. You wantto protect yourself. You you know, you might sort of go like thats which obviously would probably like collective as elbow, but at the same timehe's, you know, he's fully expecting...

...to get him with the boomer.Yeah, the only thing with those ones is it if the player doesn't getknocked out, he probably doesn't get suspended, which is always a tough one.But yeah, I think you should be gone. Men a goal alsogot subbed off with a shoulder injury. I think he's going to be okay. Once again, hope he's my super etch team, so I hope he'sfine. But that was also another negative coming out of it. But Idon't think it's time to panic just yet. I think it's a little bit concerningthat they got destroyed by the text, because the text hasn't destroyed many defensesin recent times. But obviously this isn't common thing. But because Ido follow an RN AFL, I'll do some crosscode comparison here. The roosters. They're very similar to Geelong, very mature team. Each year they comeout and they look crap in the first month, they usually drop a fewgames and they always there come September. So maybe deelong's gone for a bitmore of that approach this year rather than being like one of the form teamduring the regular season and running out of steam at the end. So maybethat's something they're trying be out. Don't think it's time to panic. That'sstill got like Jeremy Cameron and stuff to come back. So I think it'sjust good win by Adelaide, to be honest. Other winners, mate.Who Else you looking at here? Well, well, I've I've got. Idon't really have teams, I've got more so you know, the crowdsback, intensity up, my multis are getting up. I've got the winners. Is just the AFL in general. You know, it's awesome to havethe footy back and I know they've just about announced. I think seventy fivepercent pass it the crowds and a around too, and it just keeps gettingbetter. So you know, I've got I think, six or seven winnershere on a list. But yeah, I think it's just the AFL ingeneral, because I think there's no better way for it to have come backon the weekend and the way it did. You know, there was upsetsclaw, you know, there's controversy, there was everything. But yeah, I'llif I have to narract down, it would be to sort of Adelaide Hawthorneand Sydney or winning, who we all predicted to be in the bottom forso I thought for those guys that come out and upset the teams that theydid, I think it was huge for the AFL to show that, youknow, round ones always full of upsets, but to show that they are notgoing to get walked over this season without a fight. And Yeah,it was awesome, especially for Sydney knocking over Brisbane by like ten goals orsomething, and they young guns absolutely tearing really Classy Brisbane outfit apart. SoI thought that was really good. Yeah, it's just awesome to have footy bad. Yeah, actually completely agree. I didn't watch too much of iton the weekend but I went through last night and watch like the mini matchof every every game, which is I love that from Ko just quietly. The mini matches are unreal taken up off the sports, don't know, speoff the sport to yeah, yeah, that's seen any match. Yeah, yeah, they've taken that for something work on. Yeah, but yeah,I completely agree. All the games looked really high paced, high intensity, like that adelage along game we talked about. That looked so intense. Every everytime someone got the ball they would just about pounced on. But yeah, probably the only negative coming out of the weekend was Matt Row's injury.I'd have to say that's obviously huge shame. That was going to be one ofthe most interesting stories to watch really of two thousand and twenty one, whether he can back up what he showed early last year and do it fora whole nine months or whatever. But sadly we're not going to see thattill maybe round five or six. Not sure how long he is out for. They probn't think it's they don't think it's as bad as it looked, but yeah, we'll see. But yeah, as you mentioned Sydney, they hadunreal winn against the lines. And I'll tell you what the next forthey've got Adelaide, then they've got essendon and then they have a tough onit's Richmond, but then they've got gws at home. So they could easilybe four and one going into round six, which, like I'm not saying they'regoing to make the top eight, but all of a sudden and theycan be someone that's a bit of a smoky for that eighth spot, becauseI remember from our predictions episode that that...

...eight spot was always a little bitshaky for all of us. We weren't too sure who was going to stepup and take it. So that could all of a sudden be there's andsomething I enjoyed from horse really is that they had no buddy. Kennedy andPark I don't think had too much impact on the game. They were obviouslypretty good as usual, but they weren't like dominant. But it was theother guys that stood up. McDonald, Campbell and golden all had unreal debuts. robottom. robottom had a really good game. He picked up my fivevotes in my brand Land Tom Hi key the pick up? Yes, RA, he actually had a pretty good game. He's at turned into a journey then. How about that? Yeah, keeping calciling clay out of the side. Yeah, they had a pretty impressive win it. And another team Iwas going to mention is Melbourne. I actually thought there went over free.Oh, it's probably to be expected because they are attendance looking to push fortop eight. But I think Frio is one of those teams where, ifyou want to be there at finals, you've got a beaten. But they'realso a team that can, you know, sort the men from the boys sortof situation. They can upset a few teams who are looking to becontenders, but they just pretender. So I think that was a good dispatchingby Melbourne to not slip up there. They do face sank Kildo, GWs and Geelong in the upcoming three weeks, so it's going to be tough forthem to get any results out of those three. So's a really importantwin for them. So they weren't owing for to start the season. Andthen just special shout out Tony and Leaver, who I think we're awesome. Theyboth had the most intercept and contested marks on the ground. So they'reforming a bit of a formidable partner ship down back. Yeah, anyone elseyou want to mention or do you want to touch on a few loss I'vegot a for the winners. Know I'm that you've cut it all perfectly. Those, those are mentions of Golden Campbell and McDonald remind me a lot oftwo years ago with Butters des Mer and kind of rosy. So yeah,I just that's awesome. Shades of what's to come. Golden opposite picked upthem rising style nomination and Zack butters look alike. He looks unreal on thefield. But yeah, I'm king to touch on a couple of loss actually, because as good as the side of the season was. I've got acouple, but I want to dress. Yeah, who you looking at here? First, can we avoid the bombers, or is there someone else you wantto now that I'm avoiding the bombers because I for so writing I hatedboth teams. I hate hawks and bombers, but for some reason I saw it. But I just Barack for hawks for the comeback. It was greatto see the bombers choking, but anyway. So first of all, want topay more spects to Roul and Alex peace actually as well, who wentand sort of under the radized, had absolutely shocking luck with injuries and thenobviously went down again on the weekend, you know, at his best seasonall Australian defender, but we've barely even seen that, unfortunately. So paymy respects to those two. One of the big losers was collingwood. NowI've had a reality check. I've taken him out of my top eight. They were eight and that sort of shaky fake position as we mentioned before. But I've taken them out. So wild a dress that later. But it'sthe same old woes. I realized they still don't have a forward line.So first of all they so they kicked outchual. Are Ch laws come backand he's delivered awesome. Lacey at kicks in norm with his first touch andI've I've actually is first time I've been on chilaws side. Not so that'sthe wrong way putting. I'm never up mutual, which a law as mostplace competition. But like I've sided with him here. He's been booed bythe first types, been booed by the crowd. Now he's gone through ashocking offseason. He's probably suffered tons of mental health issues anxiety in all thatin his departure of Collingwood. He loved the club and got kicked out andit was just shocking this management and to get booed by Collingwood fans with hisfirst touch when that lace was his home. He declared he was never leading hismagpie had probably still is to be...

...boot is first touch like that infront of the home crowd. It was absolutely disgraceful from Collingwood fans, andI'm saying that ran to the camera because that was an absolute shocking act fromanyone that. I've never really looked into too much of the situation, butto hear that just I'm so glad that the dogs won that because I wasnot having colling with win that after that our of the treatment they gave himwith his first touch. And I know it was only one touch and Iknow a few people probably boom during the game, but that to me wasjust just shocking. I'm all for booing pass players and all that, butin the situation and the way that trelaw had to leave the dogs, thiswas one way you just collingwood fans, just but once, just be abit human anyway. Yeah, and also to see James Stephens and kill itfor the north, for North Melbourne. Sorry, over thirty touches. wason fire for north. I know they's talk got beaten by fifty odd points, but I really does come back to buy collingwood in the US, andwell deserved so they'll obviously, you know, wasted him up there. I knowhe was happy at the pies, but it was awesome to see himcome out and absolutely fire and the position that he will probably played for therest of his career now nor so that's going to be my loses. Socalling and fans get that one up here. Yeah, well said. I don'thave too many loses written down in death. Obviously touched one long beforeEssen and I think we're one of the biggest losers, not because they likeI don't think they played awfully, just it. It was a game theycould have won. Obviously they were like five or six goals or and thenthe hawks just kick six, seven straight or thing like that to come backand win. And I was just having a look at their schedule and it'slooking pretty, pretty grim for the bombers. They've got pulled Adelaide, then they'vegot St Kildare and they've got Sydney in Sydney, which is started tolook like a hard match. Then they've got Richmond and then they've got collingwood. So they could easily be Owen five heading into that collingwood and sacked aclash. So yeah, it's very it's going to it's I'm already predicting andbasically I think the Essen and fans will be losing the plot come round five, round six. So you got to feel for the bombers fans in particular, but actually not really. Who Cares? As yea a direct rivalry to sinkyour to I am all for it. Is Great to see it. Yeah, well, more can you say? Those out there were up by fortypoints, absolutely choked it. I love screaming cozy every time the ballwent into the whole thor boardline. It's been a while, but yeah,I'll it. Just said. There's though Essen as Bush every time. SoI call well, looks like a gun, but every single kick that I watchedjust he absolutely torched it. So yeah, I mean it's a bitit's a bit of a shining light on the fact that we didn't manage toget him. But yeah, yeah, and another team in a similar situation. I don't think we need to worry too much about that loss. Butit's the Brittan lions. They now faced you long, inch, a longand they're likely going to be Owen to unless you think they're going to upseta long at the calgory. So that's not an ideal start for a premiershipcontender to be Owen to, especially including a game against Sydney. So Ithink they will be fine in the long run. Obviously the same as Julyand I don't think we can read too much into these round one results, but not ideal starts for some of these teams. Anyone else you're I mentionor do we want to move on to your top eight? No, I'mthink you've covered it all there. What a there's the two great matchup.Soje along Brisbane this week after to really disappointing place. So it matches fromthem on the weekend and then Adelaide Sydney to awesome performances. So yeah, isn't it? I don't know if that's even scripted or not, but thatwas yeah, what better way to to kick off the week that with CarltonCollingwood on Thursday night and then Jeelong Brisbane Friday night. So yeah, it'sgoing to be awesome. All right. So this is a this is asegment we started on the NFL podcast and we've brought it over to the NRLNAFEL podcast. So what we do is...

...we just have a rolling top eightbracket through the whole season. So each week we talked about our changes. That you can have no changes if you want, and we're going to dothe guests for the AFL. I won't do my own top eight. Sowe're going to start with your, you know, last week's top eight andsee how the weekend is change of view. So I'll just quickly run through yourtop eight from the predictions episode, or what we think it was anyway. De Along, first, Port Adelaide, second, Richmond, the Brisbane, fourth, thank killed a five, the dogs in. Sixth, Carlton, Carlton, seventh. That's I forgot that spicy call from you and Collingwoodin a. So do you have any changes to that this weekend or yes, so I've left one hundred twenty six untouched and the bottom of my ladderof a twelve, eighteen untouched, but oh a bit like the Veronica isthere. But I've so, I've I've put up west coast up into seven. Yeah, I know, I was really sort of part of them onthe offseason. Just give it. I think they're re list is aging stuff. But then I saw US Allen, who's going to be the new forwardline along with Leam Ryan, so they're not obviously at all going to foldover anything. You know. I've got Tim Kelly turned it up in themidfield and the defense looked awesome, especially Tomper us. So I've got themup at seventh. I've got Coulton shift down to eight. Of still gotthem making it. I've got free. Oh I know this is only atop ten. will go down to eleven where I've made changes. Free Ican stay at nine. Melbourne come up one spot to ten out of gotcollingwood slipping all way down to eleven because just not a fan. Therefore, line is not existent. They midfield look really shaky. Taylor ums played areally just not promising game, and Pendburry, I haven't seen pain debris look theway he did like that involved in forever, you know, cause fewturnovers, drop a few marks, a few free kicks against and looked abit slow. So, yeah, I've got him sliding. Yeah, soyou're not concerned? Budge along or Brisbane just think it was a one off? Yeah, not yet. I think the talent on Geelong's list is toogood. If there, will obviously overcome the sort of things that are laidfound out about them. You know, there it's a football club, they'reprofessional club. They're obviously not going to just say well, let's let's hopethis does it happen again. They got to find way is to, youknow, make sure that doesn't happen again. And with a talent I've got, yeah, I don't I'm not worrying yet. Brisbane, on the otherhands, yes, they're in fourth. I'm still keeping them there. They'restill there, more to the fact that I don't see anyone else below thepushing into the top for just yet. I don't see Saint Kildo, asmuch as I'd love to, I don't see them pushing into the top forjust yet. Same with the bulldogs or west coast anyone. So I'm goingto keep that all one touched. Next up we have our players of theweek. I'll split it up into positional group. So we've got to backto the week, midfielders of the week, ruck of the week, forward tothe week and a rookie of the week. Feel free to name asmany as you want, rally, so we'll let you start us off, mate. You can just run through your players, basically players, or westarted like with the positions. We'll go position by position. So back bythe week or back of the week. Who If you got? Sounds good. I've Got Tho was a there was a lot of good defenders this week. I've got Darcy more actually sitting at one. Sorry, he's kind sixcontest in marks, nine intercepts, though. He was awesome. I did watchthat game. He really sort of led the way down back for Collingwoodand it's such a quality player. You know expect no less from him andthen, yeah, you've it's really hard because there's a lot of these sortof intercept key position defenders that were awsome on the weekend. I've got JakeLeeve a sitting it to twelve intercepts, enough said. Stephen May at three. Those guys really works to intended. They how a lot of chemistry betweenthem. I think so. Yeah, he also had twenty four disposal sofor a key position player like him to really sort of lead the way fromthe back and distribute the ball up the...

...field because really good from someone likehim. So yeah, I'm going to start probably chucking him in a fewmoulties if they keep on using the way that they do. So he wasawesome. A couple honorable mentions. TOMP ER assel. It was awesome tryto fin him in but just couldn't, and the fact that they were upagainst gold crows, a slightly weaker side and they got a few cheep he'sin the end in terms of marks. Not a bolter. I thought wasawesome, especially on the game for Carlton and Richmond. He was really gooddown back. I look like an absolute animal. Is Athletic ability as well. For some of the his eye is just freakish as well. We maywho I play cre with, Cameron Watts, umpires a lot and said that hewas the worst person to unplier because he just is an absolute I won'tsay it, but just doesn't agree with any decision that he had to makeor anything like that. So I'm glad we could just have to watch himand not have to hear him. But yeah, I've got him in thereas an honorable mention. Shown it her and I thought was also good aswell. Looks like he's sixty years old but plays like he's, you know, within playing age, so I thought he was awesome too. Yeah,I agree with you. With Darcy Moore, here was my back of the week. Most contested marks in the AFL, most innocept marks in the AFEL acrossthe round. So what's not to love about that? I don't gethow darsty Moore's not rated as like one of the best defenders in the competitionat this point. Every time I watch collingwood he seems to have be inthe top three best players on the ground. Really. Yeah, I think he. I think it's an absolute weapon. He's so good at positioning himself forthose interset marks. Yeah, yeah, Stephen May, as you mentioned, here's my number two, and this is a bit of a Pod,but my number three is Ryan Burton. I'm actually unsure how he's popped upin my voting system, Ryan Burn but let me know how, because Idon't know how. He had four intercept marks and he has seven rebound s. So yeah, I don't know too much about how else he went, but he was, yeah, up there in the votes for port. Forme, out of thy talking to killed went to the game. I wastalking to peeled. She said you didn't even really notice him. So,but you'd never know back. That's always good to throw in a curveball.Yeah, well, I'm Jack pose as well. I think he touches. He was. Yeah, twenty eight effective kicks, yes, like unheard of. Yeah, he put the he sunk, being our super coach draft. Actually, all right now, I was playing against him to get like underfifty two win or something, and I'm kind of big toy. So yeah, yeah, Midfield Mate, who you looking at here? Well, youcan't read past dusty. Thirty one touches, two goals and he was just doingdusty things. You know, fed dols is still work at a treatno one's really founded at a way of stopping that from him. So dustyat one, BAS Lenka to thirty six touches, eight marks, two dolls. You know, seems as the only only person that's been able to tacklehim in his plane Crey was me back in your nine. So I pickeda hole in the ball. So, yeah, he was an absolute animalamongst that midfield of you know, bomb McRae, Dunkley, liver, heseems to be the best and he's, you know, twenty, twenty oneyears old. So thought he was awesome. Tim Kelly as well, I thinkat three was awesome for the eagles, led the way in the midfield.Shows that what proved me wrong shows at the list is really aging, you know, twenty eight touches. Also the thirteen score involvements, which isan AFL high, just shows how damaging is and why the eagles paid thatmuch for him, because they do really need that type of player. Ithink in the midfield had a lot of slow sort of midfields in the partythat've had that Matt prettiest era. You know, Jack Redden come in andyou know hasn't done a whole. You know, he isn't he's much asa damaging player. They've got Lao, but he's a Yoyo and he's inconsistentand in and out of the team half the time. So I thought hewas awesome for the Eagles and one of the main reasons they got up TomMitchell as well as an honorable mention.

I've got in there and I'd liketo say Hunter Clark as well, because he looked like pendles in the wetin Sydney. So I hopefully I can get him in number one spot, number one mid of the week and the weeks to come. I'm sure youwill be able to I've actually gone three different players, so bit interesting. Now number one. Number One, I've gone with Andrew McGrath. Yes,he had. I've basically just written down one stat of each played to notgoing to write down the whole stay because you guys will be here for days. But yeah, he had the most tackles in the Compoud, eleven tackles, but that's pretty handy. He was a big reason why Itson went upto such an early lead. Human Sel really explode in the first half.Dom shed him, Tim Kelly Nick. That really with a reason why westcoast comfortably won that game. I think he had six hundred and forty fourmeters gained, which is quite a lot for a midfielder. Usually, likethe halfback flankers rack up those because they've got you know, they're just bangingit down the line. He also had the most clearances in the AFL onthe weekend and third of actually, by the way, I've considered dusty orforward just for this because I didn't really like it. which other forwards topick, but I'm like Jack Graham. I think he was Richmond's. Yeah, it's best player. He had the most inside s on the weekend ofany player in the competition, which is something we probably don't think of JackGrahame as being good at, but he had eight hundred thirty six meters gained, which was also the most in the airfl so he was pretty good.Usually he's just a bit of like a tackling machine, but he looks likehe might be taken the next step this year. So great start to theseason by those guys. Rock at the week do you have the great men, Maddie, for I don't know. I'm actually which is I've got someoneeven better. I beg a coal hero, Tom Hickey. Now about this.Twenty three times, twenty four hittouts and the weird st looking pill inthe affelt. But he was awesome. You know, I'm as as sortof hard as it was to have him on my team at Saint Kilda.I love to see him succeeding it. It's in the release for this week'shopefully days as the one rock all year, because they was awesome. I've GotMaddie Flynn in as an honorable mention because he was up against the onesare who managed to rank I think like nineteen from the AFEL in the Ruckman. Given there's eighteen teams, I'll let you can get no one out foryourself. And the fact that it was really, really wet in the Sanculior gdls Games, a lot of sort of stoppages and stuff, which Imean also affected, you know, the scores of gone and Grunty a bit. You know, if they were playing up there they would have had probablysimilar schools to find. So I've got Tom Hickey. Never thought I'd sayit. I've got Tom hikey as one number one ruck for the week.Fair play. Well, it is a yeah, I've Gone Maddie Fan Ican't lie and really take into account opposition. It's probably a fair point from you. The third most he doubts to advantage in the competition. He hadfive school launches, which is always a pretty key start for Rockman. It'snot really one that's too visible on many like apps or anything, but youcan see it in the stats. Part of the AFL website. That's basicallylike they've just set up a scoring opportunity, yea, from a rock tap.So I think they're pretty crucially it was really good around the ground aswell. Had A lot of clearances, a lot of contested possessions. Soyeah, he looked really good in his debut, I believe it was.So yeah, so my rookie of the week, but we'll touch on thatlater. Right forward to the week. I found this one a bit tough, if I'm honest, because I have to say I went off my votingsystem and it hates forwards absolutely. I struggled here. But who have yougot? Well, I've got no. You can't go past text as thenumber one forward. Yeah, he was awesome. Just led the way inthe attack, without they wouldn't want. Yeah, eighteen disposals, coug seven, took and keep five. It was absolutely awesome up front for them.Played like you was, you know, five years younger and put all thesort of okay issues behind him. Number two, I've got these next.I had these next two plays in a...

...multi it was paying like fifty eightdollars and the one that was paying thirteen odds dollar odds got up. Ihad so I had okay. So my second forward is fantasia. So hekeep fo calls for is for craft. was unbelievable watching a clip of himlast night. The way he was able to sort of not dowdle around theball, as the balls about eighty, ninety meters and goal, the wayhe was able to sort of push back make space for someone to run into, all for him to then take advantage of was awesome and showed his forecraftknowledge is really superior to that to others. I think they compared it to Masoncoxy did sort of door all around it. They showed the big differencein class there. So I've got him. I've got Oscar Allen as number three. So you kick for took nine much to against what I wanted, because I had fantasiers most goals group one in the Port Adelaide match in thetwo leg multi and end up King Force. I thought, here we go.I chopped it, chopped on like two dolls. Fifty eight because mysports but account was forty two hours fifty eight. You've got to, youknow, make even about chucking on something wild, so I did. SoI fantasie the most goals and I did check darling most goals on the inthe West Coast game. So I could have cashed out at thirty after theNorth Game. Of all, let's ride it for one hundred and fifty. But didn't get up. But Oscarlam was awesome, you know, as muchas I was just praying that he missed every single set shot, every singlemark. He did take them and did keep them. So I've got togive it to him there. So yeah, yeah, fair enough. Yeah,I've got the text first and yeah, pick dust is for ward. Sohe was one. Number two. I didn't even have another three.Probably shouldn't change five voting system because that fantasia look like he had a reallygood game from the highlights. What was going on with forwards? Just likeplaying on and kicking kicking it from Forda this week, or playing on fromfive meters out and then butchering it. Like yeah, I think I amMary. I think membory might have done it or like just not. They'vejust burnt people like they were. Yeah, so easy option. I think memorydid one, texted one. Fantasia did one where I was like wife, they'd shot there, but they kicked it. Complain. I did noticethat actually, come to think, yeah, I know, I remember watching theSaints Game of Memories. You know, we've got a hole by the ofthe creer club who some for some reason, all supports Saint Kilda. You know, membories lining up from fifty on an angle. We've got liketwo plays in the set up by themselves. But mayby, what are you doing? And I'll let I wasn't even celebrating. When he kicks I thought, Oh my God. But yeah, I saw a fantasia did it aswell. You usually think it's more like a debut top thing where they justhave shots to get that first one. I think Anthony Scotped it for thedogs as well a couple of times that. Yeah, I don't know. Imean it proves for some good goals and some gutsy goals, but I'lltell you what, when they means you know that they're going to be copingthe spray. So yeah, and this is completely non statistically base, butBilly Frampton, if you just watch the Adelaide along highlights, you'd guess hekicks seven. Yeah, he was just plunking everything on the kick to.I think you keep two hinds as well, but he looked like he had apretty big impact on the game with his clean hands. Or rookie ofthe week. We're talking about this. Last I said rising star rules andthen I realized Maddie flee and I think it's too old for change them, because you why not? So yeah, I've just gone less than ten games, but I don't think that changed your answer. So who have you gotfor rookie of the week? I've got errol Er will golden was unbelievable.Nineteen touches, ten marks, three goals. I'll tell you what. I watchedthe WHOLEHERTO, because I didn't obviously the whole game. I was watchingthe Essen and Hawthorne, but every single kick either laced out. He lookslike he's been playing the game five ten years and he's one of the bestkicks in the COP ready if you want to go watch highlights and be myguests, because watch the writing sides. He lays out every single kick. It's unbelievable. Even if set shot from on the boundary, no, fortyout straight through the middle is really awesome to watch. So it's definitely anotherreason to watch Sydney coming up. You...

...know, Braden Campbell, burst anda half back, and low McDonald Lot for clunking them with the I haveto say, not the most appealing haircut of all time. Looks a bitweird, like a really fringe nearly down to the eyebrows. But yeah, errol Gooland just absolute pinpoint accuracy was boot. I was really surprised, especially fromsomeone like if. He's sort of play type and statue. You know, I'm thought is more that sort of bash and crash pressure for but tolace out the players like he did, of it was unbelievable so yeah,I've definitely got him as my rookie for the week. Yeah, fair, well, deserve yeah, as I mentioned before, I've Gone With Maddie Flynn. Was Against Paul Hunter, so not sure if you can take too muchfrom it, but yeah, I'd pretty good game. As I mentioned,a coach and was my rockbot. Yeah, exactly here is. I haven't gonewith gone or Grundy. So any time a rookie ruck gets up andabout this week I think I'll be lapping on about them. So yeah, well played at Maddie Flynn. Who's you got this week? WHO's gws playingoff Rioh, so he actually has Lloyd me Lloyd make as he's not back. So he could be looking at backtoback rocks of the week for me.Yeah, but all right, moving on to our week to preview. Actuallyfrof this part of the podcast. For some reason really enjoyed making predictions. So we've got out sure better the week. So something you think you're just goingto put your house on the upset of the week. So which underdogsdo you like this week, basically? And then we're going to talk alittle bit about game spreads. which betting lines are the most appealing for youthis week? Obviously don't just because we say something's appealing, don't go andput money on it unless you end was fully. Yeah, exactly, takethe losses. It's you did a listen to that. But who's your surebetter the week? Well, I just sort of got on. I lookedto the web forecast. I look, it's any pouring for the Carlson Collingwoodgame. So I've credit. I created a little five leg multi. Actually, I hope you don't mind me doing that in case when to get onit. So I've got you know, it's under a hundred sixty four pointfive points. I don't see either team, I don't see any team, scoringabove eighty or ninety points of the game, considering the conditions it isgoing to be in, considering that are the strongest forward lines and because closedefense is obviously really good. So I'm going the unders there to go anytime, because I don't you think he does sort of fire in the wetand, you know, be hungry after last week. I've got a coupleof twenty touches. So Walsh side and crips. That's paying three dolls fifty. So if you want to check, maybe ten fifteen on that make thirtyforty, forty five. You know that will pay for a tanker petrol andyou're golden. So three dolls fifty. If you want a power play thatfeel free to if you have one, but unfortunate use on mine up onlosses. So yeah, yeah, my sure better. The weeks pretty dull, I'm going to be honest, but I've just I was looking at theGames. Is actually not too many certainties this week round. Once tell meoff few teams. I think Sydney to beat oudelaide. That look it's notgreat value. It's like a dollar forty. But yeah, I think I don't. I'm not backing out of laid to back up last week's performance.I think Sidney will be too good at home. But I'm going to bevery, very safe here. I'm going to say Port Adelaide to beat Essendonor you wouldn't believe it. Yeah, a dollar forteen. So basically everyoneagrees with me. Yeah, but they played last year and round seventeen poortone by fifty points. So yeah, just can't really see a well worseand win this. Now, watch them go ahead and win it and wecan laugh me next week. But surely not. Surely port will be Ithink port of kind of reached that level where they're pretty SIS dispatching at thebad teams, which is something they strug with back in like two thousand andseventeen, two thousand and eighteen. So yeah, I think they won't beslipping up here against Essen and upset of the week. Mate, there's acouple of the interesting I reckon. But what are you looking at? Yeah, well, after last week, I can't, you know, I can'tpick a short bet whiner this week and...

I'm you know, I have tosay port. I laid's probably the safest. Yeah, but I've yet the upsetof the week. I've got maybe the eagles over the dogs. Imean the eagles coming here there were coming out over two dollars, I think. Obviously the dogs got the much better, more supyramid field. I don't seeJosh Bruce and all that replicating what they did. I know they wereagainst the collingwood defense, which is probably one of the best the comp buteagles is nearly just as good. You know, barrass, McGovern, hearand rebounding off. Plus they've got the forward line, though, that collingwoodlacked. They've got Oscar Al and they've got Luke, sorry, lean,Ryan, Darling and Kennedy. So I reckon the eagles are definitely a sniff. They're my chuck. A quick bet on them as well. But whathave you got? Yeah, just quickly on that one. I really likethat cool I was looking at because you know how they've got the big MCGlike who do their run talks about, so I was checking out how ittranslates to Docklins and I think they've actually won their past five games at marble. So their troubles don't really seem to travel across the city. So Ithink that's a very good upset chance. My other one is gws to beatfreemantle. I'm a big fan of freemantle this year. I think they're goingto be a good team, but I can't really get out of the mindsetthe gws through a good team, I know, accepting that they're bad yetyeah, so I was not surprised they were underdogs, but I was surprisedit wasn't a little bit more even than it is. They're paying like twodollars and ten cents. I think they played last year and Gews beat themby thirty eight points in Perth in front of a Twentyzero people. So Ibelieve that was with Josh Kelly going down at like halftime as well. Icould be wrong, I'm pretty sure. Is that game. Sorry if he'llwe playing a full game. So beautiful and yeah, I don't I didn'twatch too much of the same quilty game, so I'm sure you saw more ofit than me. But I think to only lose two same Kilda byeight points, I think it's a pretty good effort. Who we a lotof people are predicting to be a top four team. So I'm going gwsto beat freemantled. You think that's an average call or do you think that'sa chance? No, I definitely think that's a chance. I know lasttime they did beat they bade them by that much. They did have Kellygot out. They had jake riccardi coming out and kick for obviously don't havehim or camera in this week. Is I think Ricardi might still be injured. But no, I definitely like that called. It'll be a good testfor the likes of Chair and race sure and Sorong in the midfield against, you know, Josh Kelly and can nearly I and Jacobobble looks like taking thenext step as well. So I'll be interesting to see how fair a responseto that they will be in front of their home crowd, which will help. So it's almost like whether they can sort of test the bigger teams ofthe competition. I know generous. I'm not accepting that they're a bad teameither, but to for free to take the next step, they've got tobeat all these sides at a sort of equal with them. I've got themhaving I've got them equal with them at the moment, roughly. So yeah, it'll be a good test of boath tank, I think, this week. But I do like that call of GDS coming over top of them.Yeah, and then looking at the bending lines. I'm actually going to startone off that you're going to like. Yeah, I never know the terminologyfor this, but I just say, like I just read it like amass equation. I just got minus tempoint father. I don't know if it'sit's like under ten point five sign but say killed our minus ten point fiveto beat Melbourne. I was looking at it. Their one sixth of thelast seven at marble. Everyone knows they're pretty elite marble team. I thinklast year they beat Richmond there. They'd beat one of the other big teamsthat I can't really remember. And in those six victories that they've had amarble out of their last seven, all but one of them has covered thisspread. So they've I think one of them they only one by three points. The rest were like fifteen or more. So yeah, Melbourne, yes,I had them in my winners earlier and I think they were good.Last week dispatched to Free Free Oh, which could have been a tough game. But yeah, I think send killed at marveled to be only minus tenpoint five. I think that's very good...

...value in my opinion. I'd likeI'd probably say they should be like minus twenty five or something personally, butthat's see me. Yeah, which do you have any others you like?Um, I was liking North Melbourn's line, eighteen point five against Gold Coast.I think north of put up a good fight. I'm not necessarily sayingthey'll win, but I do think they'll come close. Think we saw inthe weekend Gold Coast was unable to sort of push west coast right to theend of West Coast got a few at the end of the match. SoI think North Melman will be able to run out the full game because theygot top of white port. I lay in that second quarter, but apartfrom that they whenever truly out of any quarter, they came out of theblocks firing and testuput I'd laid early. So I've got North Melbourne Line ateighteen point five there. So even if they lose, you know I'm goingto hopefully be praying it's by like less of three goals. I like thatone. Yeah, that's a very good one. I've gotten in a similarsort of fashion with my next one. Big Underdog, but I've Gone Hawthorneat Plus Thirty Point Five against Richmond. Look, this one it's a bigrisk, I'll admit because obviously richmond the gun team. But I've watched Aliceto Clarkson's podcast on the deal and friends show and I'm I'm a bit I'min love with the great man now. He seems like it just a greatbloke. Yeah, and I don't know, it just doesn't seem like a whowthornthing to get blown out. I know the last few years they havenot been as good as they were five or six years ago, but Idon't know, I just could see them not beating Richmond but just maybe havinga close, tight game and hopefully some weather comes in and makes it alittle bit more scrappy game. That might suit Hallthorne. But yeah, Ijust hope they don't get blown out. Really just praying. Yeah, toomuch the logic behind it. Just back in in the Hawthorne Curt Yeah.Yeah. Do you have any others? No, that's it, I think. Yeah, I think last year I checked a lot of money on Richmond'sbeat Hawthorne and I think it's around three or four clash because they did abet easy thing. When you sign up in an account you get like fivedollar odds. You got followers for Richmond. Too easy for your money, andthen Hawthorne just came out and just destroyed him. So I'm yeah,I definitely wouldn't be surprised that happens now because I thought I was never goingto happen last year it did, so I don't want to be proven wrongtwice. So I can. Yeah, I can see that happening, ofcourse I can. So I've got no others really. I'm looking at thefixture now. But yeah, I think that's all pretty said. So I'mactually going to check a probably a couple Moses on now. I wanted toout of all these. So I think, yeah, I think that's we've wrappedit up well there. Yeah, and then obviously west coast and gwstheir lines. I guess we can say we like them because we think they'regoing to win the game, but don't really need to go through that yesagain. But yeah, that's all we've got for this week. There mightbe a few alterations the structure in the first few weeks till we find theperfect layout, but I think today went pretty well. I enjoyed just talkingabout it with you. Yeah, I'm working some duble to looking forward tomore footy in the upcoming weeks. Kind of keen for the CRICKET SEASON TOBE OVER, to be honest, because I just want to sit down andwatch the NL AFL on my weekends. Bit, bit sick of this leavinga nine, getting home at six and missing us the Games, but fornow the highlights and mini matches do the trick. So yeah, we'll beback next week and yeah, thanks for joining me, rolly. Hope you'veenjoyed your y hour or so talking rubbish and always yes, I loved itand thanks for listening and watching Chit. Thank you.
