"Avoid Odell Beckham Jr??" NFL Fantasy Wide Receivers (Avoid, High Upside, High Floor) - Episode 59

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Hamish is joined by the NFL Fantasy crew, James and Pilch, to discuss the remaining Wide Receivers not discussed in the top 15 episode. The lads discuss players with high potential, high floors in scoring, and label some players with the avoid tag.

Cheese. He settle. Oh,welcome back to the on the wall party. This is episode fifty nine of theshow and we are back the NFL fantasy crew. We're back. I'mlooking like a Sushi chef today, so just bear with me. They're gonefor the Stewart broad like but been done up. But I'm joining with theNFL experts. When it comes to fantasy, it's hard to find two blocks whoknow more about the game. We're finishing off a set of six fantasyat theories where we go through we've gone through the QB's, the QB Rouffi's, the running backs are running back rough he's and the wide receivers. Sotoday we're doing the wide receiver RUFFI. So we're once again talking about whohas the highest floor, who has the highest ceiling, who has who youshould avoid? So Yeah, without further ag are actually know you. Wewant to talk about this first. Leonard Fournett has been announced that he isagreed in principle to joining the Tampa Bay buccaneer. So basically both sides ofthe party have agreed to it. They've just gotta agree to the small, finer details of the contracts. I'm sure that will be announced in the nextcouple hours or days, but it's pretty much get locked in right now.But the question is, in terms of NFL fantasy, is that good orbad for for net curtis? Well, I know Pillich doesn't think it was. That could but I think it's really good, to be honest, becauseI feel like he might not necessarily get as many like catches, just consideringthey got two pretty elite receivers and two really good tie ends, but Ifeel like he's going to get plenty of opportunity to run run the bowl.I feel like he suits the team really well. They come didn't the kindof a bit of grunt in the the offense that the real flashy offense. So now they've got to be grunt in Fornet, who I personally think soreal good talent and someone who can really show off his talent at the bucks. But also I feel like he's productivity and efficiency in terms of breaking tackles, in terms of having open run to also increase. And Yeah, Ifeel like he's going to rack up plenty of the yards there as a consequencein Um should be another thousand plus yard season for four now and I stillfeel like he will get catches, though, just because Rai's obviously now what fortysomething or in these forty, so he's not necessarily to be able tosling shot at sixty five yards. So you know he's going to need someoneto throw too short and for net could obviously catch and and break off thelines there. So I feel like perfect, perfect for the bucks and perfect forfun as well. Each I know you have a contrasting opinion. Sowhy do you think it's actually a bad move for the great man? Well, I agree that the efficiency will probably go up a little bit and you'lldefinitely get more touchdowns. Only three touchdowns last year on the DAGS. Butthe volume just isn't going to be there. He's competing with three other decent runningbacks, especially Ronald Jones, and they've just drafted the rookie Ka ShawnVaughan and brought in Leshan McCoy. And in the passing game the buccaneers throwof the running back spot way less than the jags did and we don't evenknow if he's going to have a threedown roll there. So I'm just I'mavoiding him based on all that. Just don't think he'll get anywhere there asmuch volume. Yeah, I think we had him. I think he justmissed out top fifteen. I think he was sixteen and now running back rankings, but that was a couple weeks now, so it's probably change. But forme I think he's dropped out of so now we've got a ten menleague to running back. So for me I think he's dropped out of startercontention. So with him in sixteen would have said he was like a justjust an army too, but now I'd say he's a bench option at best. I just think, as Pilch said, the volume is going to decrease alot. I was looking at some of the Tampa Bay lads starts lastyear and McCoy and I think I don't know how to pronounce his name butI think it's like Oganwali or something. I could have absolutely butchered that, but they both got like thirty to forty recept receptions in the receiving game andthen Ronald Jones and McCoy both ran quite a lot. So and then obviouslythey drafted K sewn bourn. So yeah, I think it's going to be partof a committee and I with committees. Always a bit scared because I gota bit scarred from Damian Williams last year at the chiefs. So Iprobably would steer clear. And also the...

...main reason I would steer clear isI think he's ATP will be higher than it should. He should be.So I don't think it's necessarily the worst option. Like if we just cameinto it fresh, clean slate, I'd say, yeah, it's a goodbench option. He has higher upside with td potential and stuff like that.Yeah, it's n saying because he's a known name. He did well lastyear. I think he will be going higher than he probably should be now. So that's probably why I won't be touching him. But yeah, Ithink I think he could be potentially in my opinion, because obviously I thinkit's should be completely different to what I see. But in my opinion Ifeel like it could be potentially the best running back to on the board.I feel like obviously you said there's gonna be plenty of touchdowns now, well, relatively last year, for sure, but even then, like he's averagingfour point three yards last year and we're talking he has mint you with yourquarterback. So we where's the defensive line, even like looking at me and shoethat they're always going for fall. Now he's averaging four point three yards. So let's say he's productivity halves. Or sorry, sir, he's he'soutput Harts, but he's productivity. Should like dramatically increase right. But talking, apparently, I think any second year Alsu he was averaging eight point somethingyards. Like he's clearly got some legs on him and he's fast as that. I'm happy. We'll see. I don't really got the college starts cominginto the conversation, but fair enough. And he's moving to a lot betterline. Last year I think Jacksonville were ranked twenty six and temple a ranklike seven. So that's very good for him, but I guess we'll seehow that plays out. So yeah, we'll get into our wide receivers now. Will Stop. I'm sure you're waiting on the edge of your seat forthis one. So we'll start with the floor. I was saying to theso the people with the highest floor outside our top fifteen. Are saying tothe FELLAS. This is probably the hardest one for me because I was gettingthere was quite a few guys who they have a high floor, but theyhave a really low ceiling. So you know, I think they're almost anavoid but we've chucked them in. We've chucked them in the floor. Sofirst off, Pilch, who do you want to lead us off with?Me Floor wide receivers? Yeah, it. I'll kick it off with our TylerLockett from Seattle seahawks. I just think we know. We know whatwe're going to get from him. He's on. He's on arguably a topthree offense in the Gotti in the NFL, top three offense in the NFL,and he's he's been consistent last years. Over a thousand yards. He'll getthe volume and the the red zone work required to easily be a toptwenty, top twenty five wide receiver. So I think he's very safe. But you're not going to see him like pushing to the top ten or anythinglike that. Yeah, I know we don't want to go from like floorto avoid to see that we want to keep a kind of structure. Butsince you brought him up, I've actually got this guy in my avoid section. I was saying I had I found it tough to distinguish between a voidand floor, but it's purely because I think he'll be getting drafted too highfor what he should be, because he at the moment his atpas twenty one. Last season he was twenty two and he in terms of average and heended up the second half the season he was twenty nine. And I thinkall of us will have DK metcalf in our ceiling section. He is expectedto break out pretty well. So for me the fact that he's getting takenat twenty one is a bit of a turnoff. So that's why I hadhim in my void. But I can see the argument fohom also being inthe floor because he's Guarante's on a good team with great qub. He's guaranteedreceptions and targets and, as you said, they're probably going to score quite a, quite a lot again this year, so he will probably be a solidtd target again. I've got it. I've got him as my wide receivereighteen at the moment, so I'm really high on him above the average. Punt are interesting, Kurt. Have you got anything to say? Unlockit or do you want to go to a new man in your floor section? I was actually contemplatement locking my floor. So so well, I don't peeledit. All right, Kurt. Who Do you want to mention nextfor the floor? I'M gonna go shark as my first. Yeah, yeah, it's really my number one man actually for this one. Obviously he's ahe's an elite talent. He's your plenty of potential there. But I'm sorry, what is their qb like? He can't throw past twenty yards, likeI don't understand how he's in in the...

NFL. He's just may that's stick. I don't know what the Jake. I seriously don't know what the Jakuis a doing. Like they're the tank of they're going to see. They'vecoverage of Leonard Fournette. They it's just the whole things at the Barkle andthey've got an elite wide receiver talent in shark and they're seriously wasting him withmeet you as they're keep me. So yeah, he's a massive, massiveflaw for me, just because me and she just might not be able toget out the hands in time and shark just may not have any production asa result. So yeah, huge, huge for for me. Yeah,I think shark is a great example for the floor section. He's pretty muchguaranteed seven plus reception targets a game. He's going to be their number oneman. He probably will copy a little bit more coverage this year. Ithink quarterbacks might pay a bit more attention, but I think he showed last yearis pretty handy at the game. He's atpas twenty three as well,so it's below where he finished last year in terms of average, which isalways a good sign. And he's only young. I think last year mighthave been his second or third season, so natural progression, obviously. Andyes, next up. You guys might have this bloke in your avoid, because I know one of you, maybe both of you, aren't too hoton him. I think it's, I don't know, yeah, piell chattingme out of a number twenty five in your list. It's Keenan Allen. For me, similar to chat shark. Is a chalk or shark? It'sgot to be chark, but it's just better to say DJ Shark. Butyeah, anyway, Keenan Allen. I think this is just a stand. It's like Allen Robinson. It's like chalk, those not so great offenses with theaverage cube. I feel like the number one wide receiver often benefits fromthat and last year he dominated. Well, he's actually dominated the last three years. He's been third in two thousand and Seventeen, eleven and two thousandand eighteen, eight and two thousand and nineteen, and this year they're comingin with Tyra Taylor and Justin Herbert. So I think he's going to betheir number one target again and he's going to be the bailout option a lot, I think. Yeah, Mike Williams is their wide receiver to I'm don'tthink they'll go to him too often. He's more a down field target.I think he had the highest average yards perception last year. So keenan Allen'sgoing to be that short target they're going to want to hit up, youknow, ten yards or so, but they're just going to throw it tohim heaps and he's ATP's eighteen, which I think like. I'm not sayingthat's a steel like. I don't think he'll be top ten or anything, but I think like I don't think the punters are too hot on him.So I think he's a pretty solid maybe if you get like Tyre kills, your are be one. I think Keenan Allen would be a nice complimentary Rbe too to go next to him because he'll probably just be solid every week. But yeah, thoughts on Keenan Allen? I know pilled, you didn't writehim too early. I'm pretty low in him, but I'm not avoidingand he's definitely fits into the floor category, just bolt targets for me. Forme, though, it's it's kind of hopkins kind of thing where Ifeel like we could say this every single year about him and somehow he juststill whips out numbers attractive for a fantasy player. Yeah, so I can'tsee why it's not going to be a top twenty wide receiver yet again. After all, Phil Rivers, it's probably just as good as Tyron Taylor lastyear. Or peech, by the way, did you agree with Dj Chark orYep, yeah, I like chark. Yeah, Peach. Who else youbringing up to this section? Another block that fits into the poor offense, poor cub situation. Terry McLaren. He's he was clearly the most talentedrookie wide receiver in the NFL last season, like it wasn't even close. Heled the entire NFL in contested catch catch rate. Kentucky marks in ThaiNfl he's he runs a thirty five and he's like he's ripped and massive ourbodies, all the cornerbacks. But he's just a lock for an insane amountof targets because obviously the Redskins, all they'll have to do is throw. They're going to be behind in every single match and he's got absolutely no competitionin that offense. So I mean, even if Haskins sucks, if he'sgetting a hundred fifty targets and he's a he's a beast of a talent. He's he's a lock for a good average and I've got him. He's mycurrent wide receiver seventeen. So I think I'm pretty high on him. Yeah, he's ATP is twenty five. ATP is where he's being drafted on average. For those at home, not sure...

...why ATP means, but Um,yeah, I won't lie. I have in the ceiling section, but lookingback on it, he's probably more a flaw. But if you're a bitof floor are he's got both. If it's that's the ultimate situation, isn'tit? Because the thing is I was thinking, I'm probably more thinking inthe future, like not necessarily this year. That's probably what corrupted my decision making. But like if Dwyanne Haskins comes out looks like a new man, they've got a new coach. Terry McLaren's probably going to be the first guyto benefit from that because he's clearly the best player on that offense. Soyeah, I thought there was a chance there that he could waited to come. Last year came finished twenty nine. I thought there was a chance hecould jump right up into that top fifteen. But let's be real, has skins. Although he's a talent, he's probably not going to come out andbeast like straightaway anyway. So that's probably more a long term thought process forme. But yeah, I think flaws probably more appropriate than ceiling. Curtis, who else are you rolling with? This another one where it could bea big ceiling. But also for me there's a great chance of being afor and I Smith Shoester in my opinion law last year. INTRO. I'mjust I kind of yesterday I was watching a bit of NFL. I'm highliesand I was just watching a Bismiss shuster and even though obviously ruteoff is anabsolute dart of a qb, he just wasn't opened the whole time when he'son the number one cornerback and he's got safeties around him as well, hejust wasn't open, and I'm worried, even though this year's your Roethlisberger,as is is qb, which is a dramatic improvement relative to Rudolph's proper Rudolf, who again probably shouldn't be an nfl let's be honest. Yeah, Idon't know if he's going to be open, like obviously what probably one of thebest wide receiver twos out there, but as a wide receiver one,I'm not fully convinced by him, and so I'm not necessarily sure whether Iwould want him as my wide receiver one or even two. I'm just beat. I'm not sure if the production is going to be there. So they'retherefore, I think he's got a big floor in him, I'll be honest, sure about because he's driving last years. I don't know how he has ahigh floor like. I guess he's going to be their main man andBig Ben's coming back, but for me is kind of a sort of blokewho is just unpredictable. Like I agree with you that I wouldn't want todraft them at all. To be honest, I think it's being taken way toohigh. Yeah, but I see. That's why I'm saying he's a big, big floor, because I can see him be drafted reasonably early again, like where he's like considered wide receiver one and draft is wide receiver oneand he just produces something that should be on your bench. Yeah, he'sa TPS fifteen. My Mom's just done our ankle outside. He's eight ifhe's fifteen. And Yeah, I don't know. I think he's been takenaway too highly. Peelch, do you think Juju should be in the conversationto be a starting wide receiver in a ten man league or, yeah, borderline wide receiver to not a wide receiver one? I think I've I hadhim quite high last time we were on the air waves, but I've movedhim down because there's been he hasn't been copying the best reports out of trainingcamp. Apparently apparently struggling a bit out there. So I'm getting a bitworried about him. Yeah, and they've got a few other guys expected tojump up a little bit this year. So, yeah, I don't know, because the thing is there's plenty of fish in the sea. It's notlike you've got four blocks to choose from. So I don't know why anyone wouldrisk juju Smith shooster is a wide receiver to or even if like I'mhonestly just not pick him out in any circumstance. But for me he doeshave a bit of a ceiling if he just comes out like two thousand andeighteen. So I guess there's argument far upside with jujuice. So maybe he'sa good bench or flex option. But yeah, definitely wouldn't pick him asup as a starter. Maybe a bit more of a rogue one for abit floor. Well, I've got like ten down for each thing. I'mobviously not going to read them out. I'll go jamison crowder. He's notthe most glamorous selection, but he's ATP is forty six, which I thinkis a bit of a robbery. Last year he ended up thirty five andin the second half of last year he was twenty four. So the firsthalf they had all that issue with Donald out for a month with Mono LukeFolk Played Trevor Simey and did his leg, but when Donald came back for thesecond half. He was twenty four in the camp. He was justgetting, like, you know, bulk targets every game. So for mehe is the perfect situation where like he...

...doesn't have a high floor at all. He's not going to come out and be a top fifteen wide receiver, but I think he's pretty locked into be like a top thirty, top thirtyfive. So in a huge league, if you maybe have three wide receiversor to wide receivers in a flex and you just want someone who you knowis going to pump out decent scores each week, I think crowd is you, man, because I think forty six is an ATP's a bit stiff andI think if he was on the other another team, not a mythical teamlike the jets, I think you'd be getting taken a lot higher. So, yeah, here's me. He's one of the rogue ones I've got.Have you boys got any rogue shouts? I must say I do like thatone. I've got a I've got another one who's just being completely disrespected byby what he's ATPS, and that's Julian Edelman. He Yeah, yeah,as well. Every year he pumps out of thousand yards and he just heget I think he was fourth only behind Julio, Michael Thomas and a robintargets last season. Brady leaving is a big blow for him. But Newton, if Newton's going to be throwing anywhere, it's most likely going to be shortones into the slot, which is right where Edelman is. So Istill think he'll he'll be a great a great pick up. Yeah, I'mnot really sure what the public thinking on this one. He was ninth lastyear and now he's atps thirty three. So I'm not really sure where atwenty four position drop is coming from like that. Is like twenty four positions. That's probably an average of like three decreasing like that's would be rare footy. He came twelve and two thousand and eighteen as well. He's been goodthe last like five years pretty much, and I think he's and also theydon't really have anyone else. I know Pillach we talked earlier in the season, offseason about in the Kiel Harry potentially being a breakout opportunity. But muhammadsnew I think. I think Curtish, you might mention him later, butI think there's rumors he's going to get traded away. They just don't havemany options at all. So I think Philip Door said or something went toSeattle. Yeah, so I don't know what the public thinking with Edelman.Like I have to admit he's not the most glamorous pick. They've got aunusual boarterback situation at the moment. They look like they're going to be runningit a lot more this year. But yeah, Adleman, I think thirtythree is ATP that's disgusting because I think he'll be pumping out, you know, fourteen to eighteen every single week, if not higher than that. SoI like him. Curtis, if you got any rope ones? Nah,I'm pretty much done with the floorst do you know? Honest, I didn'thave too many or I'll just I won't go through them fully. But theother guys I will want to mention, I think Javis Landry. I don'tthink he's the greatest selection this year with Austin Hooper coming in and Beckham expectedto bounce back, but I think he'll be pretty decent as always, becausehe's kind of bakers go to. I think Tyler Boyd I know Aj Greencould will be playing this year. John Ross might come back from injury, but I think, as I was talking about with Keenan Allen, when you'vegot a rookie quarterback or a quarterback that's not that good, they often justlook at the number one target and just smack it to him all the time, and I think Tyler Boyd could be that man. For Joe Burrow,I'll Sean Jeffrey. Once again, I don't think he's a great pick up, but he's at p sixty four and that man is an absolute like consistentmachine. He's average seven to eight targets for the last seven seasons, likeseven to eight a game. So for that to be going at ATP ofsixty four, if he can stay on the park. I know they're broughtin jail and Riga, but I think he will be seeing a lot offooty and would beer steal late, late in the draft off the waivers. And two more. Don't to go into it too much, but Christian Kirk. I Know Hopkins has come in, but they're going to be scoring alot of points and he was kind of Kyla's go to men, especially inthe second half of last year, and he gets a lot of targets andthen hunter Renfro, that have a rogue one, given the loss Vegas widereceiver situation is very confusing. They've got had henry rugs drafted in, theypicked up Jason Witten in the offseason, they brought in Nelson Algal Law.But I think Hunter Renfro, I think he's going to stand out this year, is their wide receiver one. In the last six games last year hehad five plus targets and each one, and in the last two he hadnine in each and he is going at the average draft position of sixty five. So I think he could be a steal late in the draft once againoff the waivers. So I think he's going to watch out. And itwas his rookie year last year, so natural progression should see him improve. But yeah, right, the spicy. The spicy category now fellas ceiling.Curtis, who's your number one man for this category? My number one man, and probably all your number one man...

...as well, is dk metcalf hugeChoo chilling for me, has all the physical attributes to be an elite receiver. showed it last year. I'll he's tall, he's quickly, strong,he's got good hands in him. He was racking up points last year relativeto being a rookie, and I can really see him collecting more this year. And obviously the seahawks are powerhouse of the NFL and Deek Deka this yearI think it's going to be a crucial part of that and so huge chillingon him because he could end up being probably there. He could potentially betheir wide receiver one and be collecting plenty of points and plenty of receptions thisyear as a result. Yeah, pilge, do you like dk? Yea.Yeah, he's definitely he's definitely got a high ceiling. I've got himslightly lower than lock it, but he's definitely the ceiling pick out of thetwo. Yeah, he's a hundred percent got a higher ceiling. The onlything that concerns me a little bit with him is he's very hot. Sohe's ATP's actually not that like. There's not much value in it. He'sgoing at twenty two at the moment and last year he finished the whole seasonin forty one. So twenty two like it'll be. I'll be impressed ifhe is in the top twenty two this season to be honest. But Yep, high scoring team. You know, he's just a beast. Really don'treally need to say much more. Curtis said at all. But yeah,he's an obvious one. Another guy who I think is an obvious one aJ brown. On him he in total last year he was the thirtieth butin the second half he was eight. So Mark's Mariota was dogging and basicallyand then tanners came in took a liking to him once again. He's atP sixteen, so not ridiculous value in the pick, but I think hecan definitely be a top fifteen wide receiver. It's it was his rookie year lastyear, so it's his second season, so natural progression. They're the onlymaybe question mark with Aj Brown is that, well, the whole Tennesseeteam really is that. You could question whether it's just a flukey six weeks, but I think tannehill his like I keep saying, he's a limited quarterback. So I think a J Brown will continuously be his main target and thenthey'll obviously run it up with Derrick Henry. He's a big dude. Aj Brown, so he's a scoring threat, he's downfield threat as well, hescored a few big it's called a couple big touchdowns. I think I rememberone that was like seventy yards or something. So I really like a J Brownpilch. Yeah, I love a j Brown as well, and he'spretty much in a Davante Adams type scenario now. Corey Davis is just hada season ending injury. So it he is the only weapon they've got inthe passing game and his yards after the carry numbers were massive, as youtouched on. I had them in fifteen. That's yeah, he's actually my fordennow. So yeah, I love him. Another one for me isare another rookie from last season, Hollywood Brown. He was the here.Well, firstly he's the only he's the only weapon on the Ravens team inthe passing game and they're literally like Andrews show. Some sorrys only wide receiver, only wetten sever and they arguably the best offense in the entire NFL.Last season as a rookie, he only played fifty percent snaps because he wasa rookie. This season that's going to be s s and the breakout isjust set to occur and he's in an unreal scenario. So he could honestlygo huge and like yeah, huge touchdown potential to yeah, once again,I keep saying this, but my concern with him is he's a TPS twentyeight. So yeah, it'd be personally shocked if you finished above twenty eight. It's getting higher and higher. Yeah, last year he finished forty nine andthe second after the year is sixty. So I'll be honest, I've gothim in my avoids section just because I think he's a little bit overratedfor what he's going to bring to your team, but he's definitely selling witha huge ceiling. Curtis, do you rate the Hollywood Brown call or you'renot back in it? Oh No, he's a big hitting miss for mejust because obviously bottom or going to be great, but I don't know,I'm big concerned. Well, he was injured part of last year, tobe honest, so I don't know's it's. He's secondary this year, I thinkso. Yeah, I feel like that's there's potential there for him torack up point but I don't think I would draft him. I think Iwould see him on the wave. Is Bit like Wakins last year. Lethim, let him have a week or...

...two in the waivers and see seehow that production is and then maybe pick him up and chuck him on yourbench. There might he's not going to be on the way as well. He's a Tepe's twenty eight, so you'll be lucky as he was there.knows. PICE, who knows? I say he was the first receiver off. I'm doing a Curtis College argument here, but he was the first receiver offthe board in that draft and that's the prop thing. Laugh all them. So he's clearly he's clearly got the talent to make me allege a brown. Yeah, metcalf, mccalf would have been first, though he was intothe whole of that year. Yeah, while the right. Yeah, soMarquis Brown, like he's the definition of ceiling. So don't really know whyI don't have him in there, but for me it's probably just one thatI don't want to get sucked into taking on draft night. Curtis, whoelse? If you got the ceiling section, rudely, I have in my ceilingsection, which I know he was in our top fifteen. So Iknow you guys probably won't be copied, but now it's I feel like he'sgot lots of potential with this year to to really increase his fanishy scoring.Last year he will. The last two years he obviously thirty in a league. This year he's been an upward to direct trajectory. Sorry, Um andI can only see it being the same this year. That really bolsted theiroffense Atlanta. That really try to make sure there's a bit more of spread, which should hopefully open up the floor bit more for Julio Jones. AndI'm really and so I think we might see really and Julia have a bitmore production of receptions. Bur So. I think that they might actually relyand really a bit more this year, just because now he's got bit moreexperience in him that I have to solely rely on Julio Gino kind of carrythat offense through to the to the end zone, but I feel like hereally has a high ceiling to put out plenty of t d's and plenty offantasy points this year. Yeah, I bout that cause. Well, forthis is one I'm just going to throw it out there. Boys, whatare we thinking? Odell Beckham, I've got him in the ceiling section, but he could just as easily be in the avoid section. For me hefinished last year thirty two, but in two thousand and eighteen he was seventh. Is a bit of a star of the League. However, the thingthat puts me off with him is ATP is twelve and for me I don'tknow if he's well wide receiver to let alone like. Yeah, I don'tknow if he's worthy of the twelve man off the board. So for meis equally ceiling and avoid for those two reasons. But yeah, he Icould definitely see him bouncing back this year and being a top twenty wide receiver. But the thing that concerns me is they've got Javis, Landry, Backhamand Joe Ku hunt, Chub and hooper. I don't really know if you canlike. I think it will be shared around too much for any ofthem except job to be absolute beast like. I think there's going to be avery large spread there. So that's another thing that worries me. But, Curtis, what do you think of Beckham? Would you have him ina void or did back him in? I back him in highly, Ithink. If I remember my wide receiver and Kings, I think I actuallymight have had him ten the Animal, eleven eleven. So yeah, Iactually I as a huge healing for him this year to where they rely onhim as that genuine wide receiver one and Landry's wide receiver to. But insaying that, you're riders also be avoid floor with him because he he couldbe an absolute dart again where he's taken as a wide receiver one or ahigh wide receiver to and he doesn't have the production. Purely be close. They're their offense is stacked, but in the end it's I think it's allgoing to rely on Mayfield and whether Mayfield has it as a good season ornot. Be Mayfield has a good season, you'd expect Landry and jokey and o'dellto have good season as as well, but we will have to n see. Yeah, pilge, what do you think that can yeah, Imean he's obviously got the ceiling because of what he's done in the past, but he's in my void category just because he's going you just going way toohigh for me for the reasons that you stated before. Too much competition, right, pilch, and it who else you bring into the table? Yeah, we were so many for this one. We were touching on the Houston ladsbefore the before we got on will fuller. I'm not I'm not necessarilyhigh on will full I just think he is pretty much the definition of aceiling. Mean we've seen him chuck up fifty seven points in one game andnow Hopkins is gone, so that's a hundred fifty targets ready to be spreadaround that offense. So I mean,...

...if he stays fit he could copa lot of those and go big, but he's also extremely risky. SoI'm not really I'm only taking him if I've got some solid wide receivers alreadyin my team. I think he is awesome bench option, though. Yeah, him. The main things health, though. Like last year he waslegit going into every game questionable. He's ATP's thirty four. So I don'tthink that's too high. I think it's just on the borderline of yeah, maybe leave it, but if you've got your two wide receivers and maybe afeasible flex option, then I think full is not a bad fourth wide receiverto put into your side. I know, Curtis, you have different opinions, but I've also got fuller in my ceiling and another Houston boy. I'vegot my ceiling. I've got brandon cooks. Once again I probably wouldn't go nearand he's got a ATP of thirty five and he's just such an unknownquantity of this stage, like probably another guy wouldn't go for unless it wason my bench. But Um, in two thousand and eighteen he was theeighteen best wide receiver, so that was a different team. But he wasdealing with cup and woods for tight will not cut a year really because hedid his acl but he was dealing with those fellas for targets and now he'smoving to Houston once again there's going to be targets spread around. But interms of pedigree he's probably the number one man out of the for definitely abovestills, definitely above Cobb and then fuller in him a completely different types ofwide receivers. So who knows, he could bounce back, he could turninto the Hopkins for Watson. He could, you know, just pump out fifteen, sixteen a game. So I think he's a spice of a littleoption, especially for the bench, but I don't have too much faith inhim. But Curtis, why are you not too keen on the Houston Fellas? Yeah, I had both full I and cook, him by voice actionand full will both of them. I found I had cook part of lastyear and for both of them that is highly inconsistent. Like you're gonna youwill have Games where they whip that high twenties, but they're going to havesome games where they're going to whip out ten. And frankly, if whenyou're when you're in fantasy, I feel like you really looking for someone who'syou can be consistent and just give you some consistency through week in week outin terms of points. And Yeah, they might be great for something thatfor like a week in maybe off the wave. Is if they're on thewave. Is a doubt that will be, but they you're right, they couldbe a good bench option. But yeah, I think both of yousaid it the the ORSO someone you probably just wouldn't want to drift just becauseyou just don't know what you're going to get and you wouldn't want to beput in a situation where they your wide receiver to because of an injury tosomeone else and you're having someone who's we've been out ten or seven one weekbecause they're just inconsistent, but also because I think they've got to what threethree headed wide receiver call now even for yeah, so, I mean theproduction is going to be really spread around between them. So it just addsthe inconsistency that's going to play plague their wide receivers, I think. Yeah, there's rumors on the street. Put My you know you next to thewall, but apparently Kenny stills might be getting traded before the season starts. So I read an article saying like ten people most likely be trade and hewas in there. I think just given the situation, it will probably seehim as the wide receiver for and he's probably a little bit too good forthat. Well, maybe not too good, but like no one wants to justrot in the wide receiver for position for any team. So that couldalso spice up fuller and cooks. But yeah, I'm a hundred percent agreewith you that point. If your starter gets injured, that's actually a verygood point. I didn't really think of that, to be honest. PILCH. Who else you bringing to the ceiling table? All Right, a Jbrand was my main man, so I'm all out of the ones I've goneinto depth for. But I mean just blokes blocks it's been a common thing, but bloke's going into their second or third year with that sort of upside, whether they'll just they could turn into a beast. And he rookies. That fancy your pilk. You just avoiding or rookie? Yeah, Brandon IUCis one. Because of the devo Samuel Injury, he will probably be theirwide receiver one. So He's definitely a lot of upside. But I'm notsure if, like, he might be available on the waivers. So youcould wait and see with those sort of blokes, but he's probably the mainone upside for me. Yeah, I was reading this morning. Apparently they'reboth injured but they're both expected to play...

...week one. But divo Samuel's thisthe whole preseason camp, so even if he does play, it might belike only a couple snouts or something. Curtis anyone else you want to bringup? Well, obviously maybe bit of a gag, but if he ifhe does any piece like sixty, if he just would to getting picked up. Maybe if he just manages to somehow get picked up by a team, which is just not going to happen. But if it does, he's probablythe biggest ceiling out of everyone on the list, just because he's an additivebowler, but he's also in low stool. He's a psycho as well. So, like you wouldn't want to pick him up, but you'd be keepingyour eyes peeled just in case he yes picked up on waivers or just asa free agent or something. But I don't know. I don't even knowif the NFL would let him back in. So yeah, I wouldn't. Iwouldn't even point out him in the draft. So and then just somerandom rookies that I feel like I've got potential high ceiling, just like kindof DK metcalf. Why you would just have him on a bench or justpick him up on a waiver for a week just because they might have hugeproduction one week. But I had pittman for the colts. I I knowyou boys don't know maybe too much about him, but I back him hugely. I think he was great out of us see and I feel like he'sgoing to be great in the NFL as well. I UCU was another oneI had who you mentioned Pilch, and then I always had Justin Jefferson atthe Vikings. I feel like he kind of feels that void that Dieck's leftand he actually might take some of the kind of product action that diach hatand maybe substitute that nicely. So I feel like he could be another onewith the huge shilling. Yeah, I can't lie. I think every rookieis in my avoid to be honest, just so you wouldn't drop it anyyeah, thinking about the top guys, I think they all have flawed situationsat the moment. Like you got rugs. He is playing with not a greatwell, rugs is specialties that he's rapid, so he's going to bea downfield target. Well, his QB only throws a three yards, sothere's a genuine issue there. Jerry Judy, I don't mind Jerry Judy situation, but I just don't think drew locks gonna be like pumping out enough yardsfor dudy's a wide receiver, to to be benefiting from it. Who elsewere dealing with? Jefferson, I've heard. Well, we talked about this lastpodcast, but apparently is actually the wide receivers three behind like their seventhround pick. So that's someone else. So I'm a bit worried about yeah, I guess Pittman is probably the main guy I'd keep an eye on,but most of the others I'm not too keen on. CD Lamb. Yeah, yeah, you might score a few points, but at the end ofthe day he's behind to pretty top tier wide receivers in Gallop and Cooper. So I wouldn't be too keen on him either. Jaylen, other are youas well? I don't know. Jaalen Rega and radar can pretty hard here. I'm Ho on him. He could. He could be there wide receiver one, because you got de Sean Jackson and I'll Sean Jeffrey. We don'treally know what they're going to bring, I mean their fossils at this point. They haven't really been good like elite for for a while now. Sohe could be. Could take the mantle now. I just probably couple onejust now. What about WHO's this seahawksplode? Could they picked up from New Englandwho was an absolute bowler like he? Apparently he's like physical actribute. Ican remember the name, but he could have a huge stealings his nameand Watkins. I feel I could have a huge ceiling. Actually it's justroute, just last year, when I just think he whipped up like fiftysomething points round one and he had another game where it was high forty. So really easier fleet a flex option. Maybe. Yeah, I play abad team. I think Watkins is their wide receiver three now, but Imean, yeah, mcole, Harbin, Coole Hardman will be yeah, right, true boys. I've got a few names to rutle off here for theceiling. So first up, Deva Samuel. I know he's missed training, can'tmight miss week one, but second year player. Second half of lastyear he was sixteen, so I like him and he's being picked up atposition thirty six, so I think there's some value in that pick. Stephandigs, I don't know. He could be ceiling, he could be avoid. He's going to a new situation. Is being picked up at ATP TwentySix. I don't know if that's value there, but he's been atop ten wide receiver in the past. He was ten in two thousand andeighteen, despite feel and balling out that year. So yeah, I'm pretty, you know, wary of digs, but I think he could also bepretty awesome for them. He could be their downfield target. They might lookto score a lot more this year. Josh Allen might rush a few LESTD'sand might try and throw a few more. Emmanuel Sanders, someone else is goingto New Orleans. He's probably just...

I don't know. He's been atop twenty wide receiver in the past. It's been picked up at ATP fortyfive, so you could just be some bench flott of there with a bitupside. Ty Hilton. Ty Hild's up tough one, like a lot ofthe guys were mentioning here. He's got a very big injury past, butapparently he's looking all right this preseason. I don't once again, though,we don't know if you'll play much, but he came thirteen and two thousandand eighteen. When he played last year he wasn't bad average. He wasthirty fourth on average, and but he's ATP is twenty seven. So I'dprobably stay steer clear of that one. And then a few, a fewpods here. Deshawn Jackson. As we said, he is a fossil, but he averages seventeen point four yards perception for his career, which is whichonly five people average more than that perception in last season and he's done itover like a twelve year career. He's forty yard time as four, threefive, so he's a rapid down field threat. I'm me averages one touchdownevery ten receptions, so he's basically going to be averaging one every two.Well, you would say that over he has been doing that over his careerand he's had three a thousand plus yard seasons in his last seven. Sowe didn't see much of him last year. Only played three games, but Ithink he's definitely someone to watch out for. If he stays fit,he could come out of nowhere. And he's ATP is fifty nine, sofor me he's a great bench option. Aj Green, another guy atps thirtyone, but he's been a top ten wide receiver in the past. He'sa legendary guy, so he could be one to watch. I don't knowif he's going to start round one, though, because I think he's beenbattling injury as always. And then three absolute pods. But Josh Reynolds LosAngeles Rams. He's been bumped up from the from the practice squad, basicallyto take brandon cooks spot as the wide receiver three. Yet he could besomeone if you know the Rams, of pumping out two thousand and eighteen numbers. Mccole Hardman, I think has a high ceiling, pretty low flaw but, as you said, he's looking to be their wide receiver number two. He's absolutely rapid. Kansas is going to score a lot of points, sohe there could be some value in that. And then Bros Shure, Brichard Perryman, he's at, if he's sixty two, he looks like he's goingto be the New York jets wide receiver to and last year he is playingat tamper so wide receiver friendly offense. But he in the second half oflast season he actually averaged is at he average fourteen point seven and putting himtwenty first. So he shows that he has some high scoring potential. Andif he's at p sixty two, I don't know why you wouldn't just puta cheeky bench option on him. So yeah, that's it for my ceiling. Sorry for naming half the NFL there. But now moving into the avoid section, pilch, who are you not looking at picking up this season?Well, I mentioned Beck and before, but Aj Green just not not havinga bar in injuries. Fossil, not even their wide receiver one. Ifhe is on the field. Tyler Boyd is clear that that's debatable. OutFor receiver. Told Board's gone over a thousand yards the last two seasons andhe's he's in the slot. He's definitely the Alpha. So yeah, he'sAJ Green's not even in my top forty. So see you, lader mate.Fair enough or yeah, like can't really argue with that. I thinkthere is a little bit of bias there since we haven't seen him play becausewe've only been flying the NFL for a few seasons. But not fair enough. Okay. I'd also do think he'll be getting drafted a little bit tooearly, getting weights or whatever. Yeah, he's straightly wouldn't be getting into likefifty. But I'm curtis, anyone you just avoiding the season? CDLamb. Definitely not going near him, I know. I just don't feellike you do the production. He's obviously a great option there, but forsomeone you want on your bench Um, as I was saying before, Ifeel like you want someone who got a big consistency just in case someone popsout. So yeah, I wouldn't be touching city lamb. Just obviously beeasy rookie as well. So he's unknown in terms of his potential at theNFL level. So yeah, wouldn't be touching him. Fair enough. Sohim. Dallas had Michael Gallop in the section, but then I saw he'satps thirty. So that's kind of made me rethink it because I think ifyou're taking him at thirty, I think that's a good pick. Last yearfinished the seasons in seventeen, but I don't think he's a starting wide receiver. But yeah, like I can't really put him in the avoid if he'sATP thirty, but I'll my main ones here are just the New York giantswide receivers. I wouldn't touch any of them. They rarely, I don'tthink all three of them got on the park for more than like one matchlast season. Shepherd, at his concussion...

...injuries tape, was suspended for thefirst half of the season. They ended up all doing pretty decently. Shepherdwas twenty four, tate, twenty eight, slate and thirty nine, but,as I said, they were often the wide receiver one because the otherblock was in there. Where this season, if they're all there, one ofthem is going to be the wide receiver three and one will be thewide receiver to and Sake one's back even ingram might be back. So Iwould just be seriously where these guys. The ATPS are once again quite low. So maybe if they're there as a bench ops and you're taking them becauseis the ATPS respectively, slaten's forty three, takes fifty three and shepherds forty four. So there could be some bench value there because we do expect thegiants to score a lot of points this season. But yeah, in termsof taking them as a start or anything, I'd probably steer clear because there's alot of uncertainty there. Hilt of you on another one. Yeah,Davante Parker of the dolphins. This had probably be an unpopular one, butstarted last season Preston Williams was there, Alpha receiver. Parker was shit.It was a myth. Preston Williams did his knee, then Parker became aGod. Preston Williams is back fit and firing, so I'm not even sureif park is going to be there. Alfa receiver and he's playing for thedolphins as well. So and they've got Marcus sicky to WHO does like totake up a few targets here and there. So I've seen he's going way toohigh. I think he's going in like the early twenty twenty four.Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's just a bit yea, yeah, that'sone. I and the clocked like cut hours ago. But yeah, Iwas looking at him and Preston Williams and I was like the Parkers, stayaway from that, Curtis. Who Else you avoiding? Pretty much anyone fromChicago this. Let's be on the arm. Sure, I'll be a Wa Cohen, we'll not be touching him. Touched him last year when I pickedhim up in the draft and very great that. Colin Man, he's rightnow. He's actually a wide receiver. He came in its wide receiver.I'm pretty sure the draft boards last year. Don't know if he's this year, but lastly he was a wide receiver when I picked him up and hedid dog shit. So yeah, we'll not be touching him. Oh,yeah, he's been changed to a running back, but all he does iscatch. Yeah, he's he played, he's a running back, but henever runs. So yeah, fair enough. Yeah, Taylor, Gabriel, TedGin, don't touch him. Allen Robinson touch him everywhere, but Idon't mind a clear Hilla. He's going pretty low. So and is thereN it's such a risk, I don't know. I don't even know ifthere's much upside in it either, because they're not going to be scoring anypoints or anything. A couple other guys I've got here. So I hadHollywood Brown, but I completely see why it's got a high ceiling. Andthen next to my final two, I've actually got caught in Sutton here. He's going quite high. He's going nineteen. He had pretty well once Emmanuel Sanderis left, but ultimately he only averaged twenty seven. He was thirtythree in the second half of last year and he's going nineteen. So I'mnot really sure where that adds up. Jerry Judy's coming in. He wonthe wide receiver awards coming out of college just by not being picked up numberone, so arguably could become the most talented wide receiver there. Yeah,I don't know, I'm just steering clear. Drew Lock. I was looking atSutton's starts when drew locked this quarterback and they completely plummeted. I don'tthink he scored more than like sixteen points or something with him. I don'tknow. I think I was looking at Parker the same situation, so Iwas going to be confused. But yeah, I's deer clear of southing. Idon't know why. He's nineteen to be honest. And then another guyI've got is John Brown. He's not going very high. So he's forty. So probably worth picking up at forty to be honest, but just withdigs coming in. The whole situations bit unknown. He was twenty three lastseason. So yeah, probably wouldn't be picking him up as a starter ora flex anytime soon. I don't think he has too much upside there.I mean boys, got any others? Just the Pittsburgh boys generally just wouldn'tbe touching them at all, including my shooster. Just yeah, right, that they're all just yeah, I don't know whether it be. I justwant to see whether Rossberg is actually to lead to an improvement from them orwhether they're generally just got no whiteouts for Rossbery. You show. Yeah,I would have been touching them. Yeah, and and I definitely rate that. And they've picked up Eric Ebrom as their second tight end. So there'sprobably going to be the less footy going...

...out wide more footy going the gutsto the big FELLAS pilch anymore. Mike Williams from the chargers. I don'tthink he's a decent player, but he just he just cops no volume andthey're their offense is going to be pretty Yuck. And obviously Keenan Allen getsall the targets there. So I think he will produce, be producing sometwo's. Yeah, he's going. That's decently. He's going like forty on. Yeah, yeah, I don't know why. Yeah, People Froth MikeWilliams like, I guess because in terms of actually nfl he's probably pretty good. We just don't get I remember you took an absolute beast catch last year. All it doesn't like and then just like smack he's back on the floorlike two me isn't here. But yeah, we've basically gone through everyone. Idon't think. I think Marvin Jones is the only bloke left who wehad in our top twenty five. So we haven't talked about but still don'twant to talk about it. Yeah, so we've touched on the whole NFLhere. So we done a pretty good job. I reckon good work, fellas. Any any parting words to the fellows hurt. There's more NFL fanshypodcast coming up, because I enjoy them. Yeah, and my absolutely it's writing. What the Hell the plan is? We're going to record the draft live. That's what I'm hoping anyway. Will we'll see how it works, though. Want to do that definitely, and then we well, what I'mplanning to do is, I don't know how frequent will be, but Iwant to do like NFL fantasy recap. Will also NFL, but but itprobably more focused in fantasy. Talk about our league, talk about the peopleare doing well. So maybe every fortnight will do that or something like that. So there's definitely going to be a lot more NFL content now that theseason starting, but also fantasy content. Will keep this going throughout the season. I don't know when the draft episode is come out, but in caseit comes out on Saturday, the get first game will already happened. Socan we get a prediction from you boys, chiefs, Texans, who we backingin Kurt chiefs, if I have any? I have any how deepthe sound? I feel like it could be pretty deep. Well, threefoot look in at the mouth, twenty points, even thirty points, pertend, I feel like it could be an absolute battering this first game of theseason, though, so they might not be is sexy as normal, butpilch. Yeah, I think the Texans are going to bed dog shit thisyear. Not even not even close making the playoffs. So could get ugly. Texans fans look away now, don't even don't even watch the game, because you might not. You might not even be a Texans Fan if youwatch that shit. I don't back that call at all, to be honest. They've lost like one player. So yeah, I read about the bestquarterback in the world and they have a shocking our line. Well, therewere tons. Apparently all was read, and apparently that our lines not thatbad, that the shore loves to see in the pocket and then he lovesto scramp straight out of the pocket. So it just adds up to sackswhen it shouldn't really be sacks, and he holds onto it ages because heliked yacks himself to avoid the tackles. That's what I read, but enough. So I definitely think chiefs will be going into heavy favorite, probably payinglike a dollar twenty the bookies. I'd say. I don't to go toomany because it's first game of the season, so they will probably be rusty themselves. There's been no preseason games, so I'll say chiefs by Seventeen.Don't even know if that much and possible, but I'll back it in all right. Thanks for joining me, boys. I can't lie. I thought thisepisode was going to be three hours at one point, but we didwell to get it to a pretty nice time. So, yeah, thishas been a complete wrap of every wide receiver to have ever breathed on earth. Tune in. If you've enjoyed the NFL fantasy content, you can gowatch our past episodes. We talked about pretty much every position there is.And Yeah, good luck for the NFL fantasy season if you're listening, andwe'll see you, boys and the suit.
