Welcome back to the on the BAARD Potty, not the episode of the Greatest Party going round, and we're back to talk some more rubbish about the AFL football league. Just said of essentially just said football league, Football League, feel football by I'm pretty sure I always do that, but I'm actually came to talk some dribble today. I've been grinding, you need, the last twenty four hours and I feel like just switching off and letting the mouth just dribble through a hour or so. So and it's a big day, big week, and footy on the eve of the finals. No finals by this year, well pre finals anyway. So that's exciting. But some momentum rolling in and there's some awards this week. So Thursday night the rising style, the AFL Coaches Association and the Australian all get named in a like a semi virtual awards night, and the Australian squad just got announced a couple of hours before we are recording. So we thought what we were planning to do anyway. But we're going to be doing our a bit of an awards show today. So big chat about the Australian, as we always do. Had some comments requesting it actually, so shout out to those people. Also going to be chat about a half. Yeah, the beat, the the hards. Also going to chat about the rising star and it may be touched on the brownlow. But before you get into that, we do have to address the final round. We've got the usual suspects here, so I don't think I need to introduce you. But Rowley, who were your biggest winners of the week? Man, well, foot, he's done well and now finals begin. But for you? Yeah, yeah, he's done. For me, but finals and offseason. Know it doesn't really go down from here. But anyway, so port obviously a big winner. I saw. I came to light hours before the game. Realizes no way porter losing this and yeah, never in doubt. So Kate win going into finals for them. The lines as well, that Lincoln. That but that last quarter is absolutely unbelievable and info seen them more intense, like twenty to thirty margin game. It's it was Unbelievableh McCarthy keep that goal, like surely all the players, I don't know how, all the place, knew that, like they needed a point of something, but they celebrated is as if they knew. So good from the lines coming into the finals, of some more momentum the the day's as well, obviously, over the cats. I think not many people saw this one coming. I think most people were sort of back in the cats in on their home turf, but big Maxi gone. That was unbelievable, and now they claimed the minor premiership the days and the giants has to get the job done. Over over Carlton. It was a game that the giants' Is a type of game that the giants often lose, so it was good them to hold their nerve and and now they're going to go into finals, which is good to see, especially considering the fact that, given the list, they definitely deserve to be that. Yeah, pillage, what do you make of the famous port victory that Rowe just mentioned? Me? Yeah, unbelievable come back, obviously, and but the main thing was I was really pleased with the way the boys played. I think we were the easily the better team on the night and will provide us with a lot of momentum going to finals. But I don't want to say too much about it. Yeah, Yus jinks reasons. Yeah, you are a big believe it in your senses did you put religion as jinks because you are an absolute die heart of the practice. So yeah, we weren't force you to risk it. Your Auntie Jinks work last week. So a little played. But yeah, you said to me you're pretty confident on the Friday morning and we saw why. Goodwin. I unfortunately did tip the Doggies, so hurt because a lot of people backed in court and it was a good game that I didn't catch all that.

Caught the back end of it. My mum actually really enjoyed it. Not the biggest fan of AFL footy, but she said it was the best quarter she's ever seen, so given that she's only seen about probably twenty quarters in her time, excluding grand finals. But you know, she said it was very clean football, which he liked to see. Not many like not many bull ups and Shit like that. She doesn't enjoy that stuff. So Yeah, port one, it was good game of Footy, though. Excited to see both teams this week, even though they didn't make the eight. Quick shout at to St Kilda. They are in my winners. I know they sort of just put a nail in Freyer's coffin as opposed to do anything for themselves, but I'm sure it was good to see a win. Better to see win than a loss. Roley and also essendon dusted their job very comfortably, which people might have thought they were going to shit the bed, but I'm pretty sure by that time anyway there wasn't much to play for, but it's still good to do it as comfortably as they did. Losers, for me, the biggest loses got to be the dogs. Really both wins. Roy talked about the port and the Brisbane wins. Although they were very entertaining for us, I'm sure they were nightmare of stuff for the doggies. Couldn't have gone any closer to a top for finish and not actually finish in the top four. They're probably we're paying I don't know, a doll fifty. Two make the top four halfway through the season and they've crashed down in the final seconds. So yeah, they were definitely the biggest losers and now they're basically they don't get a second chance. They're not going to have any home finals, which you probably would have even been. Well, wouldn't have been in Belvet Anyway, so I'm not sure how big a fact that is, but they would definitely the biggest losers. PILCH. Any other losers you want to mention? Yeah, so the bulldogs and then Freeo to I didn't actually I didn't catch that game, but to come out and lose by seventy points with finals on the line one was pretty disgraceful. I'm sure the saints put on a clinic but just would hate to be a free o fan there and the doggies are actually feel really bad for them. I think they have some serious right to file an umpowering investigation into that Brisbane match because there are some disgraceful antics going on from the boys in grain there. But bad luck and I still think they'll do right in finals. Yeah, it's not, not the end of the world for them. They do have a favorable matchup this week. But yeah, I agree that free o call. We talked about last week how they won the Derby and thought that was a bit of a monkey off the back, but the monkey thought of crept back on on the weekend. They're I know it's like a bright future and stuff and they'll be luck in their finals chances for next season, but not the ideal way to finish off a what has been a positive season for them. rolly. Any other losers? You want to mention the CODA? Pretty well, boys, maybe just touch and gold crest sounds quickly. Just got absolutely flogged by the SWAN's. Have obviously been a huge critic of them this year hand, but I'm yeah, this was just like you just can't be losing like this. I don't know, it's just in a neutral venue. You can't blame anything else but yourself. So, yeah, just another poor showing from them. Hopefully they can bounce back next year. You know, when you're down forty two, four and the quarter time, you know it's just it's not. It's not right where you want to be for the sun's there. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure coach is sort of deviated. He he's anger from mixtake, kicking two to the umpires there, but because I was glad to see west coast. But he should have seen me. You should have seen me when mixed a that mixed a thing right at the end when he marked it and then miss the in tight goal. Ye would have been teasing. I went off that I went off. But yeah, no, you boys coming pretty well, saymes, you just I don't know. We just jokers. Sort of. I just hate us. We love to play our best footy one but yeah, anyway, move on. Yeah, bathosts from Gold...

Coast are they're going to be a tough one to predict for next year because I'm sure there's going to be some people like maybe Richard Fans, when Gold Coast played really well against top set them, who might predict them for a surprise top aid appearance. And then there's probably going to be others who think they might be a bottom forced if so, yeah, I don't know what's going on at the Gold Coast. But also I'll mention just long. I know they also really, really good team in Melbourne, but that loss could we could look back on that loss and it could be pretty pivotal for them. They're now drawn the short Straw. have to play port in Adelaide, so with a what will probably be twenty Fivezero bogans just ripping and tearing. So yeah, it's going to be tougher jelong. They're obviously good enough to beat them, but not the perfect lead up to finals for them at all. But yeah, that's the winners and loses. That's the end of the regular season. Final winners and the actually will probably do what isn't it. Actually can't really do what isn't loses the finals because the loss just the ones you got eliminated. But we'll move on to our awards then. I am not doing my rising star, my Brownlow, because I'm not finished my voting process yet. I'm about three rounds away, so I'm going to save them mine announce them in next week's episode. But I'll get you boys to mention yours. Rowy, how about your start us with your rising star mate. Is there debate with this one or not? Really, just quickly before I get into my rising style of Luke Jackson obviously going to be climbing the award got on him, I think. Errol golden traders have been huge for their clubs, but round twenty three, if they're on, lay around. Cooper charm and was robbed. I've even got his stats here. Four goals, fifteen touches, six marks, four of them contested, few of them inside fifty, obviously. Seven score involvens a hundred three ranking points and he's going to get it for at least a Brownlow vote, I think. A judge by the aflcom dot you, he was our third best on ground it was a saints player around, but no, he lost to some bloke called Connor. So yeah, that's I don't know how how it's happened. We've just unearthed Max King's toll forward part for the next ten years but can't get a sniff at the rising start. Nom. So that was just daylight robbery. But yeah, I'll give it to Le Jackson. But yeah, I was just absolutely shill fi that. UNLESS, unless for some reason he's a midseason peak it he's not eligible. I don't know, because he fits the age requirements and everything. But shocking. Who Even is Cooper Shalman? For the for the average Joe watching me, midseason peak was playing too is for West webs. I kind of remember that Westwoodville, Torrens, I think this year, and he's now kicking for and Free Hour and not getting a rising stand on. So Nick rewalt. Nick rewalt height, athletic toll forward, but not good enough for a for a normous sounds like an absolute dogging after say. Oh, I'm thinking about a super coach next year's I'll keep that name in the little black book next to Wayne Miller that I mentioned last week. The too absolute mustubs right there, pilch. Rising star. Mate, how are you going with the census pick? Yeah, look about four weeks ago it was very close between Jackson and Georgiatis, but Luke Jackson turned into Superman for the last month of footy and Georgiadis, I think, kicked one goal in four games. So it ended up being a landslide to Jackson. Yeah, fair enough, I think. I don't think it's really up for discussion at the moment. Tom De Kooning's winning my rising star, but three rounds to go, so probably probably for the best that I didn't say mine.

Paul. Lucky Jackson can't buy a vote because he is playing with clover and the truarker and Gornie and the rest of the side. But right, Brownlow, time might be spoiling. You're one of your Australian picks, but if you think they're winning, the Brownlow's probably a obvious Australian pick. Peelch, will start with you, mate. Your man, the slabhead. I think I can say slaphead for both Harry McGuire and Ali wines. I think it's fitting for both. He's right in the mix. Do you think he will win it. I've actually I actually think bump and Pelli will win the brownlow metal. I'm being sensible on today's podcast and I'm going with the bond, closely followed by Oliver for the Brownlow. Yeah, fair enough, real I think interesting. Actually, go ahead. Friend of the show. Bottom name of til up mentioned to me the AFL brownlow predictor and wines is like sixteen on it, which was quite interesting. But it's actually very similar to what the mccaulcodile brownlow predictor hasn't that. So maybe there's a bit of actually there. But interesting. Stiff Olie, but I know the Stroudie brownlow predictor has him at number one, which is the best metric going around apparently. Roley, have you got your our man? Actually, I can't say our man. I hate that. I'd like cultures van all the ones up at number one. I still hate him. So it's not my man. I know I've found another slidehead, though. Oh yeah, it's just a gun an. I don't and I doubt he's got the square ashead of the saying. Now. Yeah, well, Nice Straud in, his mate, or I know he's got mat set. Of all done this thing every year. You know, they can pile they're three two ones and everyone's three two ones and average it out and blah, blah. Basically they won. They win it a lot of money every year from doing it. So they have wines in it one as of a month ago, and since then I think wine has got more boats than bond anyway. But yeah, I don't know. Every single brando predicted. That happens every year. Is Always Wrong. So I don't like to really follow them because it is really unpredictable. You know, there are blokes who was I think was Molly Williams, like got a vote or sewing and got seven touches. I thinking like the eastern Monday game years ago. But yeah, it's it's an unpredictable war, which makes it great. At the moment, I honestly don't know. Like I've got wines, bond steel up there clary as well. Like it's fantastic that we don't know because it makes it such a good viewing this year and such a great night to deposit a k into the sports but account. But now I should be a ripper nine and ripper count. So at the moment, yeah, probably bomb. But in saying that, he has had a quiet last month. So I'm interesting to see whether it's overtake and you know, or whether these guys like Monday and parish, who boats have a lot of three vote games, compile enough and then can get a few cheap he's where they can give it a run as well. But yeah, I think, yeah, I think the top five for I going to consist of like bond wine, steel quarry and no stone else. But yeah, and yeah, I'll pe Truka. So yeah, I'm just got it that took isn't eligible but probably didn't win enough games. But yeah, should be rip account. Yeah, there's actually someone who haven't really mentioned yet who's right in the mix. For Mine it's Darcy powish. She's I think the last round I just tallied up before we started this, I think bond just over took parish again. But for me then neck and neck. I think he falls away a little bit in the last three rounds where I think Bot might pick up a couple more. But yeah, for me it's the bond at the moment but, as I mentioned before, I'll mention it in next week's episode. Who Wins My brandlow all Australian time however, this is arguably the potties flagship show the Australian selections with this would be our fourth one now, including the mid years, and they always go down a treat I'm actually going to do my last this time.

I always do them first because mines you just a bit of a gag, but I thought I'll changed up this time because I was thinking about it. When I make the clips of the show, don't really want some random afl fan just clicking on and seeing me pick will snelling in the forward pocket. Might would like to, you know, expose them to some people with actually good opinions, so I I will start with Pilch, who is, in your all Australian teammate. Great Question Mate, and it is as follows. If we start with the full back line, I've got Tom Stewart in one of the back pockets. Fairly consensus pick their stephen may full back. And then for the other back pocket, this one was an absolute toss up between two interceptors, earlier and lever. Honestly cannot split them, but I've gone for a lier. Just think he's a little bit more of a pleasure presence on the field, more of an athletic beast and clearly one of the best interceptors and lockdown defenders in the game. To see them halfback line, rich and Dale on the outsides give a better running carry and then weadering at send a half back. I don't think Harris Andrews was quite stiff not to get a nomination, but fair play. Sent a line. I'm just going to say I'm a I'm normally huge advocate for, you know, putting wingers on the outside, not putting, like you know in past years, dust and Martin and the Ford pocket. But there's just way too many good midfielders in this year's crop, so I've had to bend my own rules a little bit. So I've gone for Steel Bonton, Pelly McRae across the middle. One of them, two of them, will have to cop the wing, but they're just too good not to get a spot on the field. Jack Steeles had number level season and for him to miss out two years in a row would be disgraceful in the rock gone. I think his last game got him over the line and the fact that they came first, I think they'll give it to him. Him Him Darcy in that new here pretty much all as good as each other, but the ladder position should get him across the line. And then I have got I hang on, I've made a mistake here. One second I've got wines and Oliver as a next two midfielders. Oculdn't really rate the wines pick, but considering his favorite for the Brownlow, I should put him in and I think he will get picked there just because of all the outside noise. Can't see him missing out. For Line half forward, Pertruark, are got one midfielder in there. I think he also deserves a spot. Being unreal got mccay, probably the worst common medallist since one thousand seven hundred and forty three when they were playing with a round ball or whatever it was, Jake Jack Stringer, Jake Stringer on the other half forward, flank full forward. Got One play here that didn't make the squad and that's Charlie Dixon, probably the most biased pick of all time, but I just think he's an absolute presence. Has Four men on him at all times and still leads the lead league every year and contested marks forty seven goals, gets like five hitouts to advantage of game. Inside for Hud fifty sets up goals. Just verse at Toyl key forward and then Hawkins, in my opinion, the best key for this season, and then toby grain and the other Ford pocket. And then to round out the interchange, I've just got four midfielders, so I've gone with parish. Actually I have put my luggage in there just to get one outside sort of player. So I got parish mccluggage, took Miller and color mills. I'll see. That's a that's a good one. Rowly, interested to hear whether you have very similar team to...

Piach or not. Alrighty, so I don't really have any starts and numbers or anything like that. I'm just going to say how I like him. So starting I'm also read it out the way it's on like the AFL at. You know how it goes right, and then the two followers down at the very and I'll do it that way. So I got the back pocket Tommy Stewart. Pretty Standard Selection that think you'll get another jacket on them there. Steven May at fullback and then leave a back pocket. I'm also tossing up between lever and a lear, but that combination of main lever this year is just being impenetrable for the days. They've conceded very few goals and yeah, obviously they've. They finished on top. Got The minor premious ship and can't leave him out. In the halfback line I've got two, my three guys, guys that weren't selecting the squad. They're the only two guys weren't selecting the squad I've got in here. So one halfback who is in the squad, Daniel Rich. I just don't understand that man's that man's boat, how he can keep like twenty meters further than everyone else in the comp except for the the cannon. It's unbelievable. Center half back, I've actually at Harris Andrews. Still don't know how he was snubs like man's just an absolute beast, you know. He plays lockdown in and intercepts, but is just so consistent as well at it and he's just an absolutely freak. And then on the other half back flank, I've got I don't know how this guy missed out as well, Aaron Hall. I absolutely love the man. Everyone says, you know, racks up the stats and all out blab bike he's a stat whatever, but look that's that's probably the case in most halfbacks. I think whole is one of the best. He's not the best kicks in the COMP if you want to go watch him play, he's I don't know how he does it, but just all these kids are perfectly waited beautifully. Lays out some beautiful darts. And the one thing I like about and not that did he does compared to most other halfbacks, is it just about all of his running is forward. You know, most of his kicks aren't, you know, to the like chipping around the back to the side like he gets his stats as he's running forward and attacking. So hence wise disposal efficiency might be a bit low, but I still think he's probably one of the best kicks in the calm and is got awesome pacity users as well. So Yeah, look, in my opinions, one of the best, if not the best, halfbacks in the game at the moment. The boys is just exquisite. If it's playing for a top eight team, he'd be a lot more well recognized. Going to the center now I've Yeah, look, I'm also sort of bent the rules here, but you know, got to do it. You got to do so. I Got Sammy Walsh on one wing, Jack mccrae on the other wing and Jack Steele in the center. I'm not I'm not copying this man missing out in the field for the second year in a row. He's going on if they if still if there's another saints robbery this week, I'm going to absolutely lose it. But anyways, those three, I mean they're absolutely awesome selections. Half forward line. PETRARKA would have loved to be putting the cart next to him. So I feel a bit better about myself. But unfortunately, yeah, that's that's a thing of the past and the twenty four a draft. Tommy Hawkins, sent a half forward obviously does a lot more than just kick goals of the cats. He's a huge player for them. DANEZ ORCA as well. I've got the other half forward flank. Just trying to get as many sort of genuine forward options in here as possible without playing too much midtime. But yeah, he's been awesome for them all. The most painful player to not having super coach this year for pockets. Toby Green. wellfare players, absolute beast. Could literally change a game. Just what just him could just change the game and hopefully they'll be the case this weekend because of some to see how father giants can go. Jakie stringer other forward pocket. Yeah, he's the package has delivered this year and hopefully can get them over the line this weekend. would be awesome to see it. Bombers, upset and Harry, but kite full for...

...yeah, probably agreed. It's probably the worst Coleman that we've seen in a while, but there's a coleman. UNTHELESS. It's going to have an awesome creer maxigurn in the ruck. Can't go past this man. Like this year was a lot tougher that newly and darcy were. Would definitely were thought, but for me it was just gone the pit to them. I mean he's work around the grounds, unbelievable, and then bombs some pelly and wines are going to be accompanying Jack Steele in that center around gone. So that's a pretty formidable formidable starting three in there on the bench. Clayton Oliver, absolute beast. I can't remember if you had it on not, Pilch, I don't know if you stunned them or not, but yeah, I didn't item. Okay, cool, I didn't remember you saying that, Rory Lad as well, second spot on the bench. Absolute animal. Tyler calls and Superman definitely the right name for Mr Krom took Miller as well filled on the bench and I was tossing up in this last one by went with Darcy Parrish. So yeah, that bench just sort of chokers full of midfielders. But you know, like I said, there's just way to me midfields pick this year. I mean Jacob Poper, come on, but yeah, I'll that's that's going to be the team I've got with. You know, obviously a lot of players. It was stiff Gothree, Dickson, nicknat lines, alier, obviously Salem and Dale, Jacob Waiting, and also buddy. But like, yeah, I don't know. I just think Hawkins of a car just did enough. That's that's the Tame I'm going to roll with, in my opinion. And Cooper Shaman stiff as well. My opinion, the car was about the sixth best key forward this season. But saying is you one the Coleman, you have to put him in. You just can't leave our common from the Australia just yeah, yeah, stiff, right, stiff, because I have but there I can the come back at that. I'll back it. Thanks for his thanks. All right, yeah, same orders, pilch. So my full back line. Actually haven't heard anyone talk about this blow all year, but he's somehow in my top ten in the voting and it's actually shutting her every single week. For the West Coast. He pretty much has the most effective kicks, the most rebound S, all those sort of stats that are halfback flankers should dominate in. He is one of the most consistent out of also great intercepting. I know he's calves and Hommy's native not the strong stuff at the moment, but he is gotten in there for that. Is Hairline. Well, it's like the big M mate, even though they're sponsored by Hungry Jack's. It is not looking good there. Bro It's he just seems to shake it off. To be honest. He's with the greatest respector Shannon shout if he's watching, showers his family, but shock and head. But doesn't mean he can't make the Australian side. Full back, I've got Tommy Stewart. Can't remember what game it was, but might have been the one way gary row and kick this the sealer after the siren but there was a game around that time of year and he was full like prime ranting it. And Yeah, I just love Tommy Stewart. Love you story. Love how he just sort of came from bar and head's footy and came through the vfls and all that good stuff. And then my other back pocket I've got Jordan Ridley. Then in the halfback line he was yeah, heard he missed down this tare. I actually have no idea who's in the squad. So but I did see put message that one. In Halfback Flank I've got Daniel Ridge. I actually think this year he's finally getting the plaudits he deserves. I think he's had a very underrated past five or six years. Yeah, as row he said, he can just kick the shit out of the ball, which is a underrated skill and footy. Someone who can kick it sixty years opposed to forty s pretty pretty large competitive advantage. It send a half back. I actually couldn't split these two. May or main leaver exact same amount of votes to me, pulled on the exact same amount of games, but I just went Stephen May. Not sure why his name was on...

...top in the order. So when with him, so excel has decided leave his fate, sadly. Then I've got Luke Ryan on the other one. Those who watched the podcast last year would know that my algorithm at absolutely frosts Luke Ryan. So he is in there as a like, I guess, the third tall defender bit more agile than most tall defenders going around him and Ridley can sort of share the smaller forwards than in the center. I've actually gone really strict this year on the wingers and the forwards. I've done some center bounce attendance research and made sure they like a ten lesson fifty percent to be in these positions. So one of my wings is Jack Lookocius. I think he was in my middle midyear. Australian side. Had to confirm with Rowe that he actually is a winger, but rogain the Green Lights, so happy to stick him in there. The other wing I've got human pluggage for me. Mentioned it a few months ago, but if there's a player I would like to have at the ball sixty out forwards leading all over the place, would be him, because I can assure you he'll hit one of the forwards on the chest. Then I've got liver in the middle of the center. I know that's a very rogue pick, but he was dominating the first half of the year and then, as me and piled talking about before he came on, are teams sort of started realizing that he was so pivotal to the dog success and he's started getting a lot more attention and has subsequently seen his and the team's form dwindle. Then in the Rock I've snubbed Maxi gone. I've got nick NAM Nui. He's just been out Shawn Darcy for me. So the Rackman from the Wester tearing it up at the moment. And then my rover is I got the bond and parish, my to Brownlow candidates. Then in the forward line, this one's row, but he actually missed more games miss less games and I thought but still doesn't deserve it. Didn't really play that well when he played it. Actually have dusty in my half ward flank. I think he picked up like fourteen votes, so you must have done all right. Sent half forward. Look at I really want to pay any attention to this bloke after what he did the other week. Genuine piece of shit. But can't deny his first six to eight weeks of the season was arguably the most dominant sixty eight week period we saw all season, and that is tailor Walker. Absolutely tore it up for the crows. And then my other half forward flank guy. He's not really a pure forward. He sort of depends week on week. He plays wing, he plays halfback flank, he does also play half forward flank. He's kicked four and three goals also in different games. Yeah, it is Jordan Dawson. Absolutely love the man. Got A few. I reckon you will get a few votes in the Brownlow this year. There were a couple games that you actually tore up. And then the full forward line got, in my opinion, a top five player in the competition. Toby Green. Talked about how much I love him in the past, but he's got to be there. There my full forwards, the Tomahawk, one of the most consistent tool forwards in the comp nowadays. And then the other Ford pocket was going to go to tooll forwards just went nut. Most teams have three. So the big challenge it still so got in to my team. Oh Yeah, he I love his vote. Get her in the whole side by a significant margin. But yeah, my algorithm hates at all forward, so I had to dig deep for that one, but he snuck in with eight votes. He's about ten in the port being f currently for me, but that's saying something than the Inter Change. I've got Jack Steel, Clayton, all of our Christian Pertruco, who can you know, spend some time forward for me as well. And then I thought I'd pick a defensive minded player, so I picked Jack Sebel, even though I don't know if he actually can defend. Honorable mentions got to go to Dane Z ORCO. I think he's someone who's been pretty overlooked this year. I think a lot of the BRISTAN players don't get as much attention as maybe they should. But moving in the last two years, he sort of tris transition from a guy who would do stints in the guts for...

...play forward to a genuine midfielder and he's I think he had his best year this year. I reckon then took obviously killed it. This year just missed out for me. SEWAN DARCY JUST MISSED OUT ROW. He's man Aaron Hall. Shout out to Braul Bent, for he's a shit kick. Disgraceful opinion. Broady, that's kick. Yeah, I love him as well, but he just missed out for me. And then, yeah, Jake Lever as I mentioned, between May and Lee, but it was a coin flip, you could say, why aren't they both in there? But the algoryth them needs luke crying to be in my Australian side. So you know, I've got to just listen to the algorithm. But yeah, that's my teams. Some weird selections in there. I actually have no idea how many of them made the squad. I'd be impressed if it's over fifty percent. But that is my Australian that is it's quite a few consensus picks the white too many, though that we all picked at the obvious candidates. Think Stewart got on all our teams than the bond. I think the truck, Oliver and still all made our teams. I think the rocks going to be really interesting. I agree with you guys are it's going to be Gorney, but I'm not necessarily sure if he deserves it. So definitely excited for Thursday. Going to be interested to see how our team stuck up against the experts. Well, they say they're experts, but as always said, they do give Morley Williams votes on the Brownlow, so not sure how well they know the game. But anyway, just a quick super coach chat before we preview the exciting upcoming finals. Week one. Rowley, you're really the only one of interest here, sadly, to me. In pilch. How your ranking actually was pretty good, I read in the group chat this morning. So what did you finish, Matt? How'd you go this weekend? I mean, compared to who do you came like two hundred. It wasn't that good, but I'll finish. Yeah, I I'm just trying to load it up now. Able to win one one of the leagues, which is Handy. Got A got a win in my cricket Sharks League, so I was good at dethroned one of the guys is one. It like straight from last two or three years, but finished one hundred and eighty three one. So inside a top case. I guess that's some lingually, yeah, could have been a lot better, but it was good to see your name. Super Coach. Mama, yeah, when it this year got on it because I think she was about to quit before the season started. So it's always good to see that financial I'd go out to, you know, a parent, because obviously got few kiss look after and all that. So I'm really good to see that happened. But yeah, not a bad weekend. Captain and teach. Nothing much else to say rather than can't wait to not have shy Bolton next year. But yeah, pretty MVP. The last week for the season was Jake Lloyd hundred and fifty four got my win over the line, so that was unbelievable from him as a unique so yeah, how much elseeds to be said? Yeah, that made peach. The season's been over for a while. I did not have a great weekend, but had to donuts, so wasn't expecting to do well. Lost the wooden spoon playoff, so came last in a League of ten, which isn't very good, but we move on. Not sure what I take away from this year. Had some shit injury luck. Realistically, I should just be more safe of my picks next year, but not sure if I will because it's kind of fun just picking Shit people pelage. Any takeaways from the armate? Also had some pretty shit injury luck, but probably just don't burn your trades by around nine and don't try it out Luke Parker at the by, because if you do, he'll go on to average a hundred and forty for the rest of the year. Definitely. Yeah, the other takeaways probably invest a bit more time into my rookie selection and I think I had to burn three trades of the start of the year just correcting that before price rises, which probably came back to buy me a little...

...bit, because that could have been helpful replacing some injured players. And probably need to stop picking like tall forwards and shit like that, because they just never do well, even though not having Kazitski that one week where he bloody tuned up hurt like hell. But yeah, like that's just someone who was never going to do well and super coach, so probably it just going to be a bit smart of a shit like that. But yeah, I was a good game good year. Looking forward to EPL and NFL fantasy, which I much preferred to super coach. With the greatest respect, might be just a saw loser here as someone who finished outside the top K but yeah, looking forward to those two seasons a bit more. And then we were addressed super coach next March, but that meets us into our first finals preview, which I'm really excited about. Four Games to an Adelaide too, and Tazi, never thought I'd say that heading into a final series. must say I'm absolutely shattered to hear that the buyers going to be between the PRELIMB and the final. I know it might be due to the fact that they still don't even know where it's going to be and stuff like that and they need time to prepare, but I think it's going to be a serious buzz kill. But anyway, well, at least we don't have the buy now short term satisfaction in lockdown weekend with no footy would have been that fun while we're still locked down here in Melbourne. But first game of the weekend PILCH's Mighty Port Adelaide power up against the beloved GE long cats. On this podcast at the Adelaide over port, of the favorites. The lines. Four and a half will start, wrote the unbiased opinion on the panel. Who are you backing here at the line? Just quickly. Oh, yeah, I am. I was disappointed first to hear an answer that buy happening before the gray. There will obviously be a buzz kill effect. However, does give the opportunity for anyone can cust to still play and also we should have the brown load between that period of time. So I guess there's something, but that's the end the day. Will Yeah, there will be a bit of that weird sort of gap, is what it is. If there's any chance of US getting out of lockdown it'll be in that period rather than, you know, this week coming up. So it's better to have as many as much food as we can in the short term. But basically, I know it's tough this one on my my philosophy going in is it the cats? I think we're going to win the whole thing because I think in a year where it's so much on certainty, it might be the team that's got the most experience that come out on top. So for that reason I'm like Gow the cats. I it wasn't the worst result. They'm actually losing because I think playing Brisbane's going to be pretty scary and I think no offense pilled funny pool. Still obviously a very vulnerable team just because of their record this year against top eight teams. Their win over they went over the dogs, was obviously very sort of emphatic. But it will be interesting to see how they play this weekend. They win, then credit to him, because I definitely deserve it, but at the moment I'm probably just going to go the cats. Yeah, I'm going to tip the cuts as well, just because I took the dogs last week and port one. So going to try and stick to that method. But peeled, I know you're walking on thin ice right now with your jins and anti jings beliefs, but if you care to indulge us in how you think this game would go, what you think the result will be? Any indication? Wink twice if you think tice. You dint potual in anything. What do you think about this game? Mate? Firstly that the last twenty seconds of that to long Melbourne game you would honestly think they taked it. It was that bizarre. But in terms of this game, I'll be tipping to long by probably not quite as much as the oseven grand final,...

...but like in that sort of in that sup now it's along and a type one, it's along in a tail one. Yeah, we are cracking, cracking contest. Yeah, I won't cracking test. I want interrogate further because I don't know if that's contest of the year. Actually I'm predicting. Yeah, I have to say a lot of games at the ADELAIDEO will seem to be good Games. So, especially prime time finals. I'm very excited for it. That means us into the first hazy game. Sadly for redols it's in Warnceston, so shout out. Don't know if he could get there anyway because he had soccer, but pretty relevant for those listening. Shout out to Redos. It is the Sydney Derby, though they called the battle of the bridge. Think Sydney of the favorites going into it. The lines eight and a half. Jesus. Actually have no idea here, row, what do you reckon? I don't need all all these games. I don't know. Yeah, I'm stuck. But which is great. But you know, everyone's saying toby green going to be huge. Facts, we're going to win it for them. Yeah, I think the five pound judoous is Ford wines and be huge, but Sydney have buddy. So Yeah, look, it could come down because I think Cala Mills is probably going to miss this game, or I'm short at the moment, but he might, and I think Kennedy's going to be coming off an injury. So whether Jutos can take advantage at the middle we interested to see. But I might just back the favorite in the Swan's just kiss of than that. I really don't know who's going to win this one. Yeah, pilch. Yeah, I'm very keene for these. Remain in three games. Not Keen at all for the first game. Probably would rather die and watch it. But so I'll be downing three bottles of wine. But Um, this is actually the easiest game to tip for me. I think the swannies are miles better team than the giants. Last time the giants played in Taz, I believe they drew with North Melbourne and just played like absolute shits. I don't think they like the actually, I don't know if it was the same ground, but they don't like it down in Tazi. So if the Swan's rock up, I think they take this by six goals. So them at the line. Yeah, fair enough. Yeah, this is to fun. I'll be going for the giant. Actually, I don't care. I like both of them. I'll probably going for the giants. But yeah, if if Sydney beat Goldco's by twenty points, I think I would tip the giants. But the way the Sydney Schwe's disposed of somewhat talented side in the sun's so emphatically, I think I'm gonna have to chip them. I don't know if I want to, but yeah, hopefully buddy doesn't kick like ten. Actually, I don't know. That's kind of green Chee from me, but U he is. I could see him kicking twenty is Dicking, sucking that Sammy tail and me absolute wet my our twenty two under twenty two full back. Actually, I don't even know if he was in your team, but Saturday night prime time. Actually, I'm assuming it's Saturday because I think the doggies game Sunday, but I'm guessing there is. Yeah, okay, Beautiful Melbourne Brisbane to my prize. It's to the Adelaide ovil. Had No idea before writing this segment up. Melbourne head into it. Favorites line is six and a half pilch. Are you back in your beloved Melbourne or Your Beloved Brisbane, mate? Yeah, it looks enough with the beloved calls, mate, but both, I like both face teams in Adelaide, but I'm just gonna have to go to Melbourne. At the line as well. Yeah, you're very nice. Very interesting location, mate, at the moment. What's going on there? It's an important factor. Yeah, it's true. I've never heard talked about it. You're froth on it, but it actually is an interesting point. I never really factored in. But, like ground size, is legit matter. But,...

Rowley, who you back in here at the moment? Melbourne's probably only team I would have that would beat the lines in this final series. I'm going to back Melbourne, I think, to see me an awesome game. But yeah, I think I email his defense will be too good for Brisbane's attack and I think nold will be able to get enough goals to win this one. Yeah, I'm with you boys, clean and sweet back in a Melbourne. If it was at the Gabatoire, probably go brisbane, but any other ground in Australia I'll be taking the days. I still think the lines our home ground bullies as well. Not sure. Not sure if I'm a believer in them away from home at any any ground, to be honest. Yeah, actually don't hate that Theo. But Sunday, first Sunday final in a while. Not sure when the last one was, but I read that somewhere. First one in a while, maybe, since like the pre finals by or something. Read that the other day. Dog. He's playing the bombers in Launceston once again. How can the Launceston be hosting to finals? What's the world come to? DOUGI's line is ten and a half they I hope these games are all close because they leg it seem like they're all going to be tight. They really are? You backing in the dog used to get the job done. I'm back in the bombs with this one. I think this is one upset. I reckon will happen. I'm yeah, I'm pretty good. The dogs to go out straight away. I reckon the firepower of essence forward line's going to be too much. You know, Peter Right could kick a bag. You Know Jake Stringer, tip, of all these blokes stick can they can do a lot. So, yeah, I think without Bruce, I know he's obviously like, you know, not the best, but obviously he's had a very good year bruce, but you know he's not like an actually, no, sorry, tipp is not playing. I don't know I said that, but obviously bruce is not like a you know, a super style. The competition, but I think he's really important to their lineup. It takes a lot of ease off Norton shoulders. So one of the most called seconds too. But without him, we saw it happened in the weekend. They like apart from the first few minutes of the game, they lack an ability to score. So yeah, I'm going to be back in the bonds here. I can they going to be too good. Yeah, fair enough, for sure. The doggies played in launcest in like two weeks ago against Hawthorne, but and did not go well. So that's going to be interesting. I'm actually going to back the doggies head to head Essen and at the line. I think a line of tender has bit generous, but pill chew, you back in in here. Yeah, this from me, aside from the first game, is very hard to tip. But I can see an outcome. We're like bottom pelly and all that. Just come out with an absolute vendetta and they just they hit their their earlier, earlier season form. And also we all know what Essen and are like in finals. You know, they still finish the season like eleven and eleven or whatever. So they're not, they're not. I wouldn't be calling them a good team. So I could say the dogs also winning by eighty points, and for that reason I'll be taking the dogs. Yeah, fair enough. It would be cool to see us win, but at the same time they've probably, I can definitely say them, a nice not sure if I can handle the absolute shit talk that will cop from our mate. So yeah, kind of hope the dogs get up gracious back to paint out tails and dolls. But yeah, and I that's it. That's it for another week of the on the wall Potty, the great mid the Great Australian special, as I mentioned at the start, the flagship show of the Potty, and then talk dribble around it. Pretty much excited for all four games. Hopefully I'm going to actually watch some this weekend because I have successfully run an AFEL podcast all season and have hardly watched any for you. But, as I'm sure you...

...are all where by my Australian team. But yeah, hoping it's all good. Go Port I guess don't have to say go saints this week unless we're talking about on the sesh or something, but mate Hatterson crouch will be on the sess. There's probably still going from the other night for the other night, but they are don't know I got on them, like I don't know where they were, but like, if these teams were in bubbles like elsewhere, like I just would not be coming back to Melbourne. But Anyway, yeah, I don't know where they've been, but PILCH, hopeful, get up, mate. Don't want to say anything further. Don't on a jink set. But yeah, thanks for joining me here again. Boys, thanks bad. Well, be back next week with a big and bad episode. What the fuck am I all again? And they can bad, they can juicy. But yeah, Thursday NFL awards. Then we are treated with the final. So yet thanks for joining us and we'll catch you next week. But we.
